Well, I thouht I'd better start this thread as I am CD1 of my 6th cycle of trying for our very precious first baby. This is going to be a lucky and positive thread, I can feel it so I'm laying down the babydust now so that as you join me, you can collect your dose .

For those who join me, what are you doing differently this cycle?

OP posts:
MadameButterfly · 22/11/2006 20:20

I have decided to bite the bullet and join you all on here.

I had my Implanon taked out in June and we have been trying since then without success.

Here's hoping that Sant is good to me this Christmas.

If not, it is fun trying anyway.

Beccarolloveragain · 22/11/2006 22:00

Hi

Have you got room for another?

Im on CD15 and Im really crampy and swollen tum today. Can anyone shed some light as to why this is?

Thanks!

Flossam · 22/11/2006 22:38

Confused My EWCM started on Saturday and is still around today, along with cramps like I have not known before. TBH I'm not 100% sure it wasn't wind or a bit of a UTI but I'm planning to attack DP again tonight although he has a hefty dose of man flu so I am not sure how far I will get! Is it normal to have 5 days worth of this?? I'm CD12 today...

Sorry MMJ I didn't see you had new job - congratulations!

Minshu · 22/11/2006 22:55

Good grief - how on earth am I ever going to catch up with you all!!!

Congrats on the job, MrsMc. Hope all goes well with your DH tomorrow.

Kittiwake - totally with you on hoping for an excuse to sit out the winter sports! DH has decided that he loves that kind of thing, but I'm not so convinced...

Greedy - yes - I have difficulty telling the difference between CM and the other stuff, too... best off getting lots of the magic ingredient and trying not to worry about the CM.

Having said that, ewcm appeared yesterday so made sure that DH did the deed (poor bloke, what he has to put up with ) before disappearing away with work overnight tonight (which would have been the best time...) Nevermind, it might be enough and we'll try to catch up tomorrow night.

Hello Beccarolloveragain - do you get this kind of thing at other times of your cycle? I sometimes get that before AF, but also at random intervals and put it down to eating something dodgy (or just eating too much )...

Flossam - if I notice it at all, I normally only get ewcm for a couple of days, so can't help I'm afraid. But we are all different, so it's probably not a problem. The text books can only talk about averages.

Mirry71 · 23/11/2006 09:00

Kittiwake - me too on the excuse to sit out the skiing!
Just been for my final set of blood tests. Booked an appointment for results in 2 weeks time - they say it takes about 10 days to come through. Anyway ladies can I just ask your advice on something sensitive.....Both DH and I will hear resuklts of test at same time I guess (joint appointment). And I know this sounds silly but I don't mind if it's me who's got the prob but I think it will hit DH hard if it is him...how did anyone else deal with it? I just want to do/say the right thing if it does turn out that way..

greedyguzzler · 23/11/2006 09:23

mirry - thats a tough one! cant really offer anything useful to say i am afraid. sorry.

impatience! - my temp finally went up today (cd26) yippee! BUT you told me to have a break from BDing last night and OBVIOUSLY i do everything i am told, SO......if i dont get my BFP i will HAVE to blame you and when you have your baby i will be coming round and stealing it from you! i hope thats ok!

Flossam · 23/11/2006 09:36

I think that sounds wholly reasonable GG!

Kitty I don't know either. Perhaps it might be an idea to talk it through with him beforehand?

KitKat30 · 23/11/2006 11:00

Hello girls! Only have intermittent access to a PC today, so just wanted to say a quick hello to everyone and a big thank you for the warm welcome on the Dec sleigh!! It's lovely and cosy....

Chat more later when my life returns to normal!

Ready · 23/11/2006 11:32

Morning ladies!

Thinking of MrsMc and MrMc today with his op!!

Sideways - nervous for you. fingers crossed. step away from the pg test until AF is due... save your money and the stress.

Impatience - think positive!! Testing on the 3rd... not long to wait. Keep karma Fingers crossed.

Kittiwake - OOoooh a cycle buddy yeeeahh! Hope you are enjoying the BDing phase. I know I am

Greedy - PMSL at babygravy!! I was thinking about that very thing yesterday, but was too to ask!! Hmmm Congrats on the temp shift by the way!

Female - Hang in there, it's not over yet, and I will repeat what I said to Sideways... step away from the pg test!! From the things I have read on here a BFN can change and it just causes stress (hug)

MadameButterfly - Welcome to the Sleigh. Fingers crossed for you.

Beccarolloveragain - I posted on your other thread... I am guessing since you joined us here that you decided to go for number 3!! yay!

Mirry71 - Thinking of you and your tests, fingers crossed there is nothing wrong with either of you!

Everyone else who I might have missed. Hugs.

Impatience · 23/11/2006 12:37

Yeah, Greedy, you always struck me as someone who would do exactly what she's told...

I shall safely agree to giving you my baby given that you don't know who or where I am and it will probably be an invisible baby that noone else can touch, hear or smell because I'll have completely lost my marbles through tcc and s/he will be a hallucination!

Congrats on getting a temp hike. Sounds like perfect timing: You thoroughly saturated yourself with sperm, giving it loads of time to wriggle into place and ambush the egg while you refrained from throwing yourself around and lying with your legs in the air for a night. Well done! See, I was advising you well If anyone ever needs any post-hoc justification, any topic, I'm your gal

To those with mid-cycle cramps, I get crampy around ovulation. I get that smitzlesmirtzlesmztztmjtttzzzzz thing (ovary tweaks) and general swollen tum and crampiness, and these things can go on for a few days. While we're all sharing, I also get a bit constipated around ovulation which might explain the bloating.

Good strong wishes beaming out from this unknown location to Mrs and Mr McSpink for the op today: I hope everything is good and Mr's back gets better soon.

Hello to everyone else, good luck with staying calm, and with your various cramps, blobs, bding positions and gravy

greedyguzzler · 23/11/2006 12:49

not sure i can cope with a name like beccarolloveragain! its a bit of a long one! (as i was just saying to my dh the other night!) i might have to call you something else, but not sure what! (i will let impatience come up with something gsuitably witty!) anyway beccadeccarolypoly its no.3 you are trying for is it? same as me! how long have you been ttc this time? sorry if you have already said i cant rem!
ready...you are so good at not missing anyone out? are you one of those people who is nice to everyone in real life too? i bet you are!

greedyguzzler · 23/11/2006 12:51

i have changed my mind now impatience! i dont think i want your baby anymore! i wasnt thinking straight.......you could be ginger or anything!!!!!

greedyguzzler · 23/11/2006 12:52

only joking....my dd is a little redhead!

Beccarolloveragain · 23/11/2006 13:24

LOL Greedy, feel free to call me becca or even BR!!

This is just my second cycle. I removed my own mirena a couple of months ago - (not sure if you remember the thread)

and have been humming and hahing ever since about whether to go for it but lo and behold we have been having unprotected sex so I suppose we have been anyway!

yes, it is number 3! I have a DD age 7 and a DS age 3

Cant wait to sniff another newborns head :D

Impatience · 23/11/2006 13:55

Sensible decision not to take my baby, Greedy: I am moody, strong-willed, NEVER do what I'm told, and I'm a terrible sleeper. Hang on, why do I want my own baby..?!

MrsMcJnr · 23/11/2006 13:58

Hello all Thank you for your good vibes and thoughts for my DH. I stayed with him until he went in for the op and then drove home. When I got back they called to say he was out of surgery and fine. I spoke to him and he was groggy but doing well. Massive relief. I nearly cried when he gave me his wedding ring to look after but I am going back with it this evening!

Welcome to the newbies MadameButterfly and Beccarolloveragain! nice to have you with us on this very special, calm and lucky thread! {here's hoping!) Could your pains be OV?

Greedy - great news about the temp hike! see what happens when you relax!?

Female - all the very best for those cycle! Hopefully you won't have the painters in for at least 9 months

Hello Flossam - you should count yourself lucky with all that EWCM! (but what's it's spink!??! )

Sorry Mirry71, can't help with how to help your DH cope if that is the case as not been there but it is worth pointing out if that is the case that diet and some lifestyle changes can make a massive difference in some cases. Hope that both of you are fine. You might want to post a separate thread about it? I do recall a few ladies with DH related problems a few months back who might come and assist you?

Hello to you all and hope everyone is feeling calm and happy.

My software has confirmed that I OVd on Monday instead of today so we did the best we could this cycle that said, I only had 5 fertile days pre OV this cycle.

OP posts:
Flossam · 23/11/2006 14:03

Hi all.

So sorry MMJ, didn't say good luck earlier. Hope all goes well today and DH is back home soon. xx

STILL having EWCM - couldn't convince Dp to go for it last night, and have nagged him a bit too much this morning - he's off to work soon. I will try to be more chilled next month (ha ha ha) and if still not pregnant in Jan will fork out for OV tests. Just too much beyond our budget atm and the ebay ones - well, after the crap pregnancy tests and the umming and ahhing around then - lets say I'd trust my MIL more...

Becca - are you the becca who's been here albeit with a shorter name for ages or a new becca with a longer name? Welcome anyhow!

Two days off work now but lots to do - working the weekend and my mum is coming down - calls for some intensive housework...

Flossam · 23/11/2006 14:04

X posted MMJ - so pleased all went well. x

Impatience · 23/11/2006 14:07

MrsMcJ, 5 days pre-ov fertility sounds great, what're you worrying about?

If you ov'd on Monday will testing on the 3rd be too early?

Most of all, I'm pleased MrMc's op went well, and that's he's safely out of surgery. I hope you can chill out a bit this afternoon and recover yourself. x

MrsMcJnr · 23/11/2006 14:22

Thanks Flossam and Impatience

Not worried Impatience just used to having more time between AF and OV to BD that's all My LP has not been longer than 11 days in the last 5 cycles and my software is now predicting AF on 2/12 which would be 12dpo so 3/12 will be 13dpo - think I stand a good chance of getting a BFP that day if AF hasn't arrived don't
you? Apparently 68% of BFPs show up on 13dpo.

Nerve wracking thinking that I'll know again so soon if I am or not!

Babydust to you all!

OP posts:
Impatience · 23/11/2006 14:38

I dont know whether you're likely to get bfp or not on 13dpo: I am very skeptical of those damned tests and even if I get a neg 28dpo I still think I wont really believe it till I ovulate again!

After months of testing early out of impatience but then not trusting/believing the neg result we resolved not to test earllier than af due. But this month I'll make an exception and test a day early, just for you, because you made me very welcome on this thread and because poor MrMc had to have an operation

Beccarolloveragain · 23/11/2006 15:35

I dont think Im the becca as Ive only just joined the thread!

Cramps have now gone - does this mean I ovulated yesterday?

Impatience · 23/11/2006 15:38

Perhaps, or perhaps the cramps will come back, or perhaps you ate too many crisps! You need to monitor more signs. Have you noticed any mucus? Are you taking your temperature? Did you get really horny? All signs of ovulation, I'm not just being a perve!

Impatience · 23/11/2006 15:40

Er, phrasing sounded a bit like I might have been being a perve who was also helping you decide whether you were ovulating. I wasn't being a perve at all!

Ready · 23/11/2006 15:43

Greedy - Yes I am a very nice person to everyone in real life!! Tee hee. Are you suggesting this is not real life

MrsMc - Hugs about your DH and the wedding ring. Blub. But he's on the mend now. Let us know how the surgery went when you get the details. fingers crossed he will be pain free and raring to go in no time at all. OOh just thought though, you could be growing a littleMcjnr as I type... Oh how exciting
