Ladies, Fred title says it all; we are the ones who shag as much as our men can cope with in order to get upduffed without the stress of scientific whatnots!

Fred rules (copied and adapted from previous Fred)

 1. Thou shalt shag as much as humanly possible in order to get upduffed.
 2. Thou shalt not partake of OPKs, temping, or charting.
 3. Thou shalt keep symptom spotting to a minimum.
 4. Thou shalt share with your fredmates where needed.

JSing lingo

ERTD = Evil Red Tide of Dooooooommmmmmm. Or AF to most others. Also know as 'the witch', 'bitch witch' and 'that one with the red shiny convertible'

Viroid = This is you, dear poster. This is from the first JS thread when someone tried to type 'ladies' and it autocorrected to 'Viroids' - so there you go!

Pant snot = Egg white cervical mucus.

Doing a kitten = Getting upduffed soon after joining (warning: may induce envy in other posters).

POAS = Pee On A Stick (of the pregnancy detecting kind, not from a tree). Also known as PIAR (Pee In A Ramekin - cos we're posh birds innit). Or PIATLH (Tea light holder) PIAWG (Wine glass) or anything else you care to pee in! PONF = Pee on Nigel Farage. Self explanatory, who wouldn't?

ROC - Receptacle of Choice - what one chooses to use for the task of POAS. Optional decorations include photographs of controversial political leaders.

JIAC = Jizz in a Cup. Preferable to jizz on the carpet or jizz in the eye. This one's for the lucky men in our lives.

Shagging like Something = JSing like a teenage nymphomaniac.

Giving a hooya = Giving a much needed slap to a fellow poster in danger of slipping into ttc obsession. Warning - this may happen to you if you start trying to POAS at 5dpo. PUT. THE. PISSY. STICK. DOWN. IT'S TOO EARLY!

Contraband = Of COURSE none of us EVER partake of any silly OPKs or temp charting. They are Contraband.

Icing = ovulating. Another autocorrect development!

Getting your Cape on = planning some serious pouncing on DH/DP

SOTM = Shagger of the Month. Awarded with varying regularity to those viroids who go above and beyond EOD shagging in pursuit of that BFP

TWOT - Two Weeks of Torture. AKA Schroedingering!
TWPU - Two Week Piss Up!

Keeping your gingers = fingers crossed, yet another autocorrect development! Shortened to 'gx'

Doing A Lemon = Testing WAAAAAAAY to early!

Thanks viroids for all of the encouragement. POAS again this morning and def a line again, oh my bloody god. I will try to say hello from the Alps but may disappear for a week or so! Hoping for some exciting news from some of you when I return! Definitely not ready for grads yet, it's sooooo early that I know anything could happen. But yes, today I am pregnant. Oh my goodness.

australopithecus · 29/01/2015 05:27

Jeez ga don't go doing things like that! I second a trip to the gp!

australopithecus · 29/01/2015 05:28

Aw bat. Flowers

jellypi3 · 29/01/2015 07:19

Enjoy your break bat!!

Monitor is saying high again today, but that OPK last night was pretty damn strong. We shagged regardless.

Any news lil

Stoatystoat · 29/01/2015 07:31

Whoop congrats Bat. Enjoy your holiday.

honeysucklejasmine · 29/01/2015 07:33

waves pom poms Go Bat, Go!

Have a fantastic holiday!

lildottie · 29/01/2015 08:28

have a fab holiday bat, and remember you don't have to tell your secret even if they guess. I do like the vitamin idea!

jelly you are worse than me! they won't phone until after 9. haven't slept well and seems the cramps have combined with trapped wind. although it wasn't as trapped last night, poor dh!

jellypi3 · 29/01/2015 08:35

Haha sorry lil it's just so exciting!! (you must be feeling it 1000 times over).

I told DP about the Soy this morning, he happy for us to give it a go for 3 months or so with the Soy.

Does anyone know how much a private fertility work up costs? I'm thinking this might be our other option if the Soy doesn't work.

lildottie · 29/01/2015 08:50

jelly I more than anyone understand how you are feeling right now, but I honestly don't think its worth getting tests done yet. what was the date of your last depo injection? I think you should give the soy a go and reassess. and know that people do clomid for 6 months. have you looked at dosages? think I read you should start with 50mg as that's half of the starting clomid dose.

I also don't think there is much point your dh being tested until you know you are ovulating and have been trying for a bit with ovulatory cycles.

I don't mean to sound harsh. with dhs sample being in normal limits on Tuesday I wonder if we should've been a bit more patient.

I think one of the best things you can do is switch to a high protein, low GI diet. I've learnt so much about how important protein is for fertility. for us and the men!

and please remember there is nothing wring with you. you're just unfortunate to be one of the unlucky ones with depo Thanks

lildottie · 29/01/2015 08:50

*wrong

jellypi3 · 29/01/2015 09:04

Thanks lil, sorry I know I'm sounding selfish, when you have been through pretty much torture with stabby needles!

DP is very impatient, and I am worse, he is determined that by March we are going to the doctors, but I keep telling him we need to try other avenues. It's why I considered private workup, because at least then we won't get turned down by the NHS and we can find out if everything is normal (and if so just keep shagging!).

Last Depo was February, so pretty much 12 months ago. Looking in to it, most people start getting success around the 12 month mark, so maybe that OPK yesterday was a sign something is trying to happen inside. I know we need to be patient, it's just difficult. But we have time on our side, being 24, so there's no rush I guess!

I think the starting dose for Soy is around 80-100mg, clomid is 200mg (been reading the SI fred on MN and on another forum too). I'm going to go out to buy them tonight, plus some more EPO.

I'll try and convince DP about diet. He is very stubborn when it comes to food (he loves his carbs, chips and potato with everything).

LaLa5 · 29/01/2015 09:14

Jelly I have to say I agree with lil - you've not been trying long enough yet as your af only returned towards end of 2014 if I remember rightly? You can't get fertility investigation on nhs until you've been ttc a year and then they say another 6 months to a year before they would consider ivf. I went through the fertility appointments and was so frustrated but in the end they were right and I did get pg naturally.

I know it's frustrating but stick with it

LaLa5 · 29/01/2015 09:15

I would go from when your cycles normalised not when you had last depo. I came off pill but didn't get period for 3 months so I count ttc from then x

lildottie · 29/01/2015 09:19

jelly don't apologise, everyone's story is different and equally important. if depot Feb then I'd say 3-4 months on Si before seeing gp would be about right. 6 would be better. agree with la they will count from when AF returned not before.

anyway back to Meeeeeeee! (cos I know you is excited Jells)

one hasn't progressed, one has gone ahead. the remaining 5 are still with us but not top grade.

so I'm going in today! fuck! waiting for nurse to call as I my need to go in to be checked out first as still feeling tender!

jellypi3 · 29/01/2015 09:35

OMG lil that's amazing............

Will they freeze the other eggs? Is your DH off work?

La I know you and lil are right of course. I am just being stupid and feeling down with work stuff etc. I do count in my head from October when AF came back as to how long we have been TTC, so a year will be Oct time if we get that far, which I am sure we won't.

I just told DP we are starting a low GI high protein diet, and his reply was "too many beans..."!

Cheering you and the embryo on today lil

LaLa5 · 29/01/2015 09:35

Ooooooh! Come on little frembryo!

CountryGal4 · 29/01/2015 09:40

Or are they lil-breyos????

lildottie · 29/01/2015 09:49

got to go in for blood tests so going in for 11.

la they haven't been frozen do not frembryos yet. they are embies in my head!

lildottie · 29/01/2015 09:57

oh jelly dh wfh as self employed so he's just told the guy he's working with that he won't be around much today. not sure what will happen to other embies yet. will probably have to speak to embryologist after transfer gx we get to transfer today

lildottie · 29/01/2015 09:57

oh and I don't eat that many beans! I up the meat portions and bulk out with veg!

jellypi3 · 29/01/2015 10:05

gx too

Do you have a cook book you use for the recipes then? I Just printed a load off from the BBC good food website.

lildottie · 29/01/2015 10:12

I get loads from BBC good food. google BBC right diet for you as there are some good ones there too.

I use an app called food planner app too to meal plan. I can link later if you like x

rachelrawrrr · 29/01/2015 10:31

congratulations Lil and bat!

sorry to hear you've been feeling down, jelly Sad but don't apologise we all get those days Thanks

I got a phone call yesterday.. having my tonsils removed around the time I'm (hopefully) ovulating this month Sad damn it!!!!!

jellypi3 · 29/01/2015 10:56
