Sorry af arrived boosk and any others. Getting af cramps myself tonight to add insult to injury. Thanks for all the virtual flowers and hugs by the way. I'm not giving up yet tho! Dh is on another health boost. We've improved his swimmers once we can do it again! Bumped up his normal forms by 3 whole % last summer but with winter flu's and chest infections has got the better of him. If we can them up by 3% or more again we can still try iui. Watch this space!

As for caffeine, I've been off it just in case for many months now. If I have a coffee I feel really ill now! My mate has got 3 kids and was drinking gallons of the stuff whilst ttc, still drinking booze and didn't even know how long her cycles are or when she ovd! Oh the naive bliss....

Oh, Melon, yes, now I remember; the dreaded miscarriage. I'm so sorry The good news is that it is not an old wives' tale that you are more fertile for the first three cycles after a mc, so don't panic. It is also perfectly normal to take yonks for that first cycle to sort itself out. So my thunderously unique and brilliant advice is to be patient. I'm sorry if that sounds glib, but you have every chance of getting up the duff soon

I will be AWOL for the next half hour as I am making creamy sausage tagliatelle from scratch. Disclaimer: I cannot promise to not abuse the dildo-sized roll of sausagemeat currently grooming me from the fridge it's the only sausage on offer round these parts lately

Sorry, Melon, I see this is your second cycle since the miscarriage. It's still to be expected that it will be an odd one. I actually believe ov pains are the best signal to watch for, after positive OPKS. Mind you, it's bamboozled me how so many women report several instances of surges!

Boris I second Purdey, go GP to get the ball rolling but say you've been trying 12 months +. Not that I would generally advocate lying, but it can take a while for all tests to be carried out so the sooner the better to put your mind at rest if nothing else.

purdie you're not a statistic, don't get too stressed with averages lady! I would expect that that 2 year stat is brought down by a small percentage who take years to conceive. Massive FX that you beat the hell out of the average!

I've been to a funeral of my work colleague today who died far too young :( In by myself tonight so going to relax, and watch a chick flick (before sunset) which I wouldn't usually get a chance to watch around DH. Maybe a glass of wine too, I've been trying nearly a year, cant stop drinking just in case forever! No jacuzzis for me tomorrow though just in case!

Also sorry victoria so sorry you didn't get the results you want. time goes so slow when told to wait when TTC. Hopefully it was a particularly bad batch caused by November's virus so good chance for improvement. Wishing you a weekend of calm and hope you get a holiday booked for some relaxation.

I've just had my 12 week scan today and all is well. I've got quite a few opks, hpts and tubes of conceive plus that are no-longer needed, so I'd like to gift them to one of the ladies who supported me through ttc and my cp.

I don't understand why my body is not 'ready' to DTD early enough in my cycle... I am super horny and loads of cm on ov day and after and my boobs look massive, but I want to get some some spermies up there early and even with lube I am v uncomfortable when DTD! Apparently the best chance of conceiving is before ov so why doesn't my body GET WITH THE PROGRAMME?!

We are trying every other day this time, seeing as every day (and sometimes twice) didn't get us anywhere last time.

So we will only DTD about 4 times... Hope it's enough.

DH has his sperm analysis coming up, who else mentioned their dp/DH was having one soon?

We are on cycle 12 and I have had 21 day bloods.

purdie yes think you've got to watch them in order to 'get' the films, each filmed 9 years apart. Only seen #1 currently though!

I've been in a right grump all day today, possibly because of DP being too tired to dtd last night. Opk was slightly weaker today, still quite a strong line but not sure if it was quite dark enough to be a positive.

Dr purdey, what do you reckon, has my moment passed or is it possible I might get another dark line in a few days? Just thinking about what you were saying yesterday?

9dpo and boobs are mega sore today. I just keep waiting for the ache to dull (which normally means AF is due) but it doesn't seem to be fading yet... or am I just talking too soon..
Chin spots are getting worse which is normally a sign, and cramping has finally begun, although slightly.
Also and i'm probably clutching at straws here... but can piles be a symptom?? Or is it just... TMI.. a sign of a really big poo??

Dizzy, a true LH surge will only last four hours. You have 24-36 until ov occurs. My opinion is, that by DTD up to and the day after ov you have covered all bases. However, if you were to see ewcm later on in your cycle then get the opk's out again.
