Well, I've never had premenstrual symptoms like this before. I could have sworn AF arrived this afternoon, but nope, still nothing! Well, bubbling burps and random farts. That's what I have. Oh, and now some great new cramping. That's an exciting development. Usually there's no cramping until my really heavy period day.

So, trying not to get my hopes up. Really trying not to get my hopes up. If AF doesn't arrive by Tuesday, I'll know something's up.

Rainy34 · 16/01/2015 20:18

Oh Sparkly - a big congratulations to you, wishing you a healthy happy nine months,

kissinggiraffe · 16/01/2015 20:22

af arrived yesterday. .....I'm going to look for a Feb bus! lots of luck ladiesSmile

Stoatystoat · 16/01/2015 20:25

Congratulations sparkly!

Pulpi, I am the same as you, crampy and farty! They go on a bit and DH keeps laughing...I'm POAS in the morning. Got me a superdrug one but this is our first attempt so not expecting to be instant. I'm due on today I think.

MaMaPo · 16/01/2015 20:27

Oh, congratulations to becca and sparkly! What great news.

Ho hum. I hate the waiting game.

pulpi · 16/01/2015 20:29

This is our first attempt too, stoaty! I keep telling DH that the odds of us getting pregnant the first attempt aren't fantastic. He, however, is convinced I'm pregnant.

I bought a Clearblue up at the Coop... and simultaneously discovered the joy of living in a small town where you're on a first name basis with every cashier. No way to buy a test on the down-low in this small town.

Stoatystoat · 16/01/2015 20:30

Where are you in the wait mamapo

giraffe save a seat for me! I'll be on tomorrow and don't wanna be with the kids playing drum and bass on their iPhones

Stoatystoat · 16/01/2015 20:32

Haha pulpi. I felt like an underage school girl buying mine! There is something so illicit about buying folic acid and all this paraphernalia. Probably because it's between Me, DH and MN!

Sparkly123 · 16/01/2015 20:36

thanks Shoot* did you wait a week to take the CB digi then? Just wasn't sure when to test again?! Happy you got a good result on yours!!!

Purdey yes those stats may be true.. But you are Not the average woman are you?! You are so getting a BFP, you totally deserve it Flowers

Sammylou re ewcm.. I only ever saw wet (sorry tmi!) never saw the famous ewcm everyone talks about!have you tried using preseed or concieve plus?

ninja I well and truly hope that you get your BFP. AI obviously can work and I wish you sooo much luck!!!

Stoaty and Pulpi all crossed for you!!! These sounds promising signs!

PurdeyBirdie · 16/01/2015 20:36

Melon, I am going to use lots of conjecture and hunches here, but I would guess you ov'd around CD21 in your 35-day December cycle. I would really, then, expect your next cycle (January) to have brought ov forward to a slightly earlier day (ie CD19, which would align with your positive opk on CD18). I really wouldn't expect this month's ovulation to be later in the cycle than last month's. This would mean you are..what? 8dpo? This doesn't explain the later pos opk or today's nasty-sounding pains. I will go and hunt down my post-miscarriage charts and post them here so we can see what happened to my ov dates...

MelonMelon · 16/01/2015 20:39

Purdy you're a ?

Nomio230 · 16/01/2015 20:39

I am always the same. 37 years old & married, yet I still feel like a naughty teenager buying pregnancy tests!

Sparkly123 · 16/01/2015 20:45

Genni/Tessie/Purdey/ Ninja* and anyone else who was asking about AI and stats!

So.. I don't even know what to tell you stats wise?!? Ha.

We ONLY used AI no dtd Purdey
We were given all the equipment at fertility clinic- cathetar/syringe/pots etc. The first month of trying I don't even count as it was a shambles! But literally after a couple try's I got the hang of the actual process really quickly and it's so straightforward.
I have multiple -boring I won't bore you with-chronic health problems and also (embarrassing..) sometimes these cause issues with dtd so my doctors felt it was best to separate TTC by doing the AI. I was told at the clinic to expect a result within six months.. What they base that on I don't know.. Anyway so this is cycle 4, which I honestly can't stress how much of a surprise that is as my body really doesn't work very well at all! I spend really long periods of to me housebound and bed bound at times so we honestly thought there was no way my body would actually be ok for conceiving let alone so quickly. Anyway! That's the backstory!
AI really just replaces dtd so this month we followed the smep plan and "dtd" so to speak- CD 10, 12,13,14,15 missed 16 and then did 17. I'm usually a 27/28 day cycle and I think I prob OV at CD 15.

So there you have it I guess?! I was so so sure I was getting AF this past week, and I was so sure that we had "overdone" it by doing it every day but obviously not!!!!
Purdey AI ... It's the one!!

I don't want to leave this group...! Can I hang out here?!?! Sad

Mumwannabe82 · 16/01/2015 20:50

PurdeyBirdie · 16/01/2015 20:50

Okay, so..before my mmc I ov'd on CD15. The March 2012 chart is the cycle immediately following the ERPC (the chart dates are on the left at the top) and I honestly believe I didn't ovulate in March or April; the 'post-ov' temps are just too rocky and erratic (and the luteal phases a rubbish length). By May 2012 I am back to ov-ing on CD15 and my luteal phase is back to its usual 13-day length.

Melon, would you consider charting your temps?

Mum, AI = Artificial Insemination.

Sparkly, I am over-the-moon you have conceived when your health has been a concern. Bless you Thanks What a thrill! What does the catheter involve? Fiddling? Does it allow you to deposit sperm intra-uterine as opposed to at the entrance to the cervix? I need to know if I need a catheter!

Mumwannabe82 · 16/01/2015 20:55

Oh yeah haha

PurdeyBirdie · 16/01/2015 20:57

Sparkly, were they 10ml syringes? Did your hubby open you up with one of those clamp things so he could insert the catheter?

MelonMelon · 16/01/2015 20:58

I'd rather not temp just yet. I'm such a stress head I wish I'd never started using OPKs and just dtd and saw what happened! Ask me again in a few months though. .... I'm so desperate to be pregnant after my loss last year

MelonMelon · 16/01/2015 21:02

Sparkly you can stay if we can all rub your......erm.....for good luck!

PurdeyBirdie · 16/01/2015 21:04

Ah. I know how hard it is after a mc when you feel like your dream was snatched away. You just want to fall back asleep and continue the dream until you get your damn baby. Seriously, Melon, you have much on your side. Lots of women miscarry and go on to have a healthy baby fairly soon. You are so, so young bitch and have such juicy abundant eggs. Threads like these are a double-edged sword: you feel grateful for the hand-holding and having stuff in common with other women, but then the hourly daily updates become addictive and we begin to compare our fertility to other strangers' and before you know it, we have written ourselves off before we start. Keep a proper perspective (you are young; 1-in-4 women miscarry their first pregnancy; you were so fertile you got preggo accidentally; and this is only your second cycle since the mc) and don't compare your journey to anyone else's Thanks

Sparkly123 · 16/01/2015 21:05

Ok ooops I totally didn't give enough detail I just wasn't sure how much you all wanted to know. Ha

Ok so, Purdey 5ml needless syringe, cathetars were a huge book by manufacturer COOK medical. They are called insemi-Cath 3.5.. Husband didn't actually use a speculum thing nope!
I lay with pillow propping up my hips, and basically sucked up the sample from pot into the syringe (once liquified) sometimes we literally had less than 1ml of a sample! .. And then once in syringe attached cathetar to end and slipped it inside with help of preseed. It just goes into around the opening of cervix apparently..no further. But far enough! And that's it.. Husband pressed plunger down slowly, left cathetar in and legs up for about half hour/an hour.. Although a couple times last cycle it was more like 10/15 mins. So is more ICI than IUI which would have been the next step! But it works!!
