dojo123 · 16/01/2015 15:12

Don't know if I am starting to symptom check here, It's still really too soon after ov I know but...

Earlier in the week I add some twinges on my left hand side and now I'm having some more centrally, across my pelvic area.
Has anyone else experienced any similar symptoms when TTC? Thanks.

pulpi · 16/01/2015 15:13

Congrats sparkly!

spinningirl10 · 16/01/2015 15:20

Woohoo Sparkly, Congratulations GrinGrin stats please.

dojo123 · 16/01/2015 15:20

Linguaphile I made the decision at the beginning of Jan that I would give up alcohol while TTC, I told my friends that I am doing the January dryathalon so I have found it pretty easy and it stopped any awkward questions. I have also made the DH not drink on our DTD days to maximise our fertility chances.
Also I have chosen not to drink any caffeine either and have managed to stick to this so far. Though my colleague was talking about Tiramisu and espresso martinis the other day and now that is all I can think of! I'll just have to make virgin decaffeinated versions instead! Hmm

spinningirl10 · 16/01/2015 15:21

Oh Boosk, sorry af's turned upHmm Thanks

Boosk · 16/01/2015 15:28

Thanks spinning it's sort of a relief, at least now I have clobbered the cramps with some ibuprofen. I'd have been more upset if it were tomorrow as that would have meant my longest lp and I was worrying about having inconsistent lp length. At least this fits with previous cycle.

I find the wait far worse than the actual arrival. I'm quite good at picking myself up again and giving myself the 'one cycle closer' talk Smile

KnitFastDieWarm · 16/01/2015 15:28

Yay Sparkly!

I feel SO dizzy and kind of carsick today - is it unacceptable to put my head between my legs while at my desk in an open plan office? :P

ShootTheMoon · 16/01/2015 15:33

Congratulations sparkly Grin

I think you are the only surprised person on here Wink

My FRER was definitely fainter than that, but here I am a week later with a splendid CB dark line, amazing how fast it happens!

Sorry to those who have been caught out by AF. May the Feb bus be your bus!

tessiegirl · 16/01/2015 15:37

Ah! Found you! Got to mark my place as dying to know Sparklys results....!!!

tessiegirl · 16/01/2015 15:45

Oops!! I was still reading page 1...didn't realise there were two more pages!

Congrats Sparkly!!!

Nomio230 · 16/01/2015 15:46

linguaphile and stoat I have been doing the same as you guys. I don't like alcohol, so rarely drink that. Don't like tea, so the only caffeine I get is from the occasional latte. If I got a bfp, I would probably stop, but feel that ttc has taken over so much of my life already that I am reluctant to give up my coffee.

Plus, I know so many people who have accidentally gotten pregnant while smoking, drinking, guzzling caffeine all day, that it makes me wonder how much difference it actually makes!

tessiegirl · 16/01/2015 15:47

Sparkly can I please ask you to put details of your 'method' of how to AI at home?! I am very intrigued! Grin

PurdeyBirdie · 16/01/2015 15:49

Nomio, you are talking to someone who had up to four cans of energy drink all the way through pregnancy. I did lots and lots of research and decided the evidence that it causes miscarriage was inconclusive. However, I have now quit caffeine altogether since coming across several papers (one in the Journal of Human Reproduction) which proved beyond doubt that caffeine slows down (or disables) the muscles of the fallopian tubes which rhythmically contract to push the egg down to the waiting sperm. The eggs then get stuck and are reabsorbed into the body Sad I have no idea how much or how little caffeine is needed to paralyse these muscles.

gennibugs · 16/01/2015 15:55

Massive congratulations sparkly as others have said -stats please!

boosk sorry AF arrived. I feel the same, I'm ok one AF arrives, it's the days leading up to it that I hate.

PurdeyBirdie · 16/01/2015 15:55

Oh Sparkly, I am beyond thrilled for you! Well done, girl! May I ask, were all your sperm deposits this month administered by AI or were there the odd schlong successes? Sorry if that seems personal.
