I'm hoping for a bfp on the 28th January, it's our first month ttc and currently on honeymoon :-)

Nevlet · 14/01/2015 18:25

Congratulations mrscat! Lets hope we both get BFPs two weeks from now

Becca83 · 14/01/2015 18:45

Oooh, honeymoon! Congratulations ?? Where about are you?

I.don't know what's wrong with me tonight. I swear I getting some weird phantom symptoms. Been having low cramps all day and was just eating dinner (slimmimg world diet coke chicken!) & a wave of nausea just me and I had to stop eating. Been feeling kind of dizzy and shaky all day too. Think I'm coming down with something Sad. I'm only 10dpo, so probably too early for symptoms.

My best friend is due to test tomorrow and I am desperate for her to get her bfp! Would be amazing if we got them together x

squiish · 14/01/2015 18:50

Sadly boosk my local doesn't sell them! I was fuming when I saw the shelf with just CB and Tesco own Sad so I have another cheapy I could use 2mrw but afraid it will still be too ambiguous! Maybe I'll wait til Fri/sat.Hmm
melon I was also thinking maybe it was a bfp!

GlitteryLipgloss · 14/01/2015 18:55

Melon that's exactly what happened to me. Still got positive OPK's 10 days after proposed OV. That's why I'm not going to bother with them anymore.

Hairstylisttoboris · 14/01/2015 18:56

melon I feel your pain! I don't kniw whats going on. If it helps I had a positive opk and the vending if the month and then through the month I've had a couple of faint second lines never quite positive, so I get your confusion.
Couple of ideas, one is your body got ready to ovulate and didn't, and with the second strong reading got ready to ovulate again? This can happen.
Second did you just have a duff couple of sticks maybe?
You can't Ovulate twice in a month a week apart so it's not that.

Hairstylisttoboris · 14/01/2015 18:57

Vending = beginning

newbian · 14/01/2015 19:07

Gave in and tested - AF due today - and BFN on a Boots digital. That's what I get for thinking positively all month, have learned my lesson Sad

MelonMelon · 14/01/2015 19:08

Either way: more dtd on the cards! Todays were much more positive than last week so I really don't know. Waa a bit upset earlier, feel so broken still like my body can't get back to normal after the MC but it was 6 months ago!

Cariad2014 · 14/01/2015 19:16

Terrys - you've definitely inspired me to make an appointment with the GP. They were so useless with my ectopic (they just told me that the spotting I was experiencing might be a sign of a miscarriage) that I'd pretty much given up on them, but it sounds from your experience as though they might be better in this scenario.

mrscatmad31 · 14/01/2015 19:36

Thank you :-) in Jamaica, it's lovely here! Smile

mrscatmad31 · 14/01/2015 19:38

Fingers crossed for everyone else who's hoping for a bfp soon too :-)

Hairstylisttoboris · 14/01/2015 19:44

My name is Hair/Boris/conceptionzilla.
I'm addicted to peeing on a stick. Just peed on a pregnancy test. Which was negative. obviously.

Sorry

Rainy34 · 14/01/2015 20:19

Spinning - glad your Acupuncture went well, i am seriously considering that or reflexology, think il need to keep it on the quiet side as before christmas i mentioned to DH about reflexology and he tutted and roll his eyes and said what a load of b**cks so i don't think he thinks much of it,

going to see if i can get my place on the February Bus, will be back to check on you all xx

MissMrsMummy · 14/01/2015 20:39

Sorry for so many AFs and BFNs today :-(

All this talk of ectopics is making me worry... Do you still have AF if you have ectopic pg? I had AF last week but since then I have had diarrhoea and nausea and now I have sharp pains on my right side (woke me up in the night) but I had heavy AF so definitely though I was not pg. would ectopic show on a hpt?

MrsCrumbtious · 14/01/2015 20:43

Had a solid Smile on my cb test today, ready to jump on hubby as soon as he's finished work. Wish me luck ladies! Xx

Cariad, my love, nice to meet a fellow single fallopian-tuber. Did you know that ectopic pregnancies are largely caused by endometriosis in the fallopian tube? Endo is basically misplaced tissue, so tissue from the lining of the womb becomes transported elsewhere (tubes, colon, bladder, ovaries, behind ovaries) and then causes scarring. This is the usual damage surgeons see when they remove ectopics or diseased or blocked tubes. The good news is endo is very treatable and, once it's been scraped away with a deft flick of the scalpel, your lady machinery is as it would be if you had never had the bastard endo (except, of course, we lose a tube).

What I think would really benefit you, Cariad, is a lap & dye to see what the exact state of your other tube is and also the health of all your other reproductive organs (it's ace - they give you a colour photo of your insides before and after the op!) Do push your GP to send you to a specialist if it's something you feel you need. I loved having the lap & dye simply because I think power is knowledge, you know? I like to know exactly what the hand is that I have been dealt.

vizzy · 14/01/2015 20:53

Hello ladies, can i join too? I've been lurking about for a wee while watching. It's so lovely how you all spport each other! After a wee bit if advice please if that's ok? I'm 30 and been ttc for 12 months now with not even a sniff. Have just been booked in for tests to see if I'm actually releasing eggs or not-has anyone had these? How important is it to get the blood taken on exact the right day? Worrying I've worked it out all wrong!

FailureToLaunch · 14/01/2015 20:58

Laughing my head off at Boris. Can't believe you ov on CD6. Is this a world record? Shock

That acu lady is giving erroneous information I'm afraid regarding CD10 ov. Millions of women get preggo on that day. You only really have to worry if your luteal phase is consistently under eleven days or if your luteal phase temps are rockier than Rocky Balboa, as this indicates poor levels of progesterone (which is essential for maintaining a bfp and which is largely responsible for the majority of cp's and early miscarriages).

Melon, I can't explain those OPK results. Is AF a week away? Could you be preggo??

I am studiously ignoring the lady in Jamaica. It's Just Not Fair.

AFM, just got back from A Theory Of Evryfink and was bowled over by the acting and by disabled people and physics and wheelchairs and stars and tracheotomies and...well...I thoroughly enjoyed it. And cried and snotted a lot. I suspect the Clomid has overstimulated my ovaries this month as I've had to sit through the film this evening with rather excruciating paind around my ovaries and I thought I might pass out from the thunderous heat in my body. Oooo! I love a bit o' drama in me ladybits Smile

FailureToLaunch · 14/01/2015 21:06

Vizzy, hello Scottish lady! Sounds as though they want to test you for PCOS (polycystic ovarian syndrome) which is not at all scary and millions of women have it. Once it's under control and they give you drugs to force ovulation (Clomid etc) most women with PCOS fall preggo really quickly Smile It's essential thay take the blood exactly seven days after ovulation as that gives the best indicator of progesterone (which is the hormone that 'proves' ovulation took place). These tests are generally called 21-day progesterone tests but, of course, that is based on the assumption that everyone ovs on CD14. I highly recommend you take charge yourself by charting your temperatures - a sustained rise in temps after a positive OPK is evidence of ovulation.

MelonMelon · 14/01/2015 21:07

failure AF due in 7 days. Could be preggo, that's the ultimate aim! But worrying this cycle is hopeless now. Think I might test on Saturday and be a crazy poas addict with Boris

FailureToLaunch · 14/01/2015 21:07

I'll shut the eff up now.... Hmm

FailureToLaunch · 14/01/2015 21:09

I'm just struggling to understand why your body is producing luteinizing hormone a week before AF. Fascinating

FailureToLaunch · 14/01/2015 21:10

Ugh. I mean 'luteinising'. Effing yanks...

FailureToLaunch · 14/01/2015 21:10

I'm joking!
