Morning all.

No snow here but then I'm in London so wouldn't really expect any!

After my hopefulness of yesterday, today has brought cramps so I'm less hopeful. but still keeping my fingers crossed

FailureToLaunch · 14/01/2015 08:56

Cariad, I'm sorry to hear about your mc and cp. When I had a mmc at eleven weeks on 2012 my quest to get pregnant again was fierce - like a pathological force. I hope you (and others on here who have miscarried) find joy.

Sparkly, aren't you excited at the spotting? It's yonks yet until AF is due! Are you implanting? Thanks for answering my questions; it's totally understandable that you have expected and hoped for a BFP within six months. You have lots of time yet to conceive within the one-year-to-get-pregnant time scale dictated by stats. Hang on tight Thanks

I will try to encourage everyone here with any info I remember from my appointments with consultants and the IVF team. We TTC for 14 months after my mmc (nothing) and so went for IVF. Since our baby arrived we have been TTC for six months. So..I have almost two years of TTC under my belt, plus a lap & dye, plus two courses of Clomid, umpteen transvaginal (dildocam) scans and, of course, IVF. None of it will be relevant, though, because you will all get your babies soon Smile

spinningirl10 · 14/01/2015 09:02

Cariad, sorry to hear about the bfn. Hoping your sticky bfp is coming your way very soon.

Victoria, fx for the spots being a symptom. Ooh we're both in the South West.......I'm now glancing around costa coffee looking for a spotty lady on her phone Grin

Thanks for the Accupuncture input yesterday ladies. I did have reflexology last year but it was over an hour to travel and in the summer it took even longer so I'm hoping the Accupuncture will work out better for me. It's at midday so I'll report back laterGrin

Hairstylisttoboris · 14/01/2015 09:03

caridad sympathies it's a rough old journey we are on...

No snow in hampshire either...

Cd 16 possibly 10 DPO here, sitting on hands to stop myself testing OPKs or pregnancy tests.

MaMaPo · 14/01/2015 09:06

Bollocks to BFNs and AFs.

Just remembered that during sex last week I had a mad urge to tell my husband to put a condom on. How that's supposed to end up in pregnancy I have no idea. Poor, overworked brain.

It's 8.06pm, toddler's asleep and I'm alone in the house. Too early to go to bed?

squiish · 14/01/2015 09:09

Ladies i need some advice or a slap! Hpt may have tricked me...
Took the test this AM with fmu, its a cheapy Asda one and says read after at least 3 mins but ignore after 15mins... Does that mean 15 after the 3 or 15 after the test?! Does it even matter? After 3-4 mins I looked and it wasn't really clear, I could still see a bit of the red dye across the screen like a horizontal line. Left it for a good 10 mins (prob 15 after the test was done) looked again and it was a definite FAINT line.
Its still early, do I just sit on my hands for a few days and test again? Blush

Sorry for the ramble, as you could imagine all sorts going on in my head x

CountryGal4 · 14/01/2015 09:11

South west here too! Starting to symptom watch someone slap me! God this Ttc lark is all consuming

Cariad2014 · 14/01/2015 09:18

Thanks for your kind words ladies. I know it's still really early days for us (this was only cycle 2 post-ectopic), not that that makes me less impatient or less worried that it might never happen.

Failure - Sorry to hear about your mmc, and thanks for sharing your story. I hope you don't mind me asking, but did you get your IVF, clomid etc. on the NHS?

How soon after your mmc did you seek help? DH thinks we should go and talk to a GP asap to put a marker down, but I'm fearful that I'd be laughed out of the surgery and told to return if we've had no joy in a year's time.

Nervous83 · 14/01/2015 09:26

Fx for all you ladies in waiting. Two big fingers in the air for AF!

Squiish wish I could help, but I've not taken an hpt yet. Keeping my fx extra tight. If there was something there it sounds good?

MaMaPo so funny how our brain works...that did make me chuckle

FailureToLaunch · 14/01/2015 09:34

Cariad, after my ERPC we never got pregnant again, and so, after fourteen months of trying desperately I fled to my GP and broke down in tears. He sent me (at the age of 41, bless him) to see a consultant who was just fantastic. My age precluded any NHS help whatsoever, but he agreed to give me Clomid (to shut me up). After four rounds I began to panic due to no BFP so I cried a bit more and snotted all over the fabulous consultant and begged for a lap & dye. He found bits of endometriosis (which he successfully scraped away) and an irreparably damaged and blocked fallopian tube. It was a massive shock. Here I was, fast approaching 42 with a mmc behind me, a blocked tube and ancient eggs.

I looked into IVF abroad using donor eggs (I only had an eleven per cent chance of success using my own eggs, but a 62% success rate with donor egg). I cried and snotted all over my dad until he loaned us £5.5k and we flew to Czech Republic 4 months after my lap & dye. It worked first time! Unbelievable experience and I am beyond grateful we took the plunge and did it Smile

Remind me when your mc/cp happened and how old you are?

Hairstylisttoboris · 14/01/2015 09:35

squiish I think technically they say wait 48 hours and test again. I'd not be able to wait that long myself. I'd re test tomorrow with fmu. Good luck. Exciting.

spinningirl10 · 14/01/2015 09:40

Squish, I would pee on another testGrin

BananaRaces · 14/01/2015 09:52

Well I managed to hold off from POAS this morning (Yay for small victories). No sign of AF yet and she is due tomorrow. I'm not sure I'll be able to hold back from testing tomorrow morning though, I may be strong... but I'm not sure I'm that strong! Smile

(whispers) Do another test Squiish... Grin

TerrysNo3 · 14/01/2015 10:10

I'm still lurking ladies and keeping my fx for you. Cariad do not give up, it will happen. First thing to remind yourself is that you can get pregnant. I fell pregnant practically first time trying with my 4 pregnancies but after the ectopic it has taken 6 months. But it has happened! As for the doctors, mine said I could come after 6 months and they would talk to me, do a bit of investigation but they couldn't refer to a fertilility clinic until 12 months had gone. There is no harm talking to them sooner. And I know you've only had 2 months trying since the ectopic but they don't need to know you didn't TTC at christmas, so that's 3!

victoria401 · 14/01/2015 10:25

Wow failure that was a lot of Snot! Great that it all worked out in the end though :-)

We went to the doc after 15months ttc but you can have tests after 12 months or 6 months if older than 35. All the tests took about 9 months in total! 2xsa for dh, bloods, ultrasounds and hsg for me. NHS clinics often like you to have been ttc 2 or even 3 years before you can get treatment like ivf. Don't know about Clomid.

So month 25 here (not cycle) awaiting dh's 3rd sa results before hopefully commencing iui next week!
Hope no more of you have to go through all the crap we have, 2014 was a shite year for us. But like failure pointed out, the stats say 98% of couples will conceive naturally within 2/3 years. And 90+% in year 1 :-)

spamanderson · 14/01/2015 10:32

Eeek squish I would go get a frer!

GlitteryLipgloss · 14/01/2015 10:58

No snow in Essex. Quite bright this morning :) had the dentist and my gums were bleeding when she poked them with the evil little pick tool and X-ray. I have a referral to another to have my lower back wisdom tooth pulled out. It's broken. So that was a lovely start to the day.

Took a cheapy ebay test this morning - before dentist - which was BFN.

Still no period. Due tomorrow. good news is that I will OV at the end of Jan if the old bitch AF does come!

Spoke to DH in bed last night. I asked when he thinks we should investigate any potential problems - when is the cut of point - 1 year exactly? 10 months and then make appointment with GP. I think I will set a personal thought of 6 months, so another three cycles, then try some acupuncture or something else.

Maybe his sperms are just getting lost and stopping for a coffee or something. bastards.

Cor sorry for the essay. it's like my little diary here sometimes :) x

gennibugs · 14/01/2015 11:54

cariad hugs. you've had a rotten time. You will get your bfp, I know you will. Doesn't make the journey any easier though.

spinning good luck for acupuncture!

victoria not long to go now for you. have you collected your meds etc yet? keeping everything crossed for you.

glittery sorry for the bfn and ouch for the dentist.

As for me, cramps have disappeared now. Clearly my body is having a wtf moment. I. Just. Want. To. Know. Now!!! Either way. I cannot bear the limbo of the 2ww.

gennibugs · 14/01/2015 11:54

Oh and squish I would poas again! !!! Grin

FailureToLaunch · 14/01/2015 12:11

Hello, Victoria I'm sorry your journey has been tricky. How old are you? Was your HSG clear? What were th'ubby's spermz like?

Who got their BFP today? Squish? CONGRATULATIONS!! Thanks Envy

Glittery, I have a perverse penchant for tooth extractions. Yes, I know how weird that sounds...how old are you? Under 35? You'll be preggo in no time. Promise.

Sparkly123 · 14/01/2015 12:14

Hi everyone just going to read back now as think I have a couple pages to catch up on. Just to update- AF due Tomor and def coming. Had spotting past two days as per normal and feeling usual pre AF self and today by temp dropped right down to coverline so that confirms. I get another shot in January of dtd though around OV so should I stay here or nip over to Feb bus?? Gonna read back now and reply to you all! Grin

victoria401 · 14/01/2015 12:25

Hi failure I'm 34 35 in 2 months hsg was clear and I ov painfully every month. Dh's sperms are mostly deformed! Crap % of 'normal forms', only 2% 1st sa, 5% on 2nd after 5months of vits! 12 months of vits later dying to know if morph has improved again. But Dr says men with this % have got their partners preg so we are diagnosed 'unexplained', but I know better! WHO said 15%+ was good so how can 5% be?!

Focusfocus · 14/01/2015 12:31

Massive congratulations to all the proud BFP mum-to-be's!!!! How exciting :)

Well, this is my first ever TTC cycle (nervous!) been cycle mapping for contraception for 6 years now, so hoping the timing will be right.

Stats - 30 p, TTC cycle 1, got BMI down to 24 from 26, taking prenatal vits (both of us), 28 day cycles (sometimes 26)

We DTD on CD9 which was yesterday. Egg-white mucous has appeared today (usually happens if I ovulate day 12 instead of the usual day 14) so the plan is to DTD tonight (cd10) each day right up till the day after I feel the "twang" of ovulation which should be by Sunday I think. So basically DTD CD 9,10,11,12,13 (and then on but by this time will ovulate)

Drinking loads of water and might take an expectorant cough medicine to thin things up ;) dh been advised to drink his coffees and also drink water - he is more of the broody one by nature so obviously he is up (pun not intended) for all of this lark!

Good luck to everyone this month, may AF stay away for all hopefuls!

victoria401 · 14/01/2015 12:32

Sorry a lot of you are feeling af is imminent :-( but aren't the signs the same?! You're not out yet! (unless you're temping I guess)

spinning I chuckled out loud at your spotty lady in Costa comment! The west country is a big place my babberrrrr :-)

Sparkly123 · 14/01/2015 12:37

woodpigeon still hope for you fingers crossed! ninja really hope you get out of limbo soon!!! Fingers crossed!! Melon same to you, but promising signs! Fingers firmly crossed!

Cariad sorry for the bfn but hope you still have a chance this month, but if not - February! Super super lucky bus for you I know it! Flowers

Failuretolaunch wow. That's some road you have been on, I'm so so glad the IVF worked for you and wish you all the luck in the world this time around. I always get the pre AF spotting so never get excited about it as always appears same days with the same temps! And now today's temp drop had confirmed AF about to start...Angry onto the next bus!!! Thanks for all the info, you are a wealth of knowledge and positivity I know everyone on this bus will be rooting for you!!!

Boosk sorry to hear about the cm .. It's not over till it's over and all that!! We are cycle buddies so (hopefully I won't) I'll see you on feb bus as we get another shot end of jan too.

Victoria positive thoughts to you!! Good sign!! Hope so much for you that it happens pre treatment sending Flowers

Rainy looks like we are in the same boat.. Again! Or should I say, bus!! Will I see you on the feb bus? Sorry to hear AF arrived Flowers
