Hi all ... We had a thread for Jan BFPs but it seems full?! Thought I would start the second thread.. No idea if this will work as haven't done it before so here's hoping I see you all here!!

Rainy just saw your post. I'm glad your cycle has improved slightly at least.. That's a positive! I'm the same, a bit disheartened as I usually get some brown cm around this point so I'm hoping it doesn't come to anything.

sparkly I started on preseed and then had to buy conceive plus locally at short notice. Yes I find they are much the same. The only difference is the applicator - preseed has the reusable one whereas CPlus are in 'individual' tubes. I say 'individual' as there is far too much in a tube to use in one go! (bit wasteful)

I did get scared when I read about a user of preseed who had had early pg complications due to an infection and after investigating they realised it could only have been caused by the reusable applicator :-/ so personally I have continued to use C Plus which are disposable.

Hope that helps!

Hairstylisttoboris · 10/01/2015 13:02

I wanna POAS now. I don't want to wait a week.

It's not fair

spinningirl10 · 10/01/2015 13:05

Oh MissMrs thanks for the info ref infection after re-using the applicator with pre-seed. I always wash it out but have wondered whether it should be re-used. I've also used convince plus so maybe I'll switch back to those.

spinningirl10 · 10/01/2015 13:07

Sparkly, I don't fill the whole tube when using the applicator, you really don't need very muchWinkGrin

Boosk · 10/01/2015 13:22
MelonMelon · 10/01/2015 13:24

We use conceive plus and really like it! Don't tend to put it inside though just rub on, if we didn't use it there's no way I'd eb able to dtd this much! (sorry for tmi)

Rainy34 · 10/01/2015 13:33

Sparkly - i don't expect to get a bfp this month as when i was in my fertile time we had family staying and oh would not come near me and only dtd on my last high after two days of peak and i think it was the tail end of the high, just wanted the spotting to not appear, might up the b6 next month to see if it helps,

hopefully your symptom is implantation, x

tessiegirl · 10/01/2015 13:35

Down in the dumps here. DH and I rowed this morning - I am feeling so emotional/irrational lately. Everything he seems to do annoys me and he can't do/say anything right Sad

We used preseed this cycle and I threw each applicator away after use as I wasn't sure about reusing them and risking an infection.

Cariad2014 · 10/01/2015 13:35

Hair - I hear you! 8dpo at this end and absolutely desperate to POAS so that I know either way.

I was feeling ridiculously positive until this morning, but I'm now filled with doubt and wondering whether it's ever going to happen for us. I think what makes it worse is that despite ttc since May, because I've managed to get pregnant twice in that time, and this is only cycle 2 post ectopic I know that I'll probably have to ttc for at least another year before doing any fertility tests. I'm also absolutely petrified of another ectopic. I just feel so far away from pregnancy right now Sad

Sparkly - I'm slightly confused about the pre-seed chat. I order mine online from Amazon and it always comes with 12 (or is it 9?) separate applicators which always seem to be more than enough so I never need to re-use the applicators. If you do run out, I saw someone on here suggest disposable syringe type things which you get in Boots and other pharmacies for giving neurofen etc. orally.

Cariad2014 · 10/01/2015 13:37

Oooh Boosk - I'll come join you too. When are you planning to POAS? Am thinking of 12/13dpo (which would be Wednesday/ Thursday?)

victoria401 · 10/01/2015 13:51

hair! Lol!

WestCountryLondonGirl · 10/01/2015 14:22

Treacle, major congratulations on your BFP - it's been fantastic to see so many long term TTC-ers with great news over the past few weeks.

Everyone who's been having wonky cycles - do go and see your GP. I came off the pill in late July 2013 and my cycles were all over the place (between 30 and 46 days, followed by 146 days last Spring/early Summer!!). I went to the doctors during my ridiculously long cycle and blood tests found thyroid issues. I was given levothyroxine (and also started taking agnus castus) last July and finally started ovulating and having halfway normal cycles. I got my BFP in early December and am currently 9 weeks + 2! I'm so glad I caved into pressure from DH to go to the GP before the 1 year mark, as it took a while to sort out the blood tests etc. good luck everyone!

Treaclepie19 · 10/01/2015 14:48

Thanks west :)
Sorry you're feeling low Cariad, it must be really difficult but I was feeling how you are only a few days ago and counting down to may when it'd be 12 months ttc again. I had no clue this would be our month so you just never know. Sending hugs xxx

Boosk · 10/01/2015 15:29

cariad I'm only 6dpo today, af due Friday so I'm waiting till next Saturday. If I make it I'll be 13dpo, my longest lp since charting is 11days.

Boosk · 10/01/2015 15:30

Tessie sorry you are having a shit time. Thanks Thanks

tessiegirl · 10/01/2015 16:54

Thanks ladies - made up with DH but still feeling low. We are going to curl up on the sofa together with the cat and watch a film before dinner.

I'm so sorry, in my down mood I completely forgot to congratulate you Treacle Fab news!

Good tip about using the syringes from Boots for Preseed application Cariad

I'm due to test on Thursday 15th when I will be 14/15dpo if I can wait until then. FF estimates my test date is then anyway and I will be CD35 - my longest cycle yet since coming off pill. If I don't get BFP I am still considering coming off Pregnacare and seeing if ovulation comes forward off it at all. Also considered taking soy with the Pregnacare to see if ovulation comes forward whilst still on it as that way at least I would still be getting the extra vitamins if that works? Anyone tried this?! Or is it best to come off Pregnacare altogether and just take folic acid and soy?

BabyBumpHopeful · 10/01/2015 16:55

Still on the bus. DH is still good with trying (and my truck started once it got over 0F "actual temp" which helped!).

TTC#1, Cycle 1, CD12, BFP due Feb 7 (39 day cycle)

tootsroots · 10/01/2015 17:17

hi all, just popping up as on boring cd 11 and what do i see.. treacle congrats!!!! so happy for you!!

tessie i am sorry it being so tough with DH.
Fx cariad i know its worthless coming from me but unmumsnet hugs to distract from ectopic worry.
hair so funny. good tantrum.

westcountry i am so pleased you think going to the gP is good for wonky cycles...

I felt pathetic and caved and went to my gp on Fri .. TTC since Aug after stopping bc and only 3 af and no cycle trends just Long. But .. despite sw - can't lose weight, it is piling on. Exhausted to the point i am not going out..and missing work as i can barley function all day. and acne so bad my facial lady wouldn't treat me. Final straw was my hairdressers shock at how much of my hair has fallen out.

So LOVELY Gp has sent me for every blood test for pcos, thyroid, vit d and iron issues. Told me to stay active, sleep more, cut caffeine and lower carbs increase veg.. fx.

waves at all other bus ladies.

nicelyneurotic · 10/01/2015 17:46

Hi everyone

Sorry to those who are having a down day. Ttc is a roller coaster and it's hard to stay positive when nothing seems to be happening. I try to tell myself that this is what our bodies were designed to do and it will happen. Hang in there and let your body get on with it in its own time.

Toots roots - your problems definitely sound hormonal. May I suggest agnus castus? I didn't have a period for two years after coming off the pill, came back after three months on agnus castus. Skin improved dramatically too.

I am going to poas tomorrow. No symptoms but this afternoon have had slightly uncomfortable boobs which may mean something.

Boosk · 10/01/2015 17:47

Glad things are looking up Tessie enjoy your snuggles with dh and kitty.

Blimey babybump 0F that's freezing!!!!!

Oh toots sounds like you're going through mill a bit, glad to hear gp was so supportive, FX you get some answers and can be easily fixed.

Treaclepie19 · 10/01/2015 18:00

Oh Tessie don't be silly! Thank you :)
Sorry you're feeling low and glad you and DH have made up!
Thank you toots! :)

Mumwannabe82 · 10/01/2015 18:12

Hi Tessie, glad you made up with DH xx I have heard a lot about pregnacare extending cycles and I didn't want to confuse myself if that happened so I take seven seas trying for a baby vits which have the same amount of everything you need so you could try that XXX wishing you lots of luck xxx

spamanderson · 10/01/2015 18:18

To those who are using conceive plus, you can get it in spray form in boots. I bought it instead of the tubes as I figured there'd be less waste. Not sure of that helped us fall so quick or both but we'd never used it before and never conceived that quickly either.

letsdothisthing · 10/01/2015 19:24

Bonvy and Boosk - the ic OPKs are the way forward then!!

Lovely strong lines treacle!

We used conceive plus when we had dd, didn't use any when fell preg in Sept (that mc) may look into it if I'm around here a while :-)
