January BFP bus (thread 2)

Hi all ... We had a thread for Jan BFPs but it seems full?! Thought I would start the second thread.. No idea if this will work as haven't done it before so here's hoping I see you all here!!

Thanks ladies...nice that DH and I are talking again! I think I am just being such a complete moody cow lately. Must be very hard to live with me!

Thanks for your lovely messages Treacle and Toots. Had a long chat with a good friend over coffee this afternoon so now feeling a lot better.

Sorry to hear you've been feeling so unwell Toots. Here's hoping the tests mean they get to the bottom of what's been causing your symptoms. Sending big un-mumsnetty hugs your way.

tessie I was a nightmare to DH last month. The hormones, the stress, it was hideous. I was hideous. I think it happens when we put ourselves under this much pressure.

I've also really realised what the stress of DTD on demand is doing to our marriage and to DH. It must be so stressful. When I ovulate I biologically have hormones which increase my sex drive, he doesn't. He just has the pressure of performing regardless of how tired or stressed he is, or how much he doesn't want to. I didn't tell him when I was ovulating this month and that helped. I can't neccasarily reign in the crazy lady tho.

Sorry so many others on this bus are having a difficult time. So pleased and excited to see so many BFPs though, little rays of hope.

Hair and Tessie - your comments definitely resonate with me. This is my first proper 2ww since my ectopic in September (we tried in November but I was still feeling so rubbish physically that I pretty much knew it wasn't going to happen).

Truth is, I think I'd forgotten quite how horrendous the 2ww is - hence my panic this morning as I'm just not sure how many more 2wws I can put myself and DH through - it just feels like a never ending roller coaster at the moment.

Here's hoping we all get our BFPs soon and don't need to endure any more 2wws (at least until we want another child!)

Symptom spotting here at only 6dpo, slightly crampy, low down, a bit like pre-af. I need to get a grip!

Bring on Monday when I can get back to the distraction of work.

Haha! Symptom spotting here too even though we only dtd once in fertile week! My boobs feel very full, bra is tight. And I have awful bad guts tmi!

Oh and I also have spots on my jaw line...

We only did it twice. I've been having classic symptoms since 1 dpo. On 6dpo and my uterus feels 'warm' what the fuck is wrong with me.

victoria we only did it four times the whole month. Twice over fertile time!

I'm only 7dpo. Too early. Think I'm getting poorly actually, started feeling shivery too :-(

Af has reared her ugly head so I'm stepping off....and running for the feb bus soon..Congrats everyone on their bfps and good luck everyone still to test. May lurk a bit to see how many more of you get those wonderful bfps in Jan. Onto hoping for an oct baby for me

Oh no :( I've been really shivery too so hopefully that's a symptom rather than illness.

Morning ladies ff hasn't confirmed ov yet but my temp shot up properly this morning (yesterday it went up but in range of normal pre ov temps) so feeling more positive now that I ov this month so I'm 1 or 2dpo today and the tww has begun!!
Back at work tomorrow and it's a new place for me so hopefully lots of distractions xx

Well after me whinging about no positive OPK, my clear blue gave me a smiley yesterday eve (cd18) I know it's no different than an IC, but seeing a smily ovulation face does make me feel happy!

So... We DTD eve before +ve OPK, and also eve of +OPK. OPK negative again this morning. Would we be better DTD early afternoon rather than waiting for tonight, I assume fairly good chance ovulation will happen today and may miss it by waiting till this eve??

Well ladies I got my bfp last night 1-2 weeks, it's still early days but the shock floored me. We've been trying for a few months & therefore didn't believe my eyes I'm 11dpo & the only symptoms I had were: shivering the other night, couldn't get warm, then I suddenly went really hot, twinges on my right hand side, felt like a shot of electricity & then on Thursday night I had some spotting & had it again on Friday morning. My boobs are slightly bigger & slightly sore as well.
