AF arrived this morning, CD34. Probably won't be a +ive november for me either as DH is going away for 2 months sometime later this month, so he probably won't be here for my fertile window, but ya never know (in the army the dates for things change all the time, so gotta keep hoping). Will keep using my Persona this month just in case we can fit one or two BDs in at the right time.

Right, phew! Guests gone, DP at work, now I can concentrate!

Thanks for all the good wishes and vibes! And Saf1 - was just thinking about you today and wondering what had happened to your faint line! So happy for you! I was due on last Saturday, so am technically 5 (?) days overdue. I used the cheapy e-bay test strips (about £3 for 10 inc. postage - bargain!)

I think the difference this cycle (we had been trying since June) was that I felt more hormonal, like the contraceptive pill had really left my system. Just felt a bit more up and down and also really noticed sore (.)(.) around the time of ovulation.

We weren't frantically bding either, just a couple of times before OV - in fact, I was in London away from DP when I ov'd, so just goes to show that those swimmers can really hang on!

Didn't hold back on the booze. In fact, on the Saturday when I ov'd, I must have had about a bottle and a half of red

The other thing I did to aid conception was making sure I had an orgasm after DP ejaculated. Helps to open the cervix and suck the boys up. Luckily, DP is very obliging in that department, but, ahem, I wouldn't have been averse to a bit of DIY if he'd crashed out

Haven't worked out due date yet - but probably mid July ish? Am so chuffed because it means there will only be 3 school years between DD and the little one. And really wanted a summer baby too, because all my family's birthdays are between Nov-Feb! Obviously it is very early days yet though, so nothing is guaranteed.

Baby dust to everyone else waiting to test. No symptoms does not mean no BFP!!!!

Big hugs to everyone who has gone over to December. My advice is to eat, drink and enjoy the festive period! Will keep popping in to check up on you!

Bodkin- I used the e-bay test strips aswell and that was the faint line..but a line is a line

I think I'm due mid July also which is great as I'll be able to settle DD1 into big school and collect her myself.

Are there any threads for newbie pg mn's we can go on?

baby dust to all

Bodkin · 08/11/2006 14:40

Saf1 - I think we go over to ante-natal clubs. Just had a look but there is not a "due in July" thread yet. Shall I start one?

Bodkin · 08/11/2006 15:43

Doh - it is there already, just seen it. See you on there Saf.

sideways · 08/11/2006 16:23

Babymad - so sorry you are going through a tough family time. Your mu msounds like hard work. Try not to let it get to you too much (easier said than done). Hope your hospital appt went ok.

Bodkin and saf1 congratulations

Nixz - know what you mean about not wanting to go to the toilet - I usually hold off as long as posible so I don't discover the inevitable

Minshu - I lkie your image of the walking round the hole left in your life. I must remember that one.

Tutter - welcome

desperate2b - sorry you are having problems with dp. Hope you come and talk to us.

Hi to everyone else - it's taken me all day to catch up and I'm probably still miles out of date as I haven't caught up with the December thread yet!

Yay Kyte ! A line is a line as they say, and my first one was very faint. If you want to feel really sure, try again first thing in the morning when the hormone will be more concentrated in your wee and so should produce a stronger line (mine did). Let us know all the details when you feel a bit more confident!

Babymad2DS · 08/11/2006 17:56

Evening Ladies, got back about an hour ago,

Where do I start, I didn't have the scan or the H.S.G x-ray done, due to test that haven't been carried out by my doctor as routine. I'm now having them both done within the next 4-5 weeks. I was taken to hospital back in April due to a water/kidney infection but they also thought that I also had a pelvic infection too, tests were not carried out regarding this or even followed up, which my consultant is not happy about, so want me to have triple swobs done ASAP. My doctor didn't send me for Cycle day 2 blood tests and also didn't make sure I have an up to date smear test, which my consultant said that my doctor should of sent me for these before being referred to him! The thing that really really upset me is, He want to do a internal exam and this other thing ( where they put this thing in and have a look) but I was so worried about it all a felt sick and dizzy so the consultant said we'll do it at the next appointment on the 3rd of Jan, I've let myself down feel so silly, so upset about it! Also I have very low iron, but my weight is fine, was low but they check and now 8stone which he's happy about as my records show it to be low ( 7st 4) but now it's fine! Out come my consultant has said he suspects I have PCOS, which I really didn't want to here! (soz about the spelling) I feel I have really let myself down!

So got to go for a smear and triple swobs ASAP.
CD2 blood tests, plus other blood tests.
x-ray in the second week of my next cycle.
A internal scan which I'll get an appointment though the post in the next few weeks.
And then appointment with the consultant on the 3rd of Jan, (the test result for everything will be back by than he said!)
So going to be busy the next 2 cycles!

Thanks for your concerns! Hope everyone is fine and well.

Minshu · 08/11/2006 18:01

hi - just sneaking on to say bye-bye to nov thread while still at work, hence being v. quiet

so pleased for your BFPs Bodkin and Saf1 and Kyte and everyone else who has had one this month. wishing you happy and healthy pregnancies. and thanks for the advice, Bodkin.

babydust to everyone else - hope that you don't have to hop onto Santa's sleigh, too, but have enjoyed your company here.

ready4motherhood · 08/11/2006 18:28

Sooo much to catch up on!!!

Kyte - congratulations... keep us posted

Babymad2ds - Don't feel down, you've got a plan of action, that's good. Things are beginning to get sorted!!! Thinking of you.

Bodkin - PMSL at your comments, you really make me laugh congrats again and thank you for saying no symptoms doesn't mean no BFP... there's still hope for me!!

MrsMc - My fingers are crossed for you.

RachelRose - I'm right behind you, CD25!!

Best of luck everyone else!

xx

MrsMcJnr · 08/11/2006 18:29

Yipee, yipee Kyte - overjoyed for you! that's fabulous and you Saf1 and Bodkin can move on together (though coming back to visit lots remember!!) that's lovely.

Bodkin - I remember your fabby girly weekend , just shows you what a bit of fun can do for you mentally. Thanks for sharing with us. It was interesting what you said about feeling different, I felt really different last cycle and I mistook that for being pregnant but you maybe right, it might be the pill and its affects finally leaving me. Certainly, I have never had an AF quite like this one since I can remember . TMI alert but I am going through everything.

Congratulations on the postive OV tests ladies, now get busy .

Hey Firststar - I'm fine, thanks for asking! How bout you?

Bodkin · 08/11/2006 19:56

MrsMcJnr - sorry to hear you are having a nightmare AF, but see it as a positive thing. I remember you saying the reason you went on the pill in the first place was cos of dreadful AF, so it probably means things are getting back to business as usual.

Ready4 - glad to be of service How long is your cycle usually - when is AF due?

greedyguzzler · 08/11/2006 20:31

thing really move quickly on this thread dont they?!
congratulations to kyte, bodkin and saf1. what fantastic news!!! lots of BFPs all round! yippee!!!!!!! i am just celebrating the fact that i feel horny so i think i must be due to ov soon and dh is getting it tonight big style!!!!!

babymad2ds- all sounds very stressful and nasty, but maybe all the prodding and poking will help with a BFP soon after cos that is what happened to one of my friends. she fell pg straight after loads of internals and tests and things, so heres hoping!

Bodkin · 08/11/2006 21:33

Minshu - just noticed what you said about saying bye to November thread - did AF come? If so, really sorry to hear that. Sending you positive vibes for December xx

ready4motherhood · 08/11/2006 21:48

Bodkin, I'm CD25 today, so should know pretty soon one way or the other... I haven't had any pg symptoms... last cycle I had sore nipples, nausea and cramps!!! All in my head!!! Had a few cramps today, but they could be wind type cramps. Feel a little low today, cos I just can't feel positive about getting a BFP. I'm sure I'll get over it!!
