AF arrived this morning, CD34. Probably won't be a +ive november for me either as DH is going away for 2 months sometime later this month, so he probably won't be here for my fertile window, but ya never know (in the army the dates for things change all the time, so gotta keep hoping). Will keep using my Persona this month just in case we can fit one or two BDs in at the right time.

Gosh a Wonder Woman type then! I remember a woman I worked wih once was back in the day afer the birth and had her baby in a seat under her desk! She was furious that nurseries wouldn't take her until she was 6 weeks, poor little thing.

It's absolutely freezing up here (Scotland) so glad I am "working" (have not done a scrap today, not good, now will have to catch up all eve ) from home with the heating on rather than sitting in my freezing cold office! My goodies have just arrived from Tesco.com so have sweets for any kids who pitch up tonight and Christmas food (to hide away!) galore

Good morning ladies. Hope you didn't get too bothered with trick or treaters! I think its great fun for little ones who are being taken around my a responsible adult, but teenagers I am against and do not open the door after 8pm as no doubt it wont be kiddies. Grrrr!

Well its CD31 for me today. Did another preg test this morning and it was a "NOT PREGNANT" in the most boldest of writing. So just waiting still for mrs af to arrive. I have had enough of the horrid waiting game. I just know that af will arrive after getting the bfp on sunday followed by a bfn everyday since.

How is everyone else doing today?

xx

RachelRose · 01/11/2006 08:31

Endless, am so sorry the waiting is still going on for you. Its been a real roller coaster for you in the last week hasn't it. Hopefully you'll get confirmation one way or the other soon and can move on.

We didn't get any trick or treaters last night. We are like you Kyte - we are in a cul-de-sac (where the average age is about 75) and no-one ever comes down - except an annoying 17 yr old who drives his new motorbike up and down the street I mean, wouldn't you want to go somewhere else? Anyway, thats by the by - no trick or treaters so we had to eat the chocolate ourselves

CD20 today and not much going on really except lots of BD - DH seems to be very keen this past week

Morning all - no trick or treaters for us as we live behind a shop in a secret house that no-one knows exists tee hee.

Endless, just wanted to echo what others have said, and offer sympathy. Hope the waiting is over soon and the result is the one you want!

Still having light spotting and more definite AF type cramps, so she's still on her way. Bet she'll come on Thursday when I work away from home and there is only a horrible cold, dark outside loo full of spiders.... nice.

MrsMcJnr · 01/11/2006 09:49

Really feel for you Endless especially after your hopes were raised on Sunday . I am feeling pretty low today too, after being so upbeat and excited yesterday, my temp dropped by .4c today and I feel like I'm in a pit. When I saw the temp I just wanted to roll over and stay in bed all day and lock the world out. The little voice in my head that normally cautions me when I get excited is telling the louder voice that this does not mean the game's up (and I have been on the cycle gallery on Ovusoft to see just how many people get a dip 9dpo and then get a BFP - so so sad of me!) but I don't feel very hopeful. Nothing else has changed but I just keep having to fight back the tears this morning.

I hope the rest of you are having a much better day. I had a few sets of trick or treaters - really cute but the jokes were rubbish!!

RachelRose · 01/11/2006 10:37

Sorry you are low MrsMcJ - I dont know enough about temps I'm afraid to comment. I think you are at the worst bit of cycle in that you are analysing everything that happens to see if it means something. Very tough... Is your AF due on Friday?

Keep positive though and I hope you feel better as the day goes on.

Bodkin - What is it you do where you may work with an outside loo?

ready4motherhood · 01/11/2006 10:39

((((hugs)))) to MrsMc and Endless. Hang in there ladies... It ain't over til Auntie Flo sings! Anything is possible, the fact that there are charts that show a dip and a BFP means that could be the same for you!! And the fact that people have got BFNs and go on to get a BFP means that it could happen for you... Whatever happens, know that there are people out there that really want to help you and will always listen!!!! Fingers crossed and baby dust!!

The 2ww is a nightmare... but since we have to do it, it's great that we can do it together!!

RachelRose · 01/11/2006 10:39

Ooops, just read that back - I didn't mean to suggest that you worked in an outside loo - I meant that you work in a place with an outside loo

FemaleoftheSpecies · 01/11/2006 10:48

so sorry endless. its a bugger isn't it.

RachelRose · 01/11/2006 10:50

Can I ask a quick CM question - I've got EWCM again (more than yesterday) but I dont notice it every time I go to the loo, only sometimes. Is this OK? Or are you meant to see it every time you look down there? Sorry if this is really basic - but I can't remember what the books say.

MrsMcJnr · 01/11/2006 10:58

Thanks ladies - had some very odd dreams last night!! Still reeling from them a bit, maybe another reason why I feel off.

RachelRose - think it is on and off due to the consistency but I don't get much (if any) so maybe that's just me.

rubles · 01/11/2006 11:04

MrsMc, (((hugs))) to you. Been there, done that. Carrying on temping from ov up until AF turns me into a jibbering wreck. I have also scoured the fertility friend charts in my time & found plenty with dips before BFPs.
However, I find it's all very well knowing exactly what your body is doing, but I now prefer to live in ignorance right up until AF's arrival (well, this month anyway). I asked dp to hide the thermometer on 3dpo so that I would never be tempted to temp until AF. I think I would advise that for most people, as it makes the last few days sooo much less stressful.
It is not conclusive, as you have proved by looking at the charts, so the best thing you can do for yourself now is to try to hold on to the hope that it could be an implantation dip.
Hang in there girl - we're all here for you.

Had minor discussion with dp yesterday and he said he keeps meaning to give up smoking and he knows he should cut back on drinking. He makes all the right noises, but then it doesn't pan out into actions. The agreement we came to was that for the coming month he would try to only drink at weekends and then look at cutting back the smoking next month. However, I noticed a bottle of wine on the go last night, and when I mentioned it he said he was starting the cutting back tonight.....so watch this space....I feel this is going to rumble on for quite a while.

I rang to make my HSG appointment today. You are meant to do it after AF but ideally before ovulation so there is no possibility of being pg, so I am provisionally booked for next Monday.

Bodkin - are you sure you are having AF? Is it normal for you to spot for so long?

rubles · 01/11/2006 11:08

Rachelrose, you definitely won't notice it all the time. If you just notice one instance of fertile CM in a day then that counts. As MrsMc said, it probably is partly due to its consistency and exertion (e.g. from exercise or going for a poo) will bring it all down.

MrsMcJnr · 01/11/2006 11:21

Thanks Rubles. I know that nothing I can do can change the outcome either way and that to get upset now is utterly pointless but my emotions are running high and won't listen to my head.

I really feel for you about your DP. I know that in the past my DH has wanted us to cut out mid week drinking and when it was his decision and not mine, I found it really hard to stick to and probably drank more in a kind of rebellion. My DH drinks a lot at the weekends (and gets in a right mess) and I personally think that is worse than having a few every night. If we don't get a BFP soon, I will need to tackle him about his drinking as it must be affecting with quality of his "produce".

Glad you got your appoinment.

RachelRose · 01/11/2006 11:34

Thanks ladies - I'll class this as a fertile time then - I hope . DH was up for BD this morning but I wasn't, so I'll have to make up for that tonight.

Rubles - I think the idea of not temping in the lead up to AF is good. I know for some people it may be good for them to know AF is coming, but for others I reckon it just adds to the stress.

If only people could get pregnant by will power alone!

rubles · 01/11/2006 12:12

Oh yes that would be good, RachelRose, but then we'd all be pregnant with triplets though.

cityangel · 01/11/2006 12:20

Hello everyone, good luck with your quests.
My quest is OV testing every day starting yesterday. It was only CD5 so too early as I have 30 -32 day cycles, but I want to cover all the bases for my test month. Thank you for all your advice on test timing it really helped.
Mrs MC I will be thinking of you on Sat while I run around trying to keep my Mum's 40 friends happy.
I too wish will power alone helped. I am feeling incredibly impatient about it all today and coming on here to chat really helps
I also have to find a way to get into Boots unnoticed to by the tests, but fortunately don't know any women on the office floor to avoid in the loo!

Cityangel - I may be wrong and am happy to be challengd but I think CD8 is the very earliest you can OV so hon, you are going to have a really expnsive month if you start now, especially if you normally have long cycles. Don't want to curb your enthusiasm but the Boots ones are really expensive and you might be better off buying in bulk off e-bay or off the Access Diagnostics website. Thank you for your good vibes, much appeciated abd bucket loads of babydust to you.

Think I might be making some progress on the work front, I have been asked to consider a position elsewhere early days but could be just what I need.

ready4motherhood · 01/11/2006 12:46

Great news MrsMcJnr - hope it all works out for you. Anything that takes your mind off of TTC has got to be a good thing!! I have just started a creative writing course to do just that!!
