OP posts:
MrsMcJnr · 23/11/2006 14:35

Charts are looking good!

Fingers crossed for those BFPs Stretchmarks, Babymad and 3catstoo (I wonder what tomorrow will bring for you, how do you feel?) Babydust.

3catstoo · 23/11/2006 18:24

Well another day of spotting and another BFN (with the new early test that arrived this morning). I certain AF will arrive in the night.

On a more positive note, I hadn't realised that the software has changed Ov in December to 2 days before DH goes away, so hopefully we will be in with a chance next month. Maybe with DH going away for a week we will be more active in that week before .

I have everything crossed for a positive weekend now the 2ww is almost over for others too.

Hope today went well MrsMc.

Hope you feel better Babymad.

Babymad2DS · 24/11/2006 07:20

Morning Ladies CD23 today and 9dpo, temp went to an all time high this morning and creamy CM, I'm trying hard not to get my hope's up this cycle, as last cycle I had all the signs and was devastated when AF came!

Got to go and get my boys ready for school Back later!

stretchmarks · 24/11/2006 08:59

Morning everyone,

Well it's taken me a few days to believe it but I have got my BFP ++++++++++++ I am just hoping that this little one sticks. I am now stocking up on reasons why I am not drinking over the festive period. I am now going to count down the days until I have an early scan to check that everything is going on as it should. I will still be around on this thread I'm not brave enough to start the due in August thread yet. Wishing you all lots and lots of babydust you all deserve your BFP's so I have my fingers crossed that you will be joining me soon.

Babymad2DS · 24/11/2006 09:19

Congratulation our first BFP! Wow well done chick!

MrsPolly · 24/11/2006 09:49

Congratulations Stretchmarks!!! Amazing news!!! Here's wishing you a healthy and very happy pregnancy xxx
I think we will all want details - did you feel that anything was different this time before you tested?

3catstoo · 24/11/2006 09:52

Oh what fantastic news Stretchmarks

Many many congratulations.

Hooray we have a BFP in the run upto christmas.

Well done!

Wishing you all the very best for a happy and healthy pregnancy.

3catstoo · 24/11/2006 09:54

Fingers crossed Babymad. Temps are looking are good.

Ready · 24/11/2006 09:54

Congratulations Stretchmarks!!! I am off to look at your chart hope you don't mind!!??

MrsMcJnr · 24/11/2006 10:16

Oh Stretchmarks!!! SO delighted for you!!! your chart looked fabby too!! Hope it's a very, very sticky one. When do you think you are due and when will you get a scan? If I get my BFP this cycle, my precious baby girl (such a strong, strong feeling my first baby will be a girl!) will be due on 13 August! Let us know how you did it? don't hold back!

Well, this is our 2nd BFP on this thread. Piz was the first one and we did have a guest appearance from RachelRose/Chooster who got her BFP too but I don't know if we can claim that one as our own on this thread.

Here are some stats for you all:

We started this thread on 3/10/06. Founder members were (& current status):

Coggy - Taking a break from MN
Natty - Taking a break from MN
MrsMcJnr - Still in the game. Piz - Graduated on 12/10 with a BFP
Babymad - Still in the game.
3catstoo - Still in the game.
Stretchmarks - Graduated on 24/12 with a BFP.

Subsequent members:

BBWBabeLisa - 28/10 - still in the game.
Ladybump - 30/10 - still in the game.
Retromum - 11/11 - still in the game.

With expert advice from Trace2 and guest appearances from 1n2s, Ready, RachelRose/Chooster and Cityangel and MrsPolly.

So, as the subsequent members joined later, I think we can fairly state that we have 2 BFP out of 7 - which really isn't bad over less than 2 cycles is it! Maybe there is something to temping! Keep it up ladies!

MrsMcJnr · 24/11/2006 10:26

Just been chart spotting. How I loved seeing that little chick on your chart Stretchmarks! I noticed that you BD for the 3 days before OV so I wonder which day was the lucky one! Like me, you OVd earlier this cycle too, I'm going to take that as a good omen for me!

3catstoo - I'm still holding out for you, you are normally like clockwork and the spotting has stopped etc. Everything crossed, keep testing!

Babymad - LOVING that temp hike today!!!!!!!!!

BBW - looking good, moved into the fertile stage, all great prep for that Boxing Day tussle in Glasgow

stretchmarks · 24/11/2006 10:38

Thank you all for your congratulations I am so glad that I can share it all with you. I don't plan on telling friends in RL for a while. I'm afraid there was no magic method used, it was more by luck than judgement that we BD'd when we did as I was expecting to OV later. I have felt more relaxed about it all this month as well so maybe that helped. I still can't quite beleive it. I am sat at my desk today with 3 + pregnancy tests next to me just to remind myself

I'm going to book a scan to reassure myself, but not decided yet when to do it for want to try and wait until they have a good chance of picking up a hearbeat but might try and go just before DH's Nan flys back to France so that we can tell her (she flys back on the 17th Dec). We would love a little girl as we had chosen the name Lily for girl after DH's nan and I am due approx 4th Aug which is just b4 MIL and Nans bday so I am hoping this one is meant to be. Sorry I am rambling on today but I am full of nervous energy !!!!

MrsMcJnr · 24/11/2006 10:50

It's so lovely stretchmarks! You can get the heartbeat at 7 or 8 weeks can't you? Getting way ahead of myself but hoping that if I am lucky enough to get BFP this cycle, I can get an early scan before Christmas so that I can tell my family! Lily's a lovely name. The whole thing sounds like a marvellous twist of fate to me

3catstoo · 24/11/2006 12:33

Hi MrsMc, How is DH today?

So if you Ov'd early this cycle when are you anticipating being able to test?

How about you Babymad, when will you be testing?

Somehow having a BFP on the thread gives positive vibes.

No sign of actuall AF yet but have had some pink CM since filling in my chart.
Had a hot bath last night to hurry it along, that usually works.
Maybe taking DD2 swimming later will do the trick. I'm still certain she will come and already thinking of our attempts next cycle.
Whether it's this cycle or next, strangely it will still be an August due date.

Maybe we can all go on the August thread together (she says wishful thinking).

3catstoo · 24/11/2006 12:34

How do you get a scan that early?

3catstoo · 24/11/2006 13:26

AF has just arrived.

Never in my life have I had such a regular cycle!
I think charting may have frightened my cycle into shape, he he he.

But if it's so regular surely that must mean it's easier to catch the right day.
I thought we had made a good effort this month, bding in the 3 days upto Ov.

Well the software is telling me that if I get pg in this cycle (cycle 4 of temping) my due date would be 1/9/07. It did say 31st Aug last time I looked (can't help plotting ahead - I'm obsessed).

Maybe my cold interferred with things. I seem to be full of cold alot lately. Can that mess things up and stop things happening?

Off to search the house for you know what now to go swimming safely!!!
I hate it when I'm not prepared for swimming with AF.

Natty1806 · 24/11/2006 13:32

Congrats Stretch

Must admit me and coggy still lurk on here but only skim read.

Take care and hope it is a sticky one. x

MrsMcJnr · 24/11/2006 13:54

Sorry to hear that 3catstoo it doesn't seem to matter that we BD on the right days, there must be an additional bit to the recipe that we don't know about and can't influence! Best of luck for this cycle.

DH is walking with assistance today. His blood presure and oxygen levels are a bit low but the the pain is not too bad and he seems ok emotionally, thanks for asking Hope to have him home tomorrow or Sunday

I am planning to test on 4/12 - that gives AF plenty of time to pitch up as that will be 14dpo. Last cycle was the only one I went past 11dpo (to 12) and that is when the software is predicting AF for me, 12dpo.

MrsMcJnr · 24/11/2006 13:56

Hello Natty .

Sorry 3catstoo - meant to say, you can pay for a private early scan up here from 7 or 8 weeks I think (Scotland) is somewhere between £100 - £150. I will do it if I get a BFP this cycle as would desperatley like to tell my family face to face and they are abroad but I am going over there for NY.

stretchmarks · 24/11/2006 13:58

3cats sorry about AF - fingers crossed for you for next cycle keep up the bding at the right time and one of the little swimmers will make it.

I will pay for an early scan or may ask the doctor for a referral to EPU.

Natty - good to hear from you hope you are well.

Babymad2DS · 24/11/2006 15:51

Stretchmarks what brand of PG test did you use? because i notice you were 11dpo, i am 9dpo and thinking about testing over the weekend if temp stays high!

LOL just posted this on the other spotters tread! Going mad today!

Babymad2DS · 24/11/2006 15:52

3catstoo So sorry about AF! ((((((((((((big hug)))))))))))

Babymad2DS · 24/11/2006 15:58

Coggy and Natty thinking of you always! I'm always checking the charts too!

Babymad2DS · 24/11/2006 15:59

MrsMcJur how are you today and MrMc?

3catstoo · 24/11/2006 16:09

Nice to see you still lurk Natty .

I paid for a scan last time but it was the nuchal scan at 11 weeks. It cost £140 in London, for the scan and the blood tests. They would only do it between 11 and 13 weeks though.
Previous 2 I had early scans at 6 weeks as I bled, as I had done with MC. 3rd time they didn't bother scanning at 6 weeks when I bled as it seems to be the way I go in every pg not just mc.

Hope you get a scan before xmas, that would be good.

Are you going to test earlier then Babymad?
I got the Clear Blue 4 days early test online.
Not sure how good it is at detecting pg early but sounded better than the rest as they all still say day of AF.
Let us know if you do and fingers crossed for you.

Have a fab weekend All.
