MrsMcJnr · 21/11/2006 12:18

Hey Ready. For the first few cycles, adjust your temps down by .5 or up by .5 for each 1/2 hr early or late. You might find that your body doesn't vary that much (mine doesn't) but it'll help you for the first few cycles.

So yes, I'd adjust CD10 down to 36.1 and CD20 up to 36.6. I only use the first decimal place too as that is what the software does, don't round up or down, just take the first decimal place. If we do this, your coverline is probably 36.25 (for some reason, 2 decimals are allowed for that!). That means that you most likely OVd on CD15 which ties in nicely with your CM. That means that you are 13dpo today. Shame about dip today but we'll see what happens tomorrow. When do you think AF is due?

Hope that helps. Happy to be contradicted if anyone thinks I am wrong

Ready · 21/11/2006 12:26

Sorry, I don't think I was clear. I only posted last cycles temps, AF arrived on CD28 last month, so I presumed that meant my cycle was 27days.

I am on now CD11 of my Nov/Dec Cycle... and today my temp did dip, so I was thinking "how does MrsMc know that"

Should I post this months so far for you to see?? I should be coming up to OV in the next couple of days.

Sorry I wasn't more clear.

Babymad2DS · 21/11/2006 12:30

Hello ready, Your temp went high and stay high after CD15 so I would personally say that you OVed on CD15. Do you monitor your CM and/or CP? Do you test using saliva microscope and/or wee on OV-test's? Hope this help's!

Ready · 21/11/2006 12:31

Cycle 3 (Nov/Dec) so far

CD1: 36.15
CD2: 36.22
CD3: 36.22 (disturbed night, less than 3 hours sleep in a row - does this matter?)
CD4: 36.04
CD5: 36.10
CD6: 36.12 (last day of AF)
CD7: 36.10
CD8: 35.99
CD9: 36.05
CD10: 36.15 (altered temp) (CM)
CD11: 35.98 TODAY!! (CM)

Ready · 21/11/2006 12:35

Thanks ladies. I just keep an eye on my CM. I am quite lucky (??) that I have plenty! I don't wee on sticks or spit on anything YET! And I wouldn't even know how to check my CP!!

I wanted to temp so that if I had to visit my GP in a year I would have charts to show her. But I can be a tad of a control freak so I thought if I get software and start having other apparatus to think about I would stop ovulating!!!! But if it takes a long time with no BFP I might have to get something more scientific than a thermometer.

Babymad2DS · 21/11/2006 12:58

Months back, I went to my Doctor and I handed him my chart he just asked what is this, He really didn't know what to make of them and wondered why the hell I was doing "charts" . My friends had I similar thing when she went to her Doctor. I think the only people that really care about charts (besides us) are the people at a fertility clinic, because all the Doctors say to you is to BD every other day. . When I went to see my consultant 2 weeks ago he never even mentioned, CM,CP,Temp,Charts, fertility monitors,or even Ovulation devisees! I wish that they could be more forth coming with this area!

3catstoo · 21/11/2006 13:41

Hi all,

MrsMc - looks like you ov'd yesterday.
Good news that you have that extra day just in case. Good luck to your DH on Thusday with his op.

Stetchmarks, you Ov'd on the same day as me this cycle. So both 9 DPO. Lets hope we both have a happy weekend .

Am full of cold again . I was fine for a few days and then it came back yesterday. It could be a reason for those high temps I guess.
I have had some cramping and thrush, which I usually get in the week before AF. Even though we did lots of BDing in the run upto Ov we didn't manage the day of Ov. Not sure if it's worked this cycle.

I have that niggling urge to test but it's too early (by 3 days) plus if it's -ve I'll have no more tests left and as it's early I still won't know for sure.
I'm such an impatient wotsit!

Babymad I was unable to see your chart so not sure what stage you are at. How long before you might test?

Babymad2DS · 21/11/2006 14:23

3catstoo i hope you feel better soon!

my chart

Babymad2DS · 21/11/2006 14:26

CD20 today 6dpo, I will be due my AF 28-30 nov so 7-9 days yet, I'll be testing next week! Fingers crossed!

MrsMcJnr · 21/11/2006 15:33

Ready, sorry, bit thick aren't I! Post this cycle's so far but yes, it sounds like you'll OV in next few days, OV can vary and you don't really know when it will happen until it does so if you are not already, I'd suggest BDing every other day at least from now. Good luck!

3catstoo - sorry you are feeling crap. Everything crossed for you, Stretchmarks and Babymad for the testing time coming up!

MrsMcJnr · 21/11/2006 15:34

Ready - think your coverline will be 36.15 this cycle so far so when the temps go over that, that will be a good sign that OVs happened.

3catstoo · 21/11/2006 16:59

Being as impatient as I am, I couldn't resist . Of course it was BFN!
Heard someone elses good news today so it made me want to test - silly I know.

Now I have to wait as I'm not paying for anymore tests.

Your chart looks good Babymad.

3catstoo · 21/11/2006 17:37

I've just ordered some more tests on access diagnostics - not that I think I'll be needing them this month.

I ordered the new Clearblue 4 day early ones, they are meant to work 4 days before your AF is due.
It's worth a try.

Next month is out for me as DH is away for the week of predicted Ov. So it looks like it will be all systems go in the new year.

Ready · 21/11/2006 18:05

Thanks MrsMc & Babymad. I don't mind BDing every other day for the next week

Also, I don't mind not knowing I am about to OV, just finding out afterwards that I probably have is enough. I was worried that I hadn't last month as I was concerned there wasn't enough of a spike in my temps. But it did stay elevated over 36.3 until AF so I presumed that was a good sign?

Babymad2DS · 22/11/2006 10:04

Morning Ladies.
CD21 Today and also 7dpo temp still high, AF due next week so now only got one week left of the 2WW. A bit cheesed off due to my acne treatment from the doctor really did work a treat, and it's my first week with no spots what so ever and my treatment has ran out and you got get it anywhere as they've ran out too and the manufacture isn't making anymore till next year sometime in Fab because they haven't got the ingredients to make it till Fab, so got this other stuff and I really don't like it had it before and it didn't work, woke up this morning and have 3 horrid spot's! , I'll give it a go see how I get on with it! Feeling so tired at the moment, headachey and eating alot!

MrsMcJur chart looking good!

3catstoo and stretchmarks when is AF due?

MrsMcJnr · 22/11/2006 10:48

Morning ladies, temp even higher this morning (36.4, coverline, 36.05) but software is being proud and refusing to believe I OVd on Monday (CD15) when it has predicted OV on CD18 (tomorrow). Doesn't matter that much from a BD perspective as have BDd CD11, 13 (am & pm), 15 & 17 so hopefully we have all bases covered. I have been really disappointed with my saliva scope, it hasn't shown much ferning at all.

3catstoo - don't be disheartened, on 9dpo less than 35% get their BFP. Your cycles are like clockwork so if you get to Friday and there's no sign of AF, things will be looking fabulous, are you tempted to hold out and test with Stretchmarks on Monday?! and In2s & Honeyapple on Nov thread! Like you, if this is not the cycle for me, I might have to sit the next one out due to DH recuperating, means guilt free booze over Xmas though!!

Ready - happy BDing! As long as you know when your fertile days are and start BDing in time before OV, you'll be fine. It'll only take you a few cycles to work out when you are likely to OV. Your temps looked fine last cycle, I am sure you did OV on CD15 as all your temps after that were over your coverline.

Babymad - sounding good, sorry to hear about your skin. If I have Ovd already then we'll be due AF/testing around the same time. If I bank on an 11 day LP and no AF, I'll be testing on 2/12. Testing buddies!!! .

Stretchmarks - looking good!! Testing Monday with 1n2s and Honeyapple? (and 3catstoo if we can persuade her!!) Everything crossed for you!

BBW - things looking fine

MrsPolly · 22/11/2006 11:28

Hello I wondered if I could ask you expert ladies (especially MrsMcJr!) for some advice? This is just my 2nd cycle temping (and not used software yet) but i noticed last month that my temp doesn't begin to drop until day 2 of AF. Also the rise after ov seems to be delayed by a day or 2 (it hovers just below the coverline before going up. Could it just be that I'm a bit 'slow' to react. I am sure I ov'd on Mon (pain, ewcm and +ve ov stick) but no temp rise still this am. Just wondered if anyone else saw delayed reactions in temps..? thank you all i have been lurking on these threads so long i feel i know you but i appreciate i've not really posted before
xxx

Ready · 22/11/2006 11:38

Welcome MrsPolly. Good luck.

The pressure we put on MrsMcJnr!! If I gave her a pound for every question I asked her, well let's just say GreedyGuzzler would call her MrsMcWealthy! I am sure she loves it though!!

MrsPolly · 22/11/2006 12:19

Thanks Ready! (and sorry for the pressure MrsMcJr )

Ready · 22/11/2006 12:51

Sorry MrsPolly... don't let me make you feel bad about asking MrsMcResidentExpert questions Honestly, if anyone minded being asked, it's not MrsMc - the gal's an absolute star!

MrsMcJnr · 22/11/2006 15:40

Hello MrsPolly and welcome! I am happy to try and help, far from an expert though all I know is what I have learnt on here and other sites and from various books over the last 6 months but I am more than happy to share any info I do have .

Both temp patterns are fine. It is quite normal for temps to stay high into AF. Mine typically sink and then rise again when the old hag or her spotty friend arrive. Also, it can often take a few days for temps to rise after OV. Perfectly ok. Sounds like you did OV on Monday so your temps by the end of the week will probaby reflect that (and lucky you getting +opks I did for the first few cycles and then nothing! )

Come and chat anytime and if you fancy looking at our charts they are on

this threadhere (hope that works - not good at links!)

Hello Ready - very flattered by your nice words, no pressure, I like helping (as long as I get it right )

3catstoo · 22/11/2006 16:53

Hi Ladies

How are you all today?

I'm not feeling very optomistic as I've had a bit of spotting today. It started on 9 DPO last cycle, today is 10 DPO. Very spotty neck and jaw and thrush too.

After finding out about a friends recent pg when she wasn't actually trying, I feel a bit .

Fell very pmsy too today.

Fingers crossed for you ladies in the 2ww. Please let one of us get a BFP before Christmas.

All the best for tomorrow MrsMc and MrMc.

Babymad2DS · 23/11/2006 09:23

Morning Ladies

Just a quick hello, CD22 today, 8dpo, creamy CM, couldn't take temp today so just put in yesterdays again and see what happens tomorrow. Been awake since 4:30/5:00am don't feel to good. chest burning, headachy, body aches, and I keep coughing!
I hope all you ladies are fine and well, plus thinking pos, fingers crossed for us all this cycle!
MrsMcJur good luck with today!
Babymad signing out! xx

MrsPolly · 23/11/2006 10:14

Thank you v much MrsMcJr! I'm feeling reassured and my temp shot up this morning so here's hoping that Mon was the day and Sun/Mon bd did the trick.
I have been looking at your charts and feel tempted to get the software too....it all becomes more than a bit addictive doesn't it (massive understatement there methinks!!).
Babymad hope that you are feeling better soon and good luck from me too MrsMc for your DH today. x

MrsMcJnr · 23/11/2006 14:30

Thank you both . Babymad - I hope you feel better soon . MrsPolly, glad I helped and that's good news about your temps today. . My software has now accepted that I Ovd on Monday and says AF is due on 2/12. Let's hope no-ones AF turns up this month.
