Pefect for us spotters and knicker watchers!!!!!

Good idea Natty.

Here's my sad little chart for this month!!!!

OP posts:
ladybump · 08/11/2006 16:21

have just been looking as the charting gallery on tcoyf website and people seem to be taking supplements. At the mo, i just take my folic acid. Would anyone recommend anything else? Agnus castus I heard is good and what does cod liver oil do?

Natty1806 · 08/11/2006 16:38

I was warned against Angst Catus unless given my a chinese herablist. It is said to be the herbal version of clomid and it strong stuff.

I take EPO up to Ov as that apparently helpd with CM, omega 3-6-9 as i don not eat enough foods with this in and am just about to start taking vit c and going to to try and get OH to take it as it is meant to help oh yeah and zinc because that is meant to be good for your immune system and skin.

So it is up to you what you choose to take, if you have a balanced diet then just stick with the FA as that is the most important.

HTH

ladybump · 08/11/2006 16:43

Thanx. Just so confusing when you get conflicting advice! Will get some epo for my next cycle as am to late now and ditch the agnus castus!!!

Babymad2DS · 08/11/2006 17:07

Natty omega 9 is EPO!

Back in a min to tell you how i got on or didn't, just off to dry my eyes, back in 10min!

Babymad2DS · 08/11/2006 17:39

Where do I start, I didn't have the scan or the H.S.G x-ray done, due to test that haven't been carried out by my doctor as routine. I'm now having them both done within the next 4-5 weeks. I was taken to hospital back in April due to a water/kidney infection but they also thought that I also had a pelvic infection too, tests were not carried out regarding this or even followed up, which my consultant is not happy about, so want me to have triple swops done ASAP. My doctor didn't send me for Cycle day 2 blood tests and also didn't make sure I have an up to date smear test, which my consultant said that my doctor should of sent me for these before being referred to him! The thing that really really upset me is, He want to do a internal exam and this other thing ( where they put this thing in and have a look) but I was so worried about it all a felt sick and dizzy so the consultant said we'll do it at the next appointment on the 3rd of Jan, I've let myself down feel so silly, so upset about it! Also I have very low iron, but my weight is fine, was low but they check and now 8stone which he's happy about as my records show it to be low ( 7st 4) but now it's fine! Out come my consultant has said he suspects I have PCOS, which I really didn't want to here! (soz about the spelling) I feel I have really let myself down!

So got to go for a smear and triple swops ASAP.
CD2 blood tests, plus other blood tests.
x-ray in the second week of my next cycle.
A internal scan which I'll get an appointment though the post in the next few weeks.
And then appointment with the consultant on the 3rd of Jan, (the test result for everything will be back by than he said!)
So going to be busy the next 2 cycles!

Thanks for your concerns! Hope everyone is fine and well.

Babymad2DS · 08/11/2006 17:48

LOL swops no its swobs!

MrsMcJnr · 08/11/2006 18:07

Babymad - oh poor, poor you, what a horrible day, huge hugs. You must be raging after getting yourself mentally ready for the tests and what they might tell. V angry with your GP for you. How irresponsible and slap dash of him/her not to check you properly. You have not let yourself down, you'd just been told that things had been missed, you weren't in the right frame of mind to have that kind of examination after that news. Poor lassie .

Try not to worry, if it PCOS, you'll deal with it, my sister has it and doesn't seem to hve problems falling pregnant (and you haven't until now either).

Now you have a plan of action and a date when you'll know more about what is going on, that should help you stay positive.

BBW - glad to hear she is on the mend . I'm sure the BFPO have sent stranger items I got a lovely pashmina from my Aunt in Nepal last week thanks to them!

Ladybump - I think I probably take too many things but at the mo I take: Whole cycle - pre-natal vits, Royal Jelly, Aloe Vera gel plus pe-Ov - Evening Primrose oil & B6. Considering taking omega 3-6 but think I take enough 9) but I
think I need to drop something else first. DH takes male vitamins too. I'd steer clear of agnus castus unless prescribed by a specialist, it can cause you issues if you take it and fall pregnant on it I think. Best to be safe than sorry.

Natty1806 · 08/11/2006 18:53

Yeah only take omega tablets up to ov so am safe there.

Babymad - you are a tiny little thing, x cannot believe you were allowed to attend this appointment without them checked everything first, my gp had to reffer me which meant sending a letter with all the relevant results. You must have been so angry. I love the way he thinks it's PCOS when you have not had the proper tests done for this.

I have slight po on my left ovary in a way i find it comforting know what is wrong rather than unexplained infertility - know that is hard because there is no magic answers.

You know you ovulate by your charting so there is always a chance.

Hope you are okay. Big hug from me.xxxxxx

coggy · 08/11/2006 19:13

Nasty time for you there babymad....sorry to hear that.
I am having swabs tomorrow so maybe the same ones as you need.

I think V Beckham has PCOS and she's doing okay!!
Louise (ex-eternal) definitely has and she took 4 years to have her baby..........lots of peopkle who are diagnosed with PCOS go on to have children no probs and, as MrsMc quite rightly says, you've done it before........chin up.

OP posts:
Babymad2DS · 08/11/2006 19:49

Thanks ladies for your comforting words!
So mad with my Doctor but more mad and upset with myself for not letting the consultant do an internal exam and that thingy, I don't know what got in to me, I've been though worse, why did it get to me so much, at one point I thought I was going to be sick, oh well. At least in the next 2 cycles I will have all them tests done and go from there. With regards to the PCOS I've suffered from acne in some form or another since I was 15, plus other factors like since coming off the pill, lets say, I've started growing very fine hairs all over my face, then there that thing with the +opk, but we shell see, I'm not getting ahead of myself when it could be just my hormones playing up, which I hope that's all it is.

ladybump · 09/11/2006 08:07

Big hugs babymad. Life can be so cruel sometimes.Sounds like you had a dreadful day.

am feeling stressed and confused again this morning.(You've prob gathered by now that stress and I come into contact on a regular basis!!!)
My temps went up from a chilly 35.8 on Tues(1st day of charting) and wed to 36.4 today. Therefore, my tcoyf software things I've ovulated but i don't, I dont think!! Could it just be that my body temp is getting to a more normal pre ovulation level?

Had neg OPK yesterday and lotion/milk like cm, plus only on CD 10. All of which makes me think it's too soon. I knw it is possible to ov on day 10 but thought i had few more days yet. Know book says egg only lives for 24hrs and I'm in work now til 6 tonight and haven't BD since CD5!!!! Will have to get straight to it tonight. LOL Poor DH won't even get to take his coat off.
Opinions/help advice needed!

stretchmarks · 09/11/2006 08:28

Morning all,

Babymad - sorry to hear that yesterday was such a nightmare. I too would be fuming at my Dr for not getting things done.

Coggy - hope your swabs go ok today.

I got my smear test results back yesterday - negative which was a relief as I have had abnormal cells in the past but they picked up an infection (put this in the letter to me!!!) So had to wait all morning for the nurse to call to find out it was only Thrush - had worked myself into a frenzy thinkng I may have had something which could be linked to the MC.

Ladybump -not sure about your temp jump - cetainly the difference is significant enought to indicate ov and CD10 is possible - how long are your cycles usually ? Other option is you could be coming down with something - I am full of cold at the moment and there seems to be plenty of cold/flu symptoms about. Good Luck with BDing if it is ov !!!

Babymad2DS · 09/11/2006 08:47

Stretchmarks how long did the results take for your smear?

ladybump · 09/11/2006 08:49

my last 2 cycles were 32 and 28. I usually get ewcm each month though and still no sign of that. I bd'd like mad last month though and got bfn.Maybe i am ov early but my cm at mo is certainly not conducive to travel if you know what i mean!

Babymad2DS · 09/11/2006 09:34

Can's stop crying, why is everything so ageist me, my doctors cant do the swobs or smears for 5 weeks(nurse's off sick)and that's if I'm not on AF, And I need the result back from that to be able to have the scan and x-ray (which has to be done between CD7-10)done so at this rate it'll be about 3months+, before I know why!

stretchmarks · 09/11/2006 10:13

Babymad - my results took 5 weeks to come back. If your doctors can't get it done go along to your nearest GU clinic at the hospital they'll do them for you and I always found them very good there as they are used to fiddling about up there iykwim. Depending on where you are some clinics can see you quickly without an appointment others you need to wait or get a referal from your GP.

Ladybump - it's so frustrating isn't it not knowing exactly what is happening - wish I had x-ray eyes and could just have a look to see if the egg was on it's way down. If you have no other indications of OV it may just be a blip in your temps.

Babymad2DS · 09/11/2006 10:29

I've just rang round every FPC and none of them can help me . Just had a dam good cry as I've had enough now, but feel abit better for it, chest is hurting tho, also my eye just banged it on the boys bunk beds while making the beds got a black eye now, just wondering what's going to happen next! The app as been made for the 5th of December, if consultant doesn't like it, tuff! But that will mean I cant go for the x-ray, till I get the results back from the smear and triple swobs, so that will make it February time when I can have the x-ray done! Sick of it all just want it over and done with! Long wait ahead But DH said at least it's our son birthday in 2 weeks and Christmas time so the time is more likely to fly by, lets hope so (not forgetting the January sale's ) and not forgetting we might just get a BFP in the mean time, fingers crossed, off to chill out before I do anymore damage to myself, lol!

Babymad2DS · 09/11/2006 10:40

Coggy thinking of you, hope all goes well.

DebbsyandBibby · 09/11/2006 10:51

Coggy still willing you on that you get your bfp soon xx check on your thread all the time good luck.
Good luck to you all.

coggy · 09/11/2006 13:37

Thank you for your good wishes..........and especially Debbsy....that's really nice to know that you check up on me!!!!
Hopefully I will have some good news soon....the months do rather seem to be dragging on and on don't they!!!!

My swabs were fine....the nurse was lovely she was supposed to have similar to IUI but decided to adopt instead......a few weeks before her adoption went through she found out she was pg!!!
That seems to happen quite often I've heard.....it was nice to go and see someone who had some similar experiences an have a bit of a chat.

I asked what they were for and one was for chlamydia as I suspected and the other was for anything else they might find!!!....VERY general!!!!!
Just like a smear test....so was unpleasant and made my eyes water but it was not too bad!
Hopefully they'll be no more tests for a while!!!

OP posts:
Babymad2DS · 09/11/2006 15:38

Glad all went well coggy!

coggy · 09/11/2006 16:50

Thank you babymad............I hope you are feeling a bit better this afternoon.
X

Natty1806 · 09/11/2006 16:56

Glad it went well coggy did the nurse get the adopted child as well?

We have got an adoption information thing going on this evenng in our area and i ask OH if he wanted to go, he said no need he is going to give me twins this month

Seriously though it is something i am interested in but think we will be trying a few more fertility options first.

xx

coggy · 09/11/2006 17:16

LOL at his twins!!!!
Yes she had both.....now 15 yo...a very nice lady.

OP posts:
Babymad2DS · 09/11/2006 17:47

Thanks coggy yes feeling better, I'm just going with the flow now the whole thing really is out of my hands, if app aren't available it's no ones fault just s**t happens! I believe I don't need the results back to be able to have the scan done anyway. What upset me was the fact A my doctor are rubbish and B the time thing, as you've got have the smear and swobs done at the beginning of your cycle just after AF (which is where i'm at, at the moment) and then the result wont be back for 4-6 weeks a (cycle and a half) and you have to phone though to arrange a x-ray which has to be done just after AF, so at this rate my x-ray wont be until the last week of January! but trying not to get stressed over it! Trying! Have you ever had this problem!? Timing!
