Natty1806 · 09/11/2006 18:13

Babymad as hard as it must be ( i felt like this before i was put on clomid -took 4 months) you must try to relax and you already have two children you do ovulate from what we can see on you chart so there is always 3 chances before having to have the x-ray thing and as you have a lot happening the weeks will fly by. Plus it is Christmas soon and that always comes and gos quickly.

Take care. x

Babymad2DS · 09/11/2006 18:19

Thanks natty! lets hope for a BFP for us all this cycle!

1n2s · 09/11/2006 18:35

Babymad2DS - I have been having the same problems you've been talking about. I was on Diannette for problems with my skin years ago and since coming off the pill this May I've erupted in teenage acne and have had other problems around the ovulation and pre-menstrual, such as nausea/awful cramps/strange periods (but regular). My hormones sale up and down and make me feel crap I went to see my GP last month who said it all sounded like PCOS so I went for an U/Scan last thurs. I went in for the scan and got ready and really wasn't expecting it to be an internal one but thought hey, there is far worse to come when I pregnant in the future. It was all over and done with v.quick Results came back -ve so I'm obviously just a hormonal mess. I had my smear done before I got married as I knew we were wanting to try for baby straight away

Don't worry about it - its really ok. I got myself into a tizz before and had diagnosed myself with all sort of problems. You will be ok . Keep you're chin up.

My next step is blood tests for us both next month

3catstoo · 09/11/2006 19:06

Glad it went well Coggy. How soon do you get the results?
Meant to say thanks for the tip on uploading whilst online - it works everytime.

Sorry you're feeling down Babymad.

Natty LOL at the twins!!!

Had an awful day, very busy but with a migraine. Have been being sick all day.
Still have to pick DS up from Beavers so can't relax just yet.

Hopefully it will be gone in the morning.

Thinking of you all.

coggy · 09/11/2006 21:46

Shame............sorry you're feeling yuck. Migranes are the pits aren't they?

I don't know about the results from today....when/if I get them.
I did ask about my blood results that I had last month......thyroid (border-line always!!) and rubella but the nurse said there was no record of any bloods being taken since Dec 05...............
Also no mention of DH's sperm sample either....oh well.....ho hum........

Morning Ladies, feeling loads better today, off swimming too, I was on such I high (for unknown reasons) last night DH asked why I was bouncing off the walls, but I didn't know, just was, DH said I was hard work. Managed to BD yesterday Twice .

Plan of action-
Blood test on CD21 date 22/11
Smears and triple swobs on 5th/12
Scan, when ever they send me the app date
Consultants app on the 3rd/01
X-ray in the last week of January
Consultants app first week of February!

1n2s that sounds just like me,nausea/cramps/strange periods/mood swings/upset for no reason, and so on. I also was on Diannette it was the only thing that worked but since coming off it, it's got worse and worse doctor has put me an the cream treatment for my acne and has work so brilliantly, only got few tiny one and one bigsh one, which is fab for me, and just keeps getting better! Hope you get what you hope for soon!

3catstoo, so sorry you had I awful day yesterday hope your feeling much better today!

Natty we're also interested in the adoption thing, me and DH sat down and had a long chat about it a few months back, and both agreed that if we couldn't have anymore children, that we would go down that road!

Coggy thanks for all your advice yesterday, what's next on your TTC app list!?

MrsMcJur how are you today?

Stretchmarks glad your tests came back fine, but sorry they weren't more informative about your infection! Is everything is okay now?

Lots of babydust coming everyone's way, hope this is going to be a lucky cycle for us all!, Off swimming now catch up later, and I'll check the charts later too, byebye for now!

coggy · 10/11/2006 10:10

Had my temp dip today in preperation for OVing in the next few days.........quite exciting again....here the merry-go-round turns once more!!!!!

My plan Babymad is.....big effort this month....last month of clomid.
Next month.....do NOTHING(apart from BDing obviously)!!!!!
January.....go for IUI.
After that.....? Wait and see I guess!!!!!

1n2s · 10/11/2006 10:30

Babymad2Ds - any recommendations for spot creams? I'm fine until after ovulation up to AF and then wham I suddenly get loads of bib boily spots and look a right bugger I've been using OTC remedies as I didn't know what to use whilst TTC.

MrsMcJnr · 10/11/2006 11:12

Morning ladies. As I've said on a couple of other threads, I was out of action due to a migraine yesterday. It was right behind my eyes so was messing with my vision and making me very sick. Feel much better but have that day after migraine feeling if you know what I mean. Really feel for you 3cats, as I have no babies I can just take myself off to bed but know (my sister has 2 kids and also gets horrible migraines) that I am lucky to be able to do that, hope you are feeling better today.

Coggy - glad the tests went well. Glad to hear you expressing some frustration at the wait for a change, I don't know how you stay as patient as you do and it's good to hear you get it out .

Babymad - glad to hear that you are feeling more positive. I know that you have been through a lot and there still seems so much to check but remember that you can still get a BFP in the meantime so please try not to worry, I don't want you to make yourself ill again.

Ladybump - you remind me of me, I am really good at stressing myself out and when it comes to TTC that is a total lose-lose situation as I saw last cycle when I managed to delay OV by 3 days as a result. I know it is frustrating when you start charting and it is confusing and you do start to worry about every aspect but the key is really to not over analyse, it is a real wood for the trees situation and when you only have a few temps to go on and there is big divergence between them, it is easy to worry but when you have a cycle or two, you will begin to see a pattern. The software also changes it's mind as it sees how things progress so try not to worry. That high temp might be nothing and could get ruled out. I really hope that this doesn't sound patronising, it is meant as honest advice from one who is the stress queen, but honestly, the knowledge we get from temping is power so don't give up but give yourself a chance to get a pattern going. Sending you hugs.

Stretchmarks - glad to hear all went well and that the infection was not a bad one

1n2s - I sympathise, I have 2 of those really sore spots too. I am using Eve Lom Dynaspot, £18 but lasts ages and does seem to dry them up.

Off to chart spot

Natty1806 · 10/11/2006 11:12

Glad everyone is feeling happier today off to chart spot now. x

MrsMcJnr · 10/11/2006 11:25

Natty and Babymad - how much Vit C are you taking? I was reading the Zita West book last night and noticed that Vit C can dry up CM. Will check exactly what was said and let you know tomorrow.

Natty - Love the trampoline specific line . Now AF is gone, I'll be on the xtrainer with my SITC dvd again tonight. Are you feeling better now?

Stretchmarks - If you OV around the same time as last cycle, you've got plenty of time to get rid of the trush before the BD marathon begins haven't you? that's good

Coggy - great chart again, perfect symmetry between temps, cm and fertility monitor . Do you think the dip means you are going to OV early this cycle? hope you are feeling better?

3Cats - getting to that exciting action time for you again, go for it!!

Babymad - chart looking good so far

Natty1806 · 10/11/2006 11:45

Yeah let me know about the vit c. Yeah feeling loads better thanks, shame my face has about 6 spots on it that don't seem to want to go away.

3catstoo · 10/11/2006 13:13

What cream are you using Babymad, for the spots?
I could really do with something, mine are soooo itchy!
I'm trying to cover my jawline with my hair but have a habit of putting my hair behind my ears.
I hate looking all spotty. The odd AF related ones on my chin I can cope with. It's the dozens that appear the week before Ov that get me down.

If your cream works I might get some from my GP.

Hope everyone else is well today. Another busy day for me so have to dash.

Yes, I have that 'day after a migraine' zombified feeling today but at least the migraine and sickness have gone.
Off swimming with DD2 now. Then a mad dash to get back for school pickup. A quick tea then take DS to tennis. Tennis is within walking distance and the girls run around the field whilst DS has his lesson, so it's not too bad. Everything seems to fall on the same day though. Thursdays and Fridays are jam packed with childrens stuff so I'm always glad when the weekend arrives.

Have a good weekend. Hoping to get DH in the right mood for impending Ov.

Babymad2DS · 10/11/2006 13:58

SPOT Gel I get/got spots all the way though my cycle every day another 3 or 4 sometimes 5, each day, everyday, and I'm not talking little one's, But now I only get 2 a week, a few tiny one's but thats it. I'm on Benzamycin Gel from the Doctors rally really good stuff! I wanted something that was safe to take/have while TTC, It's not nice to wear as it feels like a mask, how ever thin you put it on, but the main thing for me is, it works, and worked within one week when I started wearing it all night, hope this helps ladies!!
MrsMcJur Vit "C" 60mg and I still get CM, in fact I've got EWCM today . Since I started taking Vit "C", Iron, Omega 3 and zinc I've had no headache (unless I've been crying or swimming) which is really good for me normally I cant go 2 days without having one but I've not had a headache (that isn't down to swimming or crying) for 18 days which is out of this world for me like I said! My consultant did say I have very low iron but I told him that I had started taking iron just over a week ago, which he was happy about, so maybe taking iron has helped with the headaches, as it's helped with my last AF, as I only had one heavy day, which again is fab for me! Soz for going on!

Babymad2DS · 10/11/2006 14:01

Soz got it wrong bloods tests worng, CD2 bloods tests which will be the last week of November!

ladybump · 10/11/2006 17:06

Hi all!
Thanks MrsMcjnr!
I know i'm getting all stressy but every month I think that this is going to be it and don't get it when it's not. No-one ever said TTC would be so hard. We're educated to think you can fall pg at drop of a hat and when you don't it so heart breaking. I'm 27 recently married and desperate for my first baby so much I'm devastated every time Af arrives. I know I'm over reacting and when I read what people on MN go through I feel bad but, as each month passes I wonder if it'll ever happen.I had MC in August and was just so heart breaking! I work with kids too and just want one to call my own!
I am healthy and fit. Don't over eat or drink too much so i feel like it doesn't make sense but then i suppose life rarely does. Also, I get so jealous when my friends 'fall' PG and moan about symptoms. What I would do to swap places with them.
Charting is the way forward but I know I've got to give it time. Her book really inspired me. The fact that you can present your dr with the facts it would take him 6 months to find out is really emowering.

Someone I work with today said 'I only have to cross my Kev on the stairs and I'm pregnant' and i felt like punching her. Completely irrational i know but I can't help it.

So that's me! Desperate, stressy and irrational!

PS soryy if i ranted a bit!

3catstoo · 10/11/2006 18:28

Ladybump, feel free to rant. We all do it and it's perfectly OK .

Don't give up hope. Give the temping a go and try to get to know your cycle and your body.
Your body may also still be settling down after the MC.

It took me 3 months to fall pg after a m/c and I was told that was very quick so don't feel down.
I took heart in the fact that I knew it could happen, so it would happen eventually.
I know it's easier said than done.

Thanks for the info on the spot gel Babymad.

stretchmarks · 10/11/2006 18:47

HI All,

Babymad - glad you are feeling better today it's such an emotional rollercoaster to deal with.

3cats & Mrsmc good to hear the migraines have cleared. Touch wood I don't suffer from them but my mum went through a time when she used to suffer quite a bit with them.

Ladybump sending you hugs it's so hard at times. I had a mc in August and started charting last month. My cycle went upto 35 days and I was convincing myself I wasn't ovulating as Mrsmc said it's hard to get a clear picture until you have at least 1 cycle to look at as a whole.

Mrsmc - I checked with the nurse yesterday and she said it was just a trace of thrush and if I didn't have any other symptoms no need to treat but think I may try some yoghurt out over the weekend just to make sure.

I'm also taking a leaf out of Mrsmc's book this month and have told DH he has a busy week ahead of him unfortunatley I am away at a conference on Wed/Thurs but have cancelled the hotel on Tuesday night so we can still fit in a BD on Tues, wed and Thurs hopefully!!!!

Natty1806 · 10/11/2006 19:37

Ladybump - feel free to moan we all do it. I would have punched that lady in the face as well.

What was you name before you changed it?

ladybump · 10/11/2006 20:12

oh good!
Glad i'm not the only angry ttc-er!!! I was wright4845 when i first started mn-ing

Natty1806 · 10/11/2006 21:17

Yeah i think once you have been trying a certain about of time or you brain has decided that all it can think about is ttc it turns you into a nutter thought i remembered you. x

coggy · 10/11/2006 22:14

Ladies enjoy your weekend!
My DS 4yr very unwell so might not be able to get on much or do temp if DS wakes me up as he's been crying all afternoon and evening in pain, I got a phone call from school alittle after 2pm brought him home and I phoned the doctor who tuck the attitude that there are a lot of children with coughs and colds at the moment, (which he's hasn't got for a start and wasn't told he had ) and was told to just give him some pain relief, I told him at the begining that DS had been complaining of pain in his ear and really crying about it, so I just ended up saying that I would refer him to see him in person, got an app, he saw him and he has bad ear infection in both ears, and was told I'm in for a tough weekend, I just tuck the attitude that I will need some pain relief for him as well than, my doctors are really doing my head in now I really thinking about changing! Off to bed now! Babydust to you all, have a lovely weekend! Babymadxx

RetroMum · 11/11/2006 01:15

Hi ladies, I'm new here, 'hope you don't mind me muscling in.

I am 33 years old, have a DS b. 19.12.04 and will be TTC for No. 2 from next month/next cycle. I am charting, but don't appear to have as clear a coverline as when TTC nearly 3 years ago and feel a bit anxious. I forgot how obsessive the whole thing becomes...it feels like the first time all over again, and we haven't even started yet! I know I should be grateful I already have a DS whatever happens, but I can't help myself!

It already feels like a help to be able to share my feelings here, so thanks for listening.

Baby dust and sticky stuff to you all xxxx

Natty1806 · 11/11/2006 10:06

Hope your son get better soon Babymad and welcome RetroMum
