The Lakes not whatever I put

peachygirl · 31/08/2006 11:54

Hi trace the holiday was really good, very tiring we did lots and lots of things and I'm still waking up at mdnight due to the time change I hope it settles for monday!
I don't know much about essex sorry wannabe but it does sound good if you get a uni and your DH gets a shorter commute.

pinkranger · 31/08/2006 11:54

i am in Kent , not that far, about 1 hour or so from essex - i Know that it takes me 46 minutes to get to lakeside

ladybump · 31/08/2006 12:14

what a fab house. we really need to sort our garden out. if I had outside area like that I'd sit out in the winter!!!

Is anyone else still ttc or is everyone else still getting over m/c? I'm just carrying on regardless even tho was told to wait for af. Not gonna test if miss af though. Dr said af could take 6-8 weks to return so will test after 8 weeks if no sign.

ShowOfHands · 31/08/2006 12:30

Oh what is it with mothers? Last time my Mum visited I cleaned the house from top to bottom (even the outside of the windows) and what does my dear mother do? She comments that my doorstep needs a 'good going over'. She hadn't even put a foot inside at this point. Grr aargh. I live in Norfolk so a bit of a way from Essex.

ladybump I suppose I'm still ttc in theory, but I haven't ovulated this month. Think I might be a bit wound up about the m/c still so my body has shut down my making babies function while I come to terms with it. The frustrating thing is, since I got pg in July my parents and the ILs know we are trying (dh told them) and every time we phone them I can hear them hoping that we've conceived again. Extra pressure, lovely! It would be the first grandchild for both of them.

peachygirl · 31/08/2006 12:44

Hi again everyone am bringing this to your attention!!
cheesy photo

ShowOfHands · 31/08/2006 12:56

Would love to visit Warner Bros studios.

peachygirl · 31/08/2006 12:59

It was really great I have other photos in front of various landmarks but I won't inflict them on you all yet!!

wannaBe1974 · 31/08/2006 13:27

oh SOH parents are dreadful once they know you're ttc aren't they. I told my mother when my sister had her ds2, she asked if we were going to have any more and I told her we'd been trying for a year but had had no luck so I wasn't hopeful. Now we talk of moving she said to me th other day "what if you have another baby!" to which I replied that I thought that was unlikely, and she replied "but you've only been trying for 17 months, you can't exactly say that can you". oh yeh, my husband has a low sperm count and in 17 months I've been unable to conceive - of course, you know everything and I don't. stupid cow she is.

Coriander73 · 31/08/2006 16:18

Aww Trace, you've got me all tearful now!! Bloody hormones! Yep..two weeks to go Pussycat...feeling heavy, strange & last night with very strong BH thought here we go but alas not yet!!! Trace, if it's a boy then it's Jack!!!

Tonight is our 4th wedding anniversary so we're off out for a meal & a large glass of champers!! Hope you two (& the rest but Pussycat & Trace are that bit special to us anyhow eh Peachy?!) get your BFP soon...we're always thinking of you so don't think we don't OK?

xxxx

ladybump · 31/08/2006 16:55

i know about the parent thing. Everyone is waiting now for the big announcement..... I had really bad headaches last week and went to drop in centre to get prescription/advice.
Dad phones while i was there, told him i where i was, next minute mum bursts through door and starts saying "It's not headaches is it? You're bleeding again aren't you?" Was so angry with her we had blazing row in waiting room and i told her to go home.
Now I'm ungrateful daughter with darling mother who just wanted to help. God help me!

pinkranger · 31/08/2006 17:11

we are/will be trying but not counting cd days or watching ovulating , we are just gonna chill out for the next couple of months and have a bit of fun with it all - And try and relax,
We have a weekend booked away in october where a group of 10 of us ( all couples) go away for a spa thing ( men golf) and chill out without the kids so just really looking forward to that now!!

coggy · 31/08/2006 17:46

wannaBe..your house is immaculate!!!
I can't believe a child and dogs live there too!!!!

I know I said it before but.....it's so good to see and hear from everyone on here.

Natty1806 · 31/08/2006 18:15

Cd37 and i have lots of spots which are really starting to annoy me and i am in a crap mood as DP is going out with his mates, he gets to do this on Friday and Tuesday but yet he feels as he has had a bad day at work he deserves it, will he ever understand me?

hiya everyone, just a quick drop in from me, this thread has lured me back good and proper, just like the old days
There are alot of posts, i wont respond to all, but i am thinking about every one of you, and your individual situations.
Trace, and wannabe, holiday countdown has started it seems!! I always think in terms of "sleeps" until an important event, so you must be on "sleep" countdowns by now (please tell me you know what i mean...par example, it is 6 sleeps till i go to posh nice hairdressers for a restyle of my fizzog, but alas only 3 sleeps until i have to go and cow-sit for my parents (they have a farm, are going on holiday, me and dh are farming in their absence.....but i digress!!)
So , holiday countdown for some, and moving too! I agree your house looks immaculate, especially that carpet wannaabe!! im v. - we tried a cream carpet in our spare room, it is now on the list for laminate flooring and there is only me and dh live here, no dogs or children!! it looks disgusting and has only been down a couple of years.
coggy nice to see you babes, and showofhands, and sol.......so many familiar faces.
Had a chat to my friend tonight (just had baby, week old today)......had a good cry when i came off the phone, but hopefully it should get easier? its silly i know. i was SO fine about it all, but after the actual visit, the holding, the looking and the seeing.....i dunno, when we left i just felt so lacking. Inadequate. The fact that our friends were now new parents. And we were not.
Ho hum. Life goes on, I know that, but it is still hard. Harder in fact.
By the way, I vote we should all sit on the sofa in a corner grouping maybe?? Easier to chat and pass snacks round and put our legs up, comfy like. With pjays on of course, and wine for those who would like, and other refreshments on hand too.
Pass the chocolate digestives would someone??
(((((((((((hugs to all)))))))))))
