The thing is i know the nurse is right but when i went to gp even though i have every faith in him i just didn't feel he understood what i was saying at the time and might say he will have to ring the clinic to double check.

Will ring up later and make the appointment for next Tuesday CD 42 and if she turns up in the mean time i can cancel it.

Angsthase · 29/08/2006 10:03

Don't know if I've been around long enough to count for this thread. Certainly feel like I know you all, but even though I've been TTC for 2years, only been on MN since March...

Natty1806 · 29/08/2006 11:31

Have made my appointment for next Tuesday with a different doc as mine is on hols. got a feeling AF might arrive soon ish anyway as i have a few cramps guess i will ust wait for temp to drop if not i see gp.

andi0411 · 29/08/2006 19:37

Hi ladies....

trace2 can I ask you a q re: ovulation- I've never done the temp thing- but if af comes in next few days I am going to- oh yes and have ord Weschler book-new version- from Amazon but delivery is not till Nov--aaarrggg.

Is this right:
Take temp from when af ends
3 day rise means ov has already happenend ie/ it's too late if you just rely on this- so cm should be observed and it is ewcm just b4 temp rise/ov?

If after ov temp rises again then poss pg- if it goes back to original number then af is due?

Sorry to ask so many questions...TIA

trace2 · 29/08/2006 19:57

yes yes and yes your right, but you can start on first day of af but its usally higher and then goes down after af, i temp from day 7 but then again ive done it for months, good luck

Hayls · 29/08/2006 20:05

I'm stil around, don't know if anyone remembers me as I didn't post too much though. We kind of stopped trying as we had loads of other issues going on with dh's health (hopefully improving now tho). IN the meantime though it looks like my endometriosis has come back so we're thingking that we should start ttc quite soon so tha tif it takes ages we've still got time. I'm going to see the gynae on 16th Sep so will see what they recommend but we would like to start again in a few months.
Sorry you haven't all had bfps, I haven't really been keeping up although I did lurk for a while but had a bit of a break from MN. Hope all goes well for you and you get postive results!

andi0411 · 29/08/2006 21:42

Thanks Trace that helps!!
Hayls- sorry you've had to come back but welcome. Look forward to chatting to you soon!!

wannaBe1974 · 30/08/2006 07:13

how is everyone?

cd19 today and not sure when or even if I've ovulated this month. Dh still not getting on too well with the fertility plus - seems to have had a permanent cold/head thing since started taking it. I've told him that he should stop, that it's obv not meant to be etc but he wants to take it at least until his next sperm test in October. I don't want him to put his health at risk for this, if it's not meant to happen then we have to live with that.

coggy · 30/08/2006 09:16

What a bummer that the 'pills' are doing that to your DH wannaBe....sometimes it seems everything is going against us in our pg quest doesn't it??!!!

I'm CD19 today too...I forgot we were cycle buddies.
I've got SO confused with the Sept thread the past few days....can't keep up with it!

Do you know if you've ov this month wannaBe?
I had my jab last Weds. so, unless my lp has lengthened (I really hope it has) then AF is due on Fri....21 day cycle!!!!!
I hope that the hcg jab has confused my body enough to give me some extra valuable days!!!!!!

Trace....you round CD 17???
Have you ov'd this month?

coggy · 30/08/2006 09:19

Oh Trace.....I need one more temp question answered please.....(you are the temp guru!!!)

You said to Andi that your temp goes up again if you are pg.......how many days after ov could you see a rise?

wannaBe1974 · 30/08/2006 10:45

not sure whether I've ov'ed tbh, if I have a 28 day cycle af will be due next friday - the day I go on holiday!

I've given up on the september thread. I know that sounds a bit mean, but there are so many new people on there that have joined and formed their own friendships, that I feel there's almost no place for those of us who have been on those threads since day1. I'm sure they're nice people and all that but ..

trace2 · 30/08/2006 10:48

wannbe, so sorry about your dh i think hes doing a great job still taking then!

coggy i really hope its worked for you this month
well if you get 18 days of i rise you can tell, but also if you get a second rise ie mine when pg was

I feel a bit like I am reading someone's diary reading this thread and I won't post on here again but I just wanted to say how much I miss you all on the Sept thread.

This is my third month of TTC, a complete beginner compared to you ladies. You have all helped me so much by imparting information, being really patient and empathetic and kind and also by teaching me patience and caution about the whole wonder that is baby making. Thanks to you, I have so much more respect for the whole miracle of life. It has been an absolute privilege to have "met" you and I hope that you all get your heart's desire before too long.

Please don't stop helping us!

Natty1806 · 30/08/2006 13:31

Wannabe

Just thought i would let you know that a lady named Nicola on the after miscarriage thread posted on 29th to say she has got her BFP and anyway my point is the fertility clinic had just told her DP that he had a low sperm count. Hope this gives you hope.

x

coggy · 30/08/2006 14:36

MrsMc....I am still reading the Sept thread although I have to admit I am skimming most posts and only properly reading the names I know well.

I, also, don't want to seem mean but it just goes too fast!!

wannaBe, Natty and I are on the 'Twiglet' threads anyway so we will all keep in touch....I think of you as an old friend!!!

Trace....thanks for that....I have been 36.3 and went up to 36.6 after ov. Today was 36.8 but only 6dpo so probaby due to some other factor?

Angsthase · 30/08/2006 14:46

Hey Girls, know what you mean about Sept, by the time I've read up to date and post, there's been about 10 posts, so I'm always out of sync. I feel like I should be in the MN equivalent of the threads for computer learning difficulties

Anyway, TW book and Royal Jelly has apparantly arrived today (DH asked what it was - I told him "womens things", at which point he didn't want to know any more!)
Soo, will start reading up and preparing my body for a clensing period (after this months bding) to up the chances for next month. Don't know what my chances are this month, but not confident. Will start temping after next AF.

Wannabe - yes, take comfort from Nicolas post re sperm and NUTS, NUTS, NUTS!!! - Get DH eating lots of them.

ShowOfHands · 30/08/2006 15:23

Hello all

Not sure if I qualify to be on this thread. I have been on the ttc threads on and off since November 05 (changed name in May though as I wanted a new start). Still recognise all the old names. I sometimes take a self-imposed break though as I can get a bit upset and frustrated- especially on the July thread when I thought I had finally managed it (and you too trace) only to then m/c. At first I struggled with the fact that it was all so "public"- ironically felt that I had let you all down- but the support really helped.

Anyway, I left the Sept thread as I haven't ovulated this month and I couldn't keep up anyway. It's the first time I haven't ovulated and I cannot for the life of me work out why. Anybody else not ovulate for no reason and does everything go back to normal next cycle?

So, can I stay? Does anybody know where decaf is aswell? Not seen her around for ages.

Hope you're all ok and that you don't mind me crashing your thread!

trace2 · 30/08/2006 16:05

MrsMcJnr aww so nice, i do take you as a cyber friend its just when youve been on the same threads month after month and not knowing most on there as the names change so much, like i said i am glad when the new ones get there bfp, its just like wannbe says us whos been trying so long its a little sad, i also know if you dont get pg first time that hurts like hell too we all want the same.

wannbee i was going to tell you about Nicola, she as old as me too

Angsthase get reading its a great book very intresting too

ShowOfHands yes of course i know the ones who would come over, i had noticed that most of the regulars had stopped posting, and as for not ovulating am sorry if you have not but it is normal for our bodys to miss some times.do you think your still worrying about your m/c it can effect it.

OP posts:
ShowOfHands · 30/08/2006 16:23

Hi trace.

tbh I didn't think that I was worried or wound up about the m/c anymore, but dh has (rightly) pointed out that I'm not the best person to comment on that. He reluctantly told me that I am a bit snappy and very restless in my sleep (wholly unlike me). On reflection, I do feel tired even though I'm getting 9hrs a night. I think subconsciously it must still be on my mind and affecting me in ways I wouldn't otherwise notice. It was the first and only time I have ever been pregnant and I didn't envisage it ending that way.

Still, I am positive and determined to carry on trying.

What about you? How have you been since it happened? I sometimes wish I could feel as dignified and positive as you often sound! How many LOs do you have? I think I remember seeing your montage and you definitely have one I seem to recall. I might just be imagining it though?!

trace2 · 30/08/2006 16:24

andi0411 GOOD LUCK WHEN YOU TESTXXXX

OP posts:
trace2 · 30/08/2006 16:34

hi soh, so sorry it does sound like it still effects you, same here i may sound postive ,but am not, when am on my own i cry alot.
i have a dd whos 22 still lives with me a ds whos 21 in oct but he lives with his dad, and then jack whos 4, dont really know what had do without him. as ive never really wanted one so much as i do now you see i fell pg with dd when i was 17 and on the pill so i got married and ds came year after again on the pill, i then left my ex after 16 years of marrage( we was never happy) then met my dh and and had jack a few years later(still on the pill).
so you see never had these probs befor and now i know my times running out am 40, in my time had a few m/c but really dont want to go in to that.
