TTC First Time - Anyone else?

My husband and I are TTC! I have been off the pill for a month now and have started taking folic acid and calcium with vit D to ensure if anything does happen I'm as healthy as possible. Limiting caffeine and alcohol but not cutting it out completely as you never know how long it will take! All my friends have just fallen pregnant really easily, but I have a feeling this will not be the case for me. I can't remember when my last period was either which is annoying as will need to wait for the next one before I can chart etc. Is anyone else out there TTC now? We could all share our stories and encourage each other!

Hi kitten, no I finished my pill packet and then had withdrawal bleed. So just waiting for a for preferably a bfp. On day 25 now so if apply 28 day cycle then af due mon. Think like you say lady November I'm going to wait to poas till few days late. I think the disappointment might be bad. Trying not to get hopes up but I'm playing the symptom game, defo have tightening my my ab area but that could be a for implantation I guess. So many of the symptoms are the same grr. I thought this was suppose to be easy in the films girls just fall preg. Y dtd once, and they start throwing up immediately and it's obvious. Fast learning this is the joy of media!

I'm all in a confuffle, I'm 8 days late for AF and even though I've POAS this week it is still a BFN!

Felt horrific earlier in the week, but was immensely hungover from friend's birthday (why oh why did I down prosecco from the bottle?!), so still non the wiser. Am getting tres angry at AF not showing up if I'm not upduffed. So narked I even booked a weeks holiday with the birthday friend for the end of July (woohoo - summer hols!).

LadyNov, I'm taking superdrug's version, but I'm not sure how good they are. Maybe I should slip some of the male ones into OH's tea!

Hey Lancashire tea, how annoying re af. This is my worst nightmare. I am praying for a bfp next week, but am realistic however for af no to show instead would be horrible I will have to stop myself going into the whole " what does this mean" nonsense! When did you last poas? And are you symptom spotting?

Not symptom spotting, as have generally been unwell for a few weeks. It was probably end-of-term-itis and then just a virus on top of that. I last POAS on Tuesday (it could have been Mon, but can't remember) and it was a internet cheap 10mui, but BFNs all round. Utter gash.

Katy I've got lots of pain today, as you say abdomen is really tight, actually really uncomfortable. I'm starting to get more convinced that I'll get a BFP because of the symptoms I have been having, especially today. I guesS i would describe it best as I feel heavy in my uterus, andiI've been with DH wandering about and went to the cinema and for meals etc. Barely can eat anything, and can't sit still as so uncomfortable and when walking just feel sore. Had streaks of blood in CM today too. Very confused, hoping for a BFP otherwise will be most upset that I feel this crappy!! Sounds like a few of us could have a lucky month! FX all round.

I have everything crossed for a lucky June for those of you who are TTC.

I've a docs appointment on Monday to sort out my implant removal and to talk about TTC. I'm so excited to finally start. My cycle pre-Implanon was around 28 days and I hope they level out soon. Lots of waiting for lots of waiting I guess ;)

Hey kittenmamma interesting symptoms, when are you due af? I this evening have started getting a v metallic taste in my mouth and still the sore nipples so we will see. I've read this could be a sign of bfp but also of af so trying not to get hopes to high.
Efilbean your so right on the waiting, I think it starts here forever waiting to conceive then waiting for 12 weeks, then 20 then 34 then full term then labour etc etc. it's a weird world. Fingers crossed for you that all return to normal ASAP x

I'm due next Fri or sat. so I'm a week PO. I've been peeling all day and have been cranky as Hell for the last week (according to DH, how lovely) but this heavy feeling is what's really got me. Seem to be feeling pretty yucky in the evenings too. I've heard a lot of people about the metallic taste, that's good! Sounds promising anyway!

lancashire I am in a similar situation may af is still AWOL but only bfn so far!! Gah the waiting and wondering is a nightmare and no idea whether to get more tests or just keep waiting?!
No real symptoms of either af or bfp!

Hiya everyone dh and I ttc dc number 1!! Had tried since dec for 3 months and nothing then work commitments ment delaying until now so here we go again this is month 1ttc groundhog day! I went back on pilk for 2 months in between- taking pregnan8cy vitabiotic so fc!!! Kittenmama fingers crossed sound like youre headed for bfp!

Hay katybear when I was ttc from dec I couldnt contain myself and was poas from cycle day 21 haha this time im going to be more chilled out. This time I plan on waitin till cycle day 30 if ive not had af visit by then and thats still a few weeks off and ill be in spain ha! What about anyone else x

Yep I think I'm planning the same. Day 26 for me, but this means nothing as only just off pill. Think will wait till thur/ fri so 31/32

Haha just realised I wrote 'peeling' instead of peeing. My app says I can try testing on Thursday (CD26) but I think as AF is due Sat I'll wait until Tuesday. That way my shifts go I will probably be off for a few days midweek so that's going to be the best time anyway. Still having abdominal pain, though the full feeling has subsided a bit.

I don't really think I can count this month properly, I have zero idea how long my cycle is, or when I would/did ovulate since It's my first month off the pill so I'll probably count next month as the proper first go...hopefully I'll have a better idea what's going on inside me then! X

Rainbow I'm using ovia, it's excellent, very detailed and you put data in every day on how you've been feeling, symptoms, CF, DTD, everything.

Gemerama I know how your feeling I was exactly the same when we were actively ttc in dec jan feb I had the same negative feeling towards the end of my cycle think I was so convinced it would happen immediately espesh with bessie mate falling preg on pill!
I think going back on pill april may and having some time away from ttc helped my mindset im feeling really positive now for this round of ttc! Your doing the right thing not testing let your body tell you and you know what they say if you stop thinking about it itll happen! (Easier said than done eh)

Heres a fun fact for you all. More babies convinced during world cup than any other sporting event so this is a lucky month!

Imworried about the exact same thing, my best friend has conceived three times on her first cycle, other friend has conceived first time DTD, girl at work conceived accidentally and I've a guy friend at work who's girlfriend has conceived twice accidentally, she's just announced she's pregnant this time and the other lass at work is 9 weeks right now, it will literally kill me if I struggle and the wait is driving me nuts right now. I'll be crushed if it's a BFN but we all have eachother here to get through it, where maybe our lucky friends won't be able to empathize.

Hi all - happy to welcome another newby? Finished my last cerazette packet last week and waiting for the bleed to start ... Anyone else taken that and had any experience of coming off it? Not sure where to even start with the ovulation tracking - what are you guys doing? Apparently with my pill you can be fertile straight away but I'm sure it'll still take a while for my body to settle down as I've been on for it years!!! Dreading the first AF as they were previously debilitating on the first day - also have a very high pressured job with long hours like some of you ladies so god knows what will happen if AF arrives at work - gulp!!

Hey flutter welcome, this is my first month ttc since coming off pill loestrin though. I am due af tomoz no idea if it will arrive I have af type symptoms but all could also be preg symptoms I have googled for England! I started to try to spot ovulation this month I used an app called fertility friend, to chart cm but nothing more than that. Am hoping to be one of the lucky ones that falls straight away but I guess will have to wait and see this wk!
