Massive reassurance, it's hard to believe you're still pregnant when there's no bump and you feel EXACTLY the same as before pregnancy haha Wink

Fingers STILL crossed for you H (always crossed) xx

Lolly84 · 19/05/2014 21:52

Hi everyone

Thanks for all your lovely thoughts!! What an amazing experience! Had a little dancing baby kicking it's legs lots and flipping around. You really don't believe it until you see it! All I could do was nervously laugh. DH was amazed. I am due 28th of November :-) all good so far.

Xx

mrshjb · 20/05/2014 07:28

Eurgh, I wish tomorrow would hurry up. Barely had any spotting really but still really think that AF is going to come, so really hope that she hurries up so I can start with cycle number 3!!

misskgb · 20/05/2014 13:20

very jealous of lady being able to find out the sex at the end of may- I'm a week infront of you and have got to wait until the end of june!! I think we're going to find out so put me down as a yes H- I just might not tell anyone (apart from you lovely ladies!)

15 week MW appt today- get the results of various tests. Hoping that includes the measurements they took from the back of rice krispies head and my blood which says about the chances of chromosome problems such as downs. FX they're clear if they do come today. Not sure if we get to hear babys heartbeat- I've read some places they say it happens at the 15 week appt but other places didn't mention it. I've not told DH incase it doesn't happen. So tempted to buy a doppler now!!

OP posts:
mrshjb · 20/05/2014 15:52

How come you have to wait so much longer misskgb? Ok I'll put you down as as yes then :) Hope your appointment went well today? Yeah I think I definitely would, unless there was some way that you occasionally might not be able to hear the heartbeat, in which case I would spend the whole time potentially risking having an absolute heart attack!!

I really hope that we're all still talking when all of your babies are born, it'll be really nice to hear each others experiences!

misskgb · 20/05/2014 16:20

I'll find out at my 20 week scan so lady must have a reason to be finding out earlier, unless she meant june?!

MW went well. All results clear or levels well out of danger zone (she gave me an a* for all my bloods!!) So very happy m2b!

Lolly84 · 20/05/2014 17:53

Feels so much more real now! Crazy!! I suppose the next milestone now is 20 weeks which is July.

I am defo finding out gender. DH keeps referring to baby as he. He might be in for a shock hehe!

Still got my fingers crossed H, think we were all expecting AF when we got BFP! Ur not out yet!! I hope we all keep in touch too! Xx

Ladymillion · 20/05/2014 19:13

I've booked an early gender scan ladies - I'll only be 16+4 so they might not even be able to tell! But they give u a complimentary free scan if they can't determine it... Soooo let's hope the baby's legs are open haha

Arrgghhh Helen I'm so excited for you for tomorrow!

We should definitely keep in touch everyone Grin

binkybunny · 20/05/2014 19:58

Hi all. Lovely scan news glad everyones doing well!

Can't wait til ours 2 weeks today. I have been so stressed with the move and work I was worried I had harmed our baby but I felt flutters again today :-)

FX still H. When are you testing if AF doesnt show?

misskgb · 20/05/2014 20:43

Does anyone know when medical ppl first use the doppler to listen to the heart beat?? MW didn't today n didn't really ask (not sure why!)

Hope the move is going ok binky x

OP posts:
Ladymillion · 20/05/2014 20:50

I'm not sure misskgb, I thought they only did it if you asked (if it's before 20 weeks)? I could be wrong though! In fact I'm probably just completely making it up Confused

binkybunny · 21/05/2014 07:15

A lot of people have heard the heartbeat at 16 week apts on my antenatal thread, but a few were told its after 20 weeks. We dont get a 16 week apt here so I bought one from Boots but cant hear anything apart from my stomach growling Blush

Ladymillion · 21/05/2014 07:52

What make is your doppler binky? Mine is the angel sounds one - it says to buy the gel separate but I didn't, I seen some suggestions online about using baby oil but I didn't have any of that either! So I used water and it worked brilliantly. Yesterday it took me a while to find the heartbeat (kept hearing the placenta), so it just depends on the position of the baby. Also my uterus is still veerrrry low down so it feels weird placing the doppler so low haha

mrshjb · 21/05/2014 08:01

Morning, I'm feeling a bit too nervous to respond to everything properly! But nice to read all the updates :)

No sign of AF this morning so far. There are some things that make me think that she isn't going to show up today, but I am really trying not to overanalyse things and convince myself that I'm pregnant only for the witch to trick me again and show up tomorrow!! I won't consider testing until weekend. Keep your fingers crossed for me ladies and I'll update if I have any news!!!!

chillychicken · 21/05/2014 08:46

H!!! I have everything crossed for you Grin

My update for stats:

Due 10th December, not finding out sex

12 week scan booked for 2nd June - major cock up there. Midwife didn't send in referral so I called the hospital direct, then they sent the confirmation letter to my old address. Thankfully my PIL live there now but FFS!

Having a short break away just after scan. The hotel we're staying in has an amazing spa who do a "pregnancy experience" so I'll be booking that today.

Told my Dad who was shocked but thrilled and told DSIL as well who was very excited. So much for not telling anyone before 12 week scan...I think by the time the scan gets here, over 20 people will know! Weep!

KikiThePea · 21/05/2014 10:44

I'm keeping you in my thoughts, H, and I will be completely over the moon when you do get your bfp. I'm not going to tell you to try to relax and forget about it, but I will say I think you're being brilliantly level-headed about it all.

binky - I heard the heartbeat at the 16 week appointment, but the midwife said that they don't do it until later in lots of places as it can be quite distressing if they can't hear the heartbeat that early (even though it's completely normal not to be able to).

22+1 today so little bean is making its way to being officially declared as a 'baby'. Absolute marathon kicking session last night and still incredibly low down which makes it feel all the more strange.

Leaving tomorrow for bit of a mini-break to see some friends for the weekend - really looking forward to it and taking the opportunity to enjoy the feeling quite energetic stage. Bump is getting larger by the day - thankfully still all bump - and I did have a fairly amusing moment yesterday where we parked in a multistorey and I had to get DH to reverse the car again to let me out as it turns out my old trick of slipping between car and concrete pillar no longer works...At least I wasn't driving on my own!

I hope everyone's well, and it's so wonderful to hear all of the updates. I really do hope we stay in contact as I can't stress enough how great it's been to have this support network here since the beginning, (and just the confirmation that I'm not going mad on my own!)

Nice to hear from you chilly Sounds very annoying with all the mix up with your scan though. Glad you managed to get it sorted in the end! Pregnancy experience sounds really good. My sister had a pregnancy pamper treatment thing at my hen do and she loved it! Bet it was nice to tell people :)

Kiki hope you have a fantastic weekend away. It must be really amazing to start to think of 'the baby' and feel the kicks! Laughed at you forgetting to factor in bump when parking!!

Thanks for the crossed fingers etc everyone. I'm just really scared that it'll be one of those trick cycles again. The only difference is that this month I temped to confirm ovulation. Who knows though- I wouldn't put anything past my evil body! AF might just arrive a few days late, which to be honest would be much preferable to seeing more bfns!

I think I will be having massive palpatations if it comes to testing at weekend though. I am a seriously POASaphobe after that awful month!

misskgb · 21/05/2014 14:00

misskgb is now googling pregnancy experience spa days!!

H- you're doing amazing and really hope it's your time FX

Also laughed at Kiki (out loud at work which I had to try to hide) re parking and bump

I keep telling people I'm expecting so they don't just think I'm over eating and indulging, I keep pointing to my tummy saying 'did you know' or 'look, I'm fat' hehe

Lady its a prenatal listening thing I bought on a whim while I was in Boots. Not sure of the make but think I could have prob got better online!

H trying not to get too excited but really hoping for a bfp for you!

mrshjb · 22/05/2014 04:42

Oh my god!!!!!

mrshjb · 22/05/2014 04:44

Yes it's an obscene hour of the morning but I was laid awake and couldn't sleep so I tested and it's a pretty cracking BFP!!!!!

chillychicken · 22/05/2014 08:24

OMG OMG OMG!!!!!!!!

chillychicken · 22/05/2014 08:27

Sorry, I had to comment straight away!
