Everything crossed H! :-) keep us updated

Lolly- very excited. Thursday can't come soon enough tbh. It is reassuring to have a bump but still really want someone to tell me for sure everything is ok!

Telling my dad tonight as he's away next week & then will tell everyone else after the scan between Thursday & Saturday so I can relax at our presentation Saturday night! This next week or so is fx gonna be great! :-)

Binky-dh cheated on me in my dreams last week. Was very real & woke up crying but did kick the c**p out of him in my dream for it. Def with u on the discharge thing too. Bloody hormones! !

misskjb hope you had a nice evening telling your dad. Its so lovely sharing the news :-)

I'm 17 weeks huge bump, can feel flutters, have had a scan and still find it hard to think there's a baby in there Blush. Every now and again I realise and I get excited/scared/overwhelmed at the same time! Just 4 weeks and 3 days until we see him/her again Grin

KikiThePea · 03/05/2014 14:52

Have a wonderful week misskgb - the relief after the scans is great!

I know the feeling(s), binky!
I saw my friend a couple of days ago - she's a couple of months further along than I am. I thought my bump was huge, but now feel tiny in comparison!

misskgb · 03/05/2014 17:36

My Dad was really pleased! :-) feeling a lot of pressure continuing to hide it til the end of the week but only days away now.

Feeling very emotional today & yesterday, and tired despite a week of doing nothing! Trying to reassure dh everything is ok is difficult as I don't know what's up myself! !

Wow Binky must be a great feeling. It's lovely to have you ladies ahead as it makes me even more excited knowing what kinda things are to come.

Misskgb, that must have been great telling your Dad. In terms of the tired and emotional it is 100% symptoms you should be feeling. Emotional with the hormones increasing and tired cos the tiny person you are making. If you imagine week by week on the babycentre app all those changes, no wonder you are tired despite all that rest. I called my sister about tiredness as was feeling bad about feeling the need to lie down a lot, especially after work and had lots of reassurance it's normal. She tells me to make sure I rest when I can and eat when I can for energy. I am not an expert but hope that helps.

So my Mil had a BBQ party last night for DH aunty and I could not believe that my secret has not been hidden well. DH has a lot of aunty and kept looking at what I was drinking. At the end of night my MIL was drunk and whispered in my ear "I know you are pregnant". I just said "not that I know of". I just want my family and his family to know at same time so didn't admit it. Feel bad for lying but hey. X

binkybunny · 04/05/2014 09:12

Tiredness is horrid. It does get better though, I promise! I'm still sleeping lots (had 2 naps yesterday afternoon) but actually have lots of energy in between. We move in 2 weeks time so need it to pack the boxes!

Over did it a bit yesterday even though I didnt carry anything heavy. Sore back and tummy pains today. Poor DH is going to have to do most of the packing while I shout instructions from the sofa today Grin

Lolly84 · 04/05/2014 09:47

Lol what a time to move Binky. As long as DH knows his orders hehe x

mrshjb · 04/05/2014 10:30

Hey everyone hope you're all enjoying your bank holiday weekends! Thanks for all the positive thoughts you've all been sending me! Ewcm stopped yesterday so hopefully I've ovulated now. Dtd Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday so hoping to have covered it. Probably will keep going a little bit longer just in case. I know it's crazy but for some reason I just don't see it happening this month!!

Nice to hear about all of your growing bumps, must be very exciting :) Bet it was lovely telling your dad misskgb. Lolly life would be so much easier if people didn't question you wouldn't it! We had a family funeral on Friday and I'm sure DHs family think I'm pregnant because I wasn't drinking. A few people asked me when we were thinking about kids. Then yesterday my neighbour said "speaking of kids, it'll be you next won't it...." It's so hard to know what to say. Part of me wants to say yes I really hope so but we've been trying for a few months now and I'm not getting pregnant...!!

misskgb · 04/05/2014 19:00

I know what u mean H. All I say when people tell us we're next is 'one day'. So much pressure! It was so hard today keeping it from my sisters & mum especiallywwhen my back gave in!! Just counting down the days!!

OP posts:
misskgb · 04/05/2014 19:01

Oh & thanks Lolly-good to know it's not just me. Think I expected the tiredness to go away!!

OP posts:
Lolly84 · 04/05/2014 23:35

Nice to hear from you H, defo carry in as I am sure you ovulate after EWCM. I know I did anyway. I think you will always feel like it is not your time. I remember I was convinced I was out and for the first time didn't symptom spot. Think Chilly was the same. Probably a good thing not to have your hopes up. Still have everything crossed for you.

It would defo be easier H but the fact I wasn't asked was weird. Just a lot of looks. I feel bloated so had a baggy top on and think that made people look at me more. I wish MIL came to me privately instead of talking to all the Auntys first. I suppose she will just be excited. It takes a bit of pressure off breaking the news as I have been a little nervous about that.

Was very smug this morning when hubby had a bad hangover and then when we went round to see in laws they were all hungover.

misskgb I had 8 hours sleep last night, 2 hours nap today and now so tired in bed ready for sleep at 11:30. Only reason it's not earlier as didn't want to pull DH from his brothers house. Trying my best to not be boring. Really think what your body is growing through. What symptoms have you had for the past 2 weeks? I have only had slight nausea, heavy sore boobs and tiredness oh and hunger.

So I am now on 2ww for my scan, baby is the size of an olive this week - random.

X

Gennz · 05/05/2014 03:02

Hi ladies just poping in to see how you all are! I'm 10 weeks today and have been as sick as a dog this last week, been having food aversions to all but the most crappy food. Literally can't even look at a vegetable without wanting to be sick. Usually I am quite a healthy eater but I've been all overt he McD's and sausage rolls Blush Today's not been so bad so hopefully it will start waning soon. There's def a bump happening but I think it's a food baby from all the shit I've been eating Sad

H fingers crossed for you! I know it must feel like ages TTCing ... did you start trying at the beginning on the year? Still very much within the norm, maddening as it must be, hopefully this will be the month!

Lolly totally relate to the smugness of not being hungover but it doesn't cancel out how annoying drunk people are. I never knew because I was always one of them!

mrshjb · 05/05/2014 07:49

Morning. Having a full on strop this morning because ewcm has pretty much gone but bbt is still low. lolly can you or anyone else remember how long after it stopped you OVed? Tried to tell DH how upset I am but he doesn't get it at all. Kind of makes me want to punch him in the face.....!

Lolly yeah it would have been better to have asked you first wouldn't it! but like you say they are probably just all really excited! At least you are actually pregnant, I think my DHs family will be in for a disappointment! It's definitely nice to be rid of the hangovers though I'm sure!

Gennz nice to hear from you, can't believe you're 10 weeks already! Well we've been technically trying since early December, but when I think about each cycle I think the last one was the only real chance I had to get pregnant. Think that kind of makes it worse really though! Hopefully the sickness will stop soon! Have you got an appointment for your 12 week scan yet?

misskgb · 05/05/2014 09:47

H- keep going and if u can, try not to stress or over think any of it. It will happen for u if u keep dtd, get your legs up & enjoy baby making! We're all right behind u! :-)

Lolly- my symptoms consist of painful boobs (was 40dd before baby!) Headaches backaches and tiredness. Food wise I haven't touched pasta for about 6 weeks, don't always fancy bread & sometimes have no idea what I do/don't want but generally the sickness went away a couple of weeks ago

Good to hear from you Gemnz!

Nice to hear from you Gennz we are exactly on the same week! The food aversions are so annoying aren't they! I can cook a whole lovely meal from fresh for me and hubby and by time I have cooked it I have gone off it and end up having tomato soup!! It's quite annoying but my advice is just eat whatever you can. When's your scan?

Helen I think it must have been 2 days after EWCM. I didn't did after the ewcm and was lucky that sperm hung about (lol). Keeping going for it as Misskgb says with your legs in the air lol!

Thanks for symptom update Misskgb, I am suffering with boobs at mo and can't get comfy, they were 32G before I started and have no idea what I am now. Trying to sleep on left as heard it is best for you. I am all for the symptoms as means stuff is happening xx

binkybunny · 05/05/2014 19:33

Lolly you dont need to sleep on your side until after 16 weeks so just get comfy for now! I'm wishing I'd spent more time sleeping on my back while I could as sleeping on my side hurts my hips. Also cant sleep on left, it just doesnt work for me so I just sleep on my right. Apparently its not bad, just sleeping on your left let more blood flow to the placenta.

Lolly84 · 05/05/2014 19:40

Yeh I read that during first trimester you should try and get used to left. I am a side sleeper anyway. Yeh to do with placenta and liver is on right so takes pressure off liver (or something like that lol) x

misskgb · 05/05/2014 20:03

Well I'm a tummy sleeper which does not bode well for when the bump starts to get in the way! Tbh I toss & turn that much I'm ok sleeping any which way. That's probably why my chest hurts so much first thing!

Does anyone else feel that they're wearing a big flashing sign screaming 'I'm pregnant'?! Seriously-dhs parents today quizzing how I'm feeling & hows my health. My sister said yesterday I was quiet & kept giving me soft little smiles. Can't anyone have secrets any more? !

Lolly84 · 05/05/2014 22:14

Here here Misskgb (after my weekend experience)!!!

Ladymillion · 06/05/2014 13:11

I'm a tummy sleeper too misskgb, every night I say to myself right, let's try and see if I can fall asleep on my side. 5 minutes later I'm back on my front (I'll try tomorrow haha).

Had my NHS dating scan/nuchal this morning - baby was wriggling and stretching like crazy which was so lovely to see again (had a private scan 2 weeks ago). He/she was measuring exactly 13 weeks as I'd calculated from my ovulation dates etc. I confirmed that I wanted the Down's syndrome screening and so the fluid at the back of the baby's neck was measured. Going from that measurement things are looking good - just need to wait a week for the blood results and then they'll give me a risk percentage.

Only thing that worried me slightly was they found 2 small fibroids which completely shocked me. They said it's common and nothing that can't be managed but I had no idea. Apparently they can be associated with heavy, painful periods (which I don't have) and are also more common in women of Afro-Caribbean descent (my dad is Jamaican) and also being overweight (which I certainly am!).

So I'm now being referred to a consultant who will be responsible for monitoring the fibroids whilst I'm pregnant. Scary but I'm so grateful that little person in there is okay Smile

weebairn · 06/05/2014 19:13

Lady glad your baby was all well on the scan! Sorry to hear about the fibroids but hopefully won't be an issue at all.

I am still sleeping on my front at 19 weeks! Make the most of it while you can, it's one of the things I missed most when heavily pregnant…

misskgb · 06/05/2014 20:14

Its great that they're taking extra care of u to make sure everything is ok! :-) sooooo excited for my scan!

OP posts:
Ladymillion · 06/05/2014 20:14

Thanks weebairn Smile

Haha we need a bed with a big hole in the middle like those massage beds where you put your head through the hole! Instead of our head tho it'll be a big belly poking through!

Ladymillion · 06/05/2014 20:15

Yes, it's very reassuring misskgb you're right!

binkybunny · 07/05/2014 07:01

lady nice to hear you have a lovely wriggly baby. Hope the fibroids are all ok!

The bed with the hole sounds great. Maybe you should get on Dragons Den Grin

misskgb when's your scan? Sorry if you've said, being lazy and not scrolling back!
