Hey everyone, glad to hear everything is ok with the baby Lady! Could the fibroids have affected your cycle length or is it totally unrelated?!

misskgb bet you can't wait for your scan tomorrow (I think it's tomorrow, I'm also being lazy and not scrolling back!)

Nothing to report from me at the minute really, ewcm stopped but then came back for a few days and had a slight temp rise this morning so hoping it continues to go up so I can confirm OV :)

Ladymillion · 07/05/2014 09:21

Haha Binky I should get on dragons den shouldn't i! Wink

Misskgb can't wait to hear about your scan!

H it sure sounds like you're ovulating, I have everything crossed for you ALWAYS!

Regarding the fibroids and my cycles... I will ask the consultant when I have my first appointment but I have done a bit of reading and it seems fibroids are associated more with shorter cycles with painful and heavy bleeding. Who knows though, it will interesting to find out! I have feeling that I may have caused them to appear/grow by being so unhealthy - this past year I've stopped exercising, ate lots of junk and I'm fatter than I've ever been! Even though my 'plan' was to be as slim and healthy as possible before having a baby! The bigger you are the more chance you have of these things growing (they feed off oestrogen which the body will produce more of if you are overweight and pregnant). It's made me realise that I've been irresponsible; but today is a new day and I'm going to be as healthy and active as I possibly can from here on out. It's given me a reality check as I want to do everything possible to make sure that baby is okay in there!

mrshjb · 08/05/2014 16:54

Lady thanks for that! I'm still getting EWCM like a week on so god knows what's going on now! Still dtd and just waiting to see what happens obsessively googling what might be causing this

Hope the diet is going well :)

Dying to know how your scan went misskgb!!!

misskgb · 08/05/2014 17:38

Sooooo.....just one wriggly healthy baby inside. I can't describe what it's like to see it moving its arms and legs. Even dh was amazed. Everything is much more real now! They've added just 3 days on to how far I am meaning I'm due 8th nov, exactly 6 months today.

Hope everyone is doing well on this miserable wet day!! :-)

Woohooo that's amazing news, congratulations :)

Lolly84 · 08/05/2014 19:31

Congratulation misskgb ! Amazing news to say the least.

You have got me so excited about mine. Still worrying a bit...eek. Xx

misskgb · 08/05/2014 20:56

Oh I was in a right panic last night-what if there's two? What if they find a problem? What if the heart isn't beating? What if there isn't a baby at all?! All very silly things but once the excitement set in that was it. I even woke up an hour before the alarm which NEVER happens!

Mum & both sisters cried. I called my brother in Qatar n he was chuffed (once he got over the fact I wasn't ringing with bad news coz he usually rings me!) Just dhs family n a couple of friends to go n then the secret is no more!

Bet that was such a relief for you, especially the not having two part!! Bet it's also a relief to be able to tell people and also to now have a date to count down too :) when's yours again Lolly?

Lolly84 · 09/05/2014 17:18

Oh Misskgb how exciting! Glad u got a good reaction. Those are all the questions I have in my head. Go from day to day panicking myself a bit. I feel super preg some days and nothing other days.

H mines on 19th so a week on Monday. Very excited and nervous. Just wish I could take a look myself. Nothing really changes from ttc to pg as it's all a big worry!!

How u feeling H? Any symptoms to spot?? X

mrshjb · 09/05/2014 17:31

Ooh not too long for you then Lolly hope time goes fast for you! Oh yeah definitely, life would definitely be easier in this whole process if you could scan your insides yourself!

Nope. Not even sure that I've OVed to be honest. Still getting bits of Ewcm and watery cm. Temp has gone up last couple of days but needs to stay up for longer to confirm and I have no idea whether it's possible to have oved and cm to still appear fertile! Bit concerned that I'm away without dh next week so if I've not oved yet I might miss it. My body has a seriously evil desire to screw me over!

Ladymillion · 10/05/2014 15:54

Misskgb congratulations on your scan! Smile

Lolly84 · 10/05/2014 18:18

Thanks Helen. Got a busy week ahead so should go in quick!!

Ah u must be getting a great work out. Have you thought about digital opk (can't remember if you used that before) I used that and it was useful. Quite expensive but made things easier. I don't know much about bbt.

I have been having a look at a few other threads and there are some real scaremongerers out there. Unnecessary.

Going out for lunch with some friends who I haven't seen in ages and feel like a big fat whale. They are quite glam and really can't think what to wear as everything is a bit snug. They don't know anything about pg. think they will be thinking 'woah what has she been eating?' Lol. They aren't nasty but I am always watching what I eat. X

mrshjb · 10/05/2014 19:16

Aw good. It's nice to have a distraction when your counting down time isn't it!

No I've steered away from OPKs because I think I drink too much water for them to be accurate, plus I think with the standard ones you're supposed to test in the middle of the day and there's no way I'm peeing in a cup at work!! If you're talking about the clear blue fertility monitor thing I think that might be different and you do it in the morning but like you say it's expensive! Plus I read that it wasn't that useful if you have longer irregular cycles. But if my cycles settle down and I'm not getting pregnant then I will definitely consider it! Last cycle I found bbt to be really useful, over the last 3 days I've had a raised temperature as well, so if it continues then I'm pretty sure I will have ovulated. Which would be amazing news because it would have happened at the same time as last month and put me in mid 30 day cycle which I am ok with!

Yeah, there really are some awful people on here aren't there. I can only imagine what people like that could be like on the pregnancy threads. In a twisted kind of way I think it makes them feel better about their own situation to be awful to other people. It's not good at any time, but especially not during stressful times like TTC and being pregnant. Horrible women. I'm talking to someone on another thread about bbt and she's been really helpful which is really nice :)

Haha oh dear, it must be really hard to keep it a secret. Not long to go though for you and you can tell people. Hope you have a fab time :)

binkybunny · 11/05/2014 10:19

Lolly I havent kept it at secret at work but not shouted about it either so when I had to tell someone I am 18 weeks pregnant and with a huge bump I did wonder what people had been thinking about my weight gain!

misskgb great news on your scan and one wriggly baby! Hope mine is more wriggly at the next scan had a very sleepy baby at 12 weeks!

H hoping your cycles are more regular now. Must be so frustrating not knowing from month to month! Hoping you ov'd while still at home too!

I'm still not really enjoying being pregnant which is making me feel bleugh. Don't feel too sick now just gagging at certain smells but seem to constantly feel ill one way or another! Have come down with a rotten cold abd suffering really bad lower back pain. Also struggling with eating veggie food all the time. Its a lot harder to decide what to have for dinner!

misskgb · 11/05/2014 14:31

Oh binky :-( there's still stuff I can't touch which makes deciding anything around dinner time difficult!

I love not having to hide anything anymore-I think everyone knows now apart from work who we're telling tomorrow (my boss & HR know but not my team).

Been told I can't umpire at netball which is a bit pants but will have to start swimming from now to keep fit.

How's everyone else feeling? X

OP posts:
Lolly84 · 11/05/2014 18:34

Hehe Binky! I ended up avoiding lunch today as really couldn't face it! With my food aversions too.

Misskgb must be great to say it all out loud!! Well one word to describe how I am feeling is Emotional!

I haven't cried like this in ages, DH has annoyed me a little as he has been out lots so had a full on cry telling him how I felt. Totally irrational. He was great. Just need to think of things to do that doesn't involve the pub. Need a pamper too, hair is horrible, face has gone spotty and let my eyebrows grow out lol. Hope this feeling just lasts this weekend xx

mrshjb · 12/05/2014 08:09

Morning,

binky hope the symptoms will start to ease up a bit soon! It's supposed to get better at the mid 20 week point isn't it?! Thanks. My temps are suggesting that I'm about 5dpo ish today, so I'd be really happy with that! Makes for about a 35 ish day cycle, so quite long but I suppose it gives me a bit if a break of TTC at the start of the month! Fingers crossed anyways :)

misskgb hope you enjoying telling everyone today. Swimming sounds good, you should definitely be able to keep up with that throughout the pregnancy shouldn't you!

Lolly you poor thing! an emotional breakdown doesn't sound like much fun. At least you've got a legitimate excuse and I hope the feeling passes soon! I can sympathise with the skin though, since coming off the pill I've been covered in spots and I've not had spots for years before this. It's really quite depressing isn't it. They seem to come on in the second half of the month for me so wondering if it's the progesterone. Hope that doesn't mean I'm going to be a spotty mess throughout pregnancy too! Although I have a friend and my sister who both experienced really good skin throughout pregnancy so maybe it's just luck of the draw!

Anyways I'm off on my holidays this week, so I'll keep checking in if/when I can but hope you all have a good week!!

misskgb · 12/05/2014 22:26

Enjoy your break H, and RELAX!

Yep, am hoping to swim regularly thru pregnancy. Just need this busy couple of weeks to pass by and will then crack on.

I'm still a bit emotional lolly but not as much as what I've been like the past few weeks. It does get better but I think the men in our lives are just going to have to live with us!!!

binkybunny · 15/05/2014 06:43

Hi all. Hope you are all well and H you are enjoying your break away?

Well its house move time this weekend and I cant wait to get it over with! Have had one hell of a busy week at work, far too stressful and today is going to be manic. Excited though for tonight as we pick our keys up and mum and dad arrive to help carry boxes.

Right. Got to drag myself out of bed for one more day of work madness.

weebairn · 15/05/2014 07:50

20 week scan today. Bit nervous, don't really like scans. Boyfriend is coming with me though.

I told work yesterday, felt like it had been long enough. Apparently no one had noticed anything! I do have a small bump but it's not massive I guess. Then I got told off by HR for not telling them and getting a risk assessment done earlier, even though last pregnancy they were mean to me and completely unhelpful.

Trying to get signed off my next night shifts, when I'll be 28 weeks. Night shifts + third trimester is not a good idea, in my opinion. Hope it's not too much of a battle.

Anyway wish me luck for today! Good luck to those of you battling with horrible first trimester symptoms and the stress of TTC...

KikiThePea · 15/05/2014 09:57

Good luck today for the scan, weebairn - I hope everything goes well and that you can relax enough to enjoy seeing baby again.

And good luck to you to for the move, binky! At least you have an excellent excuse not to carry lots of heavy things yourself! We're in the midst of renovating our entire house, which feels like more of a mammoth task than it already did, but at least we'll get it all done before baby arrives!

Hope everyone else is well and at least starting to feel some of the more yucky symptoms subside. Hope you're having a great time away, H, and enjoying glorious weather where you are.

Right, off outside to enjoy the blue sky for a while - thoroughly enjoying the opportunity to have purchased lots of new dresses in preparation for this very weather finally arriving!

binkybunny · 15/05/2014 11:08

Good luck weebairn!

mrshjb · 15/05/2014 13:17

Good luck with the scan weebairn and good luck with the move binky hope they both go really well!

Enjoy the sun Kiki I think we're supposed to be in for a nice weekend!

Holiday has been great thanks. Been feeling dizzy and sick over the last few days on and off though gh. Had to go back to bed for an hour before. Only 8/9dpo ish though so am sure it's too early for symptoms!! Back home tomorrow. Off to make the most of the sea air soon :)

misskgb · 15/05/2014 17:54

Hope they're good signs for u H!

Good luck with the house move binky and be careful!

Yes weebairn let us know how it goes! I'm sure you'd have said something sooner to HR if u felt u needed their input!

How's everything with u kiki?

Scan all fine, but super-wriggly baba wouldn't get in the right position to look at its heart, so going for another in 2 weeks! Everything else fine. Gender still a surprise.

Feeling quite worn out today after lots of walking to hospital and back and doing various other errands. It's not a good sign when you're curled up in bed before your toddler is!
