coggy · 15/09/2006 18:06

Do it Pinky....DO IT!!!!!!!!!!

There we go.....that should help you along for a while!!

I like the freya bras as they oush everything forward...can't stand fullcup ones as I stick out at the side in them!!
NOT a good look!!!

Do you get their catalogues either of you?
They've got a couple of new dresses out and some lovely tops which I'm going to get with my birthday money.....

Going to spend loads as I've got to cheer myself up somehow now I'm nearly 35!!!!

coggy · 15/09/2006 18:07

Ooop!
Also meant to say........

.........what a FAB idea MrsMc about your bikini bottoms!!!!
I like that!

Natty1806 · 15/09/2006 21:04

Corr you lot have been chatty today.

Lost 0.5 pounds slightly disappointed as i had been very good this week, so to make me feel better i have eaten:

Toast
Mini chedders
Twirl
Burger king meal
Home made min portion of sweet and sour pork with rice

  • 3 blue WKD's

Promise to improve once i have finished drinking tonight.

I have also decided from hearing from friend etc to enjoy booze as it helps relax you and therefore help in the baby making department so i am sticking to EPO and pre seed this month up to ov but from CD10 - whenever i ov i think i am going to have a few drinks in the evening to chill me out get me in the mood etc. I am going to count them into my allowance when i go back to being good.

Going to take my measurements next week to see if i have improved as some of you girls have done well on this.

Sorry i am rambling now.

OP posts:
coggy · 16/09/2006 12:41

A disappointing 1/2 pound for you Natty but when you think of all the other improvements you're doing really well and you're going in the right direction.

Sometimes if you have been really good then having a blow out once a week makes your body work harder and you lose a bit more.

That's my excuse anyhow!!!

My Confessions:
DH has the man-flu (aarrrggggh!!!) so he drove to his 'do' last night which meant I simply HAD to drink at mine!!!!!!

I had....
FISH AND CHIPS
RASPBERRY KNICKERBOCKERGLORY
2 1/2 WHITE WINES
1 CHAMPAGNE

.....but..........I also had a diet coke and a mineral water when everyone else had another 2 wines....so I think I did okay in the end....all things considered!!!!!!

Natty1806 · 16/09/2006 12:50

that's not too bad coggy. what is it with you girls on her a champayne and i then only not rich one?

OP posts:
coggy · 16/09/2006 12:54

One of my friends had LOADS of champers for her 40th (just over a year ago).
She's a single mum and doesn't drink at home.
I told her it might go off so we had a few champagne evening round at hers!!!!

I am truly naughty!!!!

Last night was a friends birthday and someone bought him a bottle as a present.
Most people were fairly sloshed at the end of the night so it seemed like a good idea to open it!!!

I have NEVER ordered champagne at a bar or anything.....but I would if I was rich!!!!

Natty1806 · 16/09/2006 13:00

That explains it then.

OP posts:
coggy · 16/09/2006 13:06

Well I'd really like to say that I live on my private yacht for most months of the year sipping copious amounts of champagne and watching the sun set in various continents depending how the whim takes me.

My nutritionist and dietician and currently fixing me lunch - smoked salmon of course and I think that will be washed down by one or two glasses of fizz.

And my plastic surgeon is on the cell phone discussing the finer details of my tummy tuck op. which is scheduled for when I next dock in Florida Keys........

............anyway.......back in the real world...I'm off to have a cup of tea and a ham sandwich for lunch!!!!!!

Natty1806 · 16/09/2006 13:10

Sounds lovely wish i was that rich, i get sea sick though so not too sure about the yacht just a massive house with lots of ground with fast cars and excess money for me in my dream world.

....back to reality no lunch yet - cleaning and then food shopping, oh how i love saturdays!

OP posts:
coggy · 16/09/2006 16:01

Ah well.......the practicalities of real life eh?!

I've just cleaned the toilet!
A far cry from my yacht fantasy!!!!!

MrsMcJnr · 17/09/2006 16:45

Go Pinkranger, Go! swing those arms too! It's ok to be crap sometimes, sometimes the more you try the worse it gets Your poor DS, my nephew is hating nursery and cries all day. He doesn't like biscuits so they are not having much luck bribing him there!

Coggy - LOL at sticking out at the side of bras - I don't like full cups either because I get the 4 boob look due to the overflow! Do you mean the Bravissimo catalouge? I chucked mine away without looking so I wouldn't be tempted but the idea of dresses has caught my interest, must look!
When's your b'day? 35 is a spring chicken I do believe!

Hey Natty, 0.5 pounds is good, it's down. One class I used to go to, if we complained about 0.5 she'd show us 0.5 of lard, now that made you feel like you'd lost something! One thought though, maybe you are not eating enough to boost your weight loss? Take care of you and if the booze helps you relax go for it but all you need to do is count it in as you say.

Coggy - sorry to hear about the man-flu, hope that doesn't mean he is out of commission! Doesn't sound like you did too badly at your party - much restraint! Champagne has the least amount of calories and so it's the best thing to drink - if only we could drink it all the time!

Joking aside, how good would it be to have your own nutritionist and dietician and have all your meals made for you?

I planned to be so good this weekend. We went to the cinema on Fri night (to see At Your Door - highly depressing, I don't recommend it) and took G&Ts with us (homemade in Evian bottles - lovely little pshht! as you open it! even had lemons in it!) All went well until we went to M&S yesterday to spend vouchers we had. There was a cooking demo (amazing smells) and we decided to treat ourselves to yummy food for dinner but steaks and baked pots aren't too bad!

Enjoy the rest of the weekend - I am enjoying some red wine before I climb up beside JL2 and spend the week on our wagon!

coggy · 17/09/2006 17:00

Secret GandT sounds like a good plan there!!!
My Dh surprised me last night....despite the man flu and being out with mates all day he was determined to get on with it last night.

Think me explaining the little hospital room and IUI has definitely got him going this month!!

Now....if I can get him Monday AND Tuesday..then we can't say we haven't given it our best shot this month!!

I am going to ov at midnight on Tuesday BTW!!!!!
Always useful to be able to plan these things ahead!!!

Anyway....this being a healthy/diet thread and all......I have just eaten a HUGE roast dinner and feel sick!!!
But it might balance out a bit by the fact that I will not be having any tea as I am still soooooooo stuffed!!!

My birthday is at the end of this month and it'll either be or as AF is due the same day!!!!!

Natty1806 · 17/09/2006 18:42

Sounds like it couldn't fail with all this bding and knowing you will ov at midnight coggy really hoping it is your turn.

Mrs - excellent idea on the g & T. Steak and baked potato that is good, i am have not counted anything all weekend so back on track tomorrow.

oh yeah coggy we tried out the dolphin in kinda the wrong position to get pregnant but it was a great shag (sorry tmi)

x

MrsMcJnr · 18/09/2006 10:05

Morning ladies

Natty1806 · 18/09/2006 10:12

SOrry to hear you are feeling sad Mrs, could you not sell the flat and keep the house?

Coggy - i have some blackberrys can you give me a simple smoothie drink to make i only have a blender with an attachement but not sure it is a proper thing. thanks

OP posts:
MrsMcJnr · 18/09/2006 10:27

Hey Natty - thanks for your sympathies. Unfortunatly, if we sold the flat we would not make enough to pay off much debt and we'd still struggle plus the costs of upkeep on the house are so much higher than on the flat.

LOVE blackberries - do you have any yoghurt? a mullerlite or something? if I were you, I would blend the blackberries with a mullerlite/yog and a banana - yummy! and nutritious!

desperate2bmum · 18/09/2006 11:46

hi girls

can i join? i think i have attempted this once before but me and dp have decided we both want to lose a stone atleast so we have ordered all our health kick stuff from sainsburys and waiting for it to be delivered as we speak.

is there going to be a new thread as september is drawing to a close rapidly!! do i need to state measurements?

Natty1806 · 18/09/2006 12:25

That's a shame mrs but am sure you would prefer the flat with kids then the house and no kids.

Do not like yogurt so what else could i use?

Depserate - we all know what each other weigh but we tend to just post how much we lose / gain each week.

Am sure we will start again in October as it is only saint coggy who has cracked it.

OP posts:
desperate2bmum · 18/09/2006 13:08

ok well i am 11 stone would love to be 9 1/2 stone but i think 10 is more realistic.

hopelessy start dieting every monday but usallu fail by tuesday but hopefully with dp on it too i will succeed!

my diet will be based on lots of salads and pittas chicken and fish..it worked before i lost 2 stone in 3 months but put it all back on within a year

MrsMcJnr · 18/09/2006 13:51

Thanks Natty - you are right but it still makes me feel so sad right now. Estate agent is coming round at 5 tonight.

Umm, doesn't like yoghurt.. ice cream? milk even? or is it diary generally? not much help am I!

Hello Desperate - lovely to have you with us we all yo-yo a bit with our good intentions but the thread does help to keep us in check: Coggy inspires us with her weight loss, Natty is so good at going to the gym and that makes us all remember to exercise, JuicyLucy2 does her best to keep us on the wagon during the week and Andi says nice things to us all when we lose or even if we don't - oh dear, not sure what I add!

We also have daily confessions (but not at the weekend!) of what we have had on an alcohol and food basis and we have to own up about the amount of exercise we have done (or not as the case may be!)

Happy pound shedding!

Natty1806 · 18/09/2006 14:13

Ice cram sounds good, maybe i can buy some half fat stuff to go with them.

OP posts:
desperate2bmum · 18/09/2006 19:07

good evening all...

well i have managed to stick to the diet for one day! which is an achievement in itself. we have chicken and housmous pittas with an olive side salad mmmm and fizzy pomegranate water to wash it down. back to work tomorrow so should burn off a tonne of calories as on my feet for 7 1/2 hours solid.

do you all have a set day to weigh yourselfs?

coggy · 18/09/2006 19:25

Hi Desperate and welcome to your new body!!!!

MrsMc..... about you house for you but as Natty says...better a flat and a baby.
try to look at it long term......I would be very sad if were me too.

Natty.....non-creamy smoothie coming up.....
Hmmm...all the blkackberry ones have got other berries in too.
Here's the most simple:
2 handfuls blackberries
1 handful blackcurrants
2 apples
10 tablespoons apple juice

Here's another - I like the sound of this one myself!!
Banana Pie
2 bananas
1 apple
1 handful of blackberries
10 tablespoons apple juice

See how you get on with them.

Thank you all for making me sound so good and saintly!!!
Keep it up!!!!!
