< Goes to hide scales >

I would love to get on these smothies/fruit juice thing but have no idea where to start - Anyone!!! ( i also need a smothie maker -)
Do i have to let you know my weight

coggy · 14/09/2006 22:42

Come on Pinky.....confess all!!!!!

You don't need a smoothie maker...just a hand blender will do.
That's all I use.

I have a juicer but it's such a pain to clean that I don't use it as often as the blender.

What kind of stuff do you like?
I've got a book with 100+ recipes so let me know your fav fruits and I'll type a few up for you.

Natty...sounds very good - you must lose weight this week if you keep that up.
I am going to a big eat and drink night for a friend's birthday tomorrow although I have just got out of the drinking as my DH is going on a boy's night out and will need me to escort him home...so I am driving.
Just the fish and chips to work off on Saturady then!!!!!!

Juicylucythe2nd · 15/09/2006 08:51

Welcome Pinkranger!

I think Coggy secretly lost 1/2 stone last month, but didn't admit it until she hit us with the 11 1/2lb whammy the other day

As for me, well yesterday was a day of half goodness:
Alcohol: Sorry have to fess up. A bottle of beer and a glass of wine as went to the theatre with friends. All very luvvy darling, don't you know Hangs head in shame for falling off the wagon.
Food: All good
Exercise: ahem, well running tonight. That sort of counts doesn't it.

coggy · 15/09/2006 09:07

Does running count??!!
Damn right it does!!

If I went running I'd be shouting about it to everyone!!!
Very impressive.

I feel a bit of a fraud with my 1/2 stone.
I did do it, yes, but I had an extra week to everyone else so not sure if that actually counts??!!

I am still shocked at my loss.
I can't quite believe it....makes me feel like I must have been really bad to begin with!!!

Pinky....I started at 11stone 12.
The first thread we did I think at the end of 3 months I had gained a pound!!!!

Joined Rosemary Conley at the beginning of August when we started this thread cos I need someone to check up on me I feel!!!!!
Obviously works.

coggy · 15/09/2006 09:19

mango passion:
2 mangoes
1/2 pineapple
2 passion fruits
8 tablespoons pineapple juice

mango special
2 mangoes
2 handfuls of raspberries
juice of 1/2 lemon
8 tablespoons apple juice

I actually like the creamier ones best - they've got natural yoghurt in as well.
I've tried these two....

1 mango
1 banana
5 tablespoons natural yoghurt
10 tablespoons orange juice

4 handfuls of blueberries, blackberries, blackcurrants, strawberries, raspberries (whatever combination you have/like)
5 tablespoons natural yoghurt
6 tablespoons of cranberry juice.

Have fun!!!!

pinkranger · 15/09/2006 10:52

Juciy , you are very good running.

Thank you very much coggy , i have copied and paste these so i can save them and im of to get a hand blender at the weekend!!!!!

Do you like the rosemary one?

i did WW for 1 year and it did work but over the last year i didnt bother to write down my point and think that dosnt help!!!!

MrsMcJnr · 15/09/2006 11:25

Morning ladies, hello Pinkranger! welcome to our confession thread! It works you know, I imagine JL2 wagging her finger at me as I reach for the bottle, Coggy losing more and more weight and leaving me behind and Natty looking totally fab after all her work in the gym!

When I started 6 weeks ago I was 11 11 (all time high after coming back from Honeymoon - oh those cocktails!). I lost 4 pounds and then put 1 back on but this week I am determined to get the ball rolling again, I have planned my whole week and have also included the extra calories I had last night - confession to follow!

I never managed to lose the weight for my wedding I was 11 5 on the day, 2 pounds heavier than when I got engaged! I just had too many other things to think about so well done for getting the job done for that.

Really sorry to hear about your M/C . Hopefully we can help make you feel better, have some laughs, lose weight and get BFPs all round!

Now Thursday's sins:

Alcohol: Usless, useless, useless! I was seduced by a couple of glasses of red wine! BUT I let DH have most of the bottle, normally I would have fought him tooth and nail for my half share so maybe I am learning something. One dry day this week though, not good, must try harder next week (plus next week takes me near OV and into BDing time so hopefully I'll have the sense to hold out for more important reasons than weight)

Food: Not bad, porridge with blueberries for breakfast, greek yog with some muesli and apple for a snack, pasta salad with salmon (homemade) for lunch, mixture of honeydew and watermelon for afters, cottage pie and broccoli for dinner.

Exercise: ummm, very nasty weather - going for my walk would have been counter-productive but a quiet weekend ahead full of long walks!

Shall we have a water tab too? and aim to have 2 litres a day. Aside from the benefit to our skin etc and to losing weight, I have read lots of times over now that it is actually the increased fluid intake rather than the grapefruit juice or green tea that is actually helping with the CF.

Natty - you deserve a great loss this week, good luck!

Coggy - what a nice wife you are, I hate driving at the best of times but I draw the line most certainly on a Friday night!

coggy · 15/09/2006 11:27

I'm enjoying Rosemary because it kills two birds with one stone as she does the exercise class after weighing us.
Also..I find the diet very simple to follow..basically keep all foods under 5% fat which is easy to see when you're shopping.

I did Slimmimg World before and lost well but couldn't get my head round the fact that unlimited corned beef was good for you!!!

MrsMcJnr · 15/09/2006 11:28

Sorry JL2 meant to say, we have to have a life too don't we? We wouldn't want to change who we are and therefore, I reckon if you are out, you are allowed booze, mid week or not! Polish your halo again girl, you are doing a great job!

coggy · 15/09/2006 11:31

Awww! You think I'm a nice wife...thank you...let's hope DH does too!

There is an ulterier (?!) motive though I have to confess!!
I don't want to drink because it's BDing time and I don't want to be hungover, I also don't want everyone to think I'm not drinking cos I'm pg and if I pick up DH he might not get in such as state that we can't BD at this crucial time of the month!!!

Not quite such a good wife after all eh?
More like a sneaky wench who's after a bit!!!!!

MrsMcJnr · 15/09/2006 11:33

Corned beef - oh yuck! (think it looks too like my thighs for my liking ). Re did my measurements this morning and even though I am only 3 pounds lighter, I have lost 1 inch round my waist, 1 1/2 on my hips and 2 1/2 off my thighs! quite pleased with that! I haven't lost a thing off my boobs unfortunatley (I am a 32E) I am really scared about the effects of pregnancy on my boobs, my friends have been teasing me for years saying that I would fall over from the weight, do well endowed ladies also get bigger boobs?

coggy · 15/09/2006 11:36

FAB inch loss MrsMc - well done.

LOL at your boobs.....my friends said exactly the same to me!!
I was 30FF ....when I was pg they didn't grow massively....I went up to a 32G.....and now I'm back to a 32FF.

My 'milk came in' and my boobs started to go solid but only briefly as I took tablets to supress it....think I would have grown rather larger if that had been allowed to happen naturally!!!!
Definitely falling over mode!!!

MrsMcJnr · 15/09/2006 11:37

He, he sneaky wench! That's what we women are best at! Will you be collecting him in a raincoat with nothing on underneath?! (feel a bit pervy asking someone that on the internet - just a joke! )

DH has STILL got a sore back so I thought I'd better start spicing things up in time for next weeks 7 night marathon so I rented Basic Instinct 2 from Screen Select (they also have some more "specialist" DVDs too!) - it seemed to do the trick last night!

coggy · 15/09/2006 11:37

Do you get the Bravissimo catalogue?
It fantastic for bigger boobed women.

coggy · 15/09/2006 11:38

LOL at you!!!!

MrsMcJnr · 15/09/2006 11:39

Guess I'll be giving up high heels when I get pregnant then just in case I topple!

coggy · 15/09/2006 11:39

Indeed!!

Juicylucythe2nd · 15/09/2006 11:40

Ahh thanks MrsMJ. The trick I think (and I'm just starting to get there), is everything in moderation. Like you said - I too would normally fight for my half of the bottle, but am just trying at weekends (and the odd mid week slip!)NOT to get drunk everytime I socialise (which when all your friends are alcholics is no mean feat!)
So the plan for tonight and tomorrow night to drink in moderation and not to feel guilty about a couple of glasses of wine, but to keep it at just that, a couple. Then it's back on the wagon on Sunday.

Weigh in on Monday and I sneaked a look today - not hopeful!

coggy · 15/09/2006 11:42

Oh dear Juicy!!!
I'm off to work.....(well....lunch with a friend first ).........speak to you later.

MrsMcJnr · 15/09/2006 11:43

Oh yes love Bravissimo, especially their fitted shirts and bikinis. When I worked in Glasgow, a shop opened and it was great! Have to say though, I now prefer Figleaves for bikinis. I bought a white halter neck one for the day after our wedding as we had a beach party and bought my new name in diamontes and ironed it on the back of the bottoms! what a laugh! Had not thought it through though as now loads of people have photos of my big bum!!

Sorry everyone, Coggy and I have lots to say this morning!

MrsMcJnr · 15/09/2006 11:50

Have a nice lunch Coggy!

JL2, I know what you mean, most of my friends don't think they've had a good night unless they can't remember half of it! I have not been drunk or hung over for months now so I guess I am being more careful than I used to (or have a higher tolerance!) One of my friends said that she knew she was pregnant with her second baby (a happy mistake) when she could not get drunk no matter how much she'd drunk - it was her early warning signal that she'd also had with her first child!

I will join you back on our wagon on Monday - is it an old fashioned gypsy type with horses?

Juicylucythe2nd · 15/09/2006 11:52

That's ok. I obviously just don't type fast enough

I'm 32E too. Bravisimo sometimes looks abit matronly, don't you think? Debenhams now offer loads of undies for bigger boobed women. Some of it is v.sexy and worth a look and doesn't cost an arm and a leg!

Juicylucythe2nd · 15/09/2006 11:56

Our wagon is very colourful and has a great big sofa instead of the normal seat

MrsMcJnr · 15/09/2006 12:24

I agree about some of the underwear being matronly, the Freya and Charnos stuff is nice though. I have been into Debs and you are right, they hve some lovely stuff. I was bought some Elle Macpherson stuff for Xmas and whilst it looked gorgeous, it just fell apart (could not handle the strain!).

Ohhh, like the sound of our wagon with the sofa, seeing as our path is so bumpy, we would not want drinks on board as we may spill them on our lovely sofa! Oh and just in case you see me eating chocolate hob nobs on the Postive October thread - they are virtual ones!

MUST do so work soon
