Yup, did want the history!! It sounds very like mine (though was "curvy" pre Uni so I had a head start!) and like many I think, contentment can be a terrible thing!! I have muffin tops too! Maybe losing that weight was just what you needed to fall again - here's hoping!

Angsthase · 13/09/2006 15:35

Coggy, 11 1/2lbs - WOW!!!!

OK, so now we have the same amount to loose (ish), although I'd really like to get below 10St... but it sounds like you're on a roll!

Funny, I didn't think I looked any different when I was heavier - until I saw pictures once I was thinner OMG!!

Unfortunately spent all my twenties as a proper lardy, around the 13St mark. Ouch. Not pretty. But the beer tasted good. Big, but not clever LOL

Natty1806 · 13/09/2006 19:38

What a muffin tops (natty has a confused look on her face) ?

well done coggy 11.5 pounds that is excellent i bet you can see a difference {grin}

and thanks AH and Mrs for making me feel saintly - no sweeties in my hand today. Only another day to get through before weigh in and i must lose another pound. Only aiming for a pound a week otherwise i may lose 2-3 pounds and then get cocky and put it all back on plus more IYSWIM.

OP posts:
coggy · 13/09/2006 20:59

Natty...I can't really see the difference at the mo but that's probably because I focuss all my attention on my stomach and that's going to take MUCH MORE than 11 1/2 pounds to see any improvement!!!!

Fingers crossed for your weigh-in on Friday.
Muffin tops (so I found out yesterday!!) are the side rolls of fat/skin that are just under your bra and roll down so that they look like a muffin top.

Hmmm......haven't explained that at all well.............anyone else???

coggy · 13/09/2006 21:04

Okay...do you want to be depressed?????!!!

I just googles 'muffin tops' and this page came out on top.

If these women have to worry about having excess flab then I need to shoot myself now!!!!

Bad example of muffin tops for Natty to see!!!!

MrsMcJnr · 14/09/2006 09:48

I'm depressed too Coggy, that is positively lean compared to me! My tummy is my very worst bit, can't even stand to look at it, it makes jelly look solid.

Stayed the same last night which was a relief. I am going to be so good this week, promise! Here's to a good week ladies!

Juicylucythe2nd · 14/09/2006 09:49

Couldn't get it to work, found this one:

muffin tops

Looks like my bum in my fav jeans

MrsMcJnr · 14/09/2006 09:51

Have you been stalking me Angsthase? Must admit, I have not worn my jeans for a while! too incomfy!

MrsMcJnr · 14/09/2006 09:51

duh, uncomfy (losing the power of speech and spelling due to lack of alcohol!)

Juicylucythe2nd · 14/09/2006 09:59

It was that night of abstinence on Monday that did it MrsMJ

Well done for staying the same.

I only hope my saintlyhood brings some rewards come Monday!

Still very of Coggys aschievement. Want to know all your secrets.

coggy · 14/09/2006 10:06

Well done for staying the same MrsMc.
LOL at the stalking!!

I don't have that problem because I wear my jeans up to my armpits in the vain hope that it will all be covered up!!!!

I actually thought that the muffin tops were the saggy bits higher up under the braband.
Now I have another 'syndrome' to worry about.
Bingo wings.....muffin tops.....jelly belly......and the other flabby bit that I don't know what it's called now!!!!!!

My secret Juicy???
I wish I knew....oh I wish I knew........it's all a mystery to me this diet thing and the old ttc lark. [confused emoticon]

Juicylucythe2nd · 14/09/2006 10:16

Just re-read my post ascheivement what was I referring to! LOL.

You have obviously been better than you thought - maybe your subconscious is making your body get ready for a beanie

Know what you mean about the confusing nature of TTC. You think you're getting your head around it and bam your body throws you another curve ball

coggy · 14/09/2006 10:19

You could have got away with that dodgy spelling Juicy....I didn't even notice!!
Just read what I expected to be there!!!

My accents are all ropey...they all turn into the same after about 5 secs!!!!

Juicylucythe2nd · 14/09/2006 10:46

I can do scottish as my parents are scottish and geordie as DH is from there, but all the rest are a bit pants.

Oh, must update my confession list:
Alcohol: "My body is a temple" therefore day 3 of sobriety. Yippee
Food: Fruitsalad for BF, Be good to yourself meal for lunch and Rosemary conley for dinner.
Exercise: hm moving swiftly on...

MrsMcJnr · 14/09/2006 11:31

IhadacoupleofglassesofchampagnelastnightIamverysorrycouldnotresist.

There, sorry Angsthase, my neighbour brought round champagne and I had a glass and a half - I am useless, 1 dry day and I think I can indulge again. NO booze tonight - promise.

Food was ok: porridge with raisins for breakfast, ham & cheese sandwich (homemade) for lunch and salmon, new pots & broc for dinner.

Exercise: 40 min walk to slimming class and back. Wanted to go for a long walk tonight but it is chucking it down. Might go for a swim in the local pool before work tomorrow - we'll see.

I did however cook 2 meals in advance so I know that I won't eat bad things tonight or tomorrow night .

coggy · 14/09/2006 11:41

LOL at your fast talking MrsMC!!!!

Never say no to champagne is my motto!!!

Yesterday I had:
cereal (a bit of a sweet one )
Healthy Eating Tesco sandwich (no mayo & less than 300cals)
Bar-be-que sauced bacon chop (?!) with veges for tea.
And a carrot juice (with 8 carrots and it was YUCK!)
And a smoothie (with mango and banana and it was YUM!!!)

No wine for a couple of days..............

coggy · 14/09/2006 11:42

Also...VERY impressed with the old pre-cooking milarky there!!!!
How organised are you?!

MrsMcJnr · 14/09/2006 11:56

Hey Coggy - when do you think JL2 was going to own up to those virtual maltesers/minstrels?! Natty - you had a handful too I do believe!! .

I used to cook ahead a lot and always freeze two portions of each too. Need to get back into that as it worked out really well when I was busy (have to sneak freeze half the dinner whilst DH isn't looking or he objects - no concept of portion size!)I am quite organised normally but a bit erratic about food really.

Carrot is meant to be the only veg that you can mix with fruit without getting wind! On honeymoon we had carrot and pineapple juice in the morning and it tasted so much better than carrot alone - how about carrot and grapefruit juice? LOVE smoothies too, my fav is a mullerlite with a banana and berries (even better with a slug of vodka!!)

Juicylucythe2nd · 14/09/2006 12:00

Have to agree - never say no to Champagne. Plus all the supermodels drink Champagne and look at them!

I've sort of precooked for today and tomorrow (only really mine is leftovers from last nights dinner)!

Juicylucythe2nd · 14/09/2006 12:03

MrsMJ - step away from the Vodka bottle

While DH is away I find it really hard to find the motivation to cook atall. Cooking for one seems like too much effort. When I do manage it I cook enough for 4 and end up eating the same thing for a week LOL

coggy · 14/09/2006 12:16

That is our problem....I always used to cook for four but DH ate for 2 1/2 and then I'd have a stupid bit left over that wasn't really enough for anyone!!!

That vodka smootie sounds nice!!

I had carrot and orange the other day and it was lovely.
Thought I'd do carrot on it's own as I have about 20 carrots ( and 5 cucumbers and 25 onions if anyone has any suggestions??!!!) but the carrots on their own were truely gipping!!!

Hmmmm...yes.....those virtual choccies were going down rather easily yesterday weren't they??!!
LOL!

coggy · 14/09/2006 12:17

OOh - have you noticed that there is now a weigh-watchers banner at the bottom of our thread!!!

Spooky............................

Or do they read the threads and advertise appropriately????!!!!

coggy · 14/09/2006 12:22

Hey....me again.....

I've just remembered this!!!!

MrsMcJnr · 14/09/2006 12:29

Looks so good Coggy! My ticker has stopped!!

I would make a veg soup with those carrots and onions and pop some herbs like coriander in - calorie free lunches for the next few days!

I can see where you are coming from JL, when I lived alone, I couldn't be bothered to eat really which is not a great state of affairs but I was slimmer then!

Is spooky re the WW banner! If only I could get as addicted to the Scottish Slimmers website as I am to this one but it is not half as entertaining!

Natty1806 · 14/09/2006 17:00

Surley virtalc choc is okay???

Muffin tops every girl i know has them even the really skinny ones, it is the jeans not the body.

Have been good no booze yesterday i ate:

Choc weetos
3 rivitas with low fat soft cheese
WW cup a soup
Apple, Banana, plum
WW home made main minestone soup.

I better have lost now. x
