2ww just started - anyone else?

Hey, on the 2ww and looking for some support! Just changed onto a 40 day cycle so this has been a long time coming, not that hopeful though as even though we used OPKs we only DTD a couple of times during high fertile time because hubby feels the pressure and can't always perform lol still be nice to have some support. I would call this cycle 2 of officially trying so still early days.

That's a great idea sweetpea, I can understand your nerves, surely all the bad luck is behind you now, you've earnt it, will wait till weekend then to formerly congratulate you. You guys gonna join another thread then? Boo! Grin

Hi guys - can I join you? I'm reaching the end of my 2ww but I daren't poas yet. I can't bear the disappointment if it's BFN. I'm 14dpo. I think. I mean I did had the smiley face 15 and 16 days ago and DTD every day around then for four days.
But I'm 39. I've had 2 MCs in the the last 10 months. This is my 6th cycle ttc since the last MMC. I feel so cynical about it now. But at the same time can't stop feeling hopeful too - weird extremes.
Anyway - good luck everyone, am here to have hand held and to hold others too!
If AF hasn't arrived by the end of the weekend then i'll test.

Hi maybel, I'm with you on the cynicism front. I'm 38 so can't help hoping wildly but then it's been 15months with nothing, nada, zilch! Still, 14dpo sounds promising, and there's a bit of a bump-boom going on here so maybe it's catching!

How long dpo do you usually AF?

ginger, I think AF may have just arrived. Small amount of blood when wiped just now after pee. I'm just going to go and hide in a corner for a while. I don't know why I let myself get hopeful every month. F**k it.

Have you seen a fertility specialist at all ginger or are you just shagging and hoping for the best still?

I'll come back later after I've had a little weep.

I'm so sorry mabelmay, it doesn't matter what i say to myself, every month it's a bitter dissapointment. I can only offer Thanks and Wine. And junk food.

Yeah, been referred, have mild pcos with very irregular cycles so I'm on month 1 with clomid. With every little twinge I think could this be it, then I berate myself in an attempt not to get too optimistic but you do anyway.

Not from me, did a test yesterday, neg, but only 9dpo (is day 1 the day of positive opk test or would it be the next day?). How you feeling? X

Hi gingerbread i had the same question, I think it's the day after. I'm feeling okay thanks very nervous but so happy :-) no more symptoms yet.

Smile you booked your doc appt yet? Got my 7 dop bloods done yesterday, very interested in what they'll say.

Not yet I read they don't wanna know until your eight weeks gone? Need to call them on Tuesday anyway because I got bloods done Monday before I knew I was pregnant. I hope you get your BFP x

I think they'll want to register you on the system so to speak so you can get booked in for your first scan. Aww, so exciting for you. I hope it happens soon but feeling crampy...doesn't bode well Sad

Hi mabelmay nice to have you back! I'm 11/12 days dpo, got a bfn on fri (too early I know but was off to a wedding & wanted to indulge!). Little cramps started sat, thought af was on its way, then light brown (tmi?) spotting sun/mon. Sooooooo hoping its ib. Gonna poas tomorrow eeek!

This is ttc#1, cycle 15 so trying not to get hopes up but as you know, it's impossible!

How you feeling about a fresh month ttc? It's so hard when month after month it's a bfn.

gingerbread that sounds promising! Fingers tightly crossed for you. When is your AF actually due? Does it always come 14 dpo?

I feel okay about a fresh month ttc. But then the moment my AF arrives (as it has done the last 7 months, other than when I was PG twice last year, both ending in MC) I think - Okay, maybe I should get some help. I'm 39. But then once AF has gone I get in a more positive mood again and think "nope, no reason to feel negative. this is my month." But it never is! I know I'm ovulating okay and everything looks to be in order, except for mild endo, so we'll see....

Have you been doing or taking anything to help you along the ttc route?

Hopefully you won't be joining me in the early march BFP thread - I'll be watching this space carefully. Best of luck!

Oh, just saw gingerbread that you got your 7dpo bloods done this month. I had same last month and my progesterone levels were high, (well he said they were 8 point something, and I don't really know what that means but he seemed to think it was a good sign) - hope yours will be too.

Neg test but no AF yet, not feeling so optimistic now Sad. I usually get AF 11-13 since positive opk test so not late yet, guess just too much crazy symptom spotting!

My drs referred me to fertility specialist after 6mths ttc due to age. Also bloods were off but think this wax due to crazy cycles, up to 64 days! Had loads of tests which was actually quite comforting. Mild pcos, put on clomid to regulate my cycles to give me more bites at the cherry so to speak!

It may be an idea to get checked as if anythings slightly out there may be simple things they can do to help (like me).

Aww thanks bump and mabel. Speaking to others going through the same thing def helps.

Blood tests not back yet but will up date when in. Working till fri but being taken out for dinner to celebrate promotion, gonna have lots of Wine to compensate. The copious amount of cake is taking the edge off it. (Determined to try to stay optimistic)
