Hey, on the 2ww and looking for some support! Just changed onto a 40 day cycle so this has been a long time coming, not that hopeful though as even though we used OPKs we only DTD a couple of times during high fertile time because hubby feels the pressure and can't always perform lol still be nice to have some support. I would call this cycle 2 of officially trying so still early days.

Haha, I was so convinced I would be relaxed this time round. This is actually first cycle since I had my coil out so I will be such a lucky bastard if I'm pregnant.

My boobs look the same as pre-preg these days (DD is 15 months) so god knows what will happen.

I have promised myself I'll wait till the weekend to test! Period will be a week late then so there won't be any is-it-or-isn't-it …… fingers crossed.

Cakebaker35 · 21/01/2014 14:30

Weebairn, you have a 15mo and you've had sex nearly every day this month?! Are you super woman?! Grin

Claude, very very funny about maternity clothes!

We're all basically fruit cakes thanks to this TTC aren't we?!

welcome everyone new.

weebairn · 21/01/2014 14:36

No, just a nympho Grin

DD has taken to having 2.5 hour naps and DP works opposite and sometimes comes home for a lunch shag break Grin And she's pretty good at sleeping in the evenings. (Let's not discuss mornings...)

I am also a tired mess a lot of the time - really the opposite of superwoman - I definitely prioritise sex over housework!

I found my sex drive came back with a vengeance when I got my periods back around a year after birth. I don't know if it was a physical thing or psychological, knowing I could have another baby… took a while to persuade DP to let me take my coil out though, hah.

weebairn · 21/01/2014 14:42

How old is your child Cake?

TheMumfords · 21/01/2014 18:13

Hi Claudeekishi yes this is my first transfer.. and what a stress it is!! Where are you up to?? The maternity clothes thing is something I haven't done YET.. but I do tend to stalk mamas and Pappas and mothercare looking at Parma.. I swear I'm obsessed!! I've even joined all kinds of mailing lists..

BumpNGrind · 21/01/2014 18:59

Ooooh, i haven't even thought of joining mailing lists!! I'm not experiencing any symptoms this month so I cant even obsess over those-mailing lists may just have to fill that gap!!

rockstars12 · 21/01/2014 19:11

Ive been looking at ASOS pregnancy clothes too, and mentally baby shopping for everything I could possibly need.
I caved and POAS this morning despite the fact my AF isn't due til Monday, of course it was negative. I doubt i'll be able to resist trying again tomorrow, which means Ill have used up my expensive ones, still waiting for the cheapies to arrive in the post.
I have everything crossed that my af doesn't arrive this weekend.

TheMumfords · 21/01/2014 19:22

Email after email of the latest pram,, car seat,, sale,, tips.. you name it and I get them.. when signing up to the mamas & Pappas list in store,, the assistant asked all my details and then asked me if I knew my due date yet.. I just shook my head and mumbled not yet.. oh the shame.. I need to be locked up.. this was a month ago before I was even at this stage.. God knows whAt I will be like once I'm back in worm tomorrow aS I work in the city centre.. these shops are just to easily accessible on dinner breaks..

Bumpforme2014 · 21/01/2014 20:14

Hahaha oh my gosh I thought I was bad, been window shopping in mothercare since I was a teenager! More excited then my sister when she told me she was preggars - glad to know I'm not the only one who is mega broody out there :-) ! Only four days until I start testing, no symptoms at all, pretty sure I'm out this month but got my fertility monitor to look forward to next month :-)

Weebairn good for you, if you're DTD lots then you're sure to be upduffed soon, fingers crossed as you're already late so it is looking good Grin
my dd has just turned 2, starting to drop naps and having some epic tantrums so it's pretty tiring although she is of course fab too, don't want to sound like a totally ungrateful cow! My DH does long hours with a pretty long commute and is under loads of pressure at mo so DTD not always practical although we did our best this month! Didn't really get my sex drive back until I ditched breast feeding at 14 mo and thanks to a difficult f*cking terrifying labour ending in emcs I knew I wasn't mentally ready to TTC again until dd turned 2. So as impatient as I am, at least I've come to terms with things and am now desperate to get upduffed again!

Cakebaker35 · 21/01/2014 20:25

As for looking at maternity/baby stuff, I found myself looking at it all in mothercare today, shouldn't even have been in the bloody place as we didnt need anything!

I am determined not to poas before Saturday as it will just be a waste of time. Help keep me on the straight and narrow please!

Bumpforme2014 · 21/01/2014 20:35

Saturday is not that far away at all cakebaker, you can do it! Three more sleeps from tomorrow...any symptoms yet??

OP posts:
Bumpforme2014 · 21/01/2014 20:36

Also I'm too tired to DTD without a child so no idea how you guys manage it, still waiting for sex drive to return after coming off the pill!

Intended to talk to my cousin excitedly about trying for a baby again and ended up listening to a long rant about her 15 year old absolute nightmare of a child! My happy baby making bubble deflated.
Think im going to look at more baby stuff to cheer me up! lol

Cakebaker35 · 21/01/2014 21:32

Thanks bump! Been feeling bloated, massively grumpy and basically like AF is imminent Hmm but then I had zero symptoms when pregnant before so I cling onto that!
rockstars ha ha step away from the baby stuff!

rockstars12 · 21/01/2014 21:53

Cake I feel the same, I think AF coming, only difference so far is the absence of the usual absolute exhaustion and depression that comes in the lead up to AF.

RetroHippy · 21/01/2014 21:54

Hello all! 2ww started yesterday. I've got some super sensitive hpts (10mul or something) so I'm going to let myself test on the 31st. Going to be the longest 10 days ever! And I'll be symptom spotting like a crazy lady Grin

rockstars12 · 21/01/2014 22:03

Hi retro! I ordered those too, mine are still in the post, much to my crazy dismay, Im inclined to test every morning now til my af is due on Monday and I cant as I only have 1 left til the others arrive. Estimated delivery is Thursday to Monday!

newforest · 21/01/2014 22:16

Hi Mrsf, I used OPK for the first time this month and got a positive on day 10. I had obvious ovulation signs on day 12. I have a 28 day cycle. I always seem to ovulate around day 12.

There's nothing you can do to prevent the insanity during the tww. I've tried!

claudeekishi · 22/01/2014 06:22

Ok, just dtd there a little while ago and tmi tmi but when I went to the loo after there was pink blood. Never had this before. Period due in 4 or 5 days. Maybe it's coming early? Couldn't be implantation could it? Had a smear test 6 weeks ago and all was well!

weebairn · 22/01/2014 06:38

Cakebaker I found my labour extremely hard at the time but even though it was a long one I was very lucky that it was intervention free… I found I forgot about the bad points quite quickly. I am so sorry yours was so hard. Anecdotally I have heard so many people say how much easier 2nd baby was for them, even when the first labour was complicated. Would you have an ELCS?

I also thought my sex drive had gone forever and blamed breastfeeding -it was weird when it suddenly came back, with my periods. Hormones or something!

It's hard to know whether to whine about or celebrate our lovely little monsters eh!! I know exactly what you mean! My baby is brilliant and hilarious and adorable, but also whines nonstop and hasn't learned to talk yet so just points and SHOUTS until I do what she wants. She climbs on everything and throws all her food everywhere. Some days I just sit in the middle of the chaos sobbing Grin At least she naps!!

I work the tough, long-hours job of the two of us (just part time at the mo though thank god) - DP's job is easy going and literally across the road - so I get the high ground and he just does what I tell him :)

Bump Pill is rubbish isn't it. I came off it a few years ago now after 17 years on it and instantly lost a bit of weight, felt loads fitter, and sexier, etc etc… stupid hormones.

rockstarsthere's always plenty to whinge about with kids, but the good bits far far outweigh the bad!

I am having lots of achy cramps now. Could be period coming. Was like this last time I was pregnant though. Oooooh waiting is killing me. 4 days late now….

Bumpforme2014 · 22/01/2014 07:38

Claudeek it is difficult to say, I get that occasionally after DTD but don't really think anything of it because it could depend on position of cervix at the time! If AF not due for another five days then yes it could be implantation especially if you have never had that before? How many DPO are you?

OP posts:
MrsF2510 · 22/01/2014 07:41

Thanks newforest, that makes me feel better. I haven't used OPKs (since we started / for the last couple of months) as DH is keen that we just let it happen and enjoy trying but as a control freak, it's killing me not knowing whether I am getting the days all wrong. We DTD on cd5,8,11,12,15 and 17 so even if I ovulated around cd 19, I should still have a chance. I thought I had cramps on cd14 and 15) weren't as painful as last month so now I'm doubting myself!) What days did other 28/29 day cycles OV on?

claudeekishi · 22/01/2014 10:47

I think I'm 9dpo Bump. Thanks for your reply. I've never had this before but what you say about the position of the cervix makes sense. It's stopped now anyway. Back to waiting...

Pickles79 · 22/01/2014 12:26

I'm out ladies. AF arrived this morning, three days early just to shock me even more ha.
