Hey, on the 2ww and looking for some support! Just changed onto a 40 day cycle so this has been a long time coming, not that hopeful though as even though we used OPKs we only DTD a couple of times during high fertile time because hubby feels the pressure and can't always perform lol still be nice to have some support. I would call this cycle 2 of officially trying so still early days.

Oh no claudeekishi that sucks!! Why are people starting early, at least it hurrys the 2ww along, with my 40 day cycle I could be waiting until early Feb for AF :-( better luck next time. Prob see you next cycle.

Sorry to hear it Claude Sad good luck next month.

I did poas this a.m and got a very very faint line.....hmmm evaporation or positive, I just don't know! So going to get another test kit and try again tomorrow. V unsure.

cupoftchai · 25/01/2014 13:25

Hello all can I join? am not actually ttc but am on day 40 and got a negative test... this is doing my head in. Periods only came back 3 months ago (breastfeeding toddler) I guess it is possible for them to be irregular for the first while? I feel rubbish but not particularly premenstrual.

cupoftchai · 25/01/2014 13:26

(sorry should have said cycles were 28-34 days pre-preg, average 30, since preg have been 34 days)

Bumpforme2014 · 25/01/2014 14:55

Oohhhh cakebaker that is exciting, keep us posted tomorrow! I could have tested this morning but so convinced it would be a BFN I didn't want too. I am gonna try and hold out for AF but then it's weird as I'm hoping if I'm not preggars that AF comes by next weds or I'm having a 40 day cycle again which upsets me! Don't feel anything, no preg symptoms or AF symptoms... Dry skin has vanished and I'm still feeling very hot!

Welcome cup difficult one but I would say you are having a really long cycle, perhaps you didn't ovulate this month? If it's bFn after your missed period it does usually mean BFN I'm afraid.

Hi. Cake baker that sounds like a positive line!
Bump that does make sense and it actually helps 'hearing' from someone else how unlikely it is for a neg test at this stage to be anything but not preg. That's what the stats say! Still it is emotionally draining, trying to manage the hope/worry - in my case it would be a really bad time for us practically but lovely for dd to have a smaller age gap. Much more likely for me that is oddly long month than upduffed! Still I will not rest easy till I see af.

Cakebaker35 · 26/01/2014 13:26

Thank you, another poas this morning and definitely a line, faint but that's the 3rd one so I guess it really is real...hardly dare to believe it really. Lots of luck to everyone xxxx

cupoftchai · 26/01/2014 13:37

whoo hoo! congratulations!

claudeekishi · 26/01/2014 14:02

Ahhh congratulations cakebaker! It's real for sure!

Bumpforme2014 · 26/01/2014 14:30

Great news cakebaker !! Congratulations, any symptoms yet? I'm feeling a little down, did a test this morning (11dpo) and was negative. I wasn't going to do one but as I'm seeing doctor tomorrow thought I had better. Wish I knew when AF was due really don't want another long cycle but looks like the way it's going. Boobs very sore but that happened last month so AF will be here in a week I reckon :-(

Cakebaker35 · 26/01/2014 16:56

Thank you all so much. It doesn't feel real yet, those faint lines on preg tests are scary! But a line is a line and I keep telling myself 3 tests can't all be wrong! Will be getting a digi so I can see in words to convince myself, but I am sure it is v v v early days so who knows, anything could happen. No symptoms other than typical pmt grump and bloating, but I had none either with my dd so not too surprised. Very very very good luck to all still waiting and remember until AF arrives you're still in! X

weebairn · 26/01/2014 16:57

Cake baker - yay!!!!!! I am so thrilled for you. You don't sound like you actually believe it!

When do you think your due date is? I'm provisionally working on 27 September but my cycles are a bit irregular so not too sure.

Congrats :)

Cakebaker35 · 26/01/2014 18:22

Thank you weebairn! No it really doesn't feel real, I don't think it will until I go and buy a digi test that actually says it in words! I hardly dare think about due dates, but I would guess a week later than you xx

cupoftchai · 27/01/2014 08:31

Just an update- that's my af arrived on day 42 so at least it's an end to uncertainty! Must accustom myself to expect irregular cycles without turning into a complete loon. Good luck to the rest of u

weebairn · 27/01/2014 08:38

Sorry to hear it cupoftchai. :( That's a long period…

Do something nice for yourself today (and have a big glass of wine).

Gingerbreadlady1 · 27/01/2014 10:11

Hi ladies, can I join? Currently 5 days after ov, I have pcos & first month on clomid so not sure when due on. Keep manically checking diary like the complete nutter ive become trying to work out when likely to start. Congrats to those who got their bfp's!

Bumpforme2014 · 27/01/2014 11:10

Welcome gingerbread! You can wait with me, I am expecting AF not BFP unfortunately but AF is not due until 3 Feb if having another 40 day cycle.... Everyone else seems to be getting their answers while I just wait and wait and wait :-(

OP posts:
Gingerbreadlady1 · 27/01/2014 11:24

Thanks bump! I can relate to that, my longest cycle has been 64 days, it's the waiting that's the worst bit, extra time for your mind to go into overdrive! Bloody pcos is rubbish. Do you have pcos or just mega long cycles? I'm thinking if cycle behaves itself ill be around the 5th. Already trying to work out when ov will be next month lol!

Bumpforme2014 · 27/01/2014 11:29

Gingerbread 64 days noooooo I'm worried that could happen to me! I don't have pcos that I know of, my cycles went from 28 to 40 last cycle but I came off pill in sept so I'm blaming that. I am about to leave for doctors now actually because I am so worried about hormone levels as been feeling rubbish last few months. I believe before pill my cycles were regular with no cramping so I don't think I have pcos but it has crossed my mind.

SweetPeaPods · 27/01/2014 11:30

Can I join? AF due on 2nd. I've got a first response test left over from ds (still in date) that I'm debating with myself whether to test early or wait till af actually late, if it is late of course. I think if I test early I'll know either way but it's obviously not guaranteed.
Ds is nearly 8m, but we has a few issues falling pg with him so it would be a bit of a shock but a good shock.

Bumpforme2014 · 27/01/2014 11:33

Oh question, are you not ovulating hence long cycles and being on Clomid? I am pretty sure I am ovulating so I don't think long cycles are such a big issue?

OP posts:
Gingerbreadlady1 · 27/01/2014 11:36

Lol! sure you wont be that long. Hmm, I'd ask about it. I've been on the pill most if my life but when on a break from it cycles were regular. Until typically, when I came off ttc & periods mysteriously vanished. After a few months I was referred as old bird at over 35. Told I had pcos, I had no idea & no ther symptoms. Hence clomid, it regulates your cycle, could be worth asking about? No harm & if it is, there is lots of things that can be done. Good luck at drs !

Gingerbreadlady1 · 27/01/2014 11:38

I was also ovulating by myself, put on clomid to give me more cycles and therefore chances. It also regulates cycles and boosts hormones so they do what they should be when they should be (ooo, get me, sound like I know what I'm talking about, I'm an Internet searching conception knowledge junkie lol!)

Gingerbreadlady1 · 27/01/2014 11:42

Hi sweetPP. My advice would be wait, reason being a couple of months ago after odd cycle, at advice of drs, I tested early. 3 times in fact! 3 weak positives, then negatives. I had early m/c & I personally would rather not have known. Entirely personal choice obv', good luck if u go for it!

Bumpforme2014 · 27/01/2014 13:45

Thanks gingerbread! The doctor has referred me for blood tests to check all hormones since I am having 'irregular' cycles but she made clear that there is very little they are prepared to do until I have been TTC for a year. Was a bit vague when I asked about what they would do if hormones came back too low for example. She also said that since I ovulated on CD22 my period should be 14 days later which would be tomorrow or weds otherwise I am pregnant?!? I don't feel like AF is coming or that I'm pregnant only symptom is my boobs are so heavy and sore! Will get bloods done in morning as want answers ASAP did you get bloods done? I doubt they will give me clomid for a while I'm almost 30.
