Hi everyone my AF appeared on 3rd December, so got kicked off the December bus pretty early! But couldn't see a January bus yet!! My stats are TTC #2 cycle 5 Sad BFP due 8th Jan.

OP posts:
broodysnoopstie · 13/12/2013 08:37

Hello all welcome aboard the Jan bus Smile

wondercat07 · 13/12/2013 11:09

Ok, that's my AF out of the way, so we're off! Think we were having too much fun last few cycles, with dtd every day, clearly that hasnt worked out for us, so I'm planning on suggesting eod this time round Xmas Smile Poor dh! January does feel a long way away!!

cottonwool4brains · 13/12/2013 12:53

Hello can I join you on this bus?

TTC #2 cycle 10 bfp due Jan 10th

Fingers crossed for a lucky new year. Xxx

Feeling a bit desperate now.... Have been using an app to monitor ovulation etc up till now but nothing else. What does everyone else do? Thinking about temping or opinion? Not sure, DH not keen on either as he thinks I am obsessed enough as it is! Ha ha

Hazelbrowneyes · 13/12/2013 16:12

Hi all,

I'm due a smear test and have one booked for 13th January as that should be mid-cycle, however what if I fell pregnant around that time? I obviously wouldn't know I was pregnant and it'd literally be days...so will that be ok?

Sorry for the really stupid question Blush

I'm not sure what's going on with my body either. I have lots of pain in my left ovary today and stabbing pains in uterus so I thought maybe I was ovulating (by rights I should ovulate between 11th-16th according to the ovulation calculator on a standard 28 day cycle) but no EWCM. I'm so confused and really wishing I'd come off the pill a few months ago. Sad

bellaboo88 · 13/12/2013 16:24

Hello, id like a bfp ticket please!!!

Ttc #1 just on withdrawl bleed after coming off pill so hopefully bfp around 30th jan :-)

Not sure if were trying or not this month, bit nervous as i do become obsessive & my partner will freak out if i do! Hes very laid back compared to me.

Im happy other people on here are in same boat as me about coming off pill/muddled cycles etc, not alone.

I found around ov time on the pill id get pains in my side but i thought you didnt ovulate on pill?

Bellaboo x

wondercat07 · 13/12/2013 20:36

I don't really do anything either cotton. I keep a vague eye out for ov pains and then obsess a bit for the last week up to when I think AF is due... My dh would definitely be agreeing with yours there, too. It took us 10 months for dc1 to come along, so hopefully this will be your lucky month too Xmas Smile

KitKat1985 · 13/12/2013 22:40

Hello ladies! Was kicked off the December bus this morning by my first 'proper' period since coming off the pill, so thought I would get my ticket for the January bus! If it's any help to you ladies who have just come off the pill, that would make my first cycle 36 days long so be prepared for your first cycle to be a bit longer than what you may be used to. Was a bit gloomy this morning when AF turned off (kept hoping that because she hadn't turned up yet I may still be in with a chance despite the BFNs I kept getting), but focusing now on being able to have some Christmas drinkies and hopefully a January BFP! The good thing about AF arriving now is that (assuming a more regular length cycle this month) my fertile days should be roughly the same time as the days off me and DH have together over the Christmas period, so plenty of time for DTD. Good luck for everyone else on the January bus! Grin

KitKat1985 · 13/12/2013 22:42

Oh, and I should say, TTC #1, cycle 2, BFP due January 13th approx.

wondercat07 · 14/12/2013 05:35

Hello, up ridiculously early due to sleep-disturbed toddler, and cat! Welcome to all the new people - when I came off the pill b4 ds it took months for my cycle to regulate, sorry to say, but we got there in the end. On the other hand, plenty of people seem to settle down and get bfps quickly, so here's hoping you are all the lucky ones! hazel I think you'd be fine with the smear mid cycle, even if early days of pregnancy, it won't interfere with anything going on inside. But maybe let them know you are ttc when you go, and see what they say? I'm due one too, but worried about what I'd do if the result came back as 'needing treatment' and I was pregnant. Probably would want to wait, and then worry all through pregnancy, and so I think I might wait to do the smear altogether.. Pregnancy is worrying enough time as it is! What do you think?

Mistyautumn · 14/12/2013 10:20

Hi all. Can I jump on the bus please. Returning after a silent miscarriage found at 10 week scan (baby stopped growing at 8).

Have now had my first post mc AF and feel ready to start trying again. Mistyautumn, TTC 1, cycle 1, BFP 17th jan

Cherieblossom · 14/12/2013 14:23

Hello!
Ttc #3, cycle 2, BFP 6 January for me.

Sorry to hear about your loss mistyautumn, hopefully it won't take you long to conceive again.

Last month we weren't careful but not really trying (only dtd once at a fertile-ish time) but from now on DH and myself are going for it.

I guess the bubbly over Xmas should help us getting in the mood!

It is a good month to ttc as it is so busy with Xmas and stuff that I don't think I will have time to obsess over ttc or to symptom spot.

good luck to all x

ImaginaryHat · 14/12/2013 19:12

Ding ding, can I grab a ticket for the January bus too please Smile

To cut a (very) long story short Ive probably had two chemical pregnancies in a row in November and December, currently waiting for my blood tests to go back to negative, which I hope if its nothing more sinister, will be by the end of next week. So, if thats the case and af arrives on schedule next week then we will be able to start trying again.

ImaginaryHat ttc#1 cycle 8, bfp 19 Jan.

Misty I'm so sorry to hear your news, wishing you another bfp very soon.

Good luck to everyone aboard!

barmybunting · 14/12/2013 20:40

hi All,

Can I join please? I'm still hanging about on Dec bus after getting very faint lines last week, but bfn yesterday and spotting started today so I'm guessing it was a chemical pregnancy.

barmybunting ttc#1 cycle 3 bfp due Jan sometime I hope. This will be cycle 6 off pill and they are still all over the place, no idea what current cycle will do as its cd46 currently.

broodysnoopstie · 14/12/2013 21:12

hi Barmy sorry to see you on here been lurking on Dec bus seeing bfps and thought this month was yours! Welcome aboard though x

Monstersaurus · 15/12/2013 10:28

Hi all,
Room for one more? AF arrived today, so now hoping for a January BFP. Cycle #3, TTC#2.

Feeling quite sad today, but will have a glass of Wine tonight.

Lime19 · 15/12/2013 13:09

Hi ladies. I am feeling super down today. It's just not happening for us and I just can't see myself with a baby. I know loads of pregnant people at moment and whilst I'm trying hard to be happy I can't help but think when is it my turn. I almost feel competitive if that makes sense. I'm so fed up of being last. Feel like the worst person in the world :( worst still, people keep asking me if I'm pregnant!!! Just because I'm not drinking alcohol every bloody day does not mean I'm pregnant.

I feel like I'm just counting down days until I can get help from dr. Stupid stupid pcos. Every bit of positivity has left my body! I'm in a right bad mood. Can't be healthy for me and my relationship.

I just want to know will it happen naturally? Yes no??? If no lets move on to next thing! I can't stand not knowing!

There we have it, rant over. And I already feel better.

1974rach · 15/12/2013 15:29

Budge up everyone...
TTC #1 Cycle #1 AF arrived this morning.

Stopped taking the pill at the beginning of November so looking forward to making a Christmas baby Grin

broodysnoopstie · 15/12/2013 16:44

monster & lime sorry you are having a tough day. Wine Thanks for you xx

Lime19 · 15/12/2013 17:15

Thanks broody. I am fed up but I gotta keep going. Im gonna try not to get so anxious and nutty each month and me and mr lime are going to try treat ourselves each month, try and relax more! Give me something else to focus on. More date nights and in january a weekend away :) I think about babies at least once an hour. How sad is that!!!! I dream about getting a bfp and telling mr lime. Need to think of other stuff.

skybluegirl33 · 15/12/2013 19:57

Hello everyone, Just been kicked off the December bus so please may I have a ticket for the first bus departure of 2014?

I'm ttc #1, cycle 6, BFP due 10th Jan.

Anyone else's fertile time due over the festive period? I will be ovulating when we have all our family staying over for Christmas so not sure how to discreetly fit in dtd lots? Any ideas?

cottonwool4brains · 15/12/2013 20:06

Oh lime I know exactly how you feel. Fingers crossed for January for all of us. X
Sky blue I am in the same boat, staying at family members houses for the most fertile point.... Going to be difficult....

Kt1991 · 15/12/2013 20:09

Hello to all the newbies, sorry to those who AF got and very sorry to hear about the miscarriages and chemical pregnancies. Sorry I've not had chance to update stats can't do it on my phone!! Have had a busy weekend of celebrations for my sisters birthday, but I have a day off tomorrow so will concentrate on it properly then! Sorry of hear your feeling down lime I too keep feeling like that. Have you been to the drs at all to see if they can help? If I'm not pregnant this cycle I'm going to see of they can refer me for something for the PCOS and to help. It's hard not to stress about it isn't it!
skyblue I think I'm due to ovulate right over Xmas! But I've had lots of cramping on my left hand side last couple of days, so I'm not sure If I've ovulated early? I don't use anything to check as I was under the impression that with PCOS OPKs don't work? Also means my lutheal phase soul only be about 10 days this month, so surely that won't fertiliate an egg? I'm a confused by it all!!

Lime19 · 15/12/2013 20:22

Thanks kt. I have been to drs and he said I gotta try for 6 months at least. It would be a year but due to my pcos I can go get help sooner. I actually had a blood test last week to test thyroid. My hair has been falling out! :( might be coming of pill, might be pcos?! I mean I'm just shedding a bit more from my head. Results due next week. I'll wait til they come in and see what they say.

I've got guests over Xmas too! We BD once in a tent so we know we can be quiet if we try hard hehe!

skybluegirl33 · 15/12/2013 21:05

Kt - I've done temping and OPKS before over various months.I find that it keeps your mind on ttc too much and although some ladies like it,I prefer now to not over think everything. You are right that those with PCOS,
OPKs are not always accurate and can cause a lot of frustration. I have IBS so don't even think about abdominal cramps now as they can be digestive related and not necessarily hormonal.

Lime - You have nearly tempted me to sleep in our tent in the garden over Xmas. At least we can make as much noise out there as we'll be the only ones!

I'm lucky that I know my cycles are always 26/27 days and that I ovulate on cd 14/15. I tried not to count cd or dpo days last month and felt a lot better psychologically. This month I'm going to go with the flow and hope my pheromones will give off my fertile time to my DH and go with the flow! Funnily enough we've been a lot more relaxed about the whole process recently and it's definitely helped our relationship become even stronger. Fingers crossed for us all!
