okay I hope I'm not treading on anyone's toes but as the proud owner of a July AF I'm posting early. Any seconders for a BFP filled August are very welcome.

Is my bday in August so fingers crossed. And by my calculations my ov this month should tie in with dh's 30th birthday.

so paws crossed

Bobblehead - PMSL at 'have sex when told'!!

I am on CD6 today and it's getting to the end of AF and nearing time for another 2 weeks of mad baby dancing!

Hope it gets a bit cooler!

Thanks for the good wishes about my neighbour, I think you hit the nail bang on the head pendulum, so many worries on the way to and when you become a Mum.

muminamini · 20/07/2006 21:37

I think I have decided this is the month I am going to just 'see what happens' if no luck this month I'm joining you all temping etc - no idea how it all works tho!

Sexonlegs · 20/07/2006 21:50

Pendulum, lol at your recommendation of where to take temp from! I now have this horrific image in my head!

Can also relate to your comments re temp taking. As said earlier, I am reading "the book" and it talks about things that may effect temp, and there's quite a list.

I lead a wild lifestyle too, being in bed by 10.30. I am in fact having a late night tonight with BB not finshing until 10.50!

pussycatmomma · 20/07/2006 22:01

Good Evening everyone.......Just thought I would say my hellos and introduce myself yet again to ANOTHER "trying for a positive" thread. I have been staying away from mn for a while as i have been finding it harder and harder to manage.....ttc really is taking over my life.
But, am going through a particularly horrid time, my sis in middle of her 4th ivf cycle, and have just "welcomed" the arrival of yet another af
For some naive reason, really thought we had cracked it this month. Had all the sex, all the supposedly good days, been on a mini-break, all relaxed, and trying not to think about it, drunk gallons of grapefruit juice to help with cm, used pre-seed in case grapefruit juice not working, done the lying flat with cervix tilted a la arse on pillow for 40 mins after the deed, no alcohol and been treating my body as a temple.
and still af has arrived and no bfp for me.
Sorry to sound off, i just feel a bit at the end of my tether.
Also just read the July thread to catch up with ladies there, and in tears at the futility of it all, with some ladies having to deal with such heartbreak this month.
So now i feel doubly guilty
I really really hope we can all enjoy a more positive August.
Love and Babydust to all
xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Sexonlegs · 20/07/2006 22:08

Hello PCM, and how lovely to see you on mn again, although I know you and all of us would prefer to not be on the Conception thread.

I am really sorry that you are on a downer at the moment. It is all such a hard slog isn't it, and I know from previous threads that you have had a tough time of it all.

Anyway, here's to a positive August. What CD are you on? xx

bobblehead · 20/07/2006 22:12

PCM, I hope it is your month soon.

Does anyone notice the effects of the grapefruit juice and how much do you need to drink? Know what you mean about rivers of ewcm when younger SOL and now it seems barely a trickle (yet I'm sure I had more of it when waiting for af to show up a few months ago...)

Pendulum you had me laughing! Our poor dhs at the mo anyway nevermind having to perform if they watched us all with thermometers up our arses!

Just checked my scope and the battery seems to have died, as has my thermom, so thats out now although the temp thing always seemed a little complex to me anyway.

pussycatmomma · 20/07/2006 22:20

thanks sol & bobblehead........it does help to know there are others in similar situations, and sometimes we need to lean on each other a little more i guess.
My af began yesterday but proper "full on" today so i think i am counting this as day 1. I have only been going 22/23 days for the past few cycles.
like you bobbs, i always have found temp charting to be so complicated, so now dont bother. dont use the isiscope thing any more, (never got ferns ) and am not bothering with persona anymore.
I hope to see you both around for chats later on in the month.
Good luck x

bubblez · 21/07/2006 10:03

Hiya all,

I'm not sure if I should be joining this thread as I am on cd19 and am just playing the waiting game now. I will be testing on the 1st of August if AF doesn't appear. Do I qualify??

dejags · 21/07/2006 10:12

Can I join?

We haven't really been trying actively but have binned the pill (about 6 months ago) and about 6 weeks ago binned all other types of contraception.

I have two children (eldest is 5 and youngest is nearly 2) and would love a summer baby next year.

AF was due today so I tested and BFN. It's such a temptation to become completely absorbed by ttc. Can't believe how gutted I feel.

dejags · 21/07/2006 10:13

BTW - am currently on half way through a world tour with our two kids. I have to wonder if the body knows that we aren't settled, I wouldn't be surprised if I only fell pregnant when we get back.

Sexonlegs · 21/07/2006 12:38

Hi Bubblez, and welcome to August - I would say you qualify.
Hi to Dejags too - a World tour sounds fab. Where have you been/where have you left to visit?

Well, nothing much to report here. Af is still arsing about and not really in full force - sorry tmi - but I feel rotten - and soooo snappy! Poor dh got his head well bitten of this am!

Back later.

bubblez · 21/07/2006 12:55

Thank you SOL - Sorry to hear that your feeling grotty. I'm like a bear with a sore head around every AF and that is without the added presure of TTC.

Well now, seeing as I have been officially accepted I will introduce myself properly...

I'm 24, DP is 26 and we have DD1 who is 2.5. Have been lurking on the Positive July thread and posting on the Twenty something thread.

Spent the first week of this cycle trying to convince DP that we should try for no2 and (event though he hasn't officially said) the last few days bding without protection. BTW DP knew those were my most fertile days.

On CD19 now so I asume that it is just the waiting game.

Natty1806 · 21/07/2006 13:21

SOL - do a test, it sounds a bit funny your AF.

Sorry can't remember if this is your first month of trying?

bobblehead · 21/07/2006 13:29

Yes SOL test! We've been on at you nearly a week now!
Nothing going on for me, though dd did sleep right through for the first time ever (I of course did not and had to check on her at least twice as it is not normal for her not to want milk at some point!)

desperate2bmum · 21/07/2006 13:31

hiya all new comers
sounds like we could have a bfp....do a test sex on legs!!
i am on cd14 and at last did my ov stick this morning and got 2 lines...im oving yipeeee!!

laughalot · 21/07/2006 13:45

Hi just wanted to say a big welcome back to pussycat its nice to see your name back on again. Remember pussycat dont try to hard it happened for me when I wasnt thinking to much about it, I know its mega annoying when you get someone like me gobbing of when im pregnant and so many of you on here are trying for your little family but it will happen one day my fingers are firmly crossed xxxxxxxxxx for all of you. My tips are sex every other night and doggy style ........ Good luck

Sexonlegs · 21/07/2006 14:26

Ladies, I did a test yesterday, and it was negative. It is just so frustrating. Af has been threatening since the weekend, thought a couple of times this week that it was set to roll as had some bleeding - sorry!! Also, my boobs were agony. But BFN. No cramps either.
This was only our 3rd month of trying for number 2, so cannot complain by any means, but I hate this af arsing around business, cos I just want to get on with bd'ing!! Not that I am sex mad by any means!!!!

Natty1806 · 21/07/2006 14:31

Very strange, not sure what you body is at, shame about the BFN- hope you weren't too upset.
x

Sexonlegs · 21/07/2006 14:36

Natty, not upset at all, as I knew it was af. TMI ALERT...
Normally, my period starts and I have 1 or 2 heavy days and then a few lighter days, and that's it.
But, this time around, although I wasn't due until Wednesday/Thursday, I started spotting on Sunday, and would have expected the heavy day by now, but not happening. Perhaps my system is just changing. I think I am going to keep a calendar and details of what happens when - for ttc purposes, but also to understand what is happening and report to GP if needs be.

How are you doing?

Natty1806 · 21/07/2006 15:08

Yeah that is what mine is like when i have them, spotting for a day - not much though, then heavy for 2 days and then getting lighter for the following 3.

CD37 today - no signs of AF apart from a bloated belly, in a way hoping it hold out at least another 12 days so that i have my internal at the ferility clinic 'period free' and if they give me clomid i shouldn't have to wait too much longer as the longest gap between period was 70 days so fingers crossed it holds off for a while longer.

Hope that made sense, it did in my head anyway.

andi0411 · 21/07/2006 15:28

Hi ladies- I'm pretty new round here but I have posted a few times and value the info and help you all provide. Hope I'm welcome here as i have been TTC for 3 yrs and had a m/c on the 1 June.
BUT something odd has happened..I had what I thought was my 1st period after my m/c on the 5th july- it lasted for 3 days and i thought it short but put it down to the m/c etc.. Then on the 12th july i had smudging when i wiped myself- sorry if tmi- and this lasted for 2 or 3 days- that would have been cd7-9. I am now on what i believed to be cd17 and this morning the 10 -yes 10 - pg tests i ordered off ebay arrived. Could I resist doing one..? Could I hell and it came up faintly pos!!!! How come, could it be residual hormone left from the m/c...7-8 weeks ago? If my period was 5 July how could I show pg on day 17? Confused? Yup. Can't get hopes up as firstly I'm scared of hoping, scared of being pg after nightmare pg and m/c of twins at 12 weeks- they stopped dev at 6-7 weeks and just plain worried.
Any advice appreciated.
Thanks alot.

Natty1806 · 21/07/2006 16:33

Really not sure on this one - sorry, maybe someone else can help. Sorry to hear about your m/c fingers crossed if you are preg everything goes smoothly for you. x

Sexonlegs · 21/07/2006 17:24

Hi andi, I am afraid I can't offer any advise either, as fortunately I have never had to experience a m/c. It does seem quite a long time ago to still have residual hormone in your system, but maybe someone else can guide you on that.

In the meantime, I wish you well.

andi0411 · 21/07/2006 17:31

Thanks SOL and Natty- do you think I should open a thread to find out if anyone knows what the heck's going on?

bubblez · 21/07/2006 17:34

Hi andi - if I was you I would start a new thread asking if anyone else knows def...
