okay I hope I'm not treading on anyone's toes but as the proud owner of a July AF I'm posting early. Any seconders for a BFP filled August are very welcome.

Is my bday in August so fingers crossed. And by my calculations my ov this month should tie in with dh's 30th birthday.

so paws crossed

Oops... I meant farts obviously not harts

Natty1806 · 05/08/2006 09:52

Hi wantababynow

Not heard of clomid making people sick - just moody, bloated etc.

Over here in the UK i think it is normal practice to be put on clomid before metoforin so i think you are on stronger stuff.

Have you been diagnosed with PCOS?

Sorry to hear your newphew couldn't stay the whole weekend.

Fingers crossed this drug works for you, when is you appointment? Tuesday?

DD1ofcolandgerry · 05/08/2006 10:23

Wrighty, sorry about your news

SOL, loved the bd story in single bed. DH and I used to have that in his parents place and we had some laughs. Now have a nice king size when we go to stay.

Natty, I know how you feel. when my best friend told me she was preggers with number 2, i was all chuffed for her, but inside screaming I want a baby. When I got home I cried too. Take care

Im on CD26 of a usual 27/28, and on 1st clomid month. Been gettig crampy pains and headaches from evening of CD22.This isnt my usual form, so am hoping it has been implantation. (why do I do this to myself) Used crappy internet test this morning..bfn. Am not going to test again unless I reach CD29 (well Im going to try to stop myself!!)

baby dust to all

coggy · 05/08/2006 10:39

As I looked down at my underwear choice yesterday I realised that my fertile time was over!!!

Poor DH!!!!

(And yes Trace...I am talking about knickers again!!!!!! - BIG ones this time!!!)

Natty1806 · 05/08/2006 12:20

Fingers crossed for you DD1 hopefully you have just tested too early. x

Coggy - why not keep bding up until period keep you mind off the two week wait?

desperate2bmum · 05/08/2006 12:40

i am on cd 30 now still no sign of a/f getting slightly worried cos i never go over 28 days..and keep getting bfn with cheap ebay tests...have gone through 10 YES 10 in 6 days. am tempted to get a clear blue digital one for tomorrow morning. i dont feel preggers and dont feel a/f is coming what a bummer

Natty1806 · 05/08/2006 13:00

Sorry your feeling down, do you know when you ovulated?

coggy · 05/08/2006 14:46

Natty - I have to confess that we are anyway ...I just suddenly realised what I had done without thinking about it....wearing my old comfys now that BDing isn't so essential!!

Isn't that naughty??!!!

My 2 week wait isn't as drawn out as most people's cos I only have a nine or ten day wait...there are some benefits to this short luteal phase....just a shame it's a bugger to get pg with it!!

Desperate - I started a thread last month about 'Is it possible to menatlly put off your AF'. I was the same as you....usually pretty regular but two months ago only about 25days and then last month seemed to go on forever!!
It gets VERY frustrating then doesn't it cos you can't help getting your hopes up.

The general opinion is that stress/worry etc. can delay ov and so delay AF......like Natty said - do you know when you ov? If that was later this month then AF will change too.
Hope you get a good answer soon.
X

desperate2bmum · 05/08/2006 15:52

thats very strange being able to put your a/f off mentally this has never happened to me..
how long did it take for it to come? and did you go back to a normal cycle after?

coggy · 05/08/2006 16:01

I've found the thread for you and bumped it up for you to have a look through - see what you think.

I'm on CD21 today....last month was a lonbg one at about 32(ish) and the one before that was 25.

Normally a 27, 28, 29 girl.

Natty1806 · 05/08/2006 16:04

coggy -me thinks you need to change your name to knickers!

What cd are you on now?

have you still got one month of clomid left? Have you decided if you are going to up the does? At least if AF comes you can start using the fertility monitor.

x

coggy · 05/08/2006 16:06

I'm CD21 today - just found out that another very good friend of mine who was pg at the same time as me is expecting again...
Life is NOT fair!!!!

One more official month of clomid but I shall be going for another as I have plenty of tablets and the consultant said I could if I wanted!!!

I think I will be normal next month and have a mid-cycle scan and then, if the number of follicles is not too scary, up the dose the month after......I don't want those quads now do I??!!! LOL!

coggy · 05/08/2006 16:07

I'm liking the idea for a name change too!!!

Natty1806 · 05/08/2006 16:13

Are the scans internal? Think they are going to give me one on the first month of clomid to check it up after that i think it will just be the blood test.

Your right life is not fair sometimes i wonder if is this mother natures way of telling me i shouldn't have kids, or what have i done so bad in my life to deserve this.

...but then i pull myself together and think life throws things like this at us to make us stronger people and makes us who we are. I WILL have a baby i might just have a hiccups on the way.

My friend has not told me yet, which in a way is a good thing as i had a chance to cry about it to myself so that when she see's me and tells me i can be oh so happy for her. Which i am in away, cause if i do manage to get pregnant in the next few months we can go through some of it together which would be nice.

However i would love some of the ladies i have met on here to be due at the same time, cause i have built up some good internet friendships i think.

god i sound like a geek

Natty1806 · 05/08/2006 16:30

Forgot to say people on here have been through worse than me and i remind myself of that when i am having a down day.

desperate2bmum · 05/08/2006 16:44

thanks for that coggy...interesting reading.
im gonna have a few dayts to chill ut i think..catch up with you soon girls. dp also thinks i am obsessing too he has told me to chill. found out today we may be buying a house...im so excited because we will actually move into it instead of rent it out. bit if mind distraction

coggy · 05/08/2006 16:54

Natty - you don't sound like a geek (this coming from someone who has sounded like one MANY times here on MN!!!!!!)

I feel like I've made some very good cyber friends and if other people think that's sad then so be it!!
I would never talk to my friends the way I talk to people on here and actually, being on MN has made me much less embarrased about what I do say in RL!! Got to be good!! Although my friends may disagree!!!!!

Yes, internal scan mid-cycle - not pleasant but I want to know what's going on in there!!!!!

coggy · 05/08/2006 16:55

Desperate - you go and chill.....

Fab news about your new house-to-be.
It's excellent to have something else to concentrate on hey.

Natty1806 · 05/08/2006 17:05

Yeah desperate chill out for a bit, excellent news about the house.

Is the scan painfull? Or like a smear?

coggy · 05/08/2006 19:29

Uncomfortable rather than painful although sometimes they waggle it around and that can be almost on the painful side.

I just don't like the bit where it goes up inside you (TMI I know - but you did ask!!!).
I am hoping that since having my ds I have 'loosened up a bit'!!!

Sorry!!!!

WantAbabyNOW · 06/08/2006 03:47

Hi all,

Yup Natty, next appoint is on tues. Will also have smear test tomorro which is freaking me out as have never had one and what if on the very off chance was pg and something happened??? I think the metforin is doing its job as not only have been sick but have also lost 5 kg in a week.

Went through a whole bottle of red to myself last night. I am a very very bad girl!

On the upside I dont think we have bd so much since we got married.

Started temping too. I am sure when I tried this before that usual morning temp was about 36.45
I have noticed it going up to 36.75 and 36.8 so that in itself is kind of interesting as I never noticed it before.

Also felt odd pain in right side of abdomen a few days ago around the time that was seeing the fern patterns on maybe baby microscope. Probably reading way too much into this. especially since have not had af in at least 72 days, but my fngers are crossed and I am trying to work out in my head when the perfect time to get a bfp would be to maximise my leave time. I have 2 weeks hols every 10 weeks or so and then 6 weeks at end of year. Would also be entitled to 14 weeks paid leave and could buy myself another month or so off with the baby bonus.

Also starting to think about possibly trying a move to queensland when I go on leave and renting out the house we own......

Getting way ahead of myself here... I know.

I am determined to be pg by xmas though! I hope same for everyone on here too!!!!

Natty1806 · 06/08/2006 07:30

Wannababy - that's my goal in my head to be preg by Xmas, that will have been 18 months then but only probably about 4 months on clomid so will try and not be too disappointed if it doesn't happen.

5kg in a week - i wish i could lose weight like that but without the being sick.

Coggy - never tmi for me, it all helps. when i go for my smears they are are am tight in the nicest way so am sure i will find it very uncomfortable.

On the bding front on CD12 today and have not done it since CD9 as DP has been out a lot and we have not had chance. So as of tomorrow i am going to try a bit harder with him and not let him out the house without giving me a 'present'.

Seems to early for talk like this....off to drink my coffee and read the paper like normal people. LOL

wannaBe1974 · 06/08/2006 11:36

morning all

Wantababy sorry you've been feeling so sick. the bad news is that the 5 kg you've lost is probably mostly water and once you stop being sick it's likely you will put most if not all of it back on as your body re-hydrates. pain in side is common for ovulation, there are lots on here who get that

Natty I hope you achieve your goal of being pg by Christmas, hopefully the chlomid will help

well, cd23 here and I'm slightly confused. for the past week I've had very sore boobs, so I thought that af was going to arrive early as always get sore boobs when af due, now they're not sore any more which has confused me. Obviously unlikely to be pregnant due to dh sperm count so that's not even an option as far as I'm concerned, but wondering now if af is going to be late and frustrate me again, lol. Maybe it's just the exercise I've been doing that caused this - although it wasn't muscular type pain it was normal sore boobs before af type pain iyswim? Just hope af is on time this month, although even if not I have no intentions of testing due to unlikelyhood of being pg.

Natty1806 · 06/08/2006 11:38

Thanks wannabe.

How long are you cycles usually?

desperate2bmum · 06/08/2006 16:45

hiya girls

well a/f arrived this afternoon. so i shall now be loving and leaving you and joining the positive september thread.
i wish you alol the luck the rest of you for bfps and in the nicest possible way i hope not to see you on the next thread.
i am viewing the house tomorrow evening and really cannot wait...it would make the perfect family home.
this month i will not be monitoring ov, counting days or temping which i considered me and dp are going with the flow as he has said i am becoming obsessed and i have to agree.
i am feeling bad because we have been put so many months behind because of my m/c im beginning to wish i never fell pregnant in the first place.
anyway wishing you all the luck in the world girls
happy bding
