Hi

Think AF is on her way (fingers crossed) as i normally have 48-70 cycles this will be my first one at 34/35 days - yippee.

It probably won't happen now, anyway feel free to write away.

Good morning to everyone! I am copying my post from the clomid gang thread... I am feeling a bit lazy!

I am not going to be counting cd days anymore. Was up to cd 85 yesterday and could not stay off the loo so decided to test a day early. and............ EBFP!!!!!!!!!!!

New term--- enormous big fat positive.

It was great using the clear blue digital as I would have been stressed out about the lines. Could not believe it though! Was crying my eyes out and phoned dh and said' hi daddy'. He did not believe it either.

Spent yesterday on the phone to the hospital trying to find out if I should continue metformin and trying to find my medicare card.. which dh had all along. Saw my gp yesterday and she confirmed everything. Am approx one month, so 9 to go! Will be going back to the gp on Mon or Tues. I think will be having an ultrasound in 2 weeks also to test for down sydrome.

I AM SO EXCITED! If I can get a bfp after no period for god knows how long, then you will all get yours I am sure.

I have had that stretching feeling also. I guess it wasnt ov pains the other week after all. I was even pg when I had that horrible smear test done, even though the day after it showed up bfn.

Wow. I have no idea what I am doing! LMAO

Baby dust and my very best wishes to all you wonderful ladies!

Natty1806 · 19/08/2006 08:58

Natty1806 · 19/08/2006 20:36

How are things with you?

OP posts:
Xavielli · 19/08/2006 21:10

Yeah doing really well at the moment! Both bubba's are round and bouncy... Dressed them up yesterday.. there is a pic in the profiles section... soooo funny.

DD isn't a tiny baby anymore... getting broody again... Damn mother nature! Can't she give me a break!?!?

Glad things have started moving for you Natty! Twins due in June then! Will pray on it

WantAbabyNOW · 20/08/2006 09:40

Thanks Xav, now there will be someone to use all that lovely boori furniture!

Natty1806 · 20/08/2006 10:22

X- think i saw them yesterday was it the solidor and his pig?? LOL

They are brilliant.

broody again, think maybe DP would want you to get married first? then onto baby no 3? How many do you want in total?

I would love 4 but in reality i will prob be 2 due to finances but we will see.

Yeah put that order in for me for June as June is my birthday but not too sure about the twins though.

Hi to everyone else.

OP posts:
Xavielli · 20/08/2006 23:03

lol trust me Natty... when you have done it twice and still want 2 more ('we' want 4 in total, I used the term we loosely.. DP would keep going til we dropped! lol) you'll be begging for twins... thats what I'm putting my order in for next time! lol.

Yes, we will get married first. I am happy with my little family as it is at the moment. Enough to be going along with me thinks. Gunna wait til these two have been shipped off to school to go for the twins

BTW WABN, been looking out for the jungle jacket from PP etc... I can't find it anywhere, not even on eBay I am very that you have a sleigh bed for your wee one!

Xavielli · 20/08/2006 23:03

Oh and yes... the soldier and his pig are my little angels! lol

Natty1806 · 21/08/2006 14:25

OP posts:
Xavielli · 21/08/2006 17:41

Xavielli · 22/08/2006 19:27

Sorry Natty, got snowed under last night with DIY.. Oh the joys!

I figure I may aswell just post it on here.

Big stuff first;

Cot/Cotbed. - £60-£200 (I got a cotbed off ebay, brand new Hauck mickey mouse design £110... Lasts til they are 5 yo.) You can get Moses basket for about £70 with a stand, they are cute but a real waste of money to be honest.. only get about 3 months use, max.(Having said that, they are good if you like the idea of the baby laying flat when downstairs/at other peoples houses.) Cot sheets are about £10 for a pair in mothercare.

Pushchair - £50-£300 (I have the sherpa Urban Detour 3 wheel travel system from mothercare, was £295 new.. can get them new off ebay now for around £80!Most buggies come with a change back and raincover etc. It is a wonderful buggy. There is so much range though.. I found it the hardest thing to pick)

Steriliser - £35 (Thats the Avent Steam steriliser... very good, half way doing Babyno2's bottles.)

Bouncychair - £30 (Preferably one with handles for screaming trips to the lavvy etc) Great once the baby has out grown the moses basket and is getting nosey.

Smaller stuff;

6 x Sleepsuits - £20 depending on where you buy them... thats a rough mothercare price.

bodysuits/vests - £10-12 They come in packs of 7. Great if it is cold as an extra layer. DD was an April baby so has spent all summer in just bodysuits, good buy all round.

2 x little outfits - £30 I wouldnt recommend any more than this because when they are born people will give you soooooo many little outfits that they will just be forgotten. Sleepsuits are much easier for the first few weeks, the amount of puke and leeky poop they get on them is unreal. I say 2 outfits, just for visiting family.

Jacket - £10-15 Get one no matter when it is due, they need to be yummed up all warm! get a little pair of gloves too, or scratch mitts.. they only stay on for 5 mins but they keep their little fingers warm. mitts are about £1 for 2 pairs.

changemat - £7

BIBS!!!!!!!!!! - £5 per 4 roughly. Honestly... you can never have enough bibs. I'd put one on DP if he'd let me! lol

socks - £4 per 5 pairs in mothercare.

little hat - £3

Nappies - £14 for 2 economy Pampers newborn packs. This will probably be all you need.. they grow sooo fast.

cottonwool - £2 for about 300 yards of the stuff. For first nappy changes and freshen up wash, washing their eyes etc.

Bottles - £13 For 6 which is a good number to have, its about what you will use a day, If you bottle feed of course. Boobs are much handier! lol

Blankets - £3-£10 each.... I'd get about 3 (poop and puke reasons) as everyone else will get loads too.

I can't think of any other real necessitities at the moment... If anything else comes to mind I'll let you know. Loads of things you think run of the mill for babies are actually luxuries!

Natty1806 · 22/08/2006 19:44

Thanks, so if i managed to save £1000 that should cover it? With the bonucy chair can you put them in as a new born? Also did you put yours in bigs cots when you brought them home? If you had a pram could you put them to sleep in that in the day if you wanted them in the front room with you?

think the washing machine will be on twice a day rather than the usual once.

sorry i have loads of questions maybe i should buy a book. LOL

Not too sure about breast feeding as i would like DP to do at least one night feed to start with but i know breast is best.

OP posts:
Xavielli · 22/08/2006 21:49

I bottle fed both of mine, we all know breast is best but do what is best for you.

I had a moses basket when mine were tiny, only because my sisters son had just out grown it. Pushchair would be fine in the day time, you don't tend to want to put them down anyway! lol

Nearly all bouncy chairs are suitible from birth I have This one and I love it! Lays flat and sits right up for weaning etc.

Xavielli · 22/08/2006 21:51

P.S... You will never believe the amount of washing a small baby can cause!!!!!

endlesslove · 23/08/2006 15:09
