Ladies, Fred title says it all; we are the ones who shag as much as our men can cope with in order to get upduffed without the stress of scientific whatnots!

Fred rules (copied from previous Fred)

  1. Thou shalt shag as much as humanly possible in order to get upduffed.
  2. Thou shalt not partake of OPKs, temping, or charting.
  3. Thou shalt keep symptom spotting to a minimum.
  4. Thou shalt share and with your fredmates where needed.

JSing lingo;

ERTD = Evil Red Tide of Dooooooommmmmmm. Or AF to most others.

Pant snot = Egg white cervical mucus.

Doing a kitten = Getting upduffed soon after joining (warning: may induce Envy in other posters).

Viroid = This is you, dear poster. This is from the first JS thread when someone tried to type 'ladies' and it autocorrected to 'Viroids' - so there you go!

POAS = Pee On A Stick (of the pregnancy detecting kind, not from a tree). Also known as PIAR (Pee In A Ramekin - cos we're posh birds innit). Or PIATLH (Tea light holder) PIAWG (Wine glass) or anything else you care to pee in!

Shagging like something = JSing like a teenage nymphomaniac.

Giving a hooya = Giving a much needed slap to a fellow poster in danger of slipping into ttc obsession.

Contraband = Of COURSE none of us EVER partake of any silly OPKs or temp charting. They are Contraband.

Happy shagging shaggers!

have everything crossed for you downstairs report back tomorrow!

just googles smep and that's pretty much what we've done this cycle without knowing we were following a plan. Twotting here now.

dp changes his mind like the weather and said yesterday if I wasn't pg soonish he was using all our baby savings to get our drive extended. he was joking or so I flaming hope!

DulcetMoans · 04/08/2013 12:21

Ooooo fx downstairs! Just whether you can hold out until the morning now!

I bought some seven seas TTC pills today, it's got the frolic and some B6 in it I think so maybe that will help? ERTD on the way out now, cape due to be unpacked tomorrow I think. It's lacy this month to match my wedding dress!

Alohomora · 04/08/2013 12:25

downstairs hooray, I agree, go out and splurge on one of those early digital ones! I have everything crossed for you!

I had a really disturbing dream last night, we had a baby and I was breastfeeding and all but kept on forgetting to do stuff, but then it turned into our cocker spaniel when she was a small puppy and I said to my other half "this isn't really right, we should've waited until we had a proper baby.". Shock Bah.

Redshoes56 · 04/08/2013 15:46

That is exciting downstairs!! Keep us posted!

aloho that is disturbing but kind of funny. Our minds do terrible things to us in the night! Maybe the takeaway is you've been a great dog mom and that will help you when the baby comes?

I have this recurring dream where I'm working out of a different office with this extremely vast desk that I have to literally crawl across to reach simple things like pens, and paper. Stressed, much? Last night I also dreamt I was chasing a frog, trying to capture him in an old shoebox. What the hell does that mean?! LOL

lil I also had a short visit from AF this month - two and a half days or so. It's definitely been shorter since going off the pill, but that was exceptionally short!

PrincessKitKat · 04/08/2013 16:28

How exciting Downstairs! A line is a line, but can't wait to see if you feel more reassured tomorrow!

Dulcet, I'm excited for you too! Weddings are the best. Are you ready or is there much left to do?

Curly86 · 04/08/2013 16:41

downstairs how exciting a line is a line! I'm so pleased for you!

All my OPKs have been negative and I wee on them in the afternoon about 5pm when I get in from work, I think it's just my really long cycle, hoping I ovulate next weekend, OH is now working away for a few days

I'm tracking the cm and I order a BBT thermometer; just hope I am ovulating and my hormone isn't strong enough like you say!

Oh Downstairs.
The orange unicorn (does s/he have a name?!) does not like to be kept in suspense...!

DulcetMoans · 04/08/2013 20:39

Thanks princess. It's getting there, cutting and sticking a lot this weekend and a but panic-y but I think it's ok overall.

How odd so many of you had short visits this month. Wonder if cycles will get aligned from hanging around here! Lol.

ChocChaffinch · 04/08/2013 20:51

fingers x'd downstairs Grin

Nessalina · 04/08/2013 22:51

Hey viroids, been AWOL for a few days up at the Edinburgh Festival! Smile
Really excited for you Downstairs, sounds veeeery good indeed!!! Fx for good news when you get back!
I'm in the TWOT right now, so all's quiet on the Ness front, but pretty sure we didn't DTD enough for a BFP Hmm
FYI, those doing naughty OPKs, I used them this month and last much good it's doing me! and both months I got my surge on a late test, 10-11pm. I started doing twice a day, 5pm then bedtime, and I only got one positive each month which was on a late, the afternoon ones before & after it were quite a bit fainter. Worth trying different times a day to make sure you catch it. And then actually DTD not that I'm still annoyed with my DH or anything grrrr Wink

AuntieMaggie · 04/08/2013 23:07

I'm back after a social weekend and grumpy. After on/off light bleeding all week AF is well and truly here ffs. I have no idea what my body is doing. I just want to sit in bed and eat junk and get drunk...

Downstairs you tease... will keep fx.

Hope everyone is ok and has a good week ahead

pizzaqueen · 05/08/2013 08:36

morning viriods. Is anyone on this thread not using contraband?

guilty of it myself

fifi669 · 05/08/2013 09:53

pizza I have been JSing all this time bought contraband for this cycle, hoping it will help me identify signs of icing though we have regular sex throughout the month so not sure if there is any point in OPKs for us?

AuntieMaggie · 05/08/2013 10:02

Me pizza - don't think I could cope with that at the mo!

Minion · 05/08/2013 10:19

Morning shaggers!
Congrats downstairs I'm excited to see how it's all gone on when you come back.
pizza, I'm not using contraband per se, but am tracking using an app
fat lot of good it's done me tbh
ERTD has fooked off so now it's back to shag central when work loosen their reins on me a little. Night flights don't help bah!
Nowt new except the house move has moved on. Weve set up our survey so waiting to see of we are sinking every penny we have into a money pit or a home. Very exciting but makes me sick to the stomach every time I think of the fact I've been allowed to spend nearly a quarter of a million!
Shocking!

Just a q, girls.
Does anyone have this niggling doubt that you're infertile?
I'm really freKing out some times, I've never had a pg scare and its taking me an age to get upduffed considering I've had sex all at the right times,, very frustrating I know.
And I know there's ppl who've been trying a heck of a lot longer and still have no answers for their inability to conceive and there's no reason why I, or them could/are/may be infertile... It's just a niggling doubt... Anyone else?
X

EssieSaysRelax · 05/08/2013 12:47

Hi viroids.

Hope everyone had a nice weekend.

Minion, yes. It's probably my biggest fear and one which I sometimes think I ought to prepare my head for incase it's a reality. Probably sounds like I'm being melodramatic, but I've always had this doubt that I'll ever have children. Having said that though, I'm going to give it a bloody good try for now and try and be optimistic. I guess with my history of cervical problems, plus my Mum's ultra early menopause, and several years house sharing with a friend who failed to conceive after 6 attempts at IVF and then her DH buggered off and left her, its probably no surprise it's a worry of mine, but I reckon anyone who doesn't do a kitten probably has the same anxiety. Hmm If I'm not upduff by cycle 12 though I'm going straight to GP and not wasting any more precious time.

pizza, I ought to be using contraband as I keep telling myself I need to, but in truth, the few times I have, it hasn't made any different to when we shag or not, so no, generally I don't bother! I am committed to the JSing cause! (for now!)

quark and lil, the work thing on Fri was ok. Glad it was done. The person in question was understandably upset but did take it quite well. I still felt shit.

downstairs - AMAZING news! Can't wait for the update on Thurs!

I'm CD8, ERTD dragged out a bit but has been gone for a couple of days, but today I've got loads of blood stained EWCM. No shagging has occured since ERTD. Gawd knows whats going on with my body.

Love to all you other lovely shaggers.

Alohomora · 05/08/2013 13:54

minion yes, totally - I had very early, regular like clockwork periods, but late teens/early twenties my periods stayed away for list if the year and twice a year I'd bleed so badly for ten days I couldn't leave the house. My doctor did frequent ultrasounds and my ovaries looked ok, and in the last 5-6 years my perios have been very regular hen not on Cerazette - bit there is a lingering doubt.

Hence doing one month of opks and charting just to make sure I am actually ovulating - then it's back to jsing for me!

Alohomora · 05/08/2013 13:55

Sorry, that was just littered with spelling mistakes!

DulcetMoans · 05/08/2013 14:13

Minion - I think the longer it takes the harder it is to not start considering that possibility. Same as essie though, I will keep optimistic and get help at the earliest reasonably opportunity. If there is a problem I don't want to leave it too late to find out!

Pizza - JSing here! Although I probably break the other rules. I do test too early and I do use period tracker but not just for TTC, for my own knowledge of what to expect!

EssieSaysRelax · 05/08/2013 15:18

I've got cramps now too! On CD8? WTF?

OP posts:
AuntieMaggie · 05/08/2013 15:41

Me as well minion. Infertility may be an issue for me because of pcos and other health issues, as may increased risk of mc. But staying hopeful at this point (except for this damn period - none of the usual cramps but I am bleeding heavily. ) None of my circle of friends have had problems conceiving so sods law I will be the one!

Redshoes56 · 05/08/2013 16:57

downstairs definitely was the ever so sinister AF, unfortunately; there's no way anything survived that short but relentless "tide." Sad It's been well over a year since quitting the pill. I think my body just likes to make sure I'm paying attention by throwing a curveball at me every once in awhile.

And yes, minion, I am also worried that I'm infertile. I wouldn't say terrified or convinced, but definitely worried. I'm sure I'll know more - and hopefully feel more positive - after the first visit with the specialist next Thursday. One silver lining is that my husband just started a new job and we are switching to his health insurance plan, which covers infertility treatments pretty much 100 percent, compared to my plan which would have covered us pretty much 0 percent. So good timing there. I feel a little less worried going in, knowing that I won't have to sell a kidney to fix my uterus.
