Hello nutters
Fedup how many dpo are you?
I was also thinking of poas today and am only 4dpo!!! Thankfully I talked myself out of it and am going to wait until at least Monday when I'll be 8! I have also used an opk as a test...thank god i thought it was just me doing mad things like that.
Welcome miss. I am the same, it was so easy the first time that this time every month I get slightly more psychotic!
Good luck

BartBaby · 25/07/2013 15:22

Welcome miss that could have been written about me lol. Its good to know were all in the same nutty boat.

Im still not symptom spotting so i havent noticed my feeling sick or my sore and really really itchy boobs!

Asda have the first response tests in at £6 for a 2 pack. Only just managed to drag myself away from them before dh caught me looking Grin although i think i may have forgotton something and will need to go back tomorrow while he is at work Hmm

2beornot · 25/07/2013 15:49

fedup this is the perfect time to POAS because there's a slight chance it'll be positive but a BFN just means a BFN for now! You can still get your hopes up.

miss welcome!! Always room for more nutters. I feel normal with you lots around!!

2beornot · 25/07/2013 15:50

Oh and boots must've stopped the bogof offer now. I went it to buy a few even though I'm only on cd5!!!

fedupofrainydays · 25/07/2013 16:13

oh god bart - asda doing a bargain deal on FR!! dont tell me that! my nearest adsa is a while away but who is going to stop me driving over in the middle of the night to the 24hr one when DH asleep? (i'm not actually THAT nutty yet). I did giggle at the thought of your 'forgotten' item though.

Welcome miss, i too conceived first cycle with DS and after MMC in Feb (also conceived on first cycle) I'm still TTC DC 2. and with each month i get closer to being sectioned and spending my life savings on stupid sticks, pregnacare and preseed. Oh and this month i also bought cough medicine as heard it was good at producing more fertile CM.

muzzy i think i'm 6 or 7 dpo. And its worse because i'm at home today. if i was at work i would have better self control. Come monday i reckon i'll crack as also at home without DH's beady eye!

2be thats pretty impressive, attempting ot purchase on CD 5. But i did actually buy some CB digitals whilst af was visiting - but they were on offer and it'd be rude not to!

muzzy1 · 25/07/2013 17:00

Sorry fedup but I really Grin at the cough medicine! Is that true? I might go get me some of that!
I think I'm worse at work as there is a superdrug right near the office. They must see me coming and think here comes the nutter again for more tests!

muzzy1 · 25/07/2013 17:03

I hadn't thought of it like that 2be... But it's very true. You can poas and still have hope!
There is nothing worse than doing it when you know you should get a positive and don't.

fedupofrainydays · 25/07/2013 17:24

well i thought it was true.... i def had more CM when i took it this month! but then couldn't decide whether it meant i was 'flushing' it out as basically it works as a decongestant for your cervix as it does for your nose!

Right - off to gym bbefore i pick up DS but i'm not going to run JIC i dislodge anything trying to implant

dildoos · 25/07/2013 17:58

Good evening crazy ladies how are we all?
A warm welcome miss!
Well today I am an official nutter but for another reason!
I looked after my dd5 and her friend, my best friends dd 7 , a little boy I look after on Thursdays anyway aged 22 mths and my neice 10 mths so yes calculations make that 2 babies and 3 school age lol I am mental!!!
Xx

StoneBaby · 25/07/2013 19:30

Tell me about been nutter! I still have hopes I'' get a BFP despites 4 negs one so far! But as af is still not here, I guess that's why I'm still hoping (and I'm convinced my symptoms are increasing Hmm ).

Welcome miss we're all nutters but a great support group to each others.

dildoos how are you doing today?

dildoos · 25/07/2013 19:34

I feel better as this period was not as heavy as usually are so that's a positive , I am feeling slightly jealous of Kate and wills but they deserve happiness too.
I am now day 3 so another 25 ish before can test lol but let's face it will start next week lol!
You are late now stone however have read people do take over a week late for a bfp so have everything crossed got you xx

onelittlepiglet · 25/07/2013 19:57

Yes everything crossed for you stone! When are you planning to test again?

Glad you are feeling a bit better dildoos. It is good having support here as sometimes it feels like it takes over your life and it can be hard to explain to people. I'm going to try positive thinking this month (very unlike me...) and see if it does any good!

I'm distracting myself from only being on cd6 by potty training dd! We are on day 6 and she appears to have nailed wees in the potty (although asks to go about every ten minutes at some points in the day...). She hasn't white mastered poos yet but we will get there. She loves wearing big girl pants and seems to be able to hold wee in for a very long time...much longer than me!

StoneBaby · 25/07/2013 21:22

one I actually don't know when I'll test again. I have to admit that another BFN will destroy upset me. I think we did ir right this month by dtd on the opk smiley but who knows what's my body is doing. I guess that the next time I walk pass my local Boots I may buy more tests!

So who's nearly the end of their 2ww? We need other BFP!!! Grin

misshoohaa · 25/07/2013 22:10

Thank you for the welcome! Thanks
Piglet - we're on toilet training too, DS is great when free willy style with no pants on, put undies on him and it goes out the window. Also he did a huge poo on the floor whilst in mid conversation with me today, despite having done one on the toilet an hour before? Random kids.

What's everyone's advice on OPK's do they help keep the torment of desperately checking CM at bay? Not actually expecting them to help get up the duff, more looking for sanity saving techniques other than wine.....

muzzy1 · 25/07/2013 22:25

I usually use opks but this month I tried to relax...yes that's right relax who the f### was I kidding and not use them but I think it made me worse! But I'm not very good at checking cm as don't get much. Now I'm just left wondering if and when I ovulated. I'll be back on them next month!

getagoldtoof · 25/07/2013 22:27

Hey hoohah! Nice to have another nutter on board. I gave up with opks, as I never worked out if the line was dark enough. I actually have a bag of about 50 if you (or anyone) wants me to send them. They're a cheaper way to try to detect your surge, but sometimes a surge doesn't necessarily tell you you've ovulated. Still, you are welcome to them if you'd like me to send them.

We're doing potty training too. Those acts must go together- potty training child one while trying for child two.

Stone, fingers and toes crossed for you. Is your period often late?

Tobeornot, that's my logic, too. A positive is a positve and a negative, well, it's just too early to have caught the positive... either way I keep my hopes up!

Fedup, I have read about the cough medicine, going to try that next cycle . Its the guarnafarsin (whatever it's called!) one, isn't it.

Dildoos, baby stuff is all over the place - no wonder your feeling sensitive.

Muzzy, just tell yourself how good all the superdrug reward points will be!

Thanks for the asda tip Bart.

I wasn't planning on going to epu today as had been advised, due to most recent preg test being lighter but they called me at lunchtime to ask me to come in for blood tests. They will give results tomorrow over the phone. I feel a bit conflicted over this, I just want it all to go away now. What will the blood test tell me? If my hcg was 15 at 5 weeks, I don't think there will be good news.

onelittlepiglet · 25/07/2013 22:48

Hi hoohah and welcome! Yes I have started using opks. Only tried them last month. Like geta says it does help to show the surge but doesn't necessarily mean you will ovulate. I found them useful, although obviously it didn't work last month!

Geta - I really hope your results are ok tomorrow. I can't imagine what you are feeling right now but this limbo is horrible for you. Big hug for you tomorrow no matter what the results are. Xx

AbiBub · 25/07/2013 23:01

Hey you lovely nutters!! How are you all?

Stone, soooo still keeping my pinkies crossef for you for bfp, with our ds I didnt show a very faint line till 6weeks6days so I still have hope for you! Also as symptoms feel stronger im hoping thats a good sign too! And if your goibg past a boots it would be rude not to make a purchase. I never got on with the frer tests or cb one's. This time round I used superdrugs own as it has low detection hcg of 10miu plus they normally do deals on those too! :0)

Miss- welcome to the nutters thread! These ladies are super lovely and we're on all the same wave length too which is fabby! Our ds did the whole poo thing in his pants when we toilet trained him! He very much liked free willy but put pants on and he just used to wee! We got there in the end! He didnt like the potty so we bought a new toilet seat that has a smaller one magneted to the lid, so when the lo needs to go thry can just pull their seat down which rests on top of the normal one! Its really sturdy and great for little bots!! One of the best purchases we have made!

So im keeping my fx for all either waiting or dtd or waiting for af to bugger off that all goes to plan and there are mire bfps on here! I did another poas this morning and I think it came up a little darker, I have put picks of first snd second tests on my profile to spur you lovely ladies on, namely because I know you can do it, because you all care so much about the whole process! ! Im still on tender hooks atm as still so early! I wish I could do a test everyday to put my mind at rest. So very nervous down to previous chem pgs I think I will do another in just under a week.

Quick question! Am a bit confused on how to work out number of cycle days. Cd1 is the first day of af, my last cycle had been 32 because my af was due on the 32day, but if it comes on that 32cd you then start at cd1 on that day . Because of that does that mean that my cd are actually 31, because af came on the 32cd (which then starts it off at number one again!!?) Or does it mean my cycle dayd are 32? I hope that actually makes senses?! Confused my cycles have not be a set amount since jan so chop and changed a bit!! Oh gosh im babbling now!! Sorry! x

onelittlepiglet · 25/07/2013 23:33

Abi - I realised exactly the same thing the other day. I thought my cycles were about 29 days but they are 28 because you don't count the day that AF shows up! I always have.... So cd1 is when AF starts and the last day of your cycle is the day before she shows up again. So yes, I think your cycles are 31 days long. Hope this makes sense!

AbiBub · 25/07/2013 23:46

Yep that makes perfect sense one thank you very much!! Thought I was going even more nutty!! Just stood up and got some horrid stabby pains on left hand side, got a bit if nausea too Sad I hope this isnt going to be another cp. :0/

fedupofrainydays · 26/07/2013 07:19

Yep, you are 31 day cycles! I got confused with this two when I thought I was 25 days then it looked liked 26 but realised 26 was cd 1!!
Oh abi hope you are ok - I had pains with both my pregnancies. Try not to worry, although appreciate that's near impossible. Big hugs and hope this little one is ok in there and just having a stretch as it grows xxxx

I'm dreading the day I have to potty train ds! I literally take his nappy off and he wees everywhere so think we are a whole off!

Got another NCT email last night, this time about when should we do the kiddies party given so the majority are due their second baby on or around the first ones bday. I wish it wasnt but everytime something happens like this it's a massive slap in the face and I feel so sad for us again that we aren't there too. I'd be 7.5 months pregnant now if it wasn't for mc. Sad

geta hope all is ok and you get some concrete answers soon. Yes I used robutisson or whatever it's called as it had the G whatever ingredient!

stone POAS yet?!?! Fx.

2b so get that logic, think that's def why i POAS so early!!still chance for bfp!

Sooo tempted to go to superdrug and pick up and hpt. Cheaper than fr and by sounds of things super sensitive! someone stop me

Im also and opk fan miss as indulges my POAS urge for part of my cycle and like muzzy I don't think I could stop them now as it does help to know roughly when ov'ing and that smiley face (I use cb digital) is almost a bit exciting something to cheer me up in the face of multiple bfns and know I would stress without it. Cb have me hooked and spending a fortune!!

Af due in a week for me, so not too long now.

Ninunina · 26/07/2013 08:08

Good morning lovely ladies, it's Friday Grin Grin Grin Grin
Abi try not to worry too much about pains. They are quite normal in early pregnancy. You've started off well by having a strong bfp so hopefully you're out of cp territory.
fedup how old is your little one? Mine is 1y8m and also pees and poos everywhere when I try to get her to use the potty. She likes to sit on the toilet when she sees me on it. .. but hasn't quite figured out what to do once on it. I'm going to give it a couple of months and try again.

I find the superdrug tests very good and sensitive. I had gone a bit test mad with my last pregnancy and found them very good (better than clearblue and as good as First response). In fact it was on my shopping list of things for dh to buy when he went to the UK a couple of days ago. He came back with 8 tests so I think my POAS obsession is going to be very alive this month. I'm on CD7 and not really symptom spotting yet. The only thing I've noticed was slightly painful hard nipples yesterday, but that could be anything really. I'm not feeling overly confident this month despite having done SMEP pretty much to the letter.

fedupofrainydays · 26/07/2013 08:24

Ds is also 1 yr 8 months! Tbh we are miles off potty training!!

Right, I'm so hitting superdrug! Literally got one 5 mins walk away - DANGER! I decided to POAS this morn but an opk just to help me not obsess about it all day. It's a bit like nicorette for someone addicted to smoking! Ha ha. But now I thought it was very neg opk so that clearly means bfn! I'm such a nut case.

AbiBub · 26/07/2013 08:29

Fedup - thank you thats actually put my mind at rest a bit. Its been so long since I was pg last I cant remember what it feels like!! The superdrug tests are fabby, im so tempted to get some more just to keep an eye on it allof course

Well based on a 31cd and my date of last af bubba would be due on April fools day!!

Im keeping all fx for a bfp in a weeks time for you! ! :0)

AbiBub · 26/07/2013 08:33

Crossed posts! Thank you Ninu, that actually really helps, you kinda forget what it was like before and I didnt diary entry like I do now so not much to look back on!! Keeping all fx for about a weeks time for you too!

Stone- how you getting on? :0)
