No symptom spotting here either, as after I have hopefully done the food shop I will be having a sneaky tia maria and coke in celebration of getting rid of our car and getting a different one all in the space of a couple of days!!

Im not sure which cycle day im on. Ive successfully managed to avoid my calander counting, and no opk's. Although i think iv should be somewhere between now and tuesday so im about a week behind most of you. But so far this month we have no little swimmers up there! So im not holding out much hope. Is it just me or is this hot weather causing problems for anyone else trying to dtd?! Hoping to be more successful tomorrow as that will be our only chance this month as dh away from monday this week.

Anyways i hope you are all having a good weekend. And that the 2ww isnt dragging too much. We had an unexpected night out at a friends last night and far too much alcohol was consumed so i havent felt too good today. But still managed to have a nice day out looking round the shops with my sister and a pizza hut lunch!

I'm now 7dpo and temp has dropped and stayed down now for two days so I think I'm pretty much out this month. I feel very disheartened as we tried hard this month but I just know - I can feel - it's not happened. AF due a week today and I am sure she will show up on time.

Ho hum. Roll on next month and we will just have to try again.

bart I know what you mean about the heat, when its this unbearable you dont really want to add to the temp with dtd right!! Fx you get a session in this evening thought

In the 2ww now af due around the 22nd july, so I guess its just a wait and see. Not check temps etc this time round so slap me if I talk of considering it

one I know how you feel. We gave it our all last month and was devastated when af arrived. Plus I'm pretty sure my ttc friend is up duffed as she's gone all quiet. Pleased for her but also makes me more desperate for me! But it's still a week til af is due so not over yet!

Has anyone had the blood test to check you are ovulating? When cd's are these tests?

He fed up - thank you. I am very grumpy at the moment which is a classic pre AF symptom for me so I'm sure she will be along on Friday/sat! I spent some time recently with a friend who was visiting who is 7months pg now and actually it was lovely to talk about babies and things but I also got a bit sad worrying that it won't happen for us.

I am also wondering if I am ovulating...my temps this month have been so low. Had another one under the cover line this morning and the ones above the cover line have all only been around 0.05C over so not by much at all. I think that if next month is unlucky again I might start looking into the blood tests. Can you pay for them privately I wonder? It would be good to have just to set my mind at rest or show if this is the problem.

One - if I remember rightly the temp rise is only supposed to be by about 0.5 higher than base libe temp anyway. I hope this puts your mind at rest :0) x

Ah thanks abi but I mean 0.05 not 0.5 degrees. So my cover line is 36.25 and my supposed post ov temps range from 36.49 to the lowest which is today at 36.15 so not good really! Normal they are much higher than this so think it's a dud month.

Hello can I join? I am ttc #2 we've just done cycle one. It's nearly killed me as I got a BFP, felt all smug it had happened first time, and then came on my period. I was devastated. I will take another test later this week as they were getting darker, but think it's over this month for me.

So, I will go back to temping this month, I don't start until cd 6/7.

I have also decided to cut out the evening breastfeed leaving my son with only one bf a day. It has been sad to give this up, as we didn't really want to, but can't bear the thought that this may be the cause of the chemical. Anyone know if this likely?

Gosh I've gone on, obviously not had a chance to talk about it in real life...! Looking forward to hearing about your attempts at getting pregnant w number 2!

Welcome getagold, sorry I don't really know but gut instinct tells me this is not the reason as women do breast feed two siblings years apart so guessing they would be feeding whilst pregnant?
However bleed wise is it a normal for you bleed? I bled like period bleeding through first preg and she is 5 however I have had 3 mcs but I always hold hope! Good luck and fx xx

Welcome getagold it could be possible that you are still pg as like dildoos said some people do bleed throughout. I cant say for definate about the breastfeeding, but i wouldnt think that would affect anything. There are a few breastfeeding threads within the conception topic maybe someone on there will have a better idea. I would be testing everyday to check the lines! thats the nutty side of me coming out FX for you

dildoos i started with the poas last month at about 9dpo so thats not really any better. Its probably just too early for you and you are still in with as much of a chance as you were.

one sorry i cant help you much with the temping im not being much help to anyone tonight am i?! lol Have you used opk's? I know they detect the surge before ov, rather than ov itself, but it could be a good indication. I hope af doesnt arrive for you.

Abi we managed to dtd last night so at least we are still in with a chance even if it is only a small chance good luck for the rest of the 2ww.

My hangover has been and gone now thanks fedup although i think ive had an ear infection or something, just to keep me feeling ill and crappy. and aswell as not being able to sleep properly because of the ridiculous heat in our bedroom, i now cant sleep on my left side because of the ear so its been a nightmare getting comfy

I am 3 or 4 do now I think. Have my second blood test on Thursday (21dpo). Have done OK with DTD this month but it's so hot! And I have been I'll since Sunday morning - hopefully got enough in before then because I feel dog rough now, so no hope. Sore throat, hugely snotty, chills and fever, yay for summer

Sorry you are poorly too Bart it sucks in this weather!

Thanks all. I haven't poas since sun as I'm on a family holiday and needed to avoid the heartache. Trust me - I am a ttc nutter. Wish I could keep it in check, but not at all able to! Will be poas as soon as I walk through my front door!

Oh dear well my third dip below the cover line today so ff has changed my crosshairs to dotted and said I'd might not have ovulated! I am 10 dpo though and I feel like AF is on her way - had cramps and last night just wanted to stuff my face with crips and chocolate so those are fairly classic signs! Expecting her Friday or Saturday I think.

Dh has been ill with a bit of a cold this week so glad it wasn't out DTD week! I've told him he needs to get better as in two weeks (or there abouts) he needs to be fighting fit and ready. He looked a bit worried but then later said he was looking forward to it and said we should really go for it so that's good!

dildo naughty! Too early to POAS! Are you holding out now? I can't really talk as I POAS 4 days into af this month jic. As I was feeling sick, sore boobs still etc - kind of forgot I probably had sunstroke!! Nutter.

getagold I can imagine how hideous that is. Elation i will leave out the smugness but get what you mean, swiftly followed by the devastation. But I reckon there is still a chance and you have just had some breakthrough bleeding. I really don't think breastfeeding has anything to do with it. But I'm no doctor. I think bf just helps as a contraceptive but only if you are exclusively breastfeeding for first six months of their life. Don't blame that / give it up just for ttc if its something you and dc want to continue.

So.... Cd 9 here and positive opk this morn. Wtf?! It's normally been cd 12 for last few months apart from one at cd 10 when had really short cycle. Any thoughts? Read somewhere that early ov = bag eggs so already counting myself out this month. On the plus side, it's means a shorter shagathon this month!

fedup could you get another +opk in the bext few days - doesn't the body prepare a couple of times sometimes before releasing the egg? They never work for me, never get a +.

I poas tonight when I got home - bleeding now finished so had what felt like a normal period. I got a much stronger + line. I feel like a nutter. Going to the epau in the norning. Hoping for the best.
