penguin!! Nooo!!! What a pisser. Well like they say, it's not over til the fat lady sings and I am well and truly keeping my gob shut

I've spent the day at Gay Pride in Plymouth doing a stall for the salon I rent a room in. Lots of fun and some very interesting sights! The guy that owns the salon does a drag act and was introducing all the acts crazy world I now find myself in and I've squeezed in a couple of cheeky pints of cider as AF seems to be on her way!

Just checking in, have skimmed the thread but haven't been on in ages, it took a while! Congrats rainbow on your news!

DH hadn't wanted to try for a couple of months as he is still out of work, but after we got our hopes up last month after a lateish AF he has said we should go for it this month - which I am worried about with the work thing but as it is the summer hols and I should be more relaxed, I think we will TTC this month at least. If I did get a BFP I would be due the same time as DD - which was nightmare of a time in terms of school to be off as around exams etc and I teach a practical subject so I am hoping the law of sod will work in my favour...

We are off to Norfolk camping for a week or so this coming week, we haven't planned anything or booked, we will just see where we fancy going - which is an upside of DH being off, plus the fact he can get all the jobs done on the house that have been waiting since DD was born. Plus being away means more chance to DTD but with DD in a tent it could be difficult! Will have to wait till she is asleep.

I am not using OPK's this month either, just because I ran out and haven't got around to ordering more. Will see how it goes just by my symptoms and dates as I am very regular.

Good luck to everyone, I am trying to wean myself off MN whilst away but I am sure I will be using my phone to check the thread..

My spotting has started again so 99.9% sure AF is parking up!

Just had my monthly cry, same old shit going round my brain...I'm so old to be trying for my first (nearly 36), what if I never have a child, why won't my body do what it was put on this earth to do, I'd only have 11 weeks left if my body hadn't hit 'reject', I resent my younger sister for saying they're thinking about a third DC when I started trying (with ex hubby) before they did on their first, I wish I could just 'relax' and I'd fall pregnant, I feel mean when someone who already has a child (who invariably fell pg within a month or so) tries to sympathise as they are 'struggling' on month 3 and feel wretched about it as I have no sympathy and I want to scream 'well at least you are a mum, be grateful!!!'.

I'll be ok again in a couple of days, I just really thought we'd nailed it this month.

Omg sal, feels like I could have written your last post, I really sympathise with you. I'm also trying for my first at 36, I have a younger sister with a six year old DC who breezed through pregnancy, and I feel really mean but I struggle to be happy at anyone's pregnancy or baby news - unless I know they have also had a hard time getting there like the ladies on this thread, in which case I feel sisterly solidarity!

I also keep thinking this is my punishment for putting my career first for so long and being on the pill for 15 years.

But let's keep our chins up - we will all get there eventually

Hi guys..... I'm a oldish member returning with some posifrickintivity!!! I'm not sure how many of you are left but those of you that are still here may like to know that not only am I back on feet, I get married in four weeks....,, and with all the planning totally forgot about TTC. You can imagine my shock after devouring a fish salad and feeling someone nauseous especially as I adore fish... Sooooo as I had a test left in the cupboard I thought I'd give it a go.... Big Strong BFP!!!

I know how frustrating it is when people disappear from here and never return and I understand how soul destroying the TTC journey is, I just wanted to give someone a light at the end of their tunnel, let's hope it's a sticky bean ;)

Hey fod. Course we remember you. Delighted you've got your bfp and really glad alls ok! Congratulations. Do you have any guestimate at all about how far on you ate? Come over to the grads thread if you fancy. How are the wedding preparations coming on?

You're not mean for feeling mean Sal. I had an absolute hissy fit when my bf announced her pregnancy after my mc (and she did it perfectly nicely). I just don't think it's possible to help the mixed feelings when you want something so bad. It will happen.

Penguin - I've completely been there re. feeling that I've put my career first. Just remember that once your kids get bigger they'll have an ace role model in you!

Still got lots to do cam mainly invest in non alcoholic wine for the reception lol, I'm guessing I'm a week as AF is due to arrive the 28th

will post this here rather than new thread - sal god only knows when af is due. I have stupidly long luteal phases due to my hormones being all over the place; I've had a few 28 day lps in the past so I expect I'm in for another one of those. I'm 19 dpo today. Have read on mc association website that women with irregular cycles are more likely to mc, so I am also blaming myself for all this.

The fact that you're in your mid 30s shouldn't be causing all this. And you didnt put your career first - you were building a future for your family. I could've popped one out at 19 when I first met dh and my fertility was perfect but we wouldn't have made very good parents. You made decisions based on what you thought was best and you have been very unlucky, but that's not your fault.
