OP posts:
triplespin · 12/07/2013 08:50

Morning ladies - good luck for today, hoping we have some BFPs !

alyant79 · 12/07/2013 08:52

morning all.
did anyone POAS? I did (like fedup i like any excuse to POAS), and it was neg of course. And then about 5 min later more evidence of AF's imminent arrival appeared. Typical.

sorry to hear that DH is away at the critical time emki. What a poo!

fedupofrainydays · 12/07/2013 09:34

Poo. Sorry aly that af is en route. Hope you are ok. Hugs. I would say wine but its a tad early for that, even by my standards.
Af is being a right bitch to me this month. Second night of bed sheet leaking (sorry tmi). Why can't she just F off?

alyant79 · 12/07/2013 09:47

oh fedup there's nothing worse than bed sheet leaking. urgh.

i'm alright thanks. was really feeling down yesterday but i've accepted it today for the moment. my silver lining is awesome and tonight me and dh are going to drink some bubbly to celebrate a raise he just got at work.
I refuse to let this ttc game get me down :)

chins up all! we will ALL get there in the end

Trinpy · 12/07/2013 10:42

Sorry to hear that aly.

Hope someone will have some good news today to keep us all positive.

RainbowConnections · 12/07/2013 10:43

Sorry Aly. Sounds like you have lots of good things on the go. Latitude looks amazing. And camping with AF out of the way will be a plus.

Fedup AF sounds miserable. Hope you have something cheery lined up for the weekend.

Misspositivity · 12/07/2013 10:57

alyant sorry more signs of AF. Evil!!! What did your temps do this morning out of interest. Excellent news on dH raise. Some retail therapy def in order.
emki. Glad to hear you back. I have missed you. Project desperate allows to use twins I think.

Anyone else poas. I did this morning at 9dpo. Neg surprise surprise. Due tues so wait and see what happens.

Emki · 12/07/2013 12:00

aly sorry for the bfn but you are an inspiration to me! Hope you have a really good night tonight xx

Hello missp and sorry AF is being a real bitch this month fedup

I have OV cramps today (I think) dh due home today .... Just maybe we might not waste a month .... Xxxx

alyant79 · 12/07/2013 12:00

my temps were almost identical to yesterday. so they are still higher than they were before ov but I can only assume that they will continue to drop.

af defo here now. bitch! This means a cycle of only 23 days which is the shortest i've ever had since i started recording. bah. they had been slowly lengthening since the mc i thought.

alyant79 · 12/07/2013 12:02

oh emki that's good news.

missp I hope this month treats you better than me! bfn at 9dpo is nothing to worry about. it'd be a miracle to get a bfp

Misspositivity · 12/07/2013 12:16

thanks alyant. It's crap all this isn't it. Not holding out much hope for myself This month but there is always next month.

Hope everyone has lovely day in the sun xx

SaggyOldClothCatPuss · 12/07/2013 13:11

Well you can carry my BFP over to today! I tried so hard to hold out! I'm sorry! Sad

fedupofrainydays · 12/07/2013 13:58

No more POAS? Come on... I know you are out there.

So my retail therapy for af arrival was underwear. After ds my boobs shrunk to smaller than they were pre pregnancy and also like deflated balloons When I stopped breastfeeding I bought three very expensive new bras and said to DH that I wasn't going to buy any more until we had dc #2 when i assumed my boobs would change shape and grow again. Well, those bras are pretty darn manky now and not exactly enticing DH to DTD so I treated myself to some nice new ones! Manky stuff now in the bin. Along with a good knicker drawer clear out it was really quite therapeutic! I'm not very good with matchy sets as you can tell but at least all the fraying, grey and holey items are gone!

alyant79 · 12/07/2013 14:59

oh fedup that's a great idea. I really really really need some new bras too.

emki i'm not quite sure why i'm an inspiration to you it's obviously not for a bfp ability, but thanks for saying it!

triplespin · 12/07/2013 15:30

alayant sorry to hear that but at least you have something to look forward to over the weekend and more temping to spot the next ov date !

hopefully next friday will be a better one for those of us on the thread. have a lovely weekend.

Emki · 12/07/2013 18:51

aly cos you are so positive and full of beans and always say the right things to people - hope you have a lovely evening with dh

Retail therapy is definitely a good idea !

alyant79 · 12/07/2013 20:33

Champagne!! What every good Friday evening needs.

Emki · 12/07/2013 21:12

ks78 hugs to you - and good luck next week x

alyant79 · 12/07/2013 21:54

Ks78 do your co-workers know why you were off? I found it good going back as it stopped me sitting at home stewing over everything, but at the same time hardly anyone knew why I'd been off (2 weeks only). So on my first day back a few people asked if I'd had a bad flu. I mumbled in answer that it was a bit worse than that, but couldn't say more or I'd've cried. In hindsight I wish I'd told them what had happened, as I then felt that I'd been through something awful but wasn't getting credit for it. If you know what I mean. Silly I know.
I kind of wish it had been acknowledged, but not dwelt on.My boss did good, he's a really untactful German guy who usually puts his foot in everything, but he said just the right things. I reckon his wife coached him ;)

Anyway good luck and I'm sure you'll be fine

Emki I'm blushing.

Hi kata!! I like the smelly fish

Penguinita · 13/07/2013 00:23

Hi all, I've been out of it for a while due to mad busyness at work and lots of sunshine out of work. Checking in to see the POAS results - massive congrats saggy! You've been so supportive of all of us on here, you really deserve such great news! But have a haddock slap all the same Grin

I'm officially on CD19 and in the 2ww, but my temps don't seem to be suggesting ovulation yet. I suppose things might be a bit messed up still following the MC. We DTD lots recently, but DH is now away for 5 days. I did briefly consider suggesting the syringe method to him, but I thought he might never come back if I did Grin

fedupofrainydays · 13/07/2013 07:27

Morning, ready for hottest day of the year?!

ks78 I think aly advice re telling work makes good sense. I debated making something up but didnt have the energy/ know how long it was going to go on for / didn't want the stress of continuing a story so I told my team. They've been good and not told the rest of the (smallish) company I work for apart from HR and the MD. but i understand why they needed too. i was worried they would put me in the 'baby obsessed woman who doesn't care about her career and wants to leave" box which they really haven't although it's totally true and being primarily men (but all fathers) they have been suprisingly good about it!

I too wanted to get back to work as otherwise would feel I was just stewing over something I couldn't change. So I worked from home the week after erpc and then back the following week. I felt ok physically but a mess emotionally, but felt I needed to get back on with it to help me.

Obviously everyone is different and so is their work environment.

But am pleased everyone is putting on their nice new underwear (weird how it makes you feel good!)

fedupofrainydays · 13/07/2013 07:29

alyhope you enjoyed the champagne - nice way to end the week!!!
