phew saggy that's good news.

DDMF I don't bother with giving up during the 2ww. I have the rule I don't drink anything unless it's the weekend. And if I was "feeling pregnant" and the weekend coincided with the very end of the 2 ww I might not drink much anything

Hi ladies, hope you all had a fab weekend.

I'm still waiting for AF to rear her ugly head. Got the tummy ache, craving chocollate, have been horrendously moody with the DH, so I know it's imminent, but should have been here yesterday really. We're going on holiday on Saturday and I don't want to be stressing about pains when we're away so need her here now!!

RE drinking - I would normally only really drink during af, but I did have a few glasses the other night as it was for a special occasion. That said, how many people get pregnant without realising and keep drinking, smoking and eating things they shouldn't for the first few weeks?! I think if you want to be prepared and give it your best shot then sadly, it's a case of abstaining from it until af arrives!

Need to find the strength not to POAS, knowing full well af is on her way...but there's part of me just hoping it might be my turn!! Hmm

Sundance2007 · 01/07/2013 13:40

that would be 'chocolate'....not chocollate, though I think that sounds better! :)

DearlyDepartedMrsFinch · 01/07/2013 13:49

Sundance, are you sure it's not implantation pains you are feeling? Especially as AF was due yesterday. Having said that, my LP can vary between 14-18 days...

As for the wine, I'm not a big drinker any way, and I usually only drink at the weekend, so I shall play it by ear, I think.

SaggyOldClothCatPuss · 01/07/2013 13:51

Fingers crossed for you Sundance its not over till its over!
I'm on the last run up to AF now and the temptation to POAS is strong, knowing that I always get early BFPs! I MUST wait until at least Friday! Especially because of the random spotting!

saggy it would be very naughty to POAS before Friday Wink Sounds like potential implantation bleeding the timing would fit...?

Desperately hoping for some more BFPs for this wonderful thread soon, fingers crossed for everyone x

Hmm, thanks for the positive thoughts, though I've checked and am getting slight spotting now! Could, just could be implantation bleed but I'm not at all hopeful, think the evil witch is playing games with me again!!

icklemssunshine1 · 01/07/2013 14:53

Hi everyone,

Good to see some familiar names & hello to everyone else!

Haven't been around a while as developed a whole new problem - abnormal & excess bleeding which would soak through pad after pad. Have been in a gynae ward all w'end but have been finally diagnosed with an ovarian cyst which I'll need surgery for. I've also been referred to a fertility clinic as it seems the MC may have triggered my PCOS to act up again. Great eh? Have to go through a MC & then face this as well? Please send me some positifrickinivity!

alyant79 · 01/07/2013 15:12

oh ickle Sad
perhaps your silver lining could be the fertility clinic referral - at least it's better to get referred now than have to wait for months and months....

saggy i'll be very angry if you POAS before friday. Be strong! Early POAS is not allowed if AF was due for you today that would be another question entirely
sundance..... Hmm of course you should hold out until friday to test. if i were you i'd test tomorrow if AF still hasn't come

alyant79 · 01/07/2013 15:13

yikes that was a lot of crossing out. sorry guys. got a bit enthusiastic

Sundance2007 · 01/07/2013 15:34

Aly is right Ickle - at least you'll be in the hands of fertility experts who can give you all the help you will need as opposed to the indecisiveness of a gp who might make you wait a year before they even refer you to a specialist. .

Sounds like you've had a really shitty time lately though, hope you get back on the mend soon.

SaggyOldClothCatPuss · 01/07/2013 15:37

{{{hugs}}} for Ickle. I agree, you are in good hands.

icklemssunshine1 · 01/07/2013 16:24

Thanks all, feel much better just coming on here & getting it all off my chest. I guess the upside of the cyst is that I actually got to speak to a gynae consultant who I basically off-loaded to. Think the last 4 month's worth of pain & frustration came out in one consult! Must admit she was very good (actually seemed sincere when discussing the MC) & said going to a fertility clinic would be a start on the right path. I also feel better knowing part of the reason I feel so down is because my hormones are haywire at the mo. Hoping some BFPs will rub off on me!

Misspositivity · 01/07/2013 18:56

saggy glad your friend was found safe and well
dpmf I don't bother with the no drinking though not a big drinker. Lots of studies say alcohol fine in first 4 weeks as does not cross over.
ickles hi sorry to hear you having been having problems but as the guys say referral is another step in right direction.

Well so glad I didnt go for 3 days in a row at last poss opk on day 11 as postive again today day 14 and I seriously woul have collapsed. Flashing smiley. alyant did you go for 3 days from your flashing on or did you wait for peak. Would love to know why I get 2 peaks each month with no temp shift with first one. Think I will give the opk a miss next month.
Good luck to all waiting to poas on Friday.

StarsInTheNightSky · 01/07/2013 19:25

Hi everyone, can I re-join please? I was on the graduates page but MMC diannosed today at 9 + 4, EPRC tomorrow but DH and I want to start ttc right away. Really hoping that one day we will have a live child. Sorry if this sounds at all callous, not meant that way. xx

StarsInTheNightSky · 01/07/2013 19:26

I should probably add that consultant said fine to start ttc right away.

TeaAndANatter · 01/07/2013 19:34

So sorry to hear that. That's really unhappy news. Wishing you the very best for trying again x

alyant79 · 01/07/2013 20:00

Oh no stars. Biggest hugs. Take it easy the next few days and look after yourself

missp I waited for the peak smiley. I had 4 days of flashing, so just as well that I waited.
Yesterday I got a very very faint line on my cheapie opk. This morning was temp was a little bit higher, so was kind of expecting a dark line today. But no, it's faint again. Hmm
Not sure if we should just go for it tonight as I'd planned or keep to the every second day plan.

DearlyDepartedMrsFinch · 01/07/2013 20:14

ickle, it sounds like you have been through the mill. Thank goodness you have seen someone useful though, and now a plan is in hand, and you have explanations and possible solutions for your bleeding\fertility issues. A plan always makes me feel better I find though I may be talking rubbish. Also coming here to offload or rant is a great stress relief.

Oh, stars, you poor thing. So sorry for your loss Sad

miss positivity, you can actually release the hormone to 'ramp up' to ovulation without actually ovulating. Stress can stop ovulation in some cases I think. Then you might have a second LH surge and actually follow through with ovulation. That might explain it?

icklemssunshine1 · 01/07/2013 20:15

Sorry to hear your news stars :(

Alyant, what have you been using to track your OV? I know my cycles are messed up due to my PCOS & the cyst am still OPK to try & see if I am ovulating. So far I've only had a faint line (day 13&14) & today was totally invisible. Not sure if that means I've OV or not?

stars Sorry to hear your sad news, sending you a hug. x

I am due back at work on Thursday, so 2 more days of getting myself together before I have to face people I haven't seen for 3 weeks. Feeling very anxious but got to do it at some point. Did a pregnancy test yesterday and the line has faded (slightly) so I'm hoping that my hcg levels are on their way down...and quickly!

Thought my bleeding had stopped yesterday but has come back a little bit today...Grrr...just f&*$ off!!! Never been so desperate for a negative pregnancy test & a period.

Hope everyone is doing okay.

For those who have had ectopics...Seaside (hello, by the way Smile) and badhair - It's two weeks tomorrow since my Op, last night and this morning I was getting really sharp pains in what feels like my 'ovary/tube' area, almost like dull contractions, really painful at the time but they soon go. Did you experience this at all? Thinking it might just be everything adjusting and getting back to normal...

x
