So ladies I am OFFICIALLY off the pill now. Unforunately waiting for the fake AF to turn up and go away so I can get on with figuring out when the next one might be!

Does anyone know how long this AF will last? Its always gone away when I've started next pill packet so I have no idea how long roughly I'm looking at Confused

MissFredi I think the withdrawel (sp?) bleed normally lasts 3-5 days - Not sure though ...

Well It's a week tomorrow till my implantation removal and I'm trying to entertain myself doing other things as it is all I can think about. Got very excited hysterical when I ordered Folic Acid/HPK's/OPK's on Saturday!

Anyone else taking any folic acid or pregnancy vitamins?

All the best MissFredi! I'm still waiting for AF after stopping cerazette anyone sick of me saying that yet?. You going to wait until you have your first 'real' AF before really trying?

I'm taking folic acid hungry, although I forgot this morning... Haven't bothered with anything else but I was told that Evening Primrose oil was good for helping regulate your moods (I think)

I was at the Drs this morning because I'm getting an occasional pain in my bladder 5 minutes or so AFTER I pee, the Dr's opinion is my poor bladder is taking a beating when we DTD.

Oh how rubbish coffee! Could you go to the GP, they might be able to give you something to hurry it along... (They did with a friend of mine!!)

Will I need to make an appointment at the doctors to tell then we're trying and check everything's working?

MrsLadyL Friday according to app but I've just had some thick cm (sorry for tmi) so I don't know if that means i'm ovulating now? Don't give up just yet, what cycle day are you on?

Hopefully I will be BNmum I just wanted to get the old swimmers out, give it a two day rest so the new swimmers are ready for when I'm ovulating.

Disney I was on Cerazette , when did you come off it?

Oooh, I get to join one of these threads, hurrah! I didn't know about mumsnet until after I had DS1 18 months ago so missed out on all the trying to conceive/pregnancy/childbirth threads. I live overseas and I only found out about mumsnet after reading something in the Daily Fail about how awful it was, and how it was full of bitches. After spending 5 minutes on AIBU, I knew I'd found my people.

Completely changed my mind about having #2 on Saturday (DH was happy to try whenever). We were originally going to wait until next January before trying, so there would be 3 year gap between DS1 and DC2. I'm studying and taking 2 pretty tough exams in November so was thinking logically and figured it would be best to put it off until next year so I could concentrate fully on studying without having my head down a toilet for 12 weeks.

But then my period was 3 days late probably because I'm on this crazy strict paleo Whole30 thing (lost 12lbs in 30 days though, skinnier than I was on my wedding day - don't mention the irony of weight loss for vanity right before pregnancy) and whilst peeing on a stick on Saturday, I realised I was actually quite excited at the possibility of being upduffed. So I decided what the hell, life is too short. I'm very easily swayed, me!

Anyway, period came today finally and we're off to NYC on Sunday for a week so going to shag like teenagers whilst we're there. If we don't fall asleep after all the shopping, eating, drinking and running around after toddler first.

Most excited - good luck to everyone!

I don't you need to go to the doctors now ChubbyKitty, not unless you have some medical condition that means that you need to be monitored. I mentioned when in for something else last time we were ttc and he just mentioned the folic acid and told me I was to make an appointment with the midwife at 10 weeks.

Hippo, I had my implant removed last night, the doctor/nurse informed me that if I'd DTD in the last 7 days then it was possible to become pregnant from that as it stops working immediately and sperm can live up to 7 days. It occurred to me how disappointed my DH would be if that happened. So you know, there's always an excuse to practise! Wink

Welcome to all the newbies!

I like your thinking Cristabell, I would be more inclined to listen to your body than the app dates.

That's great news 1Catherine1, are you waiting for a new cycle or are you goin to start ttc ASAP?

Report
1Catherine1 · 01/05/2013 08:54

We were going to wait for another cycle but I think we're just going to see how it goes. The doctor/nurse reminded me that average time to conceive is 6 months, which would be majorly inconvenient as far as ML goes so, there's no time to wait!!

I'm also quite excited now, DTD last night and DH asked me how long it takes to know if I'm pregnant. So at midnight last night I was explaining the menstrual cycle to him Confused. Fortunately he knew a little about the AF bit, but how baby making fits into it - not so much.

I'm on cd 18 today. I think I may have finally noticed the changed within myself during ovulation which is a great start I think Xx

DisneyDiva87 · 01/05/2013 09:24

Crista I came off it 3 weeks and 2 days ago, starting to wonder if I should book an appointment with GP before I go on hols if AF still hasn't appeared. Did it take you a while to get back to normal after coming off it?

Report
BNmum · 01/05/2013 18:47

I'm thinking the same MrsLadyL, it's all one big learning experience. I'm on cd17 but have a long irregular cycle but I think I may be ovulating around now based on pains and changes in cm (but what do I know). Managed to dtd at the weekend and last night Wink but it now looks like the whole family is coming down with a s&d bug so that's going to put the babymaking on hold Sad

I also have exams at the minute Pudgy2011 but seem to be spend more time on here than revising. Think I may have a Brew and hits the books when I've put the little one to bed since I don't have to think about seducing the hubby.

How are you getting on Cristabell?

Hello all! I thought I'd join in the party. I finally got my partner to agree to ttc (#1) at the beginning of April (wooooo!!) but we won't be able to start until the beginning of June. The wait is driving me MENTAL. First I decided to get a full MOT at the sexual health clinic and wait for the all clear. Then I got a bit worried that I hadn't had my MMR as a child so went to the doctors this week to get that, and now have to wait a whole extra month. Boo!

Still, it's giving me a chance to start taking folic acid, taking notice of my cycle etc. I'm slightly concerned as I had a tube removed 2 years ago because of an ectopic, so if and when I do conceive I'll be terrified of it happening again. My GP told me I could have blood tests and an early scan though.

I am SO excited...I'm turning into a crazy baby lady. I can't stop daydreaming about it.
