Fine, thanks shoe gal. How about you.? xx

SoulTrain · 22/08/2013 06:28

Can I join in? AF due Sunday and time is dragging....this is our first month of ttc #2. DS is 2.3.

How early does first response tests work? I'm sure I tested a few days early with DS using one?

shoegal84 · 22/08/2013 07:11

Hi soultrain and Welcome. I'm on cycle 3 of trying for my first. af is due on Friday and I'm impatient too! There are early response tests that mean you can test up to 4 days before af is due. First response is one of these, superdrug also do their own version which ive used before and it's much cheaper. Really trying to wait until Friday though!

SoulTrain · 22/08/2013 07:18

I must wait until Sunday! The weeks usually whizz by but it's almost going backwards this week!

Good luck for Friday!

shoegal84 · 22/08/2013 20:26

So its almost Friday! hooray. af is due tomorrow but usually comes right at the end of the day or overnight so think im going to try my best to wait and test sat morning if nothing happens.

soultrain How's your wait going?

BNmum · 22/08/2013 20:41

Hi ladies! I couldn't find this thread for ages, I'm pleased to have finally tracked you all down. How's everyone doing?

SoulTrain · 22/08/2013 20:42

Lordy Lou, you've got some willpower. I'd have to test in the morning totally lying I'd test tonight.

I'm feeling definitely not pregnant. Draggy feeling in my bits, bloated, bad back...Sunday is forever away. And DH rejected my offer to go to 24 hour Tesco for a first response test about 10 minutes ago. I've just been feeling PMT-y allll week which is odd but maybe I'm tricking myself into it?

shoegal84 · 22/08/2013 21:58

Don't normally have the willpower but been spending a fortune on tests only for af to turn up exactly on time and I've then wasted my money. Going to try my absolute best and got a busy day so will hopefully take my mind off it. I can always imagine symptoms but really have no idea if I am or not. I was dizzy and lightheaded the other day but could have been pregnancy or something as simple as hunger! Just trying to take my mind off it all!

How are you bnmum?

soultrain that's probably a good thing. Try and hold out until Sunday!

internationallove985 · 22/08/2013 23:16

Hi soul train. welcome aboard. How is your pregnancy going BMmum. xx

BNmum · 23/08/2013 08:24

I hope af stays away shoegal and you get your bfp.

I've been trying to catch up on all the gossip I've missed and all the newbies that have joined (hi newbies).

I understand that your friend has been away for a while international but you're seeing him tonight, is that right? Are you in your fertile window of your cycle? Is the relationship developing well?

Pleased to hear that your hubby returned from China ** and you've been busy dtd, fingers crossed for this cycle!

Good luck to the rest of you too!

I've been suffering from nausea which lasts all day and night but other than that i'm fine. I had an early scan at 9 weeks where we saw the heartbeat Smile and i'm booked in for my 12 week scan in a couple of weeks time.

BNmum · 23/08/2013 08:26

shoegal

shoegal84 · 24/08/2013 09:45

Now on cd30 and just tested this morning. I've got a bfn and am really gutted. guess it could still be positive but in going to have to keep waiting. Just have a horrible feeling af will show up today though.

Hope everyone else is well.

internationallove985 · 24/08/2013 11:54

Hi BNmum He was a away from 18 July-8 August. So there was obviously no D.T.D for those few weeks. We made up for it when he came home though. I still see him on set days.. He took me for a meal late afternoon and bought me shoes and a dress and we got home for about 7 and made love till about 8.30. He stayed over. We made love in the early hours and from about 9-10 this morning. I'm past my fertile window but it's always good to practice(big smile). so all is well for now, thanks BNmum. As I've said previously I doubt we'll walk up the isle but the situation works well for us and as the saying goes if it ain't broke don't fix it.
I had nausea right through my pregnancy with my D.D. I've heard the more sickness you have then you're carrying a girl (well it was certainly true in my case) Why do they call it morning sickness when it lasts all day, because when I first started suffering from morning sickness about 7 weeks in (I think) I nievely thought oh it'll stop at midday. So if I do get pregnant that's one side of it I'm not looking forward to but it's all worth it and you'd endure anything for your children wouldn't you.
I remember seeing my D.D's heartbeat for the first time, it's amazing isn't it. The fact as well that you have someone developing inside you. When you go for your 12 week scan you'll notice a big difference in his/her size. Are you asking the gender at your 20 week scan or do you want a surprize? xxx

internationallove985 · 24/08/2013 11:59

Hi Shoe gal sorry for your B.F.N but still keep on testing because as you know it can day a few days to show up. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you.
A.F or mother nature if you like can be very cruel, when you're ttc your period often seems to be late giving you hope. My second month off TTC I was 2 weeks late (unheard of for me). xx

BNmum · 24/08/2013 15:22

Sorry to hear of bfn shoegal but I'm still hopeful that you may get your BFP. I hope af stays away and you don't have to wait too long for our positive result!

Sounds like things are going well international and I think it's important to build on your relationship outside your fertile period which sounds like you have been doing.

Others have also said my morning sickness could indicate a girl. When I was pregnant with DS I didn't get any morning sickness at all so this is all new to me.

shoegal84 · 24/08/2013 16:33

Thanks all, I'm keeping everything crossed, I'm just so impatient!
international sounds as though the relationship is going really well and I agree, practising is always good!

The morning sickness sounds awful, hope you feel better soon.

golden how are you feeling?

rockstars12 · 24/08/2013 18:50

Hey everyone! I've just signed up. This morning my husband and I decided we would finally start trying. We had thought we would leave it another year, but I'm 28 and have been broody the past year and really don't want to wait any longer. Money was our main issue, but we figured we would make it work.
I have been on the pill, but currently on the 7 day break, so i'll get this one out the way and start trying. Bought the vitamins this morning, time to start getting my body ready! Yay! So happy and nice to meet you all.

internationallove985 · 24/08/2013 19:35

Hi Rockstars12. Welcome aboard. and Good luck. xxx

shoegal84 · 24/08/2013 21:00

Welcome rockstars.

I'm 28 and sound in a similar position to you. I'm now in my 3rd month of trying.

Good luck x

shoegal84 · 25/08/2013 07:36

Still no sign of af! I've actually run out of tests so physically can't test at the min.

Do you all tell your partners when you test? I've used 6 tests over my 3 cycles of trying so far as I'm so impatient and I don't think hubby knows that I've even bought 1! Think he'd think I was mad if he knew, am I the only one?

He's not great when I talk about af so I don't always mention What's going on. Think he just assumes that I'll tell him when I need to but I'd love to share my excitement that I'm 2 days overdue on af and that I want to buy some more tests!

SoulTrain · 25/08/2013 08:01

My DH is very much "wait and see." We tested this morning but BFN on a second test of the morning and with a cheap test. I actually counted back and my cycles since May have been either 26 or 27 days so today is 28 days - but nothing. Hmm

The waiting is so hard!

Do you think you'll get more tests today?

BNmum · 25/08/2013 08:50

Welcome rockstars!

Shoegal If you are 2 days late and haven't got any tests, I'd tell DH of the situation and say that you need to go shopping just incase. I've found that my DH needs time to get think about the implications as that rest of my cycle he's usually in the dark. I think he'd be totally bewildered if I just turned about one morning and said "ta da! I'm pregnant!" He'd be happy but need about a week to digest the info, telling him abit beforehand cuts this time down. Although I wouldn't bother him unless I was late and a bfp was a strong possibility.

Will you skip a day then test again on tues soultrain?

shoegal84 · 25/08/2013 09:36

Thanks all. Busy day today as, ironically, I'm at a friends baby shower but will try and get some tests. How often should I test?

soultrain when are you planning on testing again?

rockstars12 · 25/08/2013 12:52

Thank you International and Shoegal!
I don't think i'll tell my other half about all the tests I take, it will appear a little loopy to him that I cant just wait 2 days until im due, i will want to take an early detection one, it's happened in the past when I thought I might be pregnant whilst on the pill and forgetting to take it routinely.
It's too exciting a prospect not to, I have very little patience when it comes to big important things.

shoegal84 · 25/08/2013 22:02

Just mentioned to hubby about getting a test and he said he thought you couldn't tell until about 6 weeks!
