Shoe gal, if you can keep up with dtd until AF arrives, that would prob be best. In the first cycle you never know when you ov! I think the pill can reduce libido, so now you've stopped it should help with ttc Smile. About when to do a test, that's a tough one. Maybe start by assuming you had around 30 day cycle and test on day you'd expect AF? Or if you notice ov signs, test two weeks after?

Vikkijayne2507 · 09/06/2013 22:13

Yes I agree blueamber im in the same boat im going to dtd regularly and test when I expect af yo arrive not much I can do other than that

DisneyDiva87 · 10/06/2013 07:00

Hi shoe I am kinda in the same position. I've no idea if I've ov'd or not plus no idea how long my cycle is. I think it's a good shout to assume your cycle will be 30 days so aim to not start testing until then but don't deny yourself or you'll just go crazy. If you want to POAS then POAS. I've got opk's for next cycle. Are you charting your cycle at all? That might help so next cycle you'll understand your cycle better

I'm cd 30 and got a bfn this morning but its not over till AF arrives!

shoegal84 · 10/06/2013 07:13

Hi Disney. I'm using an app to chart my cycle and it says I should be ovulating in the next day or 2 but no idea whether that's correct or not!

What pregnancy tests does everyone use? They can be really pricey, is there a difference?

Goldenhandshake · 10/06/2013 09:40

Hi everyone, I hope you all had a good weekend, shoegal sounds like you have been having fun Wink

C999 sounds like things are going well for you, hopefully this blossoms into something lovely for you both.

Blueamber thank you for clarifying, that makes sense now! Will wait with anticipation to monitor my own and figure out my cycle.

BNmum well it was looking promising, but this morning the bleeding is steadier again, still paler pink rather than bright red, but also had another clot, not as big but still very noticeable. I am really fed up now, Dr said I'd probably bleed for around a week, I am now on day 12. Starting to think maybe I should call my GP and check this is ok and normal.

DisneyDiva87 · 10/06/2013 12:47

I'm using the cheapies from amazon but have a couple of cb digitals in the cupboard for confirmation for when I get that bfpGrin

BNmum · 10/06/2013 13:11

I'm sorry to hear that golden. Maybe worth a quick call to he docs especially as its not showing signs of stopping soon and the 'clots' don't sound great. It would be worth it just for peace of mind.

Fingers crossed for you disney, are you leaving it a few days before testing again?

I wonder how cristabell is getting on, I think her BFP is due sometime this week.

Goldenhandshake · 10/06/2013 15:36

Well I managed to get hold of my GP, who said that bleeding is usually a week with a hysteroscopy but as they took a biopsy of my womb lining too, the bleeding could actually last up to 3 weeks. So I could have about a week to go Sad.

However I have been to the loo not long ago and it seems to have lightened right up again for now. Most bizarre!

Good luck Disney fingers crossed you get a BFP Grin

BNmum · 10/06/2013 16:25

That's pants golden but at least it's nothing to worry about and you have a rough idea of how long it could last.

CristaBell · 10/06/2013 18:50

Hi bnmum af is due on Wednesday but I been getting af cramps and had a growling belly over the weekend which I also normally get before af. Been fine today apart from the odd pain/crampy feel. I'm going to test In the morning if af haven't shown her ugly head. How's everything going for you?

any news from mrsladyl ?

BNmum · 10/06/2013 20:03

Good luck for in the morning cristabell, I hope af doesnt rear her ugly head.

I've just got my long awaited peak on my OPK so I'm busy dtd.

CristaBell · 10/06/2013 20:52

CristaBell · 10/06/2013 20:53

and thank you for wishing me luck x

CristaBell · 11/06/2013 07:13

bfn for me this morning but I'll keep hoping until af arrives.

Hope you all have a good day Smile

BNmum · 11/06/2013 07:50

Sorry to hear that cristabell but don't lose hope, it's still early days and some +ves don't show for a couple more weeks.

It's not over until af shows!

CristaBell · 11/06/2013 07:55

Thank you bnmum I am still trying to cling on to some hope but think af is creeping up on me.

Hope you have a good day Smile

Goldenhandshake · 11/06/2013 10:35

Sorry to hear that Cristabell, but as BN says, it's not over until AF arrives, hopefully she is in hibernation for the next 9 months for you x

I think my bleeding has finally stopped, not had much other than the pinky/brown stuff since yesterday midday. I am hoping that is it now.

C999875 · 11/06/2013 12:10

Hi Golden hand shake. Thank you for your kind words. xx
Sorry to hear about your B.F.N Cristabell. xx
Also sorry to Disney diva as well for your B.F.N.

Hope everyone soon gets their B.F.Ps xx

My A.F is still here. I am hoping she'll be gone by 2morrow. xxx

CristaBell · 11/06/2013 18:26

Thank you golden & c999 your all so nice. Thanks

missinternationallove985 · 11/06/2013 23:16

Hi everyone A.F has nearly gone home, yipee! B.T.W C999 has got a new name. I got bored of c999. xx

Goldenhandshake · 12/06/2013 09:24

Hi everyone, I have come down with a rotten cold and feel awful. Typical eh? Good news is that the bleeding has definitely stopped completely.

I have used the fertility friend app, to try and figure out my cycle. Apparently I should ovulate on the 23rd and my most fertile days are from the 20th this month, not putting too much stock into it as I haven't had a 'proper' period yet, but will keep using it to monitor things and hopefully have a clearer picture of y cycle in the next few weeks. Smile

DisneyDiva87 · 12/06/2013 09:37

Thanks C999/MissInter I'm feeling more confident about TTC now that I think I know what I'm doing.

MushiMushi · 12/06/2013 09:57

Hello all. Just a quick update, I'm currently 6 dpo and the anticipation is driving me crazy! I had some very subtle cramps/twinges last night, which could have been implantation or could have been general PMT symptoms - I usually get them. In fact, I was reading something the other day that said PMT symptoms are exactly the same as very early pregnancy symptoms so symptom spotting is completely useless. How annoying! I'm actually not that confident that I've succeeded this month.

CristaBell I've got my fingers crossed for you!
Golden I'm glad you're almost recovered.
missinternational I've got my fingers crossed for you and your new bloke! Sounds promising!

And good luck to everyone I missed Smile

Goldenhandshake · 12/06/2013 10:08

Hi Mushi, when is the soonest you can poas? The excitement would be eatign away at me too!

BNmum · 12/06/2013 12:49

How exciting, good luck mushi! Have you got any tests in the house at the ready?

Any news cristabell and disney?

Are you meeting up with your bloke today missinternational?

It's been very busy my end. I've managed to dtd for 3 consecutive nights following my peak OPK, looking forward to a night off but not sure we'll get chance to squeeze in another bd for luck tomorrow so may give it another go tonight. If I have another 33 day cycle then af due next tues (18/06) which is less than a week away. Surely that's not long enough for implantation even if swimmers are successful?
