Sad face A.f Just arrived 2 days early as well. Bit upset but at least it's not like last month where mother nature made me wait. So no sexy time for me 2night. I will just have to keep on having "fun" trying after A'f goes home and hopefully I will get my B.f.p in July.

Speak to everyone after A.f goes home.

Good luck everyone.! xx

blueamber · 07/06/2013 11:10

The thing is, if catherine's boss knows she is pregnant at the end of the 1 year, she might just choose not to give her a new contract by giving some reason, while in reality it's just to save money. It's all very unfair.

MrsLadyL · 07/06/2013 11:37

Thanks ladies x

MrsLadyL · 07/06/2013 11:39

@C999 you're due Monday aren't you same as me?

CristaBell · 07/06/2013 13:03

sounds promising Mrsladyl, keeping fingers crossed for you Smile

C999875 · 07/06/2013 13:07

Hi Mrs Lady L. No I got the day wrong A.f was due on Sunday she turned up this morning turned up 2 days early. Oh well the world still turns I suppose. xx

1Catherine1 · 07/06/2013 14:13

Thank you for your messages and words of advice. I'm a teacher so my start date is 1st September. And my fear is as blueamber mentioned - I don't want her to know I'm pregnant or ttc before she makes a decision about my post. It may well be easier to recruit a permanent second in department than it would be to recruit a maternity cover one. I'm thinking of putting everything on hold for 10 months which takes us to April. Then we can start ttc again and see what happens. It means even if we conceive fairly quickly then I could still get my 3 reviews (which I expect to be excellent) before she makes her decision.

Sorry to hear about the arrival of AF C999 - At least you have another month of "your friends" company Wink.

Golden - I would take it as a withdrawal bleed. It doesn't sound like a normal one. Hopefully it will come rather soon.

MrsLadyL · 07/06/2013 14:28

It's like light pink/brown discharge??

C999875 · 07/06/2013 14:31

Hi Catherine. thanks for your reply. It has certainly lifted my mood and of course "There's always next month! xxx

Monstamio · 07/06/2013 15:11

Congratulations on getting the acting promotion 1Catherine1.

I agree with suggestions that perhaps you don't need to stop ttc, though. As Golden says, it might take longer than you think to fall pg. Also, it could in fact make it harder for the head not to promote you, as they would risk opening themselves up to allegations that they are only withholding the promotion because you are pregnant, which no school wants. Additionally, even if that does happen, you will have given yourself nine months plus experience of a more senior role which will stand you in good stead if/when you apply for similar jobs in the future. Could be worth some further thought...

Fingers crossed for you Lady - it could be implantation, as others have said.

Well AF has finally buggered off, so I'm in limbo for the next week or so. We're going to a wedding right around when I was due to be ovulating and have decided to camp nearby along with my DB and DSIL. We were planning to share their (four man/two berth) tent but because of the above I've now booked two pitches and we're going to take our own tent. I mean, we get along well, but we're not THAT close as a family Wink Grin

DisneyDiva87 · 07/06/2013 15:23

Yes there is getting along well and then getting along well, hope your pitches aren't too close together Monstamio or else you'll have to complain about that noisy couple to dispel any suspicion.

Catherine I don't recall if I congratulated you on your promotion so CONGRATS! I understand why you think you should put off TTC but at the same time you shouldn't have to consider it. Is there anyone at work you can ask advice of? Like a legal team/representative or HR? Also check your 1 year contract it may have something in it about becoming pregnant and what that means for the post i.e. whether or not they have to keep it open for you.

shoegal84 · 07/06/2013 16:29

So, hubby is back from Malaysia and af is long gone. according to my app I'm coming up to my most fertile time. meaning that tonight could be the night that we dtd. It's so exciting but a little scary as it will be the first time in my life that I will have not used contraception. eek!

BNmum · 09/06/2013 08:43

How's everyone getting on? Sorry to hear about af turning up c999. Any change golden? Happy humping shoegal!

I'm back in the game after OPK displayed peak fertility this morning (cd24). I still can't believe it, I'm in total disbelief. I sat staring at it for a LONG time.

I'm now thinking if I have a 32 day cycle last month my luteal phase will be less than 8 days, what does this mean?

Vikkijayne2507 · 09/06/2013 09:41

I waiting for my OPKs to arrive to help me try and track when and if I am ovulating. I have been taking my temp since what i think is cd1 and my temp has gone up 1 degree over the last two days am only on CD7, conincidence that fertility friend says i may be fertile and I am on a very short cycle 21 or 22 days after coming off the pill, its not possible I am actually fertile and could get my BFP by the 25th surely help! Too much wishful thinking doesnt help i keep saying tiny babies everywhere i turn blooming spring time

BNmum · 09/06/2013 10:15

I'm not sure about temping vicki but I'm on another thread re:advance cb OPKs and some girls are getting reading on cd8/9 on a 28 day cycle so based on that I'd say you could very well be ovulating, get dtd. Good luck!

I know what you mean, there seems to be babies and pregnant women everywhere at the minute.

Goldenhandshake · 09/06/2013 10:23

BNmum I have no idea what luteal phase is either! I really need to do some reading I think.

Bleeding is much lighter now, more like the pale pink you'd get at the start of af, which is a relief as Saturday morning I was quite heavy and passed another quite large clot and was getting worried! Sorry for the tmi.

I am hoping this is the end of it now, ten days is quite enough I think!

BNmum · 09/06/2013 11:47

Sounds promising golden, I'm not surprised you're fed up. 10 days is a long time on top of all that jiggery-pokery to get the thing out in the first place.

Just read that short luteal phase can be the result of high oestrogen/low progesterone levels. As my advance OPKs have been flashing to indicate high oestrogen for the last 14 days this is probably true of me. I'll wait and see how long this cycle is and then go to docs armed with this new info.

blueamber · 09/06/2013 11:50

bnmumcould be that your ov was delayed this month for some reason and you'll have your AF later as well. Luteal phase is the time between ov and AF, on average 12-16 days. Apparently if it's short there is less time for the egg to implant before AF starts.

BNmum · 09/06/2013 11:53

Thanks blueamber I've just been reading about it but you've summarised it really well. I'm hoping you're right and everything has just been delayed abit. How's everything wit you?

shoegal84 · 09/06/2013 12:23

So, there's been lots of dtd over the last couple of days. my sex drive had been really low over the last year or so but it seems to have gone through the roof since ttc!
I know I'm only on my first cycle and don't think I've even ovulated yet, but trying to get my head around it all. I guess we just keep dtd until af arrives or doesn't? how long should I wait to see if af arrives or not? This is my first time of the pill since I was 15 so no idea what my normal cycle is.

All help is appreciated. Thanks so much x

C999875 · 09/06/2013 13:57

Thanks for support BNmum. I still saw my friend on Friday. He took me shopping for a meal but obviously making love was out of the question.
I'll certainly be make it up to him when A.F goes home though (Big smile) I still can't use those damn icons!
Seriously though, do I dare say I actually feel good about myself that he doesn't just want to see me for sex. I can honestly say I've never had that before.

Hope you're okay by the way. When are you testing? xx

Vikkijayne2507 · 09/06/2013 14:24

Shoegal im in an almost identical position 14 years on the pill cycle 1 waiting for af later this month or hopefully not. Im planning on getting opk so i know I actually am ovulating but waiting is very annoying im impatient which in this funny game is not a good idea

BNmum · 09/06/2013 14:26

In that case C999, I think that this af could be a blessing in disguise as it gives you both more time to build your relationship and you've given him the opportunity to show that he does care for you and not just after the sex. I sincerely hope it goes well for both of you.

I'll hopefully be dtd lots over the next couple of days and not testing for at least 2 weeks unless af arrives before.

Good work shoegal, I think disney is in a similar situation so maybe she could offer some advise?

C999875 · 09/06/2013 14:39

Hi BNmum. Good point I never thought of that. xx

blueamber · 09/06/2013 14:56

Yeah I'm in first cycle after stopping pill as well. I have no idea what's going on. It's been over 5 weeks now since last pill and no AF yet. I got a high reading on the cbfm almost three weeks ago but I don't think I ov'd. Then I thought it might have happened a few days ago, but again I'm unsure. POAS as well last week, but negative. I naively thought cycle would just be normal immediately, if I had known this I would have stopped that pill sooner!
