Aye, the witch showed up and brought her red tide of doom along too. I thought I'd be a wee bit upset but I'm actually just more excited, I feel more in control now since I have a bit of a clue about what I'm doing and have my opk's in the cupboard ready to go next week. I was surprised that my first cycle was so 'regular' (30 days) after being on different pills for so many years, I was thinking I'd have to wait 40+ days for AF to show. A friend did recommend I take Evening Primrose Oil so I don't know if that had anything to with it.

Here's hoping for a July bean, although I want to take part in a production of Hello dolly in Feb so I won't be too upset if I miss July or even August!

CristaBell · 12/06/2013 13:19

Thank you mushi I have my finger crossed for you too.

golden I hope you feel better soon.

bnmum my af is due today, but not seen her yet Smile well done on dtd for 3 nights in a row, fingers are crossed for you Smile x

DisneyDiva87 · 12/06/2013 13:22

Fingers crossed Crista!!!

MushiMushi · 12/06/2013 13:31

Actually I got it wrong, I'm on 7dpo!! I'm not too overexcited, I'm snowed under with work at the moment so that's taking my mind off it a little.

I've just got all confused trying to work out when I can test, counting back from the day my period's due, but my period varies quite a lot so I can't really use that. As I know exactly when I ovulated I'd be best off working out from that. So if I ov'd on the 5th June then implantation could occur between 11th and 18th. If implantation happened early - yesterday - then the earliest I can test is Friday. Does that sound right? I think I'm going to hold out until Saturday or Sunday. Eep!

No tests at the ready BNmum! Don't think I'd be able to resist if they were in the house!

BNmum · 12/06/2013 13:51

Sorry to hear that disney but it sounds like you have the right attitude and good luck for next month.

I'm hoping you'll be announcing a BFP soon crista!

Haha! I think I'd be the same mushi. Maybe hold out an test on Sunday? A Father's Day BFP would be amazing Wink

Thanks for x fingers crista, I think I'm going to need all the luck in the world to get preggers this month if my luteal phase is only 7days but you never know...

blueamber · 12/06/2013 17:22

That's good news, disney. I'm still waiting for my AF. Maybe I'm too stressed about it, and I know stress is bad, but I have no idea what to do. It's difficult just waiting around not knowing what's going on.

BNmum · 13/06/2013 13:45

Crikey, this thread is quiet today! How's everyone doing?

Goldenhandshake · 13/06/2013 15:28

Hi BN it is very quiet here isn't it, I assume everyone is off either wishing AF away or practicing the conceiving bit Wink

I am plodding along waiting for either soem signs of ovulation or a real AF, I hope AF does stay away though for at least a month as I am off on holiday in a couple of weeks!

DisneyDiva87 · 13/06/2013 15:48

I'm too busy thinking about what cocktail I am going to have with the girls tonight since AF came along. I organised it and then though 'crap what if I get a BFP' it's a relief not to have to make up an excuse to not drink!

Although got asked to do a 'meet and greet' for a corporate event on Saturday and I'm basically wearing a leotard with a load of stuff stuck on (the costume is actually one from the west end production of Mr Producer!) it's not giving me much confidence especially at this time of the month!

BNmum · 13/06/2013 16:13

Oh! Cocktails sound lovely, I quite fancy a Bellini right now actually Smile. I hope you have a lovely time. Rather you than me in a leotard Grin

Goldenhandshake · 13/06/2013 16:14

Disney sounds very glamourous and I hope you enjoy your cocktails.

I am now very happy as I won a love2shop voucher with one of the mumsnet surveys! I did a couple of them yesterday as I was a bit bored and can't believe I actually won something.

BNmum · 13/06/2013 17:08

Congratulations golden! What are you going to treat yourself to?

Goldenhandshake · 13/06/2013 17:25

BN I am not entirely sure yet! It's quite novel having a lump sum to spend on whatever I want haha. I do need a couple of dresses for holiday though so hopefully they arrive before my hols and I can buy some Grin I am sure there will be a treat or two for DD and DH too Smile

shoegal84 · 13/06/2013 21:09

I'm still trying to get my head around all of this. Can't believe how my sex drive has gone through the roof since coming off the pill.
The app I've got says I should be ovulating around now although I have no idea what my actual cycle is so I might not be. I don't seem to have any of the signs. Hmmm.

Beccadugs · 13/06/2013 23:30

Hi ladies,

Haven't been on this thread for a little while... Bit bored in between tide of doom and ovulation (curse you long cycles!)

Hope everyone is well!! Very jealous of your windfall golden, and your cocktails Disney! (Not your leotard through!!)

DisneyDiva87 · 14/06/2013 09:08

You'll just have to keep DTD until AF shows up (or not!) shoe, I was surprised as well at how m,y libido shot through the roof after coming off the pill. I just thought it was 5 years of marriage that made me lose interest in it! Not at all. Damn pill.

Goldenhandshake · 14/06/2013 09:22

Shoe and Disney I am the same, since the bleeding has stopped and I have been on the mend, I have demanded it every night, DH looks shell shocked and keeps asking me what is wrong! The coil really dampened my libido, I just was not interested at all, ever!

DisneyDiva87 · 14/06/2013 09:25

Hubby keeps denying me after all those years of me denying him, keeps saying how its funny that now I want a baby I am interested in him. I think he may get punched at some point.

Goldenhandshake · 14/06/2013 09:32

Disney tell him to make the most of it and stop being cruel. DH is shocked but happy after almost 18 months of me having little interest, he said he will take all he can get Grin

DisneyDiva87 · 14/06/2013 09:34

That's how I though my OH would be but apparently he has a mean streak. To be fair he is quite ill at times (long term health issues) and particularly at the minute so he isn't always feeling up to it. I'm pretty sure he occasionally just likes to be mean to me Wink

Goldenhandshake · 14/06/2013 09:36

I think he is probably enjoying it a little Disney, revenge is sweet and all that Wink

Am I the only one who is too forward and is planning baby names, picked the pram etc? Honestly it is consuming me. I am far too excited!

DisneyDiva87 · 14/06/2013 11:27

I wrote a list of baby names and we decided on a name for a girl but couldn't decide on a boys name. I'm being really fussy though, our surname starts with an A so I don't want a boys name that can be a girls name with an A on the end (Daniel-Daniella etc.), I prefer more traditional/Biblical names like Benjamin, Micah or Elias (I ADORE Elias for some reason) but hubby prefers more modern names. We'll get there when we need to though.

I also almost bought a second hand pram in work. I was an amazing pram and super cheap this was before we had started TTC but I had come off the pill! I've calmed down a little now.

MushiMushi · 14/06/2013 11:33

This wait is interminable! I'm impatient enough at the best of times but this takes the biscuit.

I'm now 9dpo and about 4 or 5 days before period is due.

BNmum I hadn't thought about that! Father's day! Although I did tell him yesterday that Sunday was the earliest I could test and he hurriedly replied "no no, don't test too early, there's no point, leave it a few more days" ..... basically he's petrified. I'm torturing him with it all, I'm amused at how much of a wuss he's being.

And Golden, absolutely not!! I spent all morning deciding on a cot and car seat! My brain has turned to pickle. I'm supposed to be working. Also I spend all day in a private window in my web browser so my partner has no idea of the lengths I've gone to in my baby madness....wouldn't want to give him a stroke before he's successfully inseminated me!

Goldenhandshake · 14/06/2013 12:07

I am so glad it's not just me Grin

Mushi We will probably be getting the iCandy Pear or Strawberry, I can't decide between the two yet, we have a small boot on our car so need something that folds very small. I know it is completely irrational to be making any decisions now, I just dress it up as being organised haha!

Disney Benjamin is a great name, I love strong boys names. DH and I are poles apart on name choices though, wildly differing tastes, so it is going to be a battle!

blueamber · 14/06/2013 12:18

Golden good news your bleeding has stopped! disney I hope you had a good time, but also that you don't have a hangover! I have not been drinking much at all for the last couple of years, because thyroid issues meant that I couldn't tolerate alcohol anymore. I hate hangovers even more now! However, these last weeks I have been fancying those Desperados my DP bought, but I want to stay off alcohol until I get my AF.

My libido has improved as well, but my DP hasn't been feeling well these last few weeks so the number of dtds have been limited.

I have been easing off the obsession and research, because it's making me too stressed! Before though I was looking at cloth nappies, anyone considering using them? I think it's better for the environment and it saves money. It's not easy to figure out what kind of stuff you would need though.

Because my AF has been absent, I was thinking of starting Agnus Caster to get it sorted, but I'm a bit cautious about it. Do you think it's a good idea?

Also, I POAS this morning, because if I start taking AC I want to be sure I'm not pregnant and it came up with a partial line, more like a dot, within the 10 minutes. Is this a false result? I don't think I have even ovulated yet since coming off the pill. It's very faint and the more I look at it the less I see it Confused. Pic here.
