I did cross my mind..... Slight spotting this morning? I'm on CD 26 X

Goldenhandshake · 06/06/2013 09:20

Hi everyone! Welcome Vikki

MrsLady are you planning on testing soon or waiting to see if AF arrives first?

Mushi fingers are crossed for you.

The bleeding for me has almost stopped now, but this morning had ewcm with streaks of pink that I assume is left over bleeding, I am a bit confused though as thought ewcm was an indication of ovulation and pretty sure I won't be ovulating a week after the hysteroscopy and coil removal Hmm. I think I am going to struggle to get my head around all this fertility malarkey Grin

Anyway, help me out ladies, what are the other signs of impending ovulation? DH and I agreed we'd be fairly relaxed about TTC but I think it's sensible for me to try and understand my cycle after years on contraception, and look out for signs of ovulation.

We are supposed to try really until end of the month/after my first proper period but just agreed we wouldn't actively try by dtd on ovulation days specifically, but we wouldn't be using anythign to prevent it happening either, just going with the flow Smile

shoegal84 · 06/06/2013 09:20

Ok, so first time around and I'm currently on cd8 (Thanks to my handy app)! hubby is getting back from work in Malaysia tomorrow so hopefully we can get started. Would you recommend doing dtd daily during your most fertile time? Or less regularly? I read somewhere that it's good to do it every 2 or 3 days throughout the month as if you do it more the sperm can get weaker or something.

C999875 · 06/06/2013 10:06

Hi Mushi Mushi. I wouldn't worry that you have only managed to make love twice in your ovulation period. I only make love once a week. Although it will be twice this week as I saw my friend yesterday afternoon as we were both at a loose end and needless to say what our afternoon consisted of! Probably going to see him every wed afternoon as we're both free then. I am Still seeing him Fri as well. xx
Hi Shoegal. Yes you're right you do not have to make love everyday as it can weaken sperm. 2 or 3 times is fine. Although it does not harm to practice. xx

C999875 · 06/06/2013 10:12

Hi Vikkijayne. Well come to the thread. Good luck in your new journey of ttc. xx

MrsLadyL · 06/06/2013 11:17

Think il wait it out till Monday as I don't want to get my hopes up too much. Watch AF will be 5days early or something, not that lucky lol

C999875 · 06/06/2013 13:16

I have noticed coffee 1 sugar has not been on here for a while. I know she's not my biggest fine and nor am I her's but I hope everything is O.k. Perhaps she's got her B.F.P but then she would have told us. xx

MrsLadyL · 06/06/2013 18:16

Wouldn't it be too early to test for me? X

C999875 · 06/06/2013 18:25

Hi Mrs Lady L.

Well that depends on a lot of factors for example a positive test will only show up 3 weeks after conception, so you could have got pregnant last night for example but it will not show up. However if you concieved 3 weeks ago then a positive test will show up. I was going to test before A.F was due but decided not to.

xxx

MrsLadyL · 06/06/2013 19:08

AF due Monday so il wait it out till then and if no AF il test. Thanks

C999875 · 06/06/2013 19:15

Hi Mrs Lady L. My A.F is due on Monday as well. Let's hope she stays away from both of us. xx

Vikkijayne2507 · 06/06/2013 19:17

I never thought I would think about it so much but its funny coming off the pill and looking at all the apps about ovulation. We are trying to dtd every few days as I read somewhere that its good to always have a supply sounds rather corny is this true

1Catherine1 · 06/06/2013 20:08

C999 - Please refrain from trying to provoke others. You do seem to have a knack for it. Coffee hasn't said anything to you that others weren't thinking, so saying you "Aren't her biggest fan" is a little Hmm. It seems like an attempt to cause another disagreement. Which you do seem to like. It really is no wonder many people have reported you for trolling.

FYI - I believe Coffee is having a little break due to the arrival of AF, I'm sure she is dissapointed and hanging around here is the last thing she wants to do until AF leaves.

In other news - For those wondering the outcome of my interview. Well, I did an appalling interview (Yes, it really was that bad) but since I'm an internal candidate and they know that I am good for the job they have compromised. They are giving me a 1 year contract to do the job. They are going to monitor my progress and if they're happy at the end of the year - they'll make it permanent, if not, they'll advertise it. So I'm sure you know what this means, we have to stop ttc. If I get pregnant now then it could prevent me keeping this promotion, I know it shouldn't, you all know it shouldn't but it very well could and as the head would have to defend her actions, it may reflect in a negative reference if I went elsewhere so she wouldn't have to acknowledge any wrong doing. I'm quite disappointed in that as you can imagine and still concerned over the lack of AF. I'm now on CD35 and poas this morning for a BFN. Idk what to do. When do I wait to to get back on the contraceptives? What is best for 1 year? I can't have the combined pill as I'm still BF and apparently it drys up my milk. Oh, idk.

Someone come and give news of BFPs! :)

Lavenderandroses · 06/06/2013 20:12

Mushi should your dp get his equipment checked out?

Good luck for this month.

blueamber · 06/06/2013 21:31

catherine what a difficult situation! It's not easy being a woman, with jobs and kids and all... So you're postponing for a full year? I don't know about birth control, but I suppose if you can't have the pill but want something you can quickly stop after a year to get back into tcc, then maybe condoms would be best? I really don't like the things, but many people don't mind although they're not as reliable as a pill.

C999875 · 06/06/2013 21:33

1 Catherine1 Okay I do get the picture you dislike me because I am not perfect like you but I am very sorry but we can't all be (perfect)
I was mearly asking how she coffee 1 sugar was and yes I may have gone about it the wrong way. and for that I will be women and apologise if any upset has been caused. I was not aware that coffee1 sugar's period had arrived and yes this will sound stupid but I did not want people to think I was grovelling. This is the last time I show concern for anyone. I can't even do that with out being called a troll! and I did say coffee 1 sugar isn't my biggest fan either so that would make us quits and not all my comments to coffee1 sugar or anyone else yourself included have all be nasty and if you're being honest you can't say they have been and yes likewise not all your comments or other people's have been hurtful to me.
It just seems that you are allowed to say whatever you please to me I understandably defend myself which I am entitled to do so, wouldn't you do the same? and yet the classic troll word comes out again. Please believe me I have enough to deal with in the real world without trolling on here. Should you be in the least bit interested Look back over my posts not once have I swore and I have always been respectful to the views of others

Like I said you may dislike me but my needs are as important to me and we both want the same thing to be blessed with a baby.

Now that's all have to say.
Good luck in your ttc journey x

C999875 · 06/06/2013 21:42

1 Catherine1 I will be honest and say I feel I have been a bit selfish I only read the part where you had a go at me. I would like to say sorry that you have had to stop ttc and also congratulations on your promotion! Just want people to know I am not all bad. x

1Catherine1 · 06/06/2013 22:12

Thank you for the apology over not reading that bit of my post. I had just written quite a sharp worded post for you over not reading it properly and then wishing me luck ttc. Thankfully I refreshed the page before pressing post. Now I am sorry if I was harsh about your comment about Coffee, perhaps I was being defensive on her behalf as she did seem a little disappointed that AF arrived then disappeared without a word. I will be leaving the thread soon and probably only lurking waiting for good news from you all so we won't leave on a bad note - Good luck ttc C999 - I do wish you get your BFP soon and complete your family.

As for my next method of contraception. DH hates condoms - it won't happen. I was thinking coil but I think Golden has put me off that idea for life, I don't want another scar on my arm for an implant for 8 months, I don't want a hormonal one that I'll have to wait forever to get out of my system and I'm still BF so it limits my options anyway. I think I'm going to have to talk to the doctor.

C999875 · 06/06/2013 22:21

Aww thank you for your reply Catherine and your apology is well and truly accepted. and thank for your good luck wishes in my ttc journey. Best of luck to you for the future. xxx

BNmum · 06/06/2013 22:29

What!? Catherine I've been hovering around all day waiting for your news which has totally taken me by surprise. I thought you'd nail the promotion, which you have - congratulations by the way!! Then to hear that you may have to delay ttc, I'm gutted for you.

Are you sure you have to stop? I can see and understand your logic but as there's no guarantee that you'll fall pregnant quickly do you really want to delay? Also, if you go on maternity leave during the next 12months won't they have to give you the same job or similar level/responsibility if you decide to return?

I hope you are celebrating in style tonight, congratulations again!

MrsLadyL · 07/06/2013 09:04

Feeling very tired and emotional this morning at work. Still ever so slight tint of pink when I wipe. Put on a liner to make sure I ain't imagining it

Goldenhandshake · 07/06/2013 09:23

1Catherine Congratulations on the promotion, however I am with BNmum in thinking maybe you don't have to stop TTC, when is the promotion effective from? Assuming it is imminent, it could still take a few months to be pregannt, and then by the time baby arrives you will be at the end of the years contract and will have proven yourself?
Something to think about. Smile

MrsLady it is difficult isn't it, hard to know whether youare imagining things or not!

I have more ewcm this morning, but the bleeding has slightly picked up again, so I am very confused Confused

Vikkijayne2507 · 07/06/2013 09:30

Congrats on the job albeit it be for a year contract. Personally I think I would continue trying. Do you have a start date, if so then keep trying as you may not conceive straight away. But I wish you luck whatever you choose to do. I am not a fan of condoms they have broken and OH is not a fan. I think the implant or pill would be the best options.

BNmum · 07/06/2013 09:57

Morning ladies!

I hope you are feeling better lady! Please don't get too down about the spotting, it could after all be implantation. It's only a few more days until test day for you, I'll keep me fingers crossed for a BFP!

Are you using OPKs this month golden? Did the docs say to expect an unusual cycle after you had your mirena removed?

I'm STILL getting high fertility (high oestrogen) on OPKs so I don't think I've ovulated yet but surely I'm running out of time. This is cd22 of a possible 32 day cycle, maybe this will be a long cycle?

How's everyone else getting on?

Goldenhandshake · 07/06/2013 10:07

BN The Dr said my fertility should return to normal very quickly after coil removal, but that I should wait for a 'proper' period after the bleeding has stopped before TTC. Problem is I am not sure when my period was due anyway as the coil messed up my cycle and there was no regularity, so I don't know if the bleeding I am having now/for the past week is still because of the hysteroscopy/biopsy or a period too?

TMI alert --- The bleeding is still bright red, passed a few very small clots yesterday evening too, but also ahve ewcm mixed in with the blood this morning.

I have ordred some opk stirps from ebay so will use those when they arrive Smile
