Don't think that! Just an annoying coincidence. Anyway, if that's the first week (and a bit) after your AF he will probably be back in time for your most fertile days and then he can make it up to you Wink

1Catherine1 · 31/05/2013 17:26

Don't read into things shoegal!

As far as fainting during pregnancy is concerned. I have fainted twice outside of pregnancy and personally I recognise the symptoms so can sit down and rest. Its not as if its an immediate thing. During my last pregnancy I didn't faint at all but did on occasion feel a little faint - I wouldn't worry too much about it.

BNmum · 02/06/2013 09:16

Morning ladies, just back from my few days away and catching up on all the gossip.
Well done Golden it sounds like a horrific experience and you did so well. Now you can put it all behind you and start ttc.
Don't lose hope ladies on the BFNs, it's still early days.
I hope the interview prep is going well Monstamio.
I don't think I've ovulated yet. I've continued to test with opks and continued to get high fertility with no peak. Managed to dtd last night after 2 nights off. The opks must be picking up a high estrogen level and not the LH surge to indicate ovulation. That's over a week of high fertility! Just been on clearblue website and found that high estrogen level is indicative of pregnancy, i'm now sat imagining that i'm preggers even though I know this is not the case. Not only did I bleed at cd20 last month but had normal af at cd32ish!
Have you ovulated yet Cristabell? Hows your SMEP going?

Goldenhandshake · 03/06/2013 09:19

Morning all!

BNmum yes it was a pretty horrible experience, one I definitely do not ever want to repeat so if the Dr even so much as whispers the word 'coil' to me in future, she is going to have one inserted uo her nose Grin

How was everyone's weekend?

I was incredibly unwell Friday night, I think I was still in shock Thursday evening and Friday morning, because like a muppet I went to work Friday, much to my managers amazement, I felt very delicate all day, and had to walk very slowly, didn't feel like I could bend either really. I think I must have overdone it though because by 4pm I was burning up, shaking, feeling sick. DH had to pick me up from the station, then took me home, put me to bed and made me take some painkillers and ordered me to rest while he went off with DD and did the weekly shop.

Saturday I was feeling quite a bit better, but still quite sore in my lower abdomen, so DH did the dusting, hoovering and changed the bed sheets while I lounged about. Sunday I slept pretty much all day, I was incredibly tired I think from the blood loss, which has just started to ease off now. DH amused DD with the park and colouring books.

So a very quiet weekend for the Golden household!

C999875 · 03/06/2013 10:12

Hi Goldenhand shake. Sorry you were feeling so poorly over the weekend. Glad the bleeding has started to ease off. Hope you're feeling much better now. My weekend was fine. xx

DisneyDiva87 · 03/06/2013 10:18

Sounds horrific Golden I don't think I'll ever get the coil either. Just reading your post makes me feel a little nauseous

Goldenhandshake · 03/06/2013 10:57

Thanks C999 I am feeling so much better today.

Disney I'm sorry I ahve been so graphic and put you off! For what it is worth I know a couple of people who love their Mirena coils and ahve had no problems, I have just had the misfortune of a wayward one that has gone 'off plan'! I think thats the problem, when they work they work very well but when they go wrong it is quite traumatic, and no one knows if it will go wrong.

MrsLadyL · 03/06/2013 14:14

Very strange feeling ladies. Only found out she was expecting two weeks ago too. Yes I could still be in this month but doubtful cause I want it!!! Anymore BFP yet?? Af due in 7days we shall see Xx

BNmum · 03/06/2013 14:15

Poor you Golden, I hope you are feeling better soon.
If you take the pain out of your weekend it sounds glorious. I wish I could get DH to look after DS and clean the house while I rest. I'm lucky if I can get the lazy sod to put his dirty socks in the laundry basket, never mind anything else.
Another high fertility on the OPK this morning, what the hell is going on? I'll continue to test until af and see if I get a peak fertility to signal ovulation or not.
Has anyone tested again over the weekend or have plans to test this week?

BNmum · 03/06/2013 14:18

So she was 11weeks before she found out? I suppose if you are taking precautions it wouldn't occur to you that you were pregnant.

I'll keep my fingers crossed for you ladyl

Goldenhandshake · 03/06/2013 14:29

BNmum yes any other weekend and I'd have thought I'd died and gone to heaven! DH has been better than I anticipated really, he said he was very worried Friday evening and kept asking me 'are you supposed to be like this, are you sure this is normal, this doesn't seem right' etc. I told him not to underestimate how much messing about down there can knock a woman for six!

I am just relieved it is all over with now :)

Fingers are crossed for a peak for you BN and a BFP for MrsLady!

What OPK are you all using? Are certain brands better etc?

BNmum · 03/06/2013 17:51

I bet! I hope you recover swiftly.

I used clear blue digital OPKs when I conceived DS and would have got the same this time round but the clear blue OPKs with hormone indicator were on offer and cheaper than others so I opted for those. If you have a normal cycle I think they'd be great as they give you extra warning that you are coming into your fertile window. As they've stated I'm at high fertility for well over a week this hasn't really worked for me or I could just be having a dodgy cycle. I'll just use them as a normal OPK and see if they give a peak for ovulation.

MrsLadyL · 03/06/2013 19:47

I'm using cheap strips off eBay X

Monstamio · 04/06/2013 08:11

Morning everyone! Hope you're feeling better today Golden.

AF finally turned up a week late and was a bit of a relief actually. So will be starting ttc again as soon as it disappears. Will be using the cheapie opks this month too.

Good luck with the interview today 1Catherine1. Smile

BNmum · 04/06/2013 10:01

Yeah, good luck 1Catherine1!

Another high fertility symbol this morning and some spotting like last month (this is cd19), wtf!? I'll have to book an appointment with the docs. I wonder if we am having too much sex? I've never suffered from mid cycle spotting before ttc in the last 2 months.

itsnotrocketscience · 04/06/2013 10:13

Hi all, sorry for going awol.

Sorry to hear about your CP flower

Have i missed anyone!?

Not much news from me, am day 19 so 2WWing. Missed DTD on a few fertile days this month so hope we've done enough to conceive. Hats off to people ttc for ages, must be really tough.

Goldenhandshake · 04/06/2013 10:51

Wishing you lots of luck today 1Catherine let us know how it goes Smile

Thank you Monsta and Rocket I am feeling human again now Grin

I will be having a nose on ebay now to buy some opk strips. Fingers are crossed for you rocket when will you be testing?

1Catherine1 · 04/06/2013 11:27

Thank you for all your well wishes! It was only my interview lesson today - which went a million times better than I had expected. Now I have 24 hours to prepare for the actual interview.

DisneyDiva87 · 04/06/2013 11:41

In that case good luck for tomorrow Catherine

BNmum · 04/06/2013 13:49

Eek! Sounds promising, good luck for tomorrow!

MrsLadyL · 05/06/2013 17:15

Don't know what to think ladies over past few days had slight cramping like AF coming but aint due till Monday... Maybe in my mind X

BNmum · 05/06/2013 20:19

Or implantation? What cd are you on lady?

CristaBell · 05/06/2013 23:55

hi bnmum sorry I haven't posted on this thread for a while. Hope all is well with you.

smep went quite well, we managed to dtd on cd7 8 9 12 14 16 and 17. I started the month using cheapie opk but found them confusing so bought a cb one. I had a smiley on the morning of cd16 but by the evening it was negative, we dtd after the negative result on cd16 so I'm hoping I had swimmers already there waiting from cd14. Now in 2ww and already imagining symptoms!!

How's everyone else doing?

good luck mrsladyl

Vikkijayne2507 · 06/06/2013 08:08

Hey guys I am finishing AF this week (came off pill early so not sure if correct or not) we are TTC No 1 so no experience. Im 26 almost 27 and OH is 31. Excited and nervous feel naughty coming off the pill after 14 years on it

MushiMushi · 06/06/2013 08:17

Hi everyone! I've not been here for a while, was going a bit nuts thinking about ttc so much so tried to take my mind off things for a bit.

According to several calculators my fertile window this month is 2nd to the 7th of June. So we dtd on the 2nd with a plan to have a go every night. Life got in the way on the 3rd and we didn't manage it. On the 4th I was getting loads of slippery CM so waited till partner returned from work but - horror of horrors - he was complaining about having sore balls, thought it was a urine infection, and wouldn't be able to dtd tonight sorry!! Aaargh!

Yesterday afternoon I started getting ovulation pains which got so bad at one point I was doubled over. Co-codamol and a hot water bottle sorted it out. So I ovulated a couple of days earlier than expected. Partner got home from work and as soon as I told him I was ovulating he started making corny jokes about me wanting his seed and made me all embarrassed. Bless him though he soldiered on through the pain and we dtd.

So now begins my first 2ww! I'm a bit gutted we didn't manage it more than twice but hey ho.

Hope everyone else is well.
