I hope it works out for you this time round Monsta but if not at least the OPK should give you a better idea of when you ovulate in your cycle so you'll be better informed for the next turn. I have a thermometer but keep forgetting to take my temp when I wake up so it's not much use.

shoegal84 · 29/05/2013 16:14

Just popped out to look round some chemists in my lunch break and prices seem to vary so much. savers sell 90 folic acid tablets for £1 where as others are selling 60 for almost £4. realistically does it matter where I get them from? guessing it's all the same stuff!

DisneyDiva87 · 29/05/2013 16:19

Double check the strength to make sure you don't need to take 2 of the cheaper ones but I'm just using Asda's own (£1 for 90)

Coffee1Sugar · 29/05/2013 17:56

Feeling very crampy this afternoon. Weird, it's only cd22 so too early for period. Implantation cramps?!

I'll keep my fingers crossed for you. Coffee 1 sugar. xx

C999875 · 29/05/2013 18:10

Oh and welcome to all the new people as well. xx

BNmum · 29/05/2013 19:14

That's great news tiny you may be lucky and not get any sickness at all.

Sorry to hear that af arrived monsta, OPKs are the way forward. I feel alot more comfortable using them especially as my cycle can be very irregular. I tested earlier and had a high fertility again. I have had a slight increase in cm this evening so I'm hoping I ovulate tomorrow before visiting my parents.

BNmum · 29/05/2013 19:17

I'll keep my fingers crossed for you too coffee!

Monstamio · 29/05/2013 20:38

Thanks Disney and BNmum. Hope you ovulate before visiting your parents but even if it happens when you're there as long as you dtd beforehand there's still a good chance.

MrsLadyL · 29/05/2013 20:46

Didn't manage DTD. But also my best friend has just found out she's 13weeks. Happy for her but so jealous as she's on jag and using condoms with her DH :( X

C999875 · 29/05/2013 21:06

I know what you mean Mrs Lady L and it's natural and understandable to jealous when someone has something you want especially when they weren't even trying. Talk about irony here's yourself wanting to be blessed with a child and your friend using the jag and condoms and she gets pregnant it's no wonder you're feeling envious any one ttc would feel that way.

However who knows you could be pregnant yourself as well but just know it yet then again so might I. I am doing my first test 7 June.

Sending you lots of baby dust. xxx

Coffee1Sugar · 30/05/2013 06:47

Sorry mrslady but it'll be your turn next! Excuse my ignorance but what is "jag"? I think my time is up for this month, still quite crampy even though its only day 23. I think it's my first proper period in 9 years coming with a vengeance Sad

DisneyDiva87 · 30/05/2013 08:32

Sorry MrsLady that sucks, but at least you'll be so much more excited when you get that BFP when you get it cause you had to work for it. Your friend probably crapped herself at first, little consolation I know...

HungryHippo89 · 30/05/2013 11:11

Sorry MrsLady - I know it's hard - one of my friends went for her 20 week scan this week - I'm really happy for her but at the same time insanely jealous.

God I've been at this TTC lark for less than a month - And it's already pissing me off Hmm I don't know what i'm doing. I was 95% sure I ov'd on the 13th May. I was experiencing extreme nausea for 2 weeks, I tested which resulted in a BFN, all symptoms seemed to dissapear. And then Nausea strikes back and i'm sorry TMI my nipples are rock solid and so sensitive they are normally pretty inverted but they are just sticking out all the time!!!. I tested this morning and I thought I saw a second line but it went after a few minutes so once again a BFN. The only other thing I've noticed is I just don't fancy eating anything - but when i force it into my mouth it's fine and I enjoy it ...

How is everyone else getting on?

DisneyDiva87 · 30/05/2013 11:26

My appetite has gone funny too Hippo, yesterday I took soup for lunch and was really looking forward to it but only got halfway through before I started to feel over full (on soup?!) Hmm I was then really off food for the rest of the day but sat down to dinner thinking I'd hardly eat anything and ended up scoffing the lot. I think it's just me imagining I'm pregnant though and inventing symptoms my temp was 36.28 this morning.

Coffee1Sugar · 30/05/2013 11:35

Just poas like the obsessed preggozilla that I am. Bfn. I need a slap. I'm only on day 23 fgs

Hi ladies

Monsta fingers crossed for you next month.

I think a lot of this is psychological, you know when you want something so bad you look for any sign or symptom? In a way I wish it had been kind of unplanned like it was with DD, seemed so much less effort and evaluation Grin.

I am in hospital this afternoon for the hysteroscopy, so imagine I will be feeling pretty crampy and rubbish for next couple of days. I just hope my side effects from the mirena subside quickly and I can get on with TTC

C999875 · 30/05/2013 12:07

The Jag is the contarceptive needle. You'll have to excuse my stupidity but can't remember the name, think it's depro. x

Monstamio · 30/05/2013 14:06

Thanks Golden - best of luck for this afternoon - I'll be thinking of you.

Trying to decide whether I might have ruled myself out too early. TMI alert, but what I thought was AF yesterday turned out to be just one brownypink smear when I went to the loo plus some spotting. Nothing since. Surely it's too late for implantation? I'm on CD33. But if not then where the heck is AF? Most perplexing. If it doesn't appear this afternoon or overnight then I guess I'll be testing again tomorrow. Feel like my body is just messing me about though!

DisneyDiva87 · 30/05/2013 16:03

You could have ovulated late Monstamio?

tinypolkadot · 30/05/2013 16:25

Sounds promising monstamio have you got any other symptoms?

Hope you got on ok this afternoon Golden

Monstamio · 30/05/2013 16:32

Zero other symptoms. I wondered about the ovulating late thing, but then I'm pretty sure timings would be out of sync for when we dtd. So I'm going back to expecting AF to make an appearance.

Sorry for going on ... I'm even boring myself. Will have to try to think about something else for the next day or two! Have resisted POAS today at least!!

1Catherine1 · 30/05/2013 18:10

Oh Monstamio - you're not boring us, we all know exactly how you feel. I, like Coffee, also poas this morning, despite us both swearing off them until another few days! And ofc it was a BFN for me too as it is far too early. Can relate to a lot that is said atm, I've also been suffering nausea for the last 2 weeks too. It would be fair to say it is probably nerves though as I have a very important interview next week.

Tilson78 · 30/05/2013 18:22

Monstamio Catherine is right, we all know how you feel and you are definitely not alone. This is the place to let off some steam. My AF is due on Monday, I have been tempted to POAS but I cant bear the anticipation of waiting for the sodding answer! Not to mention the disappointment of getting a negative or testing too early and getting a false negative! Bah. What a roller coaster. Just really trying to exercise patience and see where I am next week. Its confusing though, getting the spotting and no AF! Keep us posted.

Coffee1Sugar · 30/05/2013 19:05

Right, I'm not going to test until Monday though I reckon Af will appear this weekend. So on no account am I allowed to test before then I'm going senile. Slaps allowed!
