TTC #2 and turning into a nut job!

Ladies, bring me back down to Earth before it's too late! I'm TTC #2 and its only the 2nd cycle and I'm already doing my own head in not to mention my OH.....we're not the kind of couple to have regular sex when not TTC (much to my disappointment Sad) so it's a real effort for DS to, erm, pull his finger out as it were and DTD every other day. With DS1 I had no idea about CM and OPKs and just used an ovulation calendar for timing but this time round I'm in danger of falling into the OPK trap! I'm aware of my constant whittling and DH even said that he hopes I get pregnant this month so he doesn't have to listen to me begging for him to do it just one more time! Anyone in the same boat?

Sending big hugs to mummy Thanks
I'm so so sorry you're going through this for the second time. Having one miscarriage is devastating enough. Can I ask how far along you were?

Mummytothearkbuilder · 04/06/2013 09:16

Thank you ladies - you are all so lovely.

Ninunina - I was between 5-6 weeks - exactly the same point as the other one in Feb - neither of them developed heartbeats. I asked if they would look into it but I have to have 3 in a row for that to happen :-( x

muzzy2011 · 04/06/2013 10:59

mummy I'm so sorry to hear that. Take care of yourself. xx

mrscookie78 · 04/06/2013 19:47

How is everyone today? hope your ok mummy if your lurking?

StoneBaby · 04/06/2013 20:09

Oh mummy Sad take care

How is every body doing? Any POAS due this week? A few more days and it's dtd time for me and DH Grin

BartBaby · 04/06/2013 20:16

Doing ok thanks cookie for now anyway

Feeling a bit up and down today. AF not shown up yesterday as expected, and nothing so far today. But bfn aswell on the internet cheapies this morning. So my cycles arent going to be as regular as id hoped. Nothing is ever easy lol

BartBaby · 04/06/2013 20:18

Good luck with that stone its the best part of the month Grin

pettyprudence · 04/06/2013 20:26

Hey ladies I have been awol for a bit as been moving house. Last months ovulation coincided with moving so managed to dtd... once! Argh, needless to say it didn't work.

I am currently ovulating now and dh has had to go away with work. we did manage to dtd the deed this morning and thursday night/sat am. Would have liked to have done it last night (got my first lh surge yesterday, 2nd today) but dh was physically knackered from football. HUMPH. Every single month there has been something to block my attempts to dtd!!!

Mummy I'm sorry to hear your bad news

pettyprudence · 04/06/2013 20:28

Oh meant to add I am fed up, drinking wine and having a sneaky cig in the garden this evening - don't know if that will totally ruin conception or guarantee it and I get to feel guilty for my poor unborn child to be for ever more?

StoneBaby · 04/06/2013 20:36

petty don't feel guilty for having Wine I'm lucky if DH and dtd once a month (it worked 4 years ago so fx this time)

muzzy2011 · 04/06/2013 21:19

Totally with you petty on the wine and sneaky ciggie!

Ninunina · 04/06/2013 21:20

mummy take care of yourself sweetie. I had a mc at 6 weeks too, and though I think it's a lot easier on you physically because it's early, it must be very hard emotionally. I'm sure a second miscarriage must be worrying for you too, but chances are that you were unlucky twice and things will be fine next time.

A bit of me me me now, I POAS today despite only being 8 or 9 DPO. The test I used said it was sensitive from 10 days after conception, but I did it anyway. When I looked at the test I thought I could see a shadow where the line should have been. After 10 minutes there was an evaporation line with a tiny bit of colour.
Hopefully there will be a line tomorrow!

AbiBub · 04/06/2013 22:20

Hey lovely nutters!

How is everyone? cookie, stone yep i'm doing good thanks :0) Managing to keep myself busy within all the nicely spaced out but not too spaced out dtd! cd14 here, and last night was dtd, next one is Thursday Grin so stone any dtd schedules or just going hell for leather (pardon the expression but you know what I mean!!). I have only had cm, haven't noticed any ewcm yet, but hey ho, cant really time my watch by that one anymore as it hasn't worked well in previous months!! I have refrained so help me god from taking any temps or buying opk's so its a random lets just do it and see what happens month Grin !!

bart any af symptoms? or any other symptoms? I didn't get a + till 6weeks 6 days with our DS so I am keeping my pinkies crossed for you still Wink

petty all settled in now? How is the new place? Well if you dtd this morning then that's within your surge anyhow, so surely that should be on the right track? they do say quality not quantity so I am keeping my pinkies crossed that its done the trick!! A sneaky ciggy, wine... pah tis fine! When I was pg with our DS (and obviously didn't know at that point) I went on a camping holiday with my other half and his family and was drinking and smoking like a trooper, and he was ok!! I started smoking again about 2 weeks after having him (due to a major family upset) and still smoke now (albeit not that many). (please no-one slap me!!I have every intention of giving up again!) I think if you take out all of the naughty things, you are more likely to stress and we all know that stress can reduce your chances of conceiving any how, so don't be too hard on yourselves Grin

ooooh ninu sneaky sneaky!! you need to sit on those hands!! however, we are all nutjobs here so would prob do the same!! Keeping all pinkies crossed for you! Will you let us know how you get on?? Smile

mummy just in case you are lurking like you said you might, big hugz and love coming your way lovely.x

So ladies, I am determined to go up to cd25 on dtd just in case I am a late ov, do we think I will make it that far?!! ha ha ha! Grin

BartBaby · 04/06/2013 22:41

Hi abi glad the dtd is going well for you so far Grin it sounds like a great non stress plan you have. Im havin one more month with the opk's then going to give that a go well try to anyway

I have all sorts of symptoms. Just not sure whether they are af or pg! Im very emotional today, lots of ups and downs. And ive had backache all day. Still mega sore boobs. Not much nausea today, but it was awful yesterday. Peeing more often, i think, as i pee loads anyway! And im very tired. But arent we all?!

As ive only had one full cycle its hard to work out when af should be due. Going by last months 27 day cycle it should have been yesterday, but that might have been a one off shorter month and it could normally be longer.

I am pretty sure i ov on cd14 though which is exactly the same as last month, so i thought af would arrie at around the same time. Does anyone know if the luteal phase normally the same each month, or does it vary?

AbiBub · 04/06/2013 23:00

Hi bart not entirely sure about LP, but I would have thought so, although some people take extra stuff to lengthen their LP for optimum conception opportunities so now not so sure?! All the symptoms sound hopeful, so I am still keeping my pinkies crossed for you Grin the trouble is as graduate mums we are always tired pretty much, so that symptom is a hard one to know whether we feel more tired than the usual tired we have so much fun don't we! or whether it be actual pg!! I pee loads too, so that one again can be touch and go with me! If you're more up and down than usual, sore boobs, back ache and nausea, they can be classed as possible af symptoms, but I am hoping that its not the evil AF witch and you actually do get a BFP at some point soon Grin will ya keep us posted?? Smile

Yep, trying not to stress this month as I was driving my friendsno doubt and myself up the wall! Approx 2 weeks ish till I find out whether any of what I do this month actually works!! Hmm

BartBaby · 04/06/2013 23:16

Yes will definately keep you's posted abi or be back to vent frustrations when af shows up

mrscookie78 · 05/06/2013 08:17

I got my bfp yesterday, quite faint but did another with fmu and is a bit darker now. due between 8-20th feb Smile

mrscookie78 · 05/06/2013 08:18

guess dtd before ovulation worked for us Smile good luck to you ladies and hope we get more as we go through june Grin

AbiBub · 05/06/2013 09:13

Omgosh cookie thats great news :0) congratulations! You kept that quiet! Wonderful stuff! So pleased for you! LEts hope that starts a good run of bfp's off for this month!! Smile Flowers

StoneBaby · 05/06/2013 09:27

cookie congratulations!!!

muzzy2011 · 05/06/2013 09:57

Congratulations cookie. That's great news. With DD we only dtd once 3 days before ovulation and it worked. I think that's why I'm worrying about DH being away up until cd12....but you are right abi still plenty of time! Just worrying for no reason as always!
Hope your ok mummy. I've had a 6 week mc too and remember how awful it was. I know people who had two quickly together waited a bit to recover and then had another with no problems. Best of luck x

Ninunina · 05/06/2013 10:37

congratulations cookie wishing you an uneventful 9 months Grin

mrscookie78 · 05/06/2013 13:05

Thanks, its hard as you want to tell people on these threads but my line was so light yesterday. I bought a clear blue today and it says 1-2 weeks which is about right as we dtd two weeks ago today Grin how is everyone today?

BartBaby · 05/06/2013 15:49

I think the witch has landed Sad back to cd1

Tallalime · 05/06/2013 16:18

congratulations cookie that's great news Grin

Sorry to hear AF got you bartbaby that always sucks, as you know.

I am on cd7, usually ovulate cd15-17 so a while to go for me. Am ignoring my monitor this month and just dtd every 2-3 days. Maybe that'll work this month though being the queen of glasses half empty I doubt it

I could also kill for a Wine
