TTC #2 and turning into a nut job!

Ladies, bring me back down to Earth before it's too late! I'm TTC #2 and its only the 2nd cycle and I'm already doing my own head in not to mention my OH.....we're not the kind of couple to have regular sex when not TTC (much to my disappointment Sad) so it's a real effort for DS to, erm, pull his finger out as it were and DTD every other day. With DS1 I had no idea about CM and OPKs and just used an ovulation calendar for timing but this time round I'm in danger of falling into the OPK trap! I'm aware of my constant whittling and DH even said that he hopes I get pregnant this month so he doesn't have to listen to me begging for him to do it just one more time! Anyone in the same boat?

winter I'm so sorry to hear about what you went through with your employers. Have you taken some legal advice? companies are normally very risk averse when it comes to pregnant women. My company was making everyone redundant when I was pg with dd and I was the only person who was given a choice of taking anew role or opting for redundancy (even then they didn't use the term redundancy).
Welcome aboard mache! Sorry to hear about your mmc Sad I'm sure it's been a difficult few months for you. Hopefully June is all of our lucky months. I'm totally with you on the symptom spotting. I've been feeling really nauseous (I think actually worse than when I was pg with dd). The only thing is that it's way too early to be feeling this way. I'm only about 6 or 7 dpo and I've been feeling ill since Monday or Tuesday. The strange thing is I was the same with dd... very early morning sickness legally at the moment of conception. I've been looking it up on doctor Google and it seems that some people are sensitive to progesterone do that might explains things. ..it might also explaine why I felt sick til 20 weeks last time. If my theory is right, I'm praying that implantation goes Ok. My toddler has discovered how fun it is to jump on my tummy this week. .. perfect timing huh? Hmm

Ninunina · 02/06/2013 09:17

Sorry. .moche not mache Blush

babyrose · 02/06/2013 10:44

Sorry not been back, af arrived yesterday, but must keeping trying!

AbiBub · 02/06/2013 13:04

Afternoon ladies! How are we all?

ninu ooooh this sounds promising, im keeping all pinkies crossed for you, if you're really in tune with your body then there is no reason why you cant pick up on early feelings and we know our bods best. The added bonus for us 2nd time arounders is that we can gague it on our previous pregnancies Grin hoping the 2ww doesnt hang around for you!

Awwww babyrose sorry to the evil af witch arrived but your positivity knows no bounds!! I felt the same and it has made me more determined than ever but miraculously not putting the pressure on myself either is really helping to make me feel relaxed more this time!!

How is everyone getting on?

Im on cd12 today, with 2dtd under my belt, and a fair few more planned. Did have a little spotting after fridays dtd, but that could just be my cervix and either the tilt or the erosion right? I hope everyone is well Smile

muzzy2011 · 02/06/2013 19:06

Sorry to hear that babyrose. I think I will be joining you soon...AF was supposed to arrive yesterday but didn't...I did a test in the evening BFN, then a bit of spotting...then nothing....today a tiny bit of spotting and again nothing. I'm sure it's just AF on its way but very unusual for me as AF normally just arrives straight away on day 30 of my cycle. Today is day 31. So annoying that even though I know I'm not I can't stop being hopeful!

Tallalime · 02/06/2013 21:29

Evening Grin

Sorry to hear AF got you babyrose fingers crossed this will be your month though.

I am on cd4 (I think Confused ) AF is coming to am end so will start DTD every 2-3 days from tomorrow. Am drinking water Sad but hoping the dry month will be worth it avoids thinking of long booze free days ahead

Finally plucked up the courage to see my sister yesterday. Went OK and got some snuggles with my gorgeous niece too, she's only 18 months so that was lovely.

Took DD swimming at coral reef today and she had a blast so that was nice, she's not back at school til Tuesday so need to think of something to do with her tomorrow now... and remember to sort out her uniform which I always forget to do Blush

Hope everyone has had a lovely weekend

Tallalime · 02/06/2013 21:30

Let us know whether AF turns up or not Muzzy

AbiBub · 02/06/2013 22:04

Hey

muzzy I know what you mean, you dont want to tempt providence by thinking you are pg just in case but you feel like you're in limbo land because your AF hasnt arrived yet. I hope it doesnt arrive and its just too early for your bfp instead. Shall still keep all pinkies crossed for you! Will you let us know?

talla well done for braving it for going to see your sister Smile the main thing is you are showing your support, and your turn will come soon enough I think :0) keep up the good work with the no booze thing, sounds like you're doing well :0) its all worth it in the end.

How is everyone and how have your weekends been ?

mrscookie78 · 02/06/2013 22:23

well done Talla for showing support, I guess your local to Coral reef then? its up the road from me Grin small world! what parts of the country/world is everyone else from?

sorry to hear you got af baby rose.

Coolhand · 02/06/2013 22:36

Hi Moche - sorry to hear about mmc - that really must have been heart breaking. I hope this thread is lucky for you!

I'm seriously getting excited for you Ninu - that all sounds like my last pregnancy so fx something will come of this.

Muzzy hope you know either way soon. Until AF arrives, there's still hope!

I'm on CD5 - so feeling positive! Weekend has been good - visited my cousin and her 4 week old yesterday - my DS kept kissing him on the head, all v cute. Apart from that, lots of work, which I need to head back to now...

AbiBub · 03/06/2013 00:03

mrscookie im along the south coast, sussex born and bred!! :0) forgive my ignorance , coral reef where? (Can you tell im tired!!)

cool awww that is very adorable of your DS bet that made you feel all the more broody! ! Feeling positive for all this month. I know that feeling on lots of work! I will be busy this week im sure, hope you manage to get on top of yours! What do you do? :0)

Ooooops is that the time! Off to bed methinks! Night all! :0)

mrscookie78 · 03/06/2013 09:05

how is everything today Muzzy?

sorry about your mmc moche.

Coral reef is a water world swimming pool with a pirate ship, slides, small rapids etc. great fun but gets ridcously busy at weekends.
Happy Monday everyone, nice and sunny here. I'm on day 32, have some Internet cheapie sticks turning up this week. Smile

AbiBub · 03/06/2013 09:27

Morning ladies!

Very sleepy here today! How are you all?

mrscookie hope those cheapies turn up soon, so when is/was af due? Ahhhhh I see, I had never heard of that ace before! Sounds great fun though!

Im on cd13 now cm is increasing, we have dtd planned for tonight and Thursday and Sunday of this week and then the following week we think we will try and get it in twice if we can then there's less of a wait in that sense, plus if I ov early or late I think at least we will have covered all the bases!!

How wad everyones weekend?

muzzy2011 · 03/06/2013 09:35

AF has arrived, quite a relief really as I knew it would. At least the 2ww is over for another month.....bit gutted though as DH is away on business until CD12 this month. Still, we will have a chance when he's back.

Good luck to those still waiting.....

P.s. I'm near coral reef too!

muzzy2011 · 03/06/2013 09:45

P.s can anyone recommend some cheap OPK'S I can order?

BartBaby · 03/06/2013 10:09

Last month i got some cheapies off amazon and they seemed to work ok. 20 for £3.75 and free delivery. Im thinking off getting the clearblue smiley face ones this month to use along side them (just to check they are working ok really and both show positive at the same time) but at £17 for 10 on amazon its a big price difference

StoneBaby · 03/06/2013 11:35

I am now on cd10 so it seems a lot of us will be dtd this week and next! Fx we all get good news this month.

I use Boots opk as the Clearblue are too pricey and the Ebay cheapies I bought last months i did not trust.

AbiBub · 03/06/2013 11:38

Awww sorry muzzy that your AF arrived but glad that you feel positive about the month ahead, cd12 is still not too late!!!

Hows everyones day going? :0)

Ninunina · 03/06/2013 12:40

Hope everyone is having a good Monday! I'm managed to catch DD's cold so we're both having a quiet day inside (thank god for peppa pig).

I was super curious to see what my symptoms were last time I was pg so I looked up an old thread...and guess what? I had the same nausea 2dpo! I also had a very faint bfp at 9dpo, so I think I'll try POAS on Wednesday to see if my suspicions are right. Oh I do hope I'm right. I might have to check myself into a mental hospital otherwise for imaginary morning sickness!

I'm hoping DD and I only have a cold. There is a lot of slapped cheek going around where I live, and it can be quite dangerous in pregnancy...so it wont be great if we've caught that. ..especially since almost all my friends are pg and hopefully I am too.

Mummytothearkbuilder · 03/06/2013 21:50

Hello ladies

I hope you are all okay.

I am disappearing for a while (may still lurk!) and didn't want to leave without saying goodbye!!

Sad day today as the EPU confirmed I have lost this pregnancy :-( I started bleeding last night and the scan confirmed minimal growth since the last scan, I am just deciding whether to wait for nature to take its course or go for the surgical option.

We will be taking a break from TTC for a while - 2 miscarriages in 4 months has taken its toll on us emotionally so we are taken some time to try and recover.

Massive good luck to you all and thank you for all your wonderful support. Big hugs to you all xxxx

Tallalime · 03/06/2013 21:58

Oh mummy I am so sorry, what crappy news Sad

Be kind to yourself won't you, and when you are ready to ttc again we will be here to welcome you back with open arms

Lots of love sweet xx

mrscookie78 · 03/06/2013 22:43

I'm so sorry to hear that Mummy, take care and look after yourself xx

BartBaby · 03/06/2013 23:01

mummy sending big hugs to you Flowers so sorry to hear that. I really hope you will be ok. We will be here waiting for you when you are ready to come back xx

Mummytothearkbuilder · 03/06/2013 23:04

Thanks ladies - still in shock!! I had a good feeling about this one but it wasn't meant to be :-( xx

AbiBub · 03/06/2013 23:10

Oh mummy so so sorry to hear this, life can be so cruel and more so to the nicest of people of which you are. The biggest hugz are for you right now.
I dont blame you for taking the time out, look after yourself and as talla has said be kind to yourself and I totally agree. Time and tlc is what you need for the foreseeable.

With much love. Take care. Xxx
