Hi everyone, welcome Twogirls and CONGRATS!! Don't worry, I agree with metime 100%. A line is a line.
I tested early for my second and it was so faint I had to post on here to ask for advice.
I did 4 different tests to be sure (excessive old me!) and they had the same faintness.
I had a thick, deep, obvious line with my first but like I said, I was probably about 17/18 weeks by then so that's understandable.
Sorry Popsy to have raised your hopes up but it's true, every pregancy is different and you can have so many different symptoms.
Finding out at 18 weeks was, to say the least, a shock.
My period was always so erratic after stopping the pill 9 months before, and I was forever doing pregnancy tests that were coming up negative so I stopped testing, assuming I was never pregnant but always had irregular periods.
I had absolutely no conscious idea that I was pregnant, in fact I was booked in for a fertility clinic appointment (I hadn't even asked for one but my GP suggested it. I guess because I was 27, he just assumed that I wanted children but actually, I wasn't that bothered if it never happened [that was then]).
I think my GP was more excited than I was when I told him I was pregnant, but he certainly didn't suspect that I was that far gone.
The first concern that came to my mind was "I've been drinking alcohol!!!".
But luckily for me and my baby I don't drink much at all and I had gone off drink (probably due to the pregnancy but I didn't know it at the time).
GP said not to worry about that (what's done is done kind of thing).
So there. It's weird that I didn't put on weight and that my boobs didn't change.
