TTC#3 Anyone who is care to join me?

We actively started TTC#3 yesterday. I have a DD1 who is almost 8yrs & DD2 who is 13 months.

Scared about going from 2-3 but excited at same time

Cycle1 BFP due15th Feb.

Choc - I have no plans to celebrate really. My dad's birthday is next day and we normally have a family meal.
However, DH has taken day off work and told me I need to also so not sure what's happening

Does anyone else dp really not get why we love Watching OBEM so much?

My dp is decidedly about it. Perhaps it's because the only programmes I watch are call the midwife and OBEM!

Yep, my DH the same about OBEM especially now we're TTC.

Hate this waiting! Forgot what it was like as DD was conceived when DS was only 6 months... Bit if a shock!

Only had my coil out 2 weeks ago but was ovulating that day and we DTD day before and that day. Am far too impatient for this.

Leaf my DH will watch OBEM but not Call the Midwife.

Really hope this is your month. I'm on 2ww wait (I think) still had loads of EWCM yesterday. So dtd extra couple of times and DH def on board now lol

Quick question to people who have had coils removed - did you have a bleed soon after having it out? I did but wasn't sure if it was a period or a reaction to the fact that it was removed (I didn't have periods when it was in)

I suppose there's no way of knowing if/when I've ovulated this mnth...?
Guess I'll just wait for my next proper one..... or if it gets to 4wk without anything will be worth doing PT - eek!

Popsy - I had a copper coil before I had DD2 now 13 months and don't remember bleeding just having a period. Hth.

Popsy: I just had mine out and had nothing, no spotting even, then a painless bleed after 4 days. I'm not sure what it was now. Should have been ovulating the day it came out.

I have to record OBEM as OH won't watch it but I love it! And just watched call the midwife (which OH will watch?!) love it .

well may be making headway- OH is talking about moving the office (bedroom no 4) into the garage and even the possibility of a conversion of the loft above the garage to make more room for.... for what?? :-) he hasn't jumped up and down saying he wants a third but the prospect is looking more and more likely....'chip chip'.....

Watched Call the Midwife tonight and cried. Can't help myself.

I held my 4 days old niece today and she's GORGEOUS and so small. 8 year old DD also was very keen to have a cuddle (with the baby not with me!).

I asked her how she would feel if I had another baby and she said: "I would love it, but only if it was a girl".

I am quite annoyed that I keep changing my mind though, my body seems to urge for another but my mind gives me all the reasons why I shouldn't.

At the moment it's: YES. DH still very keen but pissed off that I keep changing my mind.

Haven't been on the thread for a bit as I was getting a bit too obsessive about MN and TTC and so have been trying to stay away from MN for a few days, but I couldn't last long :)

So I'm definitely either pregnant or pre-menstrual - I just can't decide which Today I'm having a 'definitely pregnant' day and have the fear which I feel a bit silly talking to anyone except you lovely ladies about as I'm suposed to be the keen one (out of me and DH) and no one else knows we're TTC...

choc blondies and darkside - hope you are all dealing better with the 2WW than me and not driving yourself mad with symptom spotting.

Mumof I found that accepting that we weren't going to have any more DCx and getting rid of all my maternity stuff/cot, was what made my DH change his mind about the whole thing.

I love watching Call the Midwife and OBEM too, though didn't manage to watch all of CTM last week, as it looked like it was going to be too sad... though still have it on tape, so might try again when I'm feeling a bit braver.

I know the feeling about being unsure about TTC sometimes. Every month I do a check that this is definitely what my DP wants and I question my own motivations too. My DP is incredibly excited about it all though so it's me who needs to keep the doubts away. I think it's because I don't know anyone with 3, it seems a little extravagant and scary to me somehow. But I know I'm ready for this baby. I should be after 8 months of trying!
My 9 yo would love a baby sister. He keeps asking if it might be possible one day.

moonblues I can see why that worked- getting rid of everything makes it feel so final, but I think it might backfire with my OH! He'd say we can't afford to re-buy everything- lol! Though I did managed to lose our buggy -yes LOSE it! (putting kids in the car then drove off without putting it in the boot- d'oh!) and it's a double one. May need to borrow one if we have no.3 as our backup one doesn't have a baby/cot facility. And he mentioned we'd have to buy/borrow one so he's thinking about it! And said we'd have to start ttc in July to make sure youngest ds is in pre-school. I guess I can start mapping out my ovulation from May to see when is the best time! God, I'm obsessed!

ps-Does anyone mind me asking- what are your work situations? I'm wondering if it's because I'm not working that I'm focussing on having a child instead of something else. Was made redundant last year and can't find a job (I want part-time and seems I have to compete with a hundred or more applicants for each job I see). I'm worried it'll set me back if I have another-I'd like to re-train once kids are all at school....

Hi mumof I've worked part time for same company for years, I was regraded out of pt time management last year but am enjoying having less responsibility and stress, full time positions have come up lately that have been tempting but I'm putting ttc for number three first! I figure the way things are heading we will all have to work till we are 70 so plenty of working years left even if I don't restart a career till I'm 50!

mumof I am a SAHM and do celebration cakes every now and again which I sell. But we don't actually need the little extra money that I produce.

All the same I would like to take my business more seriously and start adverstising properly so I can expand, so it's weird that I also have this baby desire.

This morning I woke up and thought: "there is no way". And now I'm back to "definitely" again.

Last night, one thought that put me off slightly was that if the baby was crying and woke up my DCs, or even DH, I would feel really bad as they have to have a good night sleep before school, and DH's job is quite demanding so he needs his rest (although he doesn't tend to complain bless him).

I remember sticking a dummy in DS' mouth to quieten him so he wouldn't wake up DD. Although I quickly got rid of the dummy when he was 2 months and a half and found his thumb.

Does anyone else worry about that or does it sound really trivial?

Queen No plans for 30th as yet, it's in the summer so plenty of time. Enjoy whatever you end up doing! Any symptoms yet?

mumof Keep on chip chipping! How exciting! I'm a SAHM, I've applied for part-time jobs for the last few years resulting in one interview. Very frustrating but nevermind. I hope to train in something too although I've yet to decide what for...

Welcome back moon I'm trying not to think too much about the 2ww mainly because I never have any early symptoms. I get sore boobs which appear literally the day I'm due AF. When are you hoping to test?

toffee01 that's great to be able to do that as a hobby and make a bit of pocket money- you should look into expanding it! I looked into making cupcakes recently -bought some piping nozzles, pans etc and found the whole thing a bit frustrating! I was thinking I could bake and sell but think I did it wrong- you need to develop a hobby then start thinking about selling, not the other way round- and my cupcakes need a LOT of practice! I do love crafting and my passion is mosaics so should really focus on that and maybe sell a few at craft fairs.

choco seems theres a few of us out there not able to find work- with the recession at the moment I think it's just got ridiculously hard. We can manage on one salary but I think if we have a 3rd it'll get pretty tight and DH gets stressed about money.

thethreeblondies it is probably easier to work part time if you're thinking of no.3! Yeah I guess these days 40+ isnt that old any more when thinking of a career/career change- that's what I keep telling myself anyway!

toffee regarding waking in the night- I do worry about that- esp as our bedroom is really close to DS1, I remember DS2 waking us and him and we did have a few weeks of it affecting him but he soon got used to the crying. It's tough,but without moving to a bigger house or one where the bedrooms are further apart (why are bedrooms in modern houses so close together?? and our house is 20 yrs old) there's not much we can do. I guess it's a temporary problem where everyone might be tired for a bit- does make you feel guilty for the other kids.

DH made me feel guilty the other night saying are our 2 kids not enough, that I want more! It's not that they're not enough, I just want one more!...

2ww stands for 2 week wait, from time of ovulation till we find out if we are upduffed or not! x

No symptoms yet :( which is prob a good thing as I'll be driving myself even more stir crazy than what I already am!

Re work. I currently work 25-30hrs a week over 4 days. Once DC3 is here I will become a SAHM as my wages wouldn't even cover childcare costs. However, I love my job but am looking forward to being at home.

mumof my answer is that they are so great I want more of them!!
toffee dd1 is doing gcse's so will have to make sure it isn't too disruptive but she is a worrier and even she is trying to convince us to have one, it'll be worth it.
mumof I just started a new career about 2 years ago which I really enjoy. They are flexible so should be fine going pt. I always wanted 4 tho so have been trying for years to convince DH. I can't waver now, I might never convince him again!

Toffee - sounds good for extra money. I do cardmaking and get a few extra pennies but also starting to make free from cupcakes so if word of mouth spreads okay I can make extra pennies then. DD2 has food allergies and hard to buy cakes specifically for her and easier to make and I know a few others in my position too.

Hey everyone. Hope you're all well. It's very snowy here and the DCs had great fun pelting me with snowballs on the walk to school.

Hi choc It's nice you've got the same gap as me. My DCs will be 6 & 4 before any babyblue arrives. I'm hoping it will work out well, but I'm a bit worried about DC3 feeling left out as my first 2 are such good friends. I'm trying to hold off testing until at least the weekend. My periods have been a bit irregular and TBH I wasn't really paying attention before this month. Also I have no clue when or even if I ovulated this month. All in all I'm not very clued up this month. So currently day 28 and no sign of AF yet. Think I would prefer AF to arrive than get a negative test, so trying to hold off as long as possible.

mumof I work part-time 3 days a week. So I just obsess on my days off work! When I'm at work I'm too busy to think about it or if I do it's just to worry about having to tell my manager I'm pregnant - don't expect it to go down well...
