We actively started TTC#3 yesterday. I have a DD1 who is almost 8yrs & DD2 who is 13 months.

Scared about going from 2-3 but excited at same time Grin

Cycle1 BFP due15th Feb.

Hi can I join in? Not TTC just yet but contemplating it seriously.

I am turning 37 this friday and thought I was passed it and maybe pre menopausal or something but the GP told me I wasn't as I had plenty of oestrogens.
So that made me think. I have been thinking about having a third since my youngest started school, but we couldn't afford it at the time.

Now we can but I am terrified about my age being a risk.

Plus I've got a girl and a boy (DD is 8, DS will be 6 in March) and I'm a bit concerned about the big age gap.
Other than that we have just bought a 7 seater car, space won't be an issue and financially it's good too (I wouldn't have to go back to work).
Also DH is very keen. I am dying for another baby but I'm being a scaredy cat.
Why complicate my own life when everything is so easy now?
What if there was something wrong with the baby?
My head is all over the place.

Welcome toffee.

I have a 7 yr age gap between DD1 & 2 and its a lovely gap. I'm worried about a close gap between DD2 & DC3!

Hi everyone.

I've also been posting on the 'pointless' thread as we are hoping to TTC #3 in April.

toffee my DD is 9 (will be at least 10 when DC#3) and my DS is 6 (will be at least 7 when DC#3). I'm hoping to have 2 little helpers with the baby Grin

I'm much more excited about TTC #3 than my DH. For the past few years he said 'no' and wouldn't discuss it. It matters so much to me that I wrote him a letter, we always seem to argue if I tried to talk about it so this way he had to listen...well, read!!

He's now said 'yes, but not yet'. I have pinpointed the April date as we go abroad, less stresses and he also said he doesn't want a baby this year. So, the minute we hit April, a baby conceived will be due in 2014, I have it all planned!

I'm expecting it to take longer than previous though as we were in our 20s then and we are now both in our 30s.

Hi fellow TCC3'ers (and those thinking about it)

Anyone else hoping they'd be more relaxed about it this time? I only had my coil out 3w ago and I'm already symptom spotting obsessively and can't stop thinking about an (out of date) PT I've got left over from last time...

I've got a DS who's nearly 4 and a DD who's 14m

x

hi guys. I'm going to be 40 in march. we have a 3 and 5 year old. both girls. I had a chemical pregnancy earlier those month after having no difficulty with the other two.

now really nervous of the same thing happening again. trying again as soon as and keeping everything crossed.

Hello everyone,
Popsy- I have no delusions, I will be am sooo obsessed about this. I haven't 'tried' before so very excited and I'm rather obsessive at the best of times. :)
I'm not too worried about age. Most of my friends were in their late 30's early 40's when they had their first. They did seem to find it harder than me (I was 20) but having #3 at this age is not the same as having #1.
Mumof - I gave up on convincing DH in the end- he is doing this simply to make me happy because he understands it means a lot to me and will earn him major points. It sounds like your DH might be close to tipping point. :)
Fingers x for you white (and for the rest of you already ttc).

I've been convinced I was pregnant today (defo phantom pregnancy!!) as I was feeling extremely nauseous (had a super fast lunch in my car that's why!) and we did it unprotected with DH as it was only the 8th day of my cycle (that's a first for us normally we use condoms religiously but this time I thought the 8th day of my cycle was safe enough).
But I seemed to ovulate early this month (if I ovulate at all these days, I have no idea).
I am still unsure about actually trying for n#3 but I thought, at least if I'm pregnant now I could say I fell pregnant at 36 as tomorrow I will be 37 Wink

Well i'm glad there are a few on here 'thinking' about ttc so I don't feel such a fraud ;-)

Fairypants and Choco- yep I think he may be at tipping point though I'm still holding my breath. I sent him an email (as I'm not sure he's been taking me seriously) to read at work- so I think a serious chat is iminent- I think his worries are financial and space. We have a 4 bed house but one bedroom is an office- so I guess my boys will have to share- I think they'd like it -like you choco- mine would love a bunk bed but eldest is only 3 1/2 so a few years before he's old enough for that.... Could get rid of the office but OH works at home a few days a week...

I think it would feel a bit cramped but it doesn't stop me wanting another!!

Fairypants- I think OH may do the same and go along with it because it's what I want- my only reservation here is he has a good knack of blaming me when things go wrong- so if things were hard, child was ill, money tight etc he'd probably blame me! (like the cat is always 'mine' if it's been sick or being a pain) and that would drive me crazy!

I've even thought along the lines of going on the pill and being 'lazy' about taking it but that would be dangerous and I'd always have that thought in the back of my mind that I'd planned the 'mistake'... not a good way to do things despite how easy it would be!....

well, I'll keep chipping....

good luck to those of you already trying- am tres jealous!!

Yay queen- even if you don't get anywhere, it's good to enjoy trying!! :)
Wish I could already.
You keep at it mumof, it's no bad thing for kids to share a room specially when they are close in age.

Hi, I've been TTC my third for 8 cycles now...? Depressingly, I've lost count. I honestly thought I would fall pregnant the first time as I did with my other two (12 and 9 year old boys) but my body isn't being as cooperative. I had my first two very young and now I'm 31 and starting from scratch it seems. My DP is so incredibly excited about TTC, it's adorable really.
Good luck to all of you.

Sounds good Queenofclean. Smile I think I need a good dose of positivity.
Currently 7dpo and quite relaxed and blasé this month. This might change in a few days however.

Choc as of today I'm on my 2ww. Wish I was still in bed, I'm at the leisure centre waiting for DD1 to finish her swimming lesson.

6 days till I'm the big 30!

I'm in the dreaded 2WW too! We have undertaken a mammoth spring cleaning exercise and are sorting out the loft, what fun! But the planned loft conversion will be good extra space (hopefully just in time for number three Smile )

DH leapt out of bed this morning, think I've scared him this cycle with my plan of eod (and a couple more for luck!)
